For example, Snow-white place is at Casterly Rock in the Kingdom of the Rock.
-Corona (Tangled) will replace Highgarden of the kingdom of the reach.
-Arabian city of Agrabah (Aladin) will replace Dorne and its capital city.
-The Kingdom of China of the Mulan movie will be at The East Essos while keeping the continent free city name for the story plot.
-The Scottish kingdom of DunBroch of the movie Brave will replace the Riverrun (Tully)
-The kingdom of Sleeping Beauty will be at the Vale of Arryn while keeping its name (game of throne) for the sake of the story.

Last time in the legend of the hero dragon king.
Completed his first task, Hiccup walked over to the black dragon to pick up the sack of flour to drop next to the unconscious girl. He returned to Toothless to pick up the blanket he was using when he was camping. To gently cover Snow White to keep her warm.
Hiccup gently smiles at the girl as he adjusts the blanket on her. He then turns his attention to the door and bangs several times with his fist. Before he runs toward his best friend. So they fly away from the place, leaving Snow White. Knowing that she is now indeed safe.
Flying away, Hiccup glance behind and see the lights in the castle lighting up with the door that Snow White was deposed opening up. Revealing one of the servants rushing toward the girl while calling for help.
"I hope that she is going to be alright," said Hiccup as he and Toothless continue to fly back home.
Chapter 7: In the meantime around the world.
Location Arendelle.
In the castle of Arendelle at the beginning of the evening, we see Elsa inside her bedroom, sitting at her desk doing some homework given by her father who has taken the role of his daughter's teacher.
It has been three weeks since her encounter with Hiccup and the dragons. Since then, Elsa couldn't forget this amazing night she has with her new friends. Certainly, Hiccup, who is the first person in a long time in her life that treats her like a person. Even if she feels bad about hiding who she was indeed the princess, the fact that Hiccup wasn't scared of her was enough for her to be happy.
More when Hiccup told her that her magic is not a curse but a blessing even he doesn't know that it was her they talk about.
When they part away, the next day, Elsa asked her father for books on Viking culture and their legends. Wanting to know more to understand Hiccup. So that one day, when they meet again she would impress him with her new knowledge.
The princess also makes the promise that she will learn to fully control her power. So she can reconnect with her little sister. And that she can finally be not a danger for Anna, the family, and the one around her. Even if it is a long way and difficult, Elsa is determined to do it. As she just finished her homework, suddenly she hears something tapping at the window glass of her bedroom.
Hearing this, Elsa get up from her chair and went to the window. She sees to her surprise Sneaky sitting outside behind the window at its border.
"Sneaky? Is that you?" asked Elsa as she recognizes the little aqua-blue dragon.
Being noticed by the princess, the little aqua blue reptile responded happily with a cry of joy. As he scratches the window of the bedroom with one of his front feet. Seeing the blue Terrible terror, Elsa moves closer to the window and opens it letting Sneaky fly inside.
Now in the bedroom, Sneaky flies in a circle in the room a couple of times before landing on Elsa's bed. Seeing this, Elsa smiled as she went to greet the little dragon.
"Hello Sneaky, how are you?" said the princess while petting Sneaky head who purr in delight.
"That's good but how did you manage to find me?" asked Elsa.
To answer her, Sneaky lift his head and sniff the air.
"That is amazing Sneaky. Are you here on your own or Hiccup is here with you?" Elsa asks another question hoping that Hiccup is here to see her again.
In his response, Sneaky shook his head to say no causing Elsa to be disappointed but she cease to be when the little dragon pointed out something behind his back. Showing a close envelope tied to him.
"I see. So you came from you were to Arendelle all on your own. To deliver for me a message from Hiccup. You are quite a brave little one." Elsa praised Sneaky who puffs his chest happy by the girl's words.
Done with the praising, Elsa gently untied the envelope of Sneaky back and went to her desk to fill up an empty cup with water from a pitcher and take a plate with one or two biscuits that came from a jar. Done with her action, she went back with a tray that has the cup of water and the biscuits toward her bed where Sneaky is sitting.
"It must be a long and tiring journey for you. Here have some water and some biscuits. I hope you can eat them." said Elsa as she poses the tray on the bed next to the little dragon. Sneaky went to it and start to drink the fresh water before he went and eat the biscuits.
As Sneaky feasts on the treat, Elsa opens the envelope and smiles as she began to read the letter that was inside.
To Elsa my friend of Arendelle.
Hi Elsa, how are you? I hope you and your family are doing alright. And that you doing alright at the castle. If you are asking yes Toothless, the others, and I am all doing fine.
Elsa still smiles as she continues to read Hiccup's words that are asking if she was alright.
As you recommend we went to the Kingdom of The Rock. It took us a couple of weeks to arrive near its capital at Casterly Rock and to my surprise, we managed to meet dwarves who we became friends with on the first day. Is that crazy?
They were so nice they were even great help by letting us live with them at their place. A nice cottage isolated in the woods away from the city. Perfect to hide Toothless and the other dragons from people.
Elsa feels happy for our hero that managed to find somewhere safe. And reassure that they made new friends who they have helped Hiccup, Toothless, and their traveling companion.
Let me do the presentation of our new friends.
First, there is Doc, he is like the leader and rational one of their group. He is always kind toward us. Acting as a father certainly when he has to deal with the childish behavior of certain of the dwarves and dragons. He is also a curious mind as he spent time asking me about Dragon. He even helps me do some training. Like teaching Iggy to get an object just by showing it pictures. He also helps me when I asked him about the wildlife and plants in the region that I am not familiar with.
Then there is Dopey, he is the youngest of them but unlike others, he can't talk. Instead, he uses some sort of a mime, sign language. He often acts like a kid and goofs around. He is super friendly and always plays with Toothless and the other dragons. He even becomes best friend with Shattersmater. These two became inseparable. But even with all his childish attitude, Dopey can seriously act as Doc's right-hand man. Ready and happy to help.
Learning about Dopey and his antic. Elsa emits a small giggle.
Speaking of happy, there is Happy and true to his name. He is a very bubbly and bright person. Alongside Dopey, he is the most friendly, and cheerful of them. His gleeful attitude prompts him to giggle quite often, and the guy is also quite the singer, yodeler, and musician. We even play music together in the evening after dinner.
Reading this, Elsa remembers Anna and her singing together when they were just kids.
Now let me tell you about Bashful. By the name, I just said he is very shy and coy. Always has his face turn red for anything or anyone new to him. To which it is pretty funny because he tries to hide it behind his beard. But he is one of the first to accept me and Toothless. And I am thankful for that. Anyway, besides being shy he is also one to love romantic stuff. Always reading romantic books. And when we play music, he always urges that we do romantic ones. To which, we do most of the time to our pleasure.
"I wonder if you would sing a song for me one day?" said Elsa as her cheek start to turn red. Imaging, him and her at the campfire they were that night when they first meet. With him playing a romantic song.
The fifth is Sleepy. He is the sleeping head of the group. Always weary and droopy-eyes with a huge urge to fall asleep. Certainly using Shattermaster or Toothless back like a bed. Though he got laziness, Sleepy is a hard worker. But also a bit of a bumbler, as he often finds himself falling into accidental physical harm due to his lack of quick motion. Like falling on the floor or walking up, to a tree in the woods when he is tired.
However, despite spending most of his time nearly falling asleep, I have to say Sleepy is the most observant and logical of the seven dwarfs, whether he knows it or not. And to my surprise, he is the one in charge of the security structure in the mine. To which he is good at it.
Now let me tell you about Sneezy. Like his name is saying about him this guy sneezes a lot because of his severe hay fever. And I tell you, Sneezy sneezes are so strong they are like gale-force capacity and can blow away anything and anyone in his path. He even manages to blow away the terrible terrors. So each time Sneezy was about to sneeze one of us stop him by holding his nose. He does it so often he can predict his next sneeze. Warning us by sometimes saying "You can't tell, when you gotta, you gotta."
As she continues to read the letter, Elsa's smile disappears, and a frown starts to form on her face.
Finally, there is Grumpy. He was the one the hardest to trust and to accept me and Toothless. Which is understandable. His attitude doesn't help either. He is always negative, being overly rude, overbearing, arrogant, and condescending. He often gets annoyed by many things and everyone. Like, for example, he gets annoyed by Sneezy's sneezing explosion, Sleepy falling asleep at work. He even gets mad at Dopey and Shattermaster who pranks on him. And he often gets himself into a fight with Pain who always bites his left foot. But don't worry it's harmless which is pretty funny to see.
She giggles a little as she imagines in her head this part mentioned in Hiccup's letter.
