Now, let's get right into the action!

Gibbs was beside himself, was he really letting other people retrieve his son? Yes he had to make sure his girls were ok, but his boy was in there somewhere & he needed him too! He started to pace in front of the front line, what the heck was he doing?

Shannon just watched as her husband began to pace, she could see how torn he was, but she knew this was killing him "Jethro" she called quietly, she got no response "Jethro!" she called a little louder, but nothing, she shook her head. She went right up to him "Gibbs!"

Gibbs startled "Shan?" he queried as he came to a stop.

"What are you doing?" Shannon asked quietly.

Gibbs just shook his head "I…." he honestly had no idea, but this was driving him nuts! He kept flashing a look all around before looking downwards.

Shannon smiled "could I make a suggestion then?" she asked leaning down a little so she could get to look into his eyes.

"please" Gibbs whispered.

"Get your butt moving perhaps" Shannon suggested

Gibbs eyes widened as he looked up "sorry?" he stuttered, what did she say?

Shannon sighed "darling, you & I both know that you're going insane just standing here, I know you need to go in there, you need to go after our boy. Kelly & I will be fine, so off you go!" she finished pointing to the warehouses.

Gibbs stared at his wife for a moment, he leaned in & brought their heads together "I love you, I will take care, I will come back safe" he finished in all but a whisper.

Shannon smiled "l love you too" she gave him a kiss before pulling back "now would you get moving please? And take someone with you please"

Gibbs nodded, he turned slightly "hey Pride, let's take a walk"

Pride smiled "my pleasure" he nodded as he headed for his friend.

Vance caught Gibbs eye, he simply nodded at the man, he knew what the underlying message was, and he would do whatever he could to look after Shannon & Kelly whilst Gibbs was gone.

Shannon headed back to her daughter and she brought her into his hold "dad will make sure Nix is ok darling" she soothed as she rubbed her daughter's back.

"yea" Kelly agreed quietly

Gibbs gained his laser focus as he walked straight for the entrance, all of his nerves had vanished as he walked with his hands firmly on his rifle, he was finally doing something & he could feel the adrenaline start to pump. But more than that, he would get his boy back no matter what or who!

Tony went around the corner, his hands were wrapped around his rifle and his finger, it was on the trigger, he was ready to shoot, he was ready to fight, he was ready to beat these men to a pulp, he was ready for anything.

Tony pulled up short, ok so he wasn't ready for anything! What the? He lowered his weapon instantly "Phoenix!" he exclaimed.

"Phoenix!" Myles & Harry both exclaimed in shock, what on earth?

Nix let out breath and sighed "thank heavens!" he remarked quietly as he saw Tony.

Tony instantly moved towards him & he wasn't alone! "Phoenix, you ok?"

"Not in the slightest" Nix admitted, he was sore, so damn sore it wasn't funny, he ached everywhere! That's when he felt his young companion shift "easy Jake, they're friends" he remarked as he finally took in the 2 other people with them "Harry?! Myles?! What're doing here?"

"To get you squirt" Harry replied as he crouched down next to him, gosh he was a wreck!

Myles surveyed the boys, Nix was resting against the cement wall, he had a fair amount of bandages on both his left knee & right arm, and a whole lot of cuts & bruises. The young kid, Jake was resting right on Nix's left side, he didn't have any injuries but he could tell the kid didn't look well. "we're going to get you two out of here" he remarked

"Gotta get Jake to the hospital" Nix remarked

"We've got his medication with us, and Ducky's here too. You also look like you could use some care bud" Tony remarked looking between the boys. He focused on Jake, his nephew had barely lifted his head out from Nix's chest and he really wasn't looking good.

Myles took a breath & opened his comms "Team one to all units, we have both the small & red packages in our care, will remove them from current location & back to central"

Gibbs was about to cross the threshold into the warehouse district & pulled up short, he flashed a shocked look at Pride, they had the boys already? "location?" he asked hastily.

Myles relayed their location as requested.

Ted's eyes widened, he shared looks with the rest of their group, Nix & Jake were across the road? "let's get cover sorted, we need all avenues covered"

Vance shared a look with Jeffrey & Niall he saw the shock on their faces & knew his face mirrored theirs, they had the boys? He turned his focus towards Shannon & the others "Myles' team are with Nix & Jacob, they've got them"

Kelly breathed a sigh of relief, thank heavens! She felt her mum relax a little too at the news, though she knew that neither of them would really be relieved until they saw him.

Thomas's eyes widened at the news, they found the boys? That meant… did that mean that this was all real? Damn!

Patricia let out a breath she didn't realise she was holding, thank the stars! Was this finally going to be over?

