Chapter 4
Edd looked at the school he would be entering for the next two years. Peach Creek High was a big school. By the amount of people he saw walking in, it had to have over a thousand students. Either way, he was going to deal with this place for a while before he could make plans to get out here. With a sigh, the teen made his way into the school. He entered the large lobby to see several stalls. He carefully looked at the stalls and found the one he was looking for. He made his way over to the stall that said 'transfers'.
Edd waited on the short line until it was his turn. The man, who he assumed was a teacher, looked at him with a smile.
"Hello and welcome to Peach Creek High. What is your name?" the man asked.
"Edward Levy. I'm transferring from a school in Tucson." Edd explained. The man looked through the names and did find him.
"Ah, Mr. Levy." The man said and pulled out his schedule. He looked incredibly surprised at what Edd was taking. "I'm impressed. Many of these classes are taken by our seniors."
"I'm a pretty smart kid." Edd said with a smile and took the schedule. He thanked the teacher before looking at it. He saw that his home room was on the third floor, Rm. 324. He made his way to a map of the school and saw that he would have to make his way toward the other half of the school. Edd began to walk to his destination. It would take him a while before he reached the room that his home room was supposed to be. When he entered, he caught sight of a familiar face.
"Hey Edd!" the teen called out to him. Edd smiled as Leon made his way over to him. The two 'five'd' each other and Leon led him back to where he was sitting. The two took seats next to the window and waited for the teacher to enter.
"So, how does this school do things?" Edd asked.
"Like a normal high school is runed. After homeroom, is first period and so on. Most of the classes are great if you get the right teacher. So come on, let me get a look at it." Leon asked. Edd handed him his schedule and he pulled out his. He put the two side by side.
"Algebra 2, Computer Science 2, Calculus, Biology, Math Application, Lunch, Gym and Music. How in the hell are you taking senior classes?"
"I was way ahead than everyone back in Arizona. My parents are academics, and I am supposed to follow in their footsteps. Truth is, I don't mind the academics. It will help me in my goal when I go to college." Edd explained.
"Well, if you pass these classes with high marks, you'll get into any college you want." Leon joked. That's when their home room teacher entered the class. The woman welcomed them to another school year and told them what they would expect in her home room. After a three-minute lecture and roll call, the bell rang for first period. The two stood and walked out of home room. Leon looked toward Edd.
"So, I guess we got Music together. I'll see you then. Don't get lost." Edd just smirked and the two parted ways.

Nazz entered fourth period with two of her friends. They quickly found seats near the window and toward the back so that they could talk before class began. The three girls were chatting up what they did during the summer when one of those friends noticed someone entering the class. She would watch that person who entered. She like his look, all grunge out. She kept watching until he took a seat next to the back door. Nazz and her other friend were amused at their friend's actions.
"You do know that you are shamelessly leering at that guy, right Crystal?" the friend asked.
"Leering is a nasty word, Tania. I am merely appreciating the scenery." Crystal said with a smirk. She turned to Nazz who was looking at the teen with narrowed eyes. "Earth to Nazz, what's up?"
"Huh? Oh, sorry about that. It's just…" Nazz turned back to the guys before looking at her friends. "I think I know him."
"Really? How do you know him? I've never seen him before." Tania. Nazz looked harder but she just couldn't remember.
"Maybe I'm mistaken. I think that it's the skull cap on his head. It reminds of one of the Ed's." she explained.
"Wait, there's a third Ed?" asked Tania.
"Yeah, but he hasn't been around for four years. Trust me, if he returned, we would have known." Nazz explained. That's when the teacher entered the room, and their class began.

Edd made it to his locker and released a sigh of relief. He just left fourth period and realized that he was in a class with Nazz. Lucky for him, she did not recognize him. He hoped that he didn't run into any of the others, especially Eddy and Kevin. He didn't need that kind of stress.
Edd closed the door to his locker and saw a very lovely vision. He couldn't help and stare at the pretty green eyes. It would be a few minutes when a cough broke him out of his trance. Edd cursed mentally for doing that to the girl in front of him.
"Umm, sorry about that. I didn't mean to stare." Edd said.
"Well, at least my eyes were your focus. The last guy who had this locker looked everywhere but." The girl said.
"My uncle taught me better." Edd said.
"We'll see about that. Try not to stare as I walk away. I don't have eyes in the back." She joked before walking off. Edd couldn't help but smirk at her joke but he met her challenge and did not turn around. Her just made his way to fifth period. The girl in question looked back and was a little impressed that he didn't look at her walking away. Maybe she would like her new neighbor.