Aside from his default, I have to say he is perhaps the most competent of the dwarfs in his work. Perhaps, this is why he seems to want Doc's position as the leader of the group. As he often doubted Doc's capabilities. But even though he is stubborn, Grumpy has a compassionate heart like anyone in the group, ready to help, though he rarely admits it. Even now if we are not friends yet. We do help each other. When we need.
You are wondering how we first met. It was on the day Toothless, the other dragons, and I arrived near the town of Casterly Rock. We have found the mine the dwarves were exploiting. And when we saw the dwarves in front of the mine entrance, They were being attacked by a pack of angry wolves.
Elsa gasp in shock starting to get worried for their safety, certainly for Hiccup.
But don't worry we managed to beat them. Even killing a couple of them.
So after helping to fight off the beasts, no one was hurt. We talk for a few hours, they tell us who they are and that the mine belongs to them. And me telling my story and why we were there. At first, they wanted to thank me by rewarding me with money or jewelry. But I refuse, telling them it was the right thing to do. But Doc proposed and managed to convince us to live with them in their home instead.
Later, we discovered that the dwarves' pickaxes were damaged and could not be used to mine until they were properly repaired by a blacksmith.
The problem is that they haven't got the money nor the diamonds to pay. Because they used the last of them to pay for food and just run out of it. They did plan to go to the mine to collect some diamonds. But they couldn't as they got attacked before they could do it. So wanting to thank them in return, I proposed the idea that we skinned the wolves that we just killed and sell them to a merchant. So we can use the money to pay a blacksmith to do the reparation of the pickaxes. To which, they all agree. So a couple of days later, Doc, Grumpy, and I went to Casterly Rock to sell our wolves skins.
Elsa nodded her head as she approves of Hiccup's idea.
As we were about to arrive at Casterly Rock. The dwarves and I separate ourselves because certain people in the city won't do any business with me. If they see me with my friend because they don't like dwarves or anything persons who are not human. Which I think is pretty stupid.
"I agree. I too, still don't understand why people can be mean to others. Just because there are differences." agreed Elsa.
Anyway, when I was inside, no offense but I have to say this place is more beautiful than Arrendelle, at first. But as I advanced I noticed that a lot of buildings are not well maintained. I also noticed that a lot of shops were closed with signs saying that they are out of business or close temporarily because they run out of raw materials.
Reading this, Elsa should take offense that her home was compared to another city. But the girl realizes that she hasn't been to the city of Arendelle and that she also hasn't left her bedroom in years. She then felt sorry for the poor state of Casterly Rock.
I continued to walk through the city. Until I arrived at my destination but let me tell you when I found myself in front of the shop. It was the ugliest building I have ever seen in my life. Seriously it was so ugly I wanted to get Toothless to burn it to the ground.
"This place must be that ugly. If he wanted to burn it," said Elsa while raising one of her eyebrows.
Unfortunately, I have to go inside. Since the dwarves are the ones who told me the owner of the shop is a rich Merchant named Mister Stromboli. That he would have the money to pay for the wolf's skins for a good price.
When I was inside, I meet Mister Stromboli. Sorry for my language but he is one of the biggest assholes. I ever met. And I know Vikings who are. First, he is arrogant as the ugliness of his shop. And when I showed him the wolf's skins, he proposes a ridicule price. It was so low it was not enough to buy bread. So after arguing for a couple of minutes, I had enough and left the shop with the wolves' skins. Hoping that I will find someone else to buy the animal skins that I have.
That is not the case as each time I went to other merchants. They either refused to speak to me or said that they can't afford to pay the wolf's skin. Seeing that ain't going anywhere. I have decided to stop what I was doing and went to meet up with the dwarves to see what they are doing with the blacksmiths. But when I was about to meet back with them. Instead, I found in Casterly Rock Trader Johann, a close friend of mine. Who also thought that I was dead. But He was glad that it was wrong. And he was so happy to see me alive, He cried in tears of joy.
Elsa smiles, not blaming Trader Johann as she feels that she would also cry in joy if she finds out Hiccup was not dead.
Later, while the four of us were having our meal at the tavern which was the meeting point. I explained to trader Johann why I had left Berk and faked my death. Without telling him the truth about Toothless. Then after telling him about our situation and why we were at Casterly Rock. Telling him what happened to me this morning in town, Trader Johann explained to me the reason why I couldn't manage to make a deal with the other merchants in town.
It is because Stromboli, the first trader that I tried to trade with, has a strong grip on Casterly Rock. Johann would even say to me that the fat guy is the main reason why life is hard in the city. As every product that came outside of the region are too expensive for the people to buy.
And that the other traders couldn't afford to trade with me at the price I asked for the wolves' fur because they get extorted by Stromboli men. Or they are too scared to speak to me because they saw that I was followed by Stromboli goons.
Johann also told me the reason why products that came from outside of the region are expensive. It is because most of the merchant ships to come to trade at Casterly Rock get attacked by pirates who he believed they are working with Stromboli as the ships that do not get attacked belong to Stromboli. If only we knew more about these pirates. So we can deal with them. Like their name or hideout.
"Perhaps it will help Hiccup. If I ask father about the pirates about that sail at the cost of the kingdom of the Rock. Maybe I should also ask about Stromboli." frowned Elsa as she speaks to herself.
Then to my surprise, trader Johann proposed to have a look at the wolf pelts that I had with me. So after a moment of negotiating, I managed to sell them to him less on the price that I wanted but more than Stromboli proposed for. And since Trader Johann is a friend, I was ok with it.
The princess smile as she is happy for Hiccup for managing to sell the furs.
Continuing our conversation, I asked my friend why he was here in town. In response, Johann told me and my friend that he was here to visit a friend of his. A blacksmith named Xavier that he own a forge in town. To which I find out that Xavier was one of the blacksmiths that Doc and Grumpy visited and tried to negotiate but failed. Even if the blacksmith was nice to them. He couldn't afford to give credit because he told them that he is in financial problem as the only iron ore supplier accessible belongs to Stromboli and that his price is too high for Xavier to buy.
"Even Trader Johann's friend got his problem with money." thought Elsa as she continues to feel sorry for the blacksmith and people of Casterly Rock. But she becomes curious when she read what is next in the letter.
When I heard this, an idea came to my mind. One idea who will help everyone greatly.
"I wonder what was this idea of his?" said Elsa as she read more to find out about Hiccup's idea.
First, I asked Doc if there is an iron deposit in the area they live in that can be exploited. To which he told me that there is a small one he and the other dwarves have found and that can indeed be exploited. But didn't touch because they only focus on diamonds. Next, I asked my friend trader Johann if he can give the money for wolves' skins in advance. So we can later buy provision. To which he said yes and pass the money. Then I asked him to take us to his friend the blacksmith Xavier.
"So far, so good." commented Elsa.
Later when we all went to the Xavier Forge to meet its owner. We meet Xavier, a very friendly and fun man to talk to. After a few minutes of discussion, he and I managed to strike a deal that will benefit us all. You see, the deal we made is to pay him to repair the dwarven pickaxes. I offered to work at the forge for him. Even the trader Johann convinced him to accept my proposal because he knows my experience working at the Gobber forge in Berk.
I also convinced him to repair all the pickaxes in advance. So the dwarves can work with. But in exchange, I convinced the dwarves to exploited iron deposits to give them to Xavier freely until the debt is paid. Which will help Xavier's business a lot.
"It was a very good deal. One that indeed helps everyone." Elsa nodded, impressed with Hiccup's idea and négociations skill.
Done with the deal, we went our separate way. With me and the dwarves went back to their home while Trader Johann decide to stay at the forge to speak with Xavier. I told Johann that I will meet him later on his boat. Coming back home and later after having dinner with the dwarves, Toothless and I went out again to re-find Trader Johann on his ship that was located at sea. Finally meeting up with him on his ship. When Trader Johann saw Toothless, he was about to panic or fainted. But I stop him before he could it and began to tell all the truth this time.
Elsa blushes in embarrassment as she remembers her first time meeting Toothless.
After telling him my story. I mean everything. I apologized for lying to him. But to my surprise, he forgave me, he said it was fine. He even accepted Toothless even though he is uncomfortable being next to a huge dragon. After that, we decide to keep in touch, just like you and me, with the use of Terrible terror. I should find him a name. Do you have an idea? Tell me by your letter.
Anyway, 2 weeks later after we paid what we own to Xavier. Xavier proposed to continue our deal with him paying for the mineral that the dwarves would collect. They did say yes on the condition that I continue to work at the forge as an employee. To which Xavier has said yes, saying that he would be an idiot to let me go. Since apparently, I am good at my work. As you can read, I am now working as an official employee at Casterly Rock. And since I got a job now, I am thinking of building a home or buying one near the city. But a place isolated to hide Toothless and other dragons. Perhaps you can visit one day. It would be great.