"Let's get you both of out of here" Tony remarked, he was suddenly feeling an extreme sense of protection with both of these boys. He wanted to understand what had happened, why these boys were out in the open, but he knew he needed to get them to safety first!

Tony shifted positions to try to get a better look at his nephew "hi there" he smiled

Nix rubbed the boy's back "Jake, this is.." he suddenly realised the connection "this is Tony, he's…" he really didn't know how to put it as he looked at Tony.

Tony suddenly realised that Nix knew the family connection, he put a hand on his shoulder "I got it Nix"

Tony put his other hand on the boy's head "Jake, hi my name's Tony, and I know you may not believe me, but I'm your uncle, your mum's brother" he finished with a smile.

Jake finally lifted his head, he was still so scared, and the sight before him didn't help, there were 3 men in front of him & they were all looking like they belonged in one of his online war games that he played. Looking at the one who called himself Tony, he seemed friendly enough & he did have green eyes similar to his own. Was his Pop telling him the truth, did he really have an uncle? "Hi" he said quietly.

"We're going to get you out of here, and back to your mum, can you let me take you?" Tony asked, he knew that Nix was injured & he wanted to carry the boy instead.

"To my mum?" Jake asked quietly, he wanted her more than anything!

"Right into her arms" Tony confirmed as he held his arms open for the boy.

Harry watched as the boy gingerly moved and helped him to Tony, who instantly took hold of the boy. He shifted on his feet to put his arm on Nix's shoulder "you ok to move?"

Myles saw something, he crouched down in front of Nix "take a breath squirt, in & out, you're safe now, we got'ya"

Nix dropped his head back onto the wall behind him, he took a breath, now that he didn't have Jake in his immediate care he could let out a moan, he really hurt "everything hurts, and Mike.."

Myles strengthened his hold on Nix's shoulder "Mike's stable squirt, he's fighting, he won't succumb to these bastards, he's stable" he finished looking into Nix's eyes "we'll help you out, and back to your family, your dad's on his way to us too"

Nix nodded "ok" he was glad that Mike was stable, but right now he just needed to see his family, but mainly his dad.

"Let Harry & I take the load, we've got you" Myles assured him as he moved to his side.

Harry eased Nix's arm over his shoulder & saw the flash of pain in his face "sorry squirt, but we need to get your arms around us so we can lift you" it was apparent to him that they couldn't let Nix walk, he was shaky enough just standing up.

"I know" Nix groaned, he tried to put as much of his weight onto his good leg as he could, but it was a struggle

Myles got a good hold of Nix, he'd lift his leg when it was time to go but first "lead team 1 to team 1, have ZD come across to provide us rear cover as we transport across plains"

Ziva was relieved as she moved to the corner & looked at the road, she was glad to be going to help! "On the way" she looked at the others "I'll get them here safely"

Ted nodded "we've got you covered" all of them had gone on even higher alert since hearing the news, but he wouldn't feel comfortable until he saw Nix for himself.

Tony shifted Jake in his hold "I got ya Jake" he soothed but he was really worried about Nix, he wasn't looking good! He knew it would bring worry, but he thought it best to do anyway, he opened his comms "team 1 to central, about to move, ensure small package medication is ready and have pain relief, splint & elastic bandages at the ready"

"Central to team 1, acknowledged, items will be ready" Vance confirmed, but it sent his worry higher, for Tony to radio this request, it wasn't a good sign!

Gibbs eyes widened in concern, that didn't sound good "come on Pride, we go this way, we'll meet them halfway"

Pride nodded, he'd seen his friend furious, intense & even laser focused on his fury, but rarely had seen him looking so.. well, it didn't bode well for the people that took his son.

Myles saw Ziva dash across & spoke as soon as she stopped "rear cover, that alley is long & winding" he ordered, he was really concerned that someone would find them & soon!

Ziva moved to their rear, she saw instantly what Myles had seen, it was an alley that could indeed cause them issues. She had seen that Tony was holding Jake in his arms, the boy was wrapped around him, and Tony was supporting him entirely. She understood why Tony had radioed though, Nix wasn't looking good, to her he was being almost completely held up by the boys, she was worried.

"We're ready" Ted confirmed

"All clear sir" Byrnes added

Myles took a breath "you ready?" he asked Nix quietly.

Nix nodded "yea"

"Deep breaths, this will hurt" Myles added, it was killing him how much the boy was hurting.

"I know" Nix replied.

Tony saw Myles motion that he goes first, he waited though for the final check.

"Clear" Byrnes confirmed

"Clear" Henry confirmed, he couldn't believe the McLowry's/Paddington's were right! He wasn't sure what the way forward would be.