The cafeteria in Peach Creek High was like all you can eat joint. Everyone had their choices of food and drink. Once they got what they wanted they walked up to the cashier and paid. The food was not that bad, and everyone was in their clicks. The jocks, the cheerleaders, the geeks and so on all had their own area when they could enjoy their lunch. They could also converse.
Edd sat in the far corner of the cafeteria with the lunch that he just brought. He got himself a bowl of chili with some corn chips and a bottle of lemonade. He became a big fan of the food when he was living with his uncle. As he was about to dig in, he noticed someone sit across from him. When he looked up, he saw that it was Kendall.
"S'up DD." Kendall greeted. Edd chuckled at him before giving him 'five'. Since he and Kendall got to know each other, the senior always had a new nickname for him.
"How's it going Kendall? Don't the jocks usually hang with each other?" Edd asked.
"None of my guys have lunch this period. So, man, how's your first day going? Run into anybody that you know?" Kendall said as he took a bite of his burger.
"A few but I'm staying under the radar. I didn't leave on the best of terms and those guys weren't truly my friends. Hopefully, I will go a month before anyone recognizes me." Edd said.
"If that's your plan, I won't mess with it." Kendall said. That's when the whole cafeteria turned to shouting and pans crashing. Everyone was wondering what the hell was going on when some one burst out from the back. He was a tall kid, wearing baggy pants, a red stripped jersey that was covered with an olive-colored jacket. He was currently carrying a whole ham and running for his life. He would have made it to the exit if he didn't get stopped by several guards. He tried to get free, but the guards had a firm grip on him.
The tall boy then tried to eat the ham only for it to be taken for him by one of the workers. The woman glared at teen who was pouting like a baby.
"It's only the first day, damn it! Can you not behave yourself Ed!?" the woman shouted.
"B-But I have no money." Ed whined.
"I don't care! You can tell your excuse to Vice Principal Dublin!" The fear on Ed's face was clear for everyone to see.
"NNNoooo! Not Ms. Dublin!" Ed shouted and tried harder to escape. The guards held on to the strong teen and dragged him out, kicking and screaming. Some people laughed while other shook their heads in disgust. Kendall just turned back to Edd.
"I can't believe that you use to be friends with that guy." Kendall said.
"I can't believe that he hasn't changed. I know what I saw in the mall, but I still figured that he would have grown up a little. I guess Eddy can still swindle him. Still, who is Vice Principal Dublin? Ed looked terrified to meet with her." Edd stated.
"She's the Principal's enforcer. She doesn't take shit from any one and strict as hell. You never want to be called into her office for anything. Ed and Eddy have been in her office so many times that there is a poll going around about how many times they deal with her before they graduate or drop out." Edd looked at Kendall with surprise before returning to his food.

An adult woman walked down the halls with purpose. Her brown hair was tied in a bun and her blue eyes glared at anyone that gave her a look. She wore a black business suit with a skirt and high heels. She made her way to her office and opened the door. She looked at the two students that were sitting in front of her desk and her eyes narrowed. One of them cowered in fear while the other looked defiant as always. She walked around them to her chair. She sat down and faced the two in front of her.
"So, what is your excuse this time?" she demanded. Ed immediately started blubbering.
"I'm s-sorry. I w-was hungry." He cried.
"That doesn't excuse your behavior Ed. You can't just go into the kitchen and take food. I am tired of the staff complaining about that." Ms. Dublin stated harshly. She then looked at the shorter of the two. He was dressed in a pant of blue, baggy jeans, a pair of sneakers, a purple shirt with a high collar and tacky design. "I guess you're just going to act like you didn't do anything wrong Eddy?"
"What do you want me to say? You're just going to lecture me again. Let's just get this over with so I can get through the rest of 'school'" Eddy mocked. This made Ms. Dublin narrow her eyes at him.
"I guess you're more like your brother than you believed." She spoke. Eddy narrowed his eyes at her after she said that. "You don't like when I say that to you but it's the truth. Ronald had real charisma and he could have done something with his life. However, he chose to waste that potential and dropped out. You don't even have half of his potential and you're on your way to follow him out the door."
"Are we done here?" Eddy growled. Ms. Dublin just sighed at him and Ed.
"Ed, you will be staying after school and you will write a two-page apology to the cafeteria staff. As for you, these guards will escort you off school ground for the day. Your parents will be informed of your behavior. You're dismissed." She spoke. Eddy quickly got up and left. The guards just followed behind as they led him out of the school. Eddy could hear the guard chuckling at him, and he needed to get out of here now. They continued to follow him and watched him as he walked away.
Eddy was blocks away before he ducked into an alley. With a shout, he kicked a trash can hard. He shouted out loud, trying to unleash his rage. He was so angry at what that woman just said to him. He was so sick and tired of everyone saying that he was going to turn out like his brother. Ronald was nothing more than a bully and a loser who lived in trailer near a carnival. He was going to be much better than what Ronald was. That he swore.
After a few minutes of rage, Eddy took a seat and took a few calmly breaths. He pulled out a pack of cigarettes. He put one in his mouth and lit it with his lighter. He took a few puffs and blew out smoke. He just needed to calm down right now. As he tried, he thought about proving that woman wrong. He made not have been as successful as his brother, but he'll be damned if he ended up like him. He will become a big shot in life, and he rub it in everyone's faces, that he swore.
Eddy stood and grabbed his bag. He had a long walk home and would give his pops time to cool down.