"Perhaps... Perhaps Hiccup." said Elsa as she begins to show sadness. Knowing that she may never leave her bedroom because of the situation she is in.
A few weeks later after agreeing to continue working at Xavier Forge. Working for Xavier is nice, he is a good boss and he paid me well. He even gave me a pay raise. I also found out that the forge has become well known as the prize for our service and products are the least expensive in town. Since we are not buying the mineral from Stromboli.
The forge is so popular, a customer who didn't have enough money to pay Xavier gave away his guitar to pay the rest he owed us. To which my boss decided to offer it to me as a thank you for a good job. I have done so far.
"That is very nice of mister Xavier to do this for Hiccup." thought Elsa who is having a good opinion of the blacksmith. But she also frowns because of something else.
As more customers came to the forge for our service. One day, a client has sent a servant to ordered us a small wooden chest with metallic gold color with jewels on it. When the order was done, Xavier asked me to deliver it to the castle, which I was willing to do. That was when I made a new friend on that day. Her name was Snow White and she is a young scullery maid. That she is about our age. She has lips red as the rose, hair black as ebony, and skin white as snow.
Elsa frowns a little as she read how Hiccup described the girl. Not liking that Hiccup has his attention on another girl than her. But she also frowns about something else.
"Where did hear this name before?" Elsa said to herself. As she continues to read the letter.
When I met her for the first time, she was holding a huge bag of flour that has to bring to the castle from the mill that is situated outside of the city on the other side of the forest that surrounds it. All by herself. Seeing that we were both going to the castle, I decided to help her by holding the huge bag of flour for her. At first, she didn't want me to do it. But she was too exhausted after bringing several bags to the castle this morning. To which I found out later. I wonder why she was given this order to it, certainly alone. Because I was to me I would be given this task to someone with muscle or at least several persons.
"You are a good person Hiccup. Helping this girl. But Hiccup is right this doesn't make any sense." said Elsa wondering why giving such a heavy task for a single young maiden like her.
Anyway, seeing in the situation she was in. Snow finally accepted my help. But on her condition that she would hold my bag that has the chest in it.
The first princess of Arendelle smiles proud of her friend's initiative to help someone.
As we went to the castle, we talk to know each other, like me telling her that my name was Harold and that I am someone who recently arrived in town. Working at Xavier Forge. And yes I decided to use a fake name now. Because in case someone from the Barbaric Archipelago would recognize my name since my father and our family is famous over the Barbaric Archipelago.
Elsa nodded her head that Hiccup made the right choice in hiding his real name.
As for her, Snow White didn't tell me much about her, only that she is an orphan who has worked at the castle as a cleaning lady in the scullery since she was six years old. When I learned that she had lost her parent at a young age. I felt sorry for her. But I don't know why, but I feel there's more of her, she seems to be saying.
"You are not the only one." murmured Elsa.
Arriving at the castle Snow and I went our separate way. Snow thanked me for the help before going back where she was supposed to deliver the huge bag of flour. But she was helped by one of the guards who it was nice to hold the bag for her. When she left, I was escorted with the chest toward the castle. When we were at the castle courtyard, I was told to wait for a servant to escort me to the client.
While waiting, the guard noticed that I had my guitar with me. So He asked me if I can play a little bit. Thinking that we got time to wait, I said yes and start to play a song. And yes I know how to play guitar, just a little bit. You may have heard of a big fight that happened in a tavern in Arendelle? And that you also heard that it was a boy who has sang a song that causes it. So if you are thinking that it was me. I am telling you it wasn't my intention to cause it.
"So it was you who cause it. Father told me that they are still looking at what happened." giggled Elsa.
"I wonder you would sing a song for me one day?" Elsa continues to speak as her cheek starts to turn red. Imaging, him and her at the campfire they were that night when they first meet. With him playing a song.
Anyway, as I played the song. I didn't notice that people started to arrive and stayed to listen to me playing. When I ended what I was doing, I was stunned as I found myself being surrounded by a small crowd mostly servants and a couple of guards.
They all applauded me, saying how good I was. But I keep saying that they are wrong, I am not that good. As we speak, the servant that the guard and I were waiting for arrived. And in his turn guided us to the client which to my surprise I found myself in the throne room with the Queen Grimhilde in it. I was even more surprised that it was her who ordered the chest.
"Queen Grimhilde ordered it. I was expecting a noble or high-ranking official living in the castle. But the Queen of the Rock that is unexpected." Elsa said looking surprised at what she had just read.
And I am telling you, this was the most intense meeting I ever had in my life. I don't how you deal working for the royal family in Arendelle because meeting a Queen for the first time was so damn scary for me. I was so nervous, I started to sweat on my forehead.
"If only you knew." smiled Elsa. Shaking her head a little. Because the fact Hiccup has passed an evening (non sexually) with a princess even if he didn't know.
I even freaked out inside when she asked to see the chest. Not wanting to upset the queen, I showed her the object she had ordered. To my relief, she was satisfied by the work that has been done on it.
Elsa sighed in relief for her friend. As she heard the Queen's reputation toward the commoners.
When she ordered the servant to get the money to pay for the chest. I was even more surprised, the queen also ordered the guard to leave the room. Leaving me alone with her majesty in the throne room. Being only the two of us, I asked her if there was something wrong? She responded to me with a no but she started to ask my name. Not wanting to her angry at me, I told her my false name. Then I asked her why she wanted to speak to me.
"I got a bad feeling about her." said Elsa, starting to feel worried for her friend.
The queen told me that she heard rumors about me working at Xavier forge. That the customers that have gone to us. All end up being happy with our work. That was one of the reasons why she has chosen us for the latch of the chest. When she explained the rest of her reason why. In her turn, Queen Grimhilde asked me if it was I who sang in the courtyard earlier. When I respond yes, I was stunned again when the queen gave me the order to sing a song for her. And she even refuses to tell me why. Unwilling to have her angry at me. I did as she asked and sang a small one for her.
"I didn't expect that." commented Elsa surprised once again by the Queen's request or demand.
After I sang her the song she 'requested', the queen just gave me one small compliment and permitted me to leave. With the payment for the chest, she ordered. Done collecting the money, I deposited it at the forge before coming back home for the rest of the day.
And right now I am about to have a night flight with Toothless to find by chance other wolves or other clues that would lead me to the ones who are responsible. So give me luck.
Still hoping that you and your family are alright. And I and the guys can't wait to have your letter.
Your friend Hiccup.
Done reading Hiccup's letter. At first, Elsa was worried for her friend because of his attention to solving the situation with the wolves. But then calm down as she remembers that Hiccup has Toothless with him. Then she starts to yawn as her body starts to feel tired.
"(Yawn), it's getting late We should go to bed." said Elsa. She was about to climb onto her bed but stop when she remember the presence of her little guest.
"Oh, I am sorry Sneaky. I forgot about you." excused Elsa looking down at the little dragon who is still sitting next to her on the bed.
In response, Sneaky just yawns as he is also getting tired.
"Mmmh, you must be exhausted by the long trip you have done. And it would be unfair for you to sleep outside. Certainly when it's cold out there." said Elsa while looking at the window outside. She then looks back, this time, uneasy at the little dragon.
With no other options that can be found, Elsa get up from her bed and went to one of the cupboards in her bedroom. She takes out a pillow from it.
"So you will sleep here tonight. This pillow will be enough to sleep on. And before you ask. No, you can't sleep on the bed because if someone comes in and find you, there will be a lot of trouble." explained Elsa as she place the pillow on the floor hidden next to the bed.
Seeing this, Sneaky accepts the princess contract and jumps out of bed to land on the pillow. Now on it, the little dragon gets comfortable before closing its eyes to fall asleep.
"Good night Sneaky. Have a nice sleep." Elsa as she smiles at the sleeping little dragon. Before she climbs back on her bed to sleep under its cover.
Later in the middle of the night while Elsa was asleep. Sneaky wake of his slumber as he feels cold. Feeling this, the little blue dragon decides to disobey the princess's order and move where he was to find somewhere warm. As he get up from the pillow he was sleeping on. Sneaky flies up and calmly lands on the bed without waking up its occupant. Now on the bed, Sneaky turns his attention to the sleeping girl and starts discreetly moving toward her. When he found himself next to Elsa, he sneaks under the cover of the bed and moves into her arms without waking her. Now feeling comfortable enough, he starts to fall asleep again.