Ted watched as first Tony came running for them before his son headed across with Myles, both carrying Nix, my gosh, they were literarily carrying him! He just watched as they made it to the safety of their alley, both his son & Myles leaned against the wall with Phoenix, they let his leg down gently & it got a moan out of Nix. He didn't look good, he took a few steps to close the gap and came to a stop right in front of the boy.

Nix was sore, he had no doubt his ribs were injured & boy did they hurt! His leg wasn't all that good either & when they lowered his legs down, yea that hurt "oww!" he moaned as he closed his eyes.

"Phoenix" Ted said quietly as he cupped the boys chin "come on bud, look at me" he coaxed, trying to get his eyes open.

"Ted" Nix breathed, while he wasn't his dad, it was still comforting to see him "It hurts" he admitted.

"I know bud but I'm right here" Ted soothed "I wish I had something to give you, but you just need to hang in there a little while longer until we get out of here, your dad's making his way to us, we're going to meet him on the way out to your mum & sister, ok?"

"Sounds great" Nix breathed.

"Ted, why don't you take my place" Myles suggested, his reasoning was 2 fold, one he knew Nix would be fine with Ted carrying him & it would allow him to take point, thus ensuring he could be the one do the fighting should it be required.

"Absolutely" Ted agreed, he shifted his rifle to ensure he could easily manage Nix, he carefully switched places with Myles "I got ya bud, just take some deep breaths, we'll be moving soon" he said quietly to Nix.

Keegan had watched as the trio of men returned with the 2 boys, he was ever so glad they'd found them, he was utter confused as to what they were doing out here & would bet that the men that were roaming around were looking for them. All he could see of the young boy, Jake, was his back, and the amount of sweat that had drenched through was well, it covered almost his entire back! He clearly wasn't well and that concerned him. He got a better look at the older boy, he was a mess, but what struck him was his stature & his complexion, he was definitely a McLowry, and reminded him of Alex, and he couldn't believe how much!

Myles got them all ready to move, he would lead with Fornell, then would come Keegan, followed by Ted & Harry with Nix, followed by Charles & Tony with Jake, Ziva & Daniel would cover their rear "ok, we're moving" he took a breath before speaking into the comms "team 1 is moving back to central station"

"All's clear at present" Evans commented from their viewpoint.

Fornell helped Myles start them back towards the entry, he was surprised but so relieved that they'd found the boys, he wanted to know how they'd apparently gotten out of where ever they were but that would wait. He also knew there was underlying & unspoken worry about where Alexander was, if the boys had gotten out where was he? Was he ok?

Ziva was last person in the team, she was making sure that no one was following them, everyone had gone around one corner when she saw it "move!" she urged "3 men heading this way! Move!"

Ziva barely made it around the corner before a shot was fired in her direction, she looked at everyone but especially Myles "they're coming"

Myles nodded, it was time for some fun! "Fornell, take point, meet up with Gibbs, Ziva keep them moving" he turned to the person he'd least think he wouldn't have turned to at all "you good to hold them off?" he asked Daniel.

Daniel nodded "I'll do what I have to" and he would! This was looking more & more like his cousins were guilty of what was claimed & he wasn't sure where to go with that!

"Keep going, get them out of here" Myles motioned, he saw Nix look at him though "I'll see you soon squirt, got a jersey to collect after all"

Nix nodded but "be careful, these guys are insane!"

"And I'm feeling feral at the moment" Myles replied with what he knew was his evil grin.

Ziva knew that look, it didn't bode well for the men chasing them, at all! She knew they had to keep moving though "keep going" she urged before she spoke into her comms "this is team 1, we're being pursued by 3 armed suspects, team lead and DF remaining to hold them off, heading to central station"

Thomas's eyes widened, first they'd heard more gunshots, then they'd heard Ziva's communication, things were going from bad to worse! He still hadn't heard from his father, Henry had seen him go into the entry of the building but since then nothing, it was worrying him.

Fornell was keeping them moving as quickly but as quietly as possible, they'd been discovered now so they had to get moving & quickly! They'd manoeuvred through at least 3 alleyways before he heard more shooting, he swallowed, it wasn't sounding good!

Gibbs tensed even further, the gun shots & Ziva's communication wasn't good news, he could hear the gun shots kept coming & they were coming from the direction in which they were headed, he had to get to his son & fast! He kept moving & as he did he heard that a few of the perimeter teams were moving into the complex. That was a good thing, the more of their people converging would be better for them!

