Working Together

Disclaimer: I don't own Lord of the Rings, comprende?

Author's Note: This chapter is going to be short and probably won't make much sense until you read the next chapter. Yes, it does have to do with Lord of the Rings, but you'll have to be patient if you're reading this for that.

If anyone wants to know, Pickleball is a real game. On with the show!

Prologue

In Diana Hunt's experience, Pickleball was the most evil game ever invented.

Why? Well, quite simply, she wasn't good at it.

Oh yeah, big deal. Lots of people say the same thing and a lot of them have legitimate reasons. Her only reason for being so bad at it was a total lack of focus and determination.

Yes, it was a harsh conclusion, especially considering that she had only been playing for about a week, for a P.E. class.

Only a week into the semester and Diana was starting to wish that she had taken World History. But no, as soon as she had found out that it wasn't mandatory, she switched out and had looked forward to it, especially when she had found out that the foreign exchange student from Brazil, Caio Barros Milano, was also in the class.

Funny thing, if she would have known the sole reason for her actually looking forward to the class would actually be the person to drive her to the brink of insanity, she was have stuck with history class.

Moral of the story, fate does have a cruel sense of irony...or humor. Whatever you want to call it, it sucked, right along with Pickleball.

There you go, short but I promise the next chapter will be longer. Think of this as a...pre summary and don't come after me with pitchforks. Because it's either good or really sucks, I don't care. I have an attachment to all my major body parts and organs.

Anyways, read and review, flames will be thrown at Denethor and I'll be working on the next chapter.

'ducks tomato that was thrown' Uh oh.

Erm, did I go overboard on the italics?