When this happened, at first Elsa stiffened and frowned. But after a few seconds, the princess still asleep calms down and smiles, feeling a pleasant warm sensation between her arms. So much that she gently hugged him tighter. The two sleep like this, for the rest of the night.
Next day in the morning.
Now in the morning as the day begins. Feeling the rays of the rising sun on her face. Elsa begins to wake up. But unlike any morning she felt something against her. With the eyes open, she sees to her surprise Sneaky between her arms. Also awake, the terrible terror looks curiously at her and chirps several times to say good morning before going back to sleep, snuggling more against the girl. But he couldn't do so as a knock is heard at the door of the bedroom.
"Honey, are you awake? It's me, your mother. I'm here to bring you your breakfast." said the voice that belong to Elsa's mother.
"Yes I'm awake, just please leave me a minute to dress up." called Elsa in panic as she get up from bed. Separating herself from Sneaky.
"Quick, you need to hide!" Elsa told in low voice at the little dragon to find somewhere to hide. Hearing her order, Sneaky obey and quickly move off the bed to hide under it. When Sneaky is gone under the bed. Elsa gets her nightgown and puts it on.
Done putting the cloth on Elsa stands herself next to her bed in direction of the bedroom door. She calms down as she takes a small deep breath before calling out her mother again. "Come in."
When the door opens, it reveals to be Queen Iduna who is Elsa's mother. A woman with dark brown hair and blue eyes. And she is holding a tray with breakfast on it that is for Elsa.
"Good morning mother." Elsa greets her mother and queen. While putting on a straight face. But on the inside, she was panicking. Hoping that her mother would quickly leave. Not wanting her mother to find out about Elsa's hidden guest.
"Good morning Elsa. How are you? Did you sleep well?" asked Iduna as she enters the bedroom.
"Yes, I did. Thank you for asking." respond Elsa.
"That is good to hear. As you can see, I brought you breakfast." said Iduna while moving toward Elsa's desk to put the tray on it.
"Thank you, mother. I will eat it later." said Elsa while still skipping a straight face.
As she deposes the breakfast tray. Iduna notice something unusual about the temperature of the bedroom. As she feels that it starting to drop.
"Elsa, is there something wrong?" asked the queen with concern in her voice.
"No, mother. There is nothing wrong." Elsa quickly responds while she is holding her hands down together.
"Are you sure? Because you can tell me." said Iduna as she approached her daughter. But the queen stops when she sees her daughter stepping back. Telling her not to approach her.
Seeing Elsa's sudden action, Iduna continues to speak to her child with her mothering tone. "Did your power go out of control again last night?"
"No, it did not mother. Nothing happened last night." responded Elsa while looking the other side to avoid her mother's gaze.
"That is good to hear because your father and I will come later after you had breakfast to help you to control your power. Are you up for it?" asked Iduna.
"Of course...Mother" said Elsa with a hidden and unsure tone.
"Don't worry everything is going to be alright." Iduna assure Elsa.
"I hope so." said Elsa while looking down at her hands. Who they are tighter together.
"Alright if you say so, I'm gonna leave you to have your breakfast now. See you later." Iduna smiles at Elsa who emits a small smile in return.
"See you later mother." said Elsa as she watch the queen leave the room.
With the queen gone of the bedroom, Elsa sighs in relief before she turned her attention toward her bed. She sees Sneaky get out of it.
"(sighed.) That was close. Are you ok?" Elsa asked the little dragon who responded with a positive chirp.
"That's good to know. Look, I know it may be a bit much to ask. But can you wait outside for the day and come back at the end of it? Because I want to give you a letter. So you can pass it to Hiccup. I won't have time to write it this morning because my parent will be here. And it obvious I don't want them to find out about you." Elsa explained to the terrible terror her reason why she wants him outside. While hiding the reason that her parent will be here to help to control her magical power.
Hearing her request, Sneaky positively chirps again to say that he is ok with it.
"Thank you. Now come on, you can have some of my breakfast before you go." smiled Elsa before moving toward the bedroom desk with Sneaky following her to have breakfast together.
Later with Sneaky.
Later hours now finding himself flying above the city, Sneaky is exploring it. Since Hiccup hadn't allowed him and the others to go in the city. The first time they were here. And since he is here on his own, Sneaky decided to do it. As he explores the little blue dragon spied on the inhabitants of Arendelle. Looking at them doing their daily basis. Like watching the adults doing their work or kids playing running around. As he continues his exploration, the terrible terror lands on the roof of a house. Look around himself when he notices the smell of food cooking not far from where he is. Being hungry, Sneaky decides to follow him.
Change of scene.
Finding the origin of the delicious smell. He finds himself on another roof. Sneaky went to the edge of the building. He looks down and sees a sign at the entrance written The nice sea to have a meal on it. Still want to know what is this delicious smell. He looks away to go discreetly inside. He finally finds one as he sees an open window. Seeing the opening, Sneaky uses his talent and sneaks inside without being noticed.
In the tavern.
Sitting at the table, we see our learning ice harvester Kristoff talking with the waitress Maria who just serves him a plate of Scaloppine al Limone Fratelli's style(1). Which is a veal cutlet with lemon and rosemary, baked potatoes.
"I have to say this place looks good as new." smiled Kristoff as he look at the place around him.
"I know it just I can't believe this place got trash a couple of weeks ago." said Maria as she remembered the fight that happened at the tavern.
"Well, I do remember that you were in this huge fight." the ice harvester smirk at the waitress who is blushing in embarrassment.
"Shut up." said Maria glaring at her friend.
"Still, I can't believe all this happened because of one pretty boy." Kristoff continues to tease Maria.
"I know. Dad is still not happy with us about what happened to his place. I got lucky that I only got grounded and not fired. Unlike some of the others waitress." shivered Maria, remembering being shouted and some of the girls being fired by Peter the next day after the great girl fight at the tavern.
" Yeah, I know. And you're also lucky your dad hired new waitresses to replaced the one gones. By the way, how is she at work?" Kristoff asked while glancing to his right and left to find the new waitress.
"Oh, Heater is great. She is doing a great job. And it was generous of Dad to let her have one of the rooms to live in. Until she has her own home." said Maria happily while pointing to her right not far from them. The new waitress named Heather is taking orders from the client. A green eyes girl about Hiccup's age with long black hair with a fringe that hid part of her face. With a large braid placed on one of her shoulders.
"That is good to hear." said the ice harvester as he and Maria look with a smile on their face at the new girl.
"Who could believe the chance that there will be another person from the Barbarian Archipelago than Hiccup. After a week He was gone. The same guy that has made you girls crazy about him." the boy teases Maria with a smirk while Maria rolls her eyes in response.
"Speaking of the devil. Do you have any news from our friend Hiccup?" asked Maria.
"Sorry, no news from Hiccup." excused Kristoff disappointed not to have received a message from his friend.
"It's alright. It has only been a couple of weeks and the letter does take time to come here." said Maria who is also a little bit disappointed.
"That is true. And I hope that we will see Hiccup again. As He did promise me that he will be one of my clients one day. Me, the futur best ice harvester of Arendelle." happily exclaimed Kristoff causing Maria to chuckle.
"You and your ice." chuckled Maria with Kristoff doing the same following her lead.
As the two laugh, they do not notice Sneaky managed to sneak under the table. Now under it, the terrible terror not wanting to get caught when He do his little deed. Sneaky fire a fireball toward a table that is unoccupied. When the table starts to burn everyone that is at the tavern begins to panic.
"What the hell?!" yelled Maria as she sees the table near her and Kristoff burning.
"Oh, my God!" yelled another person.
"Quick! somebody turn this damn fire off!" ordered Peter.
"I'm on it!" exclaimed Kristoff as he got up from his chair. Take the jug of water that was on his table and run towards the fire to put it out.
While panic is happening, Sneaky takes this opportunity to steal Kristoff's meal by grabbing its plate with his mouth and discreetly leaving the place where he came from. As nearly every person present is so focused on the fire.
With the fire gone everyone in the tavern starts to calm down and sigh in relief.
"Man that was close." said The ice harvester.
"Where did this fire come from? I remember there was no lighted candle on this table." Maria frowned toward the burned table.
"Honestly, I have no idea." responded Kristoff.
"There must be something that would explain it." said Maria making a gesture of her arm toward the damaged table.
"Magic." simply said the boy.
"Kristoff, that is so stupid. Even for your standard." drily responded Maria.
"What. It is possible." argued Kristoff.
"And for the last time, magic does not exist!" scowled Maria while comically glaring at him.
"And keep telling you! Magic does exist!" argued Kristoff.
They were about to continue their argument when Kristoff notice something missing at the table that he was minutes ago.
"Maria." said Kristoff with widened eyes.