Ted was nervous, ever since they'd left Myles the gunshots kept coming, he'd heard shouting too but couldn't work out what was being said. He was also nervous as he couldn't hold any weapons, he had his hands full with Nix & though he could have passed him to Keegan & Charles to carry him, so that he & his son could carry him their weapons & help guard he felt it wouldn't be right. He just kept his head on a swivel as he carried Nix as fast as he could.

Pride was taking point for the pair currently, they kept switching places as they moved, he came to another corner & thought he heard something & motioned his suspicions to Gibbs, he saw the man bring his rifle (though not his sniper rifle, that was on his back) to the ready.

Gibbs had heard the same thing that Pride had & took an even tighter hold of his rifle, they'd move around the corner together, he saw Pride was ready, he motioned..3….2…..1….

Gibbs moved instantly & his eyes widened.

Fornell had heard a noise, he had his rifle gripped his hands as he prepared to move around the next corner 3…2…..1… and his eyes widened "Gibbs!"

Gibbs had seen Fornell instantly, but then he saw "Phoenix!"

"Dad!" Nix exclaimed

Gibbs went to him instantly, he pulled him to his chest "I'm here, dad's here, I'm here, love you son" he whispered into his son's ear.

Ted breathed a sigh of relief as soon as he saw Gibbs, he knew the pair would embrace and was doing his best to support Nix as they hugged but not get in the way, he could see his son was trying to do the same thing.

Nix was so grateful to be in his dad's hold, he knew his dad would find him! Being in his dad's hold was the safest place in the world for him "Dad" he breathed into his chest.

"I'm here bud" Gibbs soothed, but his eyes scanned to Tony who was standing a mere foot away, he had a young boy nestled right into him, he gave him a questioning look with a raised eyebrow.

Tony merely nodded, he knew Gibbs was asking if he was ok & he was, for now!

Gibbs was glad Tony was ok, he drew back just a fraction from his son, he still though kept both hands on his son as he surveyed him & he swallowed, he wasn't looking good, he could see the pain he was in "let's get you out of here, back to mum & Kells, ok? It'll be ok now, I promise you" he could see that both Ted & Harry were holding him up, they needed to get him out of here & get Ducky looking at him fast.

Nix just nodded, if there was one person he believed it was his dad, if he said it would be ok, it would be! There was just one thing "Myles, he hasn't come back to meet with us"

"I will go & get him Phoenix" Ziva remarked, now that Gibbs & Pride were there she felt comfortable in leaving them to go back after him.

"I will come with you" Charles remarked "and I can take care of myself" he added knowing what the lady was going to say "regardless of histories, I want to make sure Daniel is ok"

Gibbs looked at Ziva "be careful, Wu is making his way towards us, so don't shoot the wrong people, just get to Myles & Daniel & get back to us to regroup" he ordered

"Yes Gibbs" Ziva nodded, she shared a look with Tony no words were exchanged but they both knew they were trying to convey, be careful & I love you.

Gibbs watched as Ziva & Charles headed backwards, but he heard more gunshots, they had to keep moving & get not only his son, but Jake out of here. "We need to move" he looked to Ted.

"We've got him Jethro" Ted assured his friend, he knew Gibbs would want to be able to protect his son, that though meant he couldn't carry him.

"We do" Harry agreed.

"I'll take rear guard" Fornell offered

Gibbs nodded "I'm taking point, Pride, right behind me" he would take point, it was the best way he had to make sure his son would get back to safety, he looked back to his son as he cupped his chin "a few more minutes son, can you hold on for me?" he could see the pain in his son's eyes.

Nix nodded "yea, I can"

Gibbs smiled "that's my boy" he whispered as he planted a kiss to his son's forehead.

Tony bounced Jake his hold, he hadn't put him down once, he just kept a hold of him & did his best to comfort him "easy Jake, a few more minutes & we'll be back with your mum, it's ok"

Keegan had watched the scene unfold, the man had come around the corner with such ferocity it could have set walls on fire, it was frightening. The man's expression changed in an instant though when he laid eyes on his son, he'd gone completely gentle & caring, it was like a switch got flicked. Looking at him now though, another switch was flicked & he was back to his laser focused ferocity, it was unnerving just how fast he could switch on & off. It was then that he realised that it didn't matter what anyone said, the ones responsible would pay for what they'd done and pay an even greater price than he or his cousins had planned, they'd.. they'd suffer a fate far worse! This man would make them pay, and pay big!

A/N: So, they have Nix & Jake! Thank heavens! But how'd they get out of the basement room? and where's Alex? How will Nix go getting better? And what about Jake? Will Myles be ok? Can Gibbs get his son safely out of the complex & back to their family?

Still lots of questions to be answered, and definitely more action to come!
