Hot Wheels Battle Force 5: Ophelia's Reach
Chapter 6
The forest flew by in purple shades as they came upon their invisible quarry. Silver let go of Zoom and gripped the bike with her thighs as she waved her hands forward. The massive leaves that framed the left side of the road on the turn bent low to the ground. Instantly, water flowed up from the forest behind them and froze with a sharp inhale of the guardian.
"Now guys – FLOOR IT!" She urged. Zoom cranked his bike to the left and Chopper glided smoothly around the turn on the ramp of ice. He was surprised by how much easier than usual it was to control the drift, especially on ice. As he did, Kyburi immerged from the underbrush, pouncing to the middle of the road, and narrowly missing by a hair. She snarled in frustration. Saber engaged its blades and gave her a good hit as he swung around the magic-made ramp.
"You made a mistake returning to this cursed planet, humans!" the huntress shrieked as she whipped around in hot pursuit. "the guardian's fate is sealed in the graves with the rest of her people!"
Silver turned around, still engaged in her magic, and reformed the ice into a boulder that flew towards the sentient from behind. The impact sent her vehicle to the ground, face-first first, shaving up layers of dirt as it skidded to a halt. Silver felt the rage burst from the core of her opponent's being as Kyburi quickly recovered.
"Sark, ATTACK!"
Zoom glanced back at their long and growing tail of red machines. "These your friends coming to say goodbye?"
Saber side-sliced a couple trees. They fell into the road, crushing one and tripping two more, but the rest streamed single-file through the gap on the side. Silver drew water from nearby plants that they passed and sent javelins of ice through the windshields of the two closest sark, causing them to malfunction and swerve before tumbling sideways in the path of their comrades. The remaining sark pushed past the wreckage, Kyburi in their midst, fangs bare and dripping with viscous ruthlessness.
"Very soon," she cackled. "this hunt will be over."
"There's too many and they're too close," Vert said as he forced one off the road and into the patch of flowers he and Zoom had wondered about earlier. The vehicle burst into a net of electricity as little dots of light angrily zipped around in tight loops.
"Sorry!" Silver called out.
"To the FLOWERS?" Vert gaped.
"The FAERIES!"
"Seriously," the biker shook his head. "we need to talk when we get back."
"We will," the guardian assured as Zoom glanced back into her glowing eyes. "focus on the road, I've got your back,"
Silver turned around in her seat so her back was against the scout, and reached out her hands, beckoning the droplets and pools of water collected in the deep of the forest to come to her aid. Small waves pushed Sark into each other as Chopper and Saber rushed through the forest. Silver launched a volley of ice blades, eliminating the last two sark.
"Almost there!" Vert announced.
"WE GOT MORE COMPANY," his scout alerted. Silver turned back to the front. Oh crap. It was as if Kyburi called ALL the troops she had been storing in Takesh. The road ahead was coated in a sea of red. The sentient could be heard laughing maniacally, reveling in the nearness of victory.
"HOW ANGRY DID YOU MAKE HER?" Zoom shouted the rhetorical question before turning to his leader. "VERT, THE FUSER!"
"Clear a path, I've got Kyburi," Silver claimed through grit teeth. Zoom launched the fuser before he suddenly realized what she said.
"Now just HOLD ON A SEC," He started, but Silver had already jumped off, leaving her backpack frozen to the back end of Chopper. "are you CRAZY?! There's NO RAIN,"
"I'll meet you at the portal zone," her voice faintly carried to his ear. He looked back to see small glowing pools of water encase her arms and feet as she ran towards the sentient in a vehicle ten times taller and a million times faster. Silver looked like a flea using a splinter to take down a black widow – outmatched.
Is she NUTS? Zoom watched her tiny figure in disbelief. Why does she always have to run off and do the reckless thing?
"Kinda reminds me of someone else I know," Vert smirked as they rushed into the swirl of energy.
Zoom rolled his eyes and huffed. "Yeah but at least I didn't try to fight EVIL ON WHEELS with a TOOTHPICK,"
The boys reached the center of the vortex and turned the lever on their dashboards. "Unite, and STRIKE!"
Skyknife emerged and swooped low, shredding sark left and right. Meanwhile, Silver had charged Kyburi, sword drawn.
"Finally, up close and personal." The red snarled as she took a broad swipe with the claw-like wheel. The guardian gracefully jumped up and used it as a springboard to launch herself into the windshield. She took a swift stab at the glass, but with no effect. Irritated, the huntress swatted at her like a fly as Silver leaped down, dodged in and out of the legs, and summoned small waves that speedily glided her across the ground.
"Hold STILL!" she shrieked, frustrated.
"Too scared to come out and really play?" Silver taunted. I need more water… she thought as an ice blade shattered against the windshield. She knows she safe where I can't pierce her shell. Silver sheathed her weapon and swept the remainder of her wave to carry her into the forest.
"Running and hiding again, guardian? Krytus told me you were better than this. I'm disappointed." Kyburi cackled and launched her spiked grapple after the favian. Silver dropped out of its path and swiped up at the cord with her magic. Again, it wasn't enough to sever the line. As the weapon was reeled back in, Silver had to be careful it didn't take her with it and she magically swiped again and the water jumped up to push it clear of her head. Damn, I'm running out of ammo. C'mon, I know you're around here somewhere… Silver panted, beads of sweat falling into her eyes. Even this, she added to what small bubble she had left to ride. Frantically, Silver collected from whatever cupped plant she passed as Kyburi pursued her relentlessly, flattening the thick underbrush.