"What," said the waitress now confused.
"You did put my meal on the table, didn't you?" Kristoff asked while still looking at the table.
"Why of course I did serve you your plate." frowned Maria. Not liking to be questioned on her capacity to do her job.
"Then why it is not there anymore." said Kristoff now pointing with his finger at the table where the plate is missing. Causing Maria in her turn widen her eyes in surprise.
"How?" said Maria in shock.
"Hmmm" Kristoff was about to say something but he is interrupted by the waitress.
"No Kristoff! I dare you! If you say magic again. I swear, I will hit you in the face!" Maria glared once again at the ice harvester.
A silence appears between the two until Kristoff breaks it.
"Magic." said Kristoff before he get comically smacked to the face by Maria's wooden tray. Causing everyone around them to laugh at the boy's misfortune. Except for a shock and quiet Heater as she was the only one who saw Sneaky leaving the place with the stolen meal.
At the same time, Kristoff is getting beat up by the waitress. Outside on the roof of the tavern, We see Sneaky with the plate he just stole, enjoying its content.
Back to the castle.
Coming back from his little adventure day, Sneaky discreetly lands at the window edge of Elsa's bedroom. But while he was at the window, the little dragon noticed that one of the glasses that belonged to the window was broken. Leaving a hole big enough for him to pass through. But he also notices frost covering the window from the inside. Seeing this, Sneaky now curious go inside to find out what is the cause of it.
Finally inside of the bedroom and landing on its floor. Sneaky widens his eyes in shock at what he sees. First, the room was in the dark as the curtains of the window were down blocking most of the sunlight. Then the little dragon sees that a huge part of the princess's bedroom is also covered in white frost.
The room would have been dead silent but it wasn't the case as Sneaky heard someone crying coming from one of the corners of the room. Hearing this, Sneaky moves toward the cries to find who is doing it. When he finds it. The little dragon looks stunned as he sees Elsa sitting at the corner of the room, holding her knees while hiding her face against it. As Sneaky looks at the crying human, he begins to wonder what happened here.
Flashback.
After having breakfast and Sneaky leaving the princess's room. We now see Elsa standing in the middle of the room with her parents present. With Queen Iduna seated in a chair that has been moved next to the bedroom's front door. And her father King Agnarr standing in front a few feet from Elsa.
"Okay, Elsa. Like last time, you're going to make a little snowball," Agnarr tells his child what to do.
"But father. Last time I tried to make one. It didn't end well." argued Elsa. As she remembers how she tried to create a snowball but instead she accidentally made ice stalagmites that destroyed her office desk.
"Don't worry, you'll be fine. Your mom and I know you can do it this time." smiled her father telling her she was wrong and encouraging her to do it.
"Your father is right. Don't feel afraid. We all know you can wield it." said Iduna as she smiles to also encourage her daughter.
Hearing this, Elsa take a deep breath before she extends her hand and began to try to concentrate her power through it. In the beginning, nothing happens then small blue shining particles of magic start to appear in the palm of her hand. Seeing this, both parents smile with Elsa's father continuing to encourage their daughter the princess.
"That's good Elsa. Just remember a little snowball." Agnarr said calmly.
But as Elsa continues to concentrate on the task. Images of her and Anna when they were younger start to appear in her head. Elsa at first smiles remembering the memory that night of her and Anna playing together with her power. As she smiled, more magical particles appear and start to assemble to form a blue ball of magic the size of an apple.
"That is great Daughter. Don't feel afraid, You are nearly there." said the queen before getting up from her chair. To move next to her husband. Ready herself to celebrate her joy. Thinking that her eldest daughter is going achieve the first step to control her power.
But the celebration is not going to happen, seeing Elsa's smile disappear and how she is starting to show panic on her face. As she also starts to remember how she nearly killed her little sister with her magical power. Remembering that awful night, Elsa's body starts to tremble with her power beginning to show to be out of control.
"Elsa? Agnarr asked as he and his wife backed away. Both parents begin to worry as they see the magic particles start moving at an unusual speed.
"No...I can't do it...No...Noooo!" Elsa cried as the energy she was holding began to grow once more before exploding into a huge white cloud.
Luckily, King Agnarr tackles his wife to the ground so they won't be hit by Elsa's uncontrollable explosion of magic.
When the explosion occurred, it created several cracks and a hole in the bedroom window and fill the room with Elsa's magical white and cold clouds. As the cloud begins to disperse, the royal couple stands up to their feet. They see with wide eyes that most of the room was now covered in frost. After seeing this, they snap out of their shock. They turn their attention on Elsa to see if she's okay.
"Elsa, how are you?!" Iduna asked as she and Agnarr approached the trembling girl who is standing where she was. But when they approach, the two stop when Elsa comes back from her shock and yells at her parents.
"No, stay back! I don't want you to get hurt!" Elsa cried as she move backward from her parents who are now standing where they are in shock.
"It's fine Elsa, we are both fine. It was just an accident. Nothing happened to us." said Agnarr trying to reassure his daughter. Taking a step towards to reach her.
"No! I mean it! Don't come any closer!" yelled Elsa in tears. Turning her back to her parents while keeping an eye on them.
"Elsa..." said Iduna who start to have tears at the corner of her eyes.
"Please... Just go." said Elsa as more frost start to form on the floor around her feet.
Seeing the frost forming, the king knew if they kept trying to calm her down. It will get worse.
"I am sorry Elsa." sighed King Agnarr.
"Please just go." said Elsa with her eyes close, refusing to look back at him.
"(Sighed) Very well. We will be leaving. I will come back later. To see if you are still alright." sadly said Agnarr. Putting his hand on his wife's shoulder to comfort her. As she was about to crack into tears.
"I'm sorry it didn't turn out the way you wanted. Maybe we'll make it next time." Iduna also spoke before she and her husband started heading for the main bedroom door.
As her parents leave the room. Elsa stayed silent while still refusing to look at them. When they have finally gone, Elsa falls to her knees and covers her face with her hands, and began to cry in full tears.
End of flashback.
Elsa not noticing his presence, Sneaky make himself so by emitting a chirping sound. Causing Elsa to be startled.
"Sneaky... ?" Elsa looks with wide eyes the little terror that is now a few feet in front of her.
Finally having her attention, Sneaky starts to moves again toward the sitting princess. Who she is starting to panic.
"No. No. No! Stop where you are!" warned Elsa while hugging her knees closer to herself.
Hearing her order, the little blue dragon stop and give her a confused look. They both stay silent for a moment with Sneaky still staying where he is. While Elsa still hiding her face against her knees. Refusing to look at him. Having enough of this silence, Sneaky broke it as he emitted another squeak to ask what happened here.
"I don't want to talk about it. Leave me alone." said Elsa still refusing to lift her head.
Beginning to worry, the Terrible Terror quietly creeps towards the Princess without her noticing. He gave another chirp. Hearing the little dragon again, this time Elsa raises her head a bit to look at Sneaky. Before she hides her face again.
With the girl's face hidden again, Sneaky once again walks towards her. In the end, he finds him right next to her. Finding himself to Elsa's side and her not noticing his action. He sits where he is now and waits quietly as she speaks.
"You are wondering what happened aren't you?" murmured Elsa, enough for Sneaky to hear her.
In his response, Sneaky says nothing while tilting his head to his right. Giving her a curious look.
"I am going to tell you this because I know you can't tell to anyone. Since dragon can't speak the human language," said Elsa.
"If you want to know where this mess coming from. I am the one who did it." Elsa said referring to the frost present in the bedroom. Causing the little dragon to be more confused.
"You must be wondering how? The thing is, I'm not a normal girl. I'm not even a servant who works at the castle, but we both know that you can already guess that." Elsa said while emitting a small smile.
"The truth about me is that I'm a princess and the heir to the kingdom of Arendelle. But that is not the cause of this mess. You see as I said. I'm not even a person normal because I have a magic power. You want proof, here is one." Elsa explained, raising one of her arms and extending her hand. By emitting small particles of magic. While hiding her face against her knees. Sneaky's eyes widen as he sees the tiny particles glow. Before it vanishes into thin air.
"Now you think I'm a freak or a monster? Like, mom and dad." Elsa sighed sadly thinking that the little dragon is now afraid of her and had already run away.
Raising her head, as she expected. Elsa to her great sadness sees that the dragon in front of her is indeed gone. But the princess is startled when she hears a chirp to her right. Turning to her attention to the right, Elsa is shocked to find Sneaky calmly sitting right next to her.
"Sneaky?" asked a surprised Elsa as she didn't expect the little blue dragon to still be there. Didn't even expect him to be so close to her. The fact that he is still calm after she's just shown her power. Then, to her surprise, Sneaky moved from where he was sitting to put himself onto the girl's lap. Getting comfortable, he begins to sleep happily on it. Emitting his purr like a cat.
"You are not scared of me." murmured Elsa who is completely rigid at what is happening.
"You are really not scared of me." Elsa repeats what she just said, smiling while gently stroking Sneaky's head with her hand. Tears of happiness began to appear at the corner of her eyes.
Hours later.
Coming back to her daughter's bedroom to see if Elsa has calmed down. We see King Agnarr standing in front of the bedroom door. Knocking on the door several times, the king calls out his child.
"Elsa. It's your father, can I come in?" Agnarr asked permission to enter.
"Yes, father. comes in." Elsa replied from behind the door.
Hear the girl's response. The king enters and he expects the room to be still largely covered with frost and that his daughter is still depressed. But to his surprise, he sees that most of the frost is gone as they had never been there in the first place. And his daughter Elsa sitting in her office chair, smiling at him. Seeing his father, Elsa gets up from her chair to greet him again.
"Father." Elsa gives a little bow of the head to her father.
"Elsa... are you alright?" asked the still stunned father.
"Why of course father. Why?" responded Elsa.
"Well…you know. With what happened here earlier. I thought that you would still be upset." Agnarr said while scratching the back of his head.
"I mean, I would be extremely but after being left alone to calm down. I guess I'm less upset now. We know it was an accident. And no one was hurt." Elsa explained with a little lie since she didn't want Sneaky to be found and them get into trouble.
"That's very mature of you. That's good to hear. Which I'm extremely sorry to what happened." Agnar apologized for stressing his eldest daughter.
"No. No, please don't apologize. It's not you who cause me to lose control. This was all on me." Elsa said waving her own hands a little.
"Are you sure because I feel like I am the one who pushed you." said Agnarr in shame while looking at his feet.
"No, like I said before. It was me who freaked out because I remembered something unpleasant," said Elsa.
"Can you tell me about it?" The king asked, hoping to help Elsa.
"I'm sorry father. I don't want to talk about it." Elsa said as she glances down at her gloved hands.
"I understand but still if you need to talk about it. Your mother and I are here for you." said Agnarr.
"Thank you father." smiled Elsa.
"You are welcome, my dear." The king smiled back.
The king then went to his child with the attention to hug her to comfort her. But unfortunately, Elsa sees his attention and steps backward. With her not wanting to accidentally hurt her father. Seeing this, the king stops as his smile fades. Replacing it with an expression of sadness, knowing that Elsa must still be afraid of hurting those who would come too close to her.
"Elsa, I need to ask you. Are you alright to continue trying to control your power?" asked Agnarr.
"Sorry father, I am still too scared to continue. At least for now." explained Elsa while looking again at her hands who began to tremble a little.
"Very well, I guess it for the best for now. But I promise you. We will find a way to help you to control your power. I know you can do it. Because you are my daughter." Agnarr said conforming hid attention to help his child.
"Thank you." Elsa murmured before smiling at her father who continued to smile back at her.
Meanwhile, outside, we see Sneaky quietly and hidden at the bedroom window watching the interaction between father and daughter. After watching it, he decided it was time to leave. Hr flies away from the castle for the dwarves' home at the kingdom of the Rock with a letter written by Elsa for Hiccup.
Meanwhile at Berk.
Far from the mainland of the continent of Westeros on the Isle of Berk. We see Astrid sitting on a log that belongs to a fallen from a dead tree. Staring out to the sea with her ax in hand. As she gazes at the horizon, Astrid grips the handle of her weapon tighter, remembering the event that happened at Berk. And at her place weeks ago with the chief visiting them.
Flashback.
A few days after Hiccup's departure or death for those of Berk. When everything in the village has been repaired since the attack. In the Hofferson house, we see that Astrid's father was having dinner at the dining table. As Rollo eats his meal, he hears footsteps coming from the floor above.
Hearing this, Rollo looks up to the stairs and sees his wife and Astrid's mother, Hilda Hofferson coming downstairs. Holding a tray with an empty bowl on it.
"How is she?" Rollo asked his wife with concern in his voice.
"Still quiet but she did finish her food this time." replied Hilda.
"At least she eats normally now." Rollo put a small sad smile on his face.
"I just hope my baby girl will talk to us again." said Hilda sadly.
"Don't worry my dear. Give her time, She will come to us eventually. You know she took Hiccup's death pretty hard. Remember when we lost my brother." said Rollo.
"Yes, I know and remember. I hope she will come back to us. Still, I can't believe Little Hiccup is gone. He was such a good kid." said Hilda.
"Indeed, He was. Although he was not like us. Stoïck's son did so much for the village. And yet we did not see or knowledge him for what good he has done. Even Stoïck did not notice it. His own and only son. That fool." Rollo frowned, clenching his fist.
"And so much for our family. Certainly, for Astrid, even she didn't realize or care. Those two were good friends when they were little. Astrid even told us that she starting to have a crush on the boy." said Hilda.
"Oh I remember she even told me she would marry Stoïck's son." chuckled Rollo along with Hilda only a little.
"So how or why did they cease to be?" said Hilda as she walks over to the dining table, where her husband is.
"I'm telling you why. It happened because our daughter decided to focus on honoring our family and being a dragon slayer to hunt down the Flightmare one day. To get revenge for her uncle's death, Finn. Who he was killed by that damn beast." Rollo growled remembering the night his brother got killed that night when it came.
"May your brother feast at the hall of Valhalla with our kind." said Asta while putting her hand on Rollo's shoulder. After she put the tray on the table.
"Thank you, dear." Rollo thanked his wife. With him reaching Hilda's hand with his own.
"But I wonder what is going to happen to the village. With Hiccup gone? After all, he was Stoïck's only son and heir." said Hilda questioning the village futur.
As Rollo was about to answer, he is interrupted by a knock on the front door of their house. Hearing this, Hilda walked to the door and opened it, revealing it to be Stoick the Vast.
Standing in front of her. Hilda can see that the chief is in a terrible state as she notices the dark circles under the man's eyes and dirty hairs. And that he still wearing the same dirty clothes since the night of the attack. Holding bag full of unknown content by the Hofferson.
"The poor man. He is still mourning the loss of his son." thought Hilda feeling sorry for the chef.
"Good evening chief. Is there anything we can do for you?" Hilda greeted the village leader.
"Good evening to you too. May I come in, I would like to speak with you and your husband?" asked the village chief calmly permission to come inside.
"Of course, Stoïck comes in, we've just finished eating our meal." Hilda said moving aside to let Stoïck into the house.
"Thank you Hilda." Stoïck thanked her before starting to enter. But he stops when Hilda addresses him again.
"Stoïck. I know you may hear a lot. But I am sorry for your loss. And If you need anything just let us know. My family and I are ready to help." Hilda gives her condolence to the man.
Stoïck pauses a second before he looks at Rollo's wife to emit a small smile on his lips. Nodding his head while whispering another thank you to her. Before he finally goes inside.
Now in of the house, Stoïck is greeted this time by Rollo who he is staying where he is sitting.
"Hello chief, how are you feeling?" asked Rollo knowing partly how Stoïck must be going through right now. Since he also lost members of his own family to the dragons.
"Good for the moment, Thank you for asking Rollo." replied the village chief.
"Glad to hear. Come on, have a seat. Do you want anything to drink or eat?" Rollo invited Stoïck to seat on one of the chairs at the dining table.
"Water please?" requested Stoick as he sit down on the chair.
"I'll get you a cup. I'll be right back." Hilda volunteers as she goes to the kitchen to get what she said.
Minutes later, with the three adults all sitting at the table, Rollo is the one to speak first.
"Stoïck, we all have lost people precious to us on Berk. And for someone losing his child is the hardest. Honestly, I don't know what I would do If I ever lose Astrid. But know Berk is with you and always." said Rollo while his wife nodded her head in agreement.
"You are welcome. But I have to ask why are you here so late at my house? Rollo asked wanting to know the presence of the village chief in his home.
"If you are wondering why I am here. It is because, as I said a few minutes ago, I need to talk to you two about something important. And I want to hear your opinion at once on this matter." Stoick explains to them why he is here.
"What is do need to talk about?" asked Hilda.
"(sighed) As you know since my son is now in Walhalla. I need a new heir. For Berk safety and future." The chief started to explain the reason why he is here.
"Well of course you would need a new heir." Hilda agreed with the village leader.
"And the fact that I don't have any members of my own family. The only other family close to mine is the Jorgenson. Since my sister married Spitelout." Stoïck continues to explain the situation.
"And following the logic of the line of succession to the closest to you. You may have to choose Snotlout as your heir. I can see the situation you are in." frowned Hilda not liking the situation.
"Now you can see the problem." sighed Stoïck in frustration.
"I don't like this brat. He is arrogant as an ass. All he cares about is showing his muscle and thinking for himself. And he only does something for the village when it arranges for him or to show off to the girls." Rollo started to complain.
"Indeed, he does and I certainly don't like the way he acts toward our daughter." Hilda frowned in disgust as she remembered the number of times the snot brat tried to seduce Astrid.
"I know right! The worst part is his family. A few weeks ago, Spitelout came to talk to me at the great hall. He had the audacity to propose that his brat and daughter get married. And of course, as result, I punch him in the face. You were there Stoïck." growled Rollo causing Stoïck to chuckle.
"Oh yes, I remember. It was a good punch. By the way." Stoïck commented on remembering what happened that day in the Great Hall.
"So that's why he had a black eye and a broken nose on his face. I knew that I got hit by someone but I never thought it would be you. Why didn't you tell me about this?" Hilda asked her husband in shock.
"Because I didn't want our house to be at war with the Jorgenson. You know how it is when it comes to Astrid. You're like a mama bear with her little cubs." Rollo explained his reason.
"It's true. We all remember what you did to Mildew. When he insulted your daughter, years ago. Oh my God, I almost felt sorry for him. Certainly to his sheep." chuckled Stoïck.
"What can I say his sheep was nice to eat as a good stew." said Hilda.
"Well, there is a reason why everyone called her the bloody female beast of vengeance of Berk. And it was indeed a good stew you made." commented Rollo, causing his wife to pout.
"I don't really like that name." moaned Hilda as her cheeks turned red. Before she returns to the subject of their discussion.
"But you did well to refuse the marriage proposal. Because Snotlout and Astrid together. Over Spitelout dead body." Asta growled like a mother bear ready to protect her cub.
"You damn right! This is not going to happen. Out of all the boys in this Berk. Hiccup would have been the best to be Astrid's husband. And is not because he is Stoïck's son." Rollo said in agreement with his wife.
"You are right, Little Hiccup would have been good for my little girl." Hilda said in agreement with Rollo's choice of husband for Astrid.
"Of course, Hiccup would have been good for her. I don't get why Astrid hang out with Snotlout and his friends. Fishlegs is alright, he is a smart boy. But not smart enough as he follows Snotlout and the Thorston twins. Those two idiots." Rollo continued to complain.
"I feel bad for Berk next generation." Stoïck sighed in frustration. Knowing that future headache is going to happen for him.
"Both Thorston children are not that bad." said Hilda.
"Please. Those two are troublemakers. If we let them all carte blanche, the entire village would be on fire by them." said Rollo crossing his arms together. Stoïck nods his head in agreement with Rollo's words.
"Lucky for us they do hold some limit. Thanks to their parents and the gods somehow. I am sure they will calm down and mature in the future." commented Hilda.
"I better not tell them that the twins are going to inherit Hiccup machines." thought Stoïck not wanting to be blamed for giving the twins the machines Hiccup has built.
"But with Hiccup gone, the Jorgenson family is going to push us to accept the marriage. Since Snotlout is going to be the heir. I am right Stoïck?" growled Rollo.
"Perhaps it doesn't have to be that way." Stoick said causing both Hofferson to look at him confused and surprised.
"What do you mean?" asked Rollo.
"What I mean is that instead of taking Snotlout, I would like to make your daughter be my only heir in the position of chief of Berk." said Stoïck.
"What? Are you serious?" asked Hilda in shock.
"Indeed, I am. I do not doubt that Astrid would be a great leader for the village. The girl is stronger and smarter than any youngster in Berk. And respected by all in the village." explained Stoïck.
"Of course, she is. There is a reason why she came second at the dragon-slaying academy. She could have been first and been selected to kill the Nightmare. If it wasn't for your son. No offense chief." Rollo excused to the chief.
"To be honest with you. I thought that young Hofferson would come first of the class and my son last. This year." admitted Stoïck.
"We all did." Hilda also admitted the same thing.
"That is great but you forgot something important." said Rollo to the table occupants.
"What would that be?" Hilda asked.
"It's that it's hard to take an heir outside of your own family without a good reason and the support of the council of village chiefs. Am I right?" Rollo said looking directly at Stoïck who nodded in agreement with the information.
"Indeed it is. And It will be more difficult when the Jorgenson will be against it. Since you all know that they are part of my family by marriage between Spitlout and my sister." Stoïck continues to explain.
"And the Hofferson has never been related to the Haddock. Since the beginning of Berk. Not even by marriage. So unless Astrid was engaged to your son. It's almost impossible for Astrid to be the next leader. " grumbled Rollo.
"That can be arranged." calmly said Stoïck.
"What do you mean that be arranged?" said Rollo getting confused with his wife.
When he heard the question. Stoïck reaches out of the bag he was carrying and pulls an old scroll. He unfolds it on the table.
"What is that?" asked Asta while looking at the paper to read what was written on it.
"It's an old unsigned marriage contract that is between Astrid and Hiccup." Stoïck revealed the content of the open paper scroll. Causing both Hofferson to gasp in shock.
"A marriage contract?!" exclaimed in shock Hilda and Rollo.
"Yes, you see a couple of years ago. When our kids were four of age. Hiccup godmother got the idea to make one." said Stoïck.
"Hiccup godmother. Wait... You mean..." Rollo was about to say the identity of Hiccup's godmother. But he is interrupted by Stoïck.
"Do not say her name!" growled Stoïck while hitting the table with his fist. The two Hoffersons flinched a little by Stoïck action.
"Sorry chief." Rollo apologized knowing how dangerous it is to say the women's name in Stoïck's presence.
"(Sighing.) It's fine. She came up with the idea. Thinking it would be good for our families and Berk. She wrote the contract herself. She has even done something on the scroll. So it doesn't deteriorate over time. I don't even want to know how." said Stoick.
"I think she certainly did for Hiccup. We all know how she is when it comes to her godson." Hilda said as the two men nodded in agreement. Even Stoïck hated to admit it. As they all knew how Hiccup Godson loved him.
"I presume this was written before she was banned of Berk." guessed Hilda.
"Yes, it is. If you wonder why I didn't present you the marriage contract. It was because I was hoping that we wouldn't need to use it. Thinking that your daughter and my son would fall in love with each other. Plus I thought that you will refuse it. Since Hiccup is not like any Viking of Berk." admitted Stoïck.
"Are you kidding me? If it was only for me, I would have accepted in the first place. Your son is a good boy. He is smart and responsible. Sure he did mistakes but at least he assumes them." said Rollo.
"True, out of all the boys in Berk, Hiccup was the best. But why are you showing it now?" asked Hilda.
"You see if Astrid was betrothed to Hiccup. Everyone would accept her as the new leader. Even if Spitelout and his family would be against it." explained Stoïck.
"But the problem is that the contract has to be signed while Hiccup was still alive." stated Rollo.
"The village doesn't need to know that." said Stoïck.
"What do you mean?" asked Hilda.
"What I mean, is that the people of Berk will only know that the contract has been signed by our two families, years ago. And if they ask why It hasn't been announced. We will tell that it was for the kids' security." Stoïck tells them the lie they need to use.
"But that would be lying to the people of Berk." said Hilda with her being uncomfortable with the plan.
"Better this than leaving the position of the chief to Spitelout brat. We all know what will happen when Snotlout ever becomes Berk's leader. But who knows about the arranged marriage plan?" said Rollo as he agrees with Stoïck's plan. Before asking him.
"Thank you for agreeing with me, Rollo. And for the ones who know about it are Gobber, Gothi, Hiccup godmother, and three of us. If the situation of the plan gets complicated, I will take full responsibility. Now, maybe we should talk to your daughter. It's her future we're talking about." Stoïck suggested.
"You are right. Let me get her. She is still in her bedroom." Rollo volunteered to get his daughter. He was about to get up from his chair. But he is stopped when his wife speaks to him.
"That won't be necessary." spoke Hilda.
"Why is that my dear?" asked Rollo.
"Because she is already there. Am I right Astrid?" said Hilda not bothering to turn her head toward the stairs.
Hearing this, both men look surprised before they turn their attention to the stairs to see an exhausted and sad Astrid standing at the bottom of the stairs. Sitting back at the table, Rollo starts to speak to her.
"How long have you been there?" asked Astrid's father.
"When you started talking about finding a new heir for Berk." Astrid replied, starting to walk towards the table where the adults are.
"So you heard everything?" asked Stoïck.
"Yes." simply responded Astrid.
"Even the marriage arrangement contract." said Stoïck.
"Yes." Astrid replied again.
"And I presume you want to say something to this matter. I understand it is important. So say what you need to tell. We are all listening." calmly said Stoïck while the Hofferson adults nod their heads in agreement.
"Why do you want me to be your heir?" asked Astrid.
"Astrid. Like I said to your parents. You are strong and smart. You have leader material. And I do think that you would a good leader for Berk. I am not the only one. Even Hiccup said so." explained Stoïck.
"Hiccup?" Astrid asked surprised by Hiccup's support.
"Yes in his will. He wrote to me that I should take you as my heir. For the position of leader of Berk. Speaking of will, you forgot to take what he left you. " Berk's leader said before reaching into his bag to pull out a small chest and a small package.
Putting the two objects on the table, Stoïck returns his attention to the girl.
"These are for you, Astrid. Come on open them." said Stoïck.
Hearing it, Astrid headed for the small chest first. And when she opens it. All the adults Hofferson widen their eyes as they see that it is full of golden and silver coins.
"You forgot to take the money that was for you. But I think you should look at the other thing that Hiccup has left for you." said Stoïck while he make a small gesture to the other packet.
Following the chief suggestion, Astrid went to the second package. The girl gasped as she open it and discover a silver bangle bracelet with a dragon head at each end. One with the head of a Deadly Nadder with blue sapphire gems as its eyes. The other is the head of a Night fury with emeralds as its eyes.
"Oh, by the beard of Odin, this bracelet is magnificent." Hilda commented admiring the silver gift that is for her daughter.
"I will say a gift worthy for my daughter." said Rollo in approval for his daughter.
"It must have been very expensive to have it made." Stoïck is the last to comment on what they all see.
"He didn't buy it." said Astrid now holding the bracelet.
"What do you mean my daughter?" asked Rollo.
"Hiccup didn't buy the bracelet because he made it himself." Astrid repeat that Hiccup didn't purchase it.
"How can you tell?" Hilda asked, looking more curiously at the bracelet.
"I do know He crafted it because there are his initials on it."Astrid explained, showing the three small letters H that can be seen on the object.
"Really ?" asked Rollo.
"Yes, If you must know. These three initial represent Hiccup Headerous Haddock. There are also the same on your sword at the bottom of its handle. Dad." said Astrid pointing with her hand her father's sword.
"Really?" asked Rollo before he start to inspect his sword that is attached to his belt. When he looks at the weapon he finds the three little H letters engrave at the bottom of the blade handle.
"She's rights look." said Rollo showing what he found to everyone present at the table.
"Unbelievable." said Hilda in surprise.
"I have been told by Gobber. Hiccup did put his initials on every work he has done since he properly started to work at the forge. He has done many for the people of Berk. He also repaired My ax. But I would never think my son would be good at crafting jewels." commented Stoïck still admiring Astrid's bracelet gift.
As they continue to look at Astrid's heritage on the table the Hofferson daughter says something that would shock everyone at the table.
"I can't take them." declared Astrid while putting the bracelet back on the table.
"Why?" asked Rollo in shock along with the other two adults in the room.
"Because I don't deserve it. Certainly the proposal to be the next Chief Berk." expressed Astrid her refusal to accept what is given for her.
"Don't say that Astrid." Hilda said in disagreement with her child.
"But it is true. I was a terrible friend to Hiccup. I didn't help him when Snotlout bullied him. And I wasn't there when he need a friend. I made a terrible mistake for not being with him." argued Astrid while her eyes turn red as they start to moisten in tears.
"Astrid..." Hilda gets up from her chair to comfort Astrid.
"I was so focused on becoming the best dragon slayer for revenge. I didn't notice or thank the boy who helped me and my family. The best boy who would have been the love of my life! I'm the biggest fool in Berk! Astrid the fool! Astrid the unworthy! The shamed maiden!" cried Astrid in tears.
"Oh, Astrid." Astrid's mother comforts her by hugging her.
"Please Astrid stop saying these hurtful things." Said Rollo getting worried for Astrid.
"Your father is right. What are you saying is not true." said Hilda feeling sorry for Astrid.
"But ..." Astrid tried to argue but she is interrupted by the village chief.
"Astrid." said Stoïck catching the girl's attention.
"Chief?" said Astrid turning her attention to Stoïck.
"Astrid, I would be a hypocrite if I say nothing about you being the only one feeling responsible. But you are wrong because we have all wronged my son. Like me, I was supposed to be a father to him. I ignored him and I don't think I will be able to make up with him in the afterlife. But I do think you can. And even if you were a bad friend to him. Why are you in the will? I will tell you why it is because of even what happened between the two of You. My son loves you and still does where he is now. He thinks you can change for the better. That you will do great things for us when you are chief." said Stoïck, giving the girl a small smile to reassure her.
"You think so?" asked Astrid as she wipe out the tears off her face with her arm.
"I do. And If my son was still among us. He would say to you to take the position as the next leader of the village. And I would certainly be happy if you were my daughter-in-law. So what do you say Astrid?" said the chief sincerely.
Hearing the man's words, Astrid is silent for a moment before speaking again.
"Like I said before. Ever since I was a little girl, I've only focused on becoming the best shield maiden for revenge. I have completely ignored friendship and love. And that cost me my friendship with Hiccup. When Hiccup died, it made me realize that I loved him and I will never be able to tell him how much I feel for him." said Astrid before she take a moment to take a breath.
"I may not be able to repair what I have done to Hiccup. But now I have the opportunity to do something for his memory. And when the time comes for me to go Wahalla. I will reunite with Hiccup not just as friends but as husband and wife." declared Astrid. Causing all three to smile at her.
"So will you take it?" Stoïck asked the girl once again.
"Yes, I will take it. I will be Hiccup's wife. I will make him proud of me." declared Astrid.
"That is good to hear." Stoïck smiled along with the Hofferson parents.
"I am going to get the ink and pen." said Rollo before he go up from his chair to get what he need for the signature of the document.
"I am so proud of you my sweet child." said Hilda hugging Astrid.
"Thank mum." Astrid thanks her mother.
A moment later, when Rollo comes back with the inkpot and writing quills. Both Rollo and Stoïck sign the marriage contract.
"Now it is done how about we make a toast to celebrate." Rollo happily declares.
"That sounds like a good idea." Stoïck agrees with Hofferson's father.
As Rollo gets up from his chair to get the drink and cups. Hilda addresses something to Stoïck.
"Stoïck, I would like to ask. When the marriage contract will be announced?" asked Hilda.
"I think it the best I announce it to the village in a couple of weeks. After everything calms down." replied Stoïck.
"That is a good thing to wait. Certainly when you are still hurt from the loss of your son. I am right." said Hilda causing everyone to feel sad for the recent death of Stoïck's son.
"Yes, I admit it. I'm still hurt. And it will take me a long time or even all my life to mourn my son." Stoïck takes a small breath before he continues.
"But after what happened tonight. I hope I made my son proud of me." Stoïck smiled as he and those at the table watched Rollo return holding a wooden jug with beer and mugs.
"Of course, He would be proud of his father. You took his advice and did it for the good of the village." said Rollo while serving everyone at the table a cup of Ale each even a small one for Astrid.
"Dad...?" asked a surprised Astrid not expecting to serve a cup of Ale.
"Take it, Astrid. You can't toast with us for your fiance without a drink." said Rollo as he start to lift his cup of Ale.
"Your father is right." said Stoïck doing the same thing Rollo.
At the words of the men, Astrid glances at her smiling mother who follows the action of the other adults, lifting her cup. Seeing this, Astrid in her turn takes the cup of ale and lifts it to toast with occupants of the table.
"For my son and the future of Berk." said Stoïck with him being the first to toast.
"For Hiccup and family." Hilda follows the chief with the toast.
"For the young lad and the gods." Rollo joins the toast.
"For Hiccup and love." Astrid was the last one to give the toast.
"Skoll!" All the table occupants toast at the same time before they start drinking their cups.
End of the flashback.
Remembering the event that happened, Astrid cease when she felt a hand on her shoulder. The girl turns her head and sees that the hand belongs to her father.
"Dad." said Astrid.
"The meeting at the great hall with all the village is about to start. We better get going." Rollo said his daughter.
"Thanks, dad." said Astrid before she get up from the tree tronc she was sitting.
"You are welcome. Now come along." said Rollo before he start to move toward the building of the great hall.
Astrid was about to follow her father. The girl looks at the sea horizon one last time. And she frowns as she notices dark clouds with green lightning coming toward Berk.
"I don't know why but something big is going to happen." Astrid said to herself before she move again to catch up with her father.