"I can sense your desperation, guardian – you're running out of options!"
Almost there…
Kyburi pounced and took one more swipe. Silver felt the breath forced out of her body as she flew and whacked her head against a tree. Stars sprung up immediately and the ground felt like it was floating away. Ungh… ow… she thought groggily as a blurry red figure strode towards her.
"Weeks of setting traps and watching every single move of yours… and all it takes is one hit and you're reduced to a heap of flesh groveling at my feet." Kyburi snickered. She stooped and grabbed her dazed opponent by the throat. "I supposed I should thank you, guardian, for making this hunt truly fun for me,"
Silver felt her heartbeat in her skull as the sentient's grip tightened. Her hand reached for her sword, but Kyburi's other hand swiftly pinned it against the tree.
"I was planning on carving out your heart alive," she cackled as she squeezed harder. "you know, I could snap your neck right now if I wanted to, but a slow, painful death suits you. I want to see the life fade from those hideous eyes,"
She tried to pry her mind from the suffocation-induced panic and think of a way out. Mother, grant me… transformation… Silver felt the magic enter her body as the shift began. Her opponent shrieked and stumbled back, blinded by the light. This was the time that Silver needed and she drew her blade, and with her magic, sucked the water from the tree itself. The water launched Silver at Kyburi and she drove her sword through her chest. The two hit the ground and Kyburi screamed with painful rage as the cracks in her shell grew until it couldn't contain her essence any longer. The red sentient exploded, but not before viscously digging her claws into Silver's arms. The heat from the pure energy burned beneath her as Kyburi's essence escaped into the open air.
Great… she'll respawn, and we get to do that all again… Silver gasped and rolled onto her back. Her head throbbed and the skin and scales on her front stung. Laying on the forest floor, tail peppered with dirt, she knew that despite her victory, she wasn't done yet. The guardian groaned knowing there was still a lot of work ahead of her. Her friends were warding off a whole fleet of sark and who knew how much longer they'd last. Mother… grant me… she had hardly finished the prayer before she felt her body shift back to its normal form. Thanks.
Anytime, child.
Silver slowly sat up, tapping her skin beneath her tunic to gauge her burns. A sting radiated from wherever her fingers touched, but it wasn't terrible. The more problematic area was her arms. Kyburi's nails had most definitely reached some muscle tissue. Blood oozed from the punctures in her deltoids. Slowly, with aches all over, Silver shifted to her knees and got up, staggering as she straightened. The world spun a little, and then gradually, the floor felt level again and she carefully walked to where she had originally planned to draw her opponent. She was aware that with every second, the guys could be losing a fight and time was not on their side. The longer they waited, the more sark would swarm to their location. Silver clenched her jaw and painfully drew the water that had fallen to the ground during her last efforts. The magic encased the water around her feet, and she proceeded to awkwardly slide across the ground. Almost there…
Back on the road, the fusion had given the boys a huge advantage, and they decimated at least half of the sea of sark. Skyknife ripped through the machinery of three more, but a tremor let them know that their time was almost up.
"There's still too many!" Zoom looked around exasperated. "We're losing fusion – where's Silver?"
"Too late, we're dropping down,"
Skyknife coasted to the ground and the boys immerged from a flash of light in their separate rides. The portal zone was just up ahead, but the remaining enemy blocked their path. Vert revved his engine and engaged Saber's blades.
"I'll take these guys on the left if you've got the ones on the right," his leader decided.
"Great plan."
"Hey, smash and dash is all I've got left,"
Zoom revved Chopper in anticipation. "Then let's make this quick,"
"Hold on," Vert paused. "do you hear that?" The boys looked around and even the sark seemed distracted by the distant crazy rustle of leaves. The rustle quickly grew into a roar as a huge wave cascaded over the treetops and into the road, picking up sark in its rush and crashing them into the forest. The water alone fried their circuitry, but the sheer force of it dashed them to pieces against the trees. Vert and Zoom cheered to see their friend make short work of their enemy. Silver rode in on its tail, arms pushing straight ahead until her job was done. She released her hold, the glow left her eyes, and the water sank down and spread out, flooding the forest floor. Zoom came to her side and quickly noticed the blood soaking through her shirt. Silver teetered as she took a step toward him, and then fell to her knees, clutching her head. The scout and his leader jumped out to help her.
"You look really bad," Zoom frowned as he gingerly put her arm over his shoulder and helped her up. Silver grimaced as they stood and had to bite her tongue from crying out.
"I'm fine," she grunted through the pain.
"No, you're not. Shut up and get on the bike," Vert urged, sweeping himself under her other arm and helping her onto Chopper. "we gotta move before more come."
Silver used her magic to melt the ice and free her knapsack. A groan escaped her throat as she slipped the straps on. Zoom glanced back at her to make sure she was ok, at least for the ride ahead of them. Chopper and Saber advanced and opened the portal. As they headed back home, Zoom noticed Silver's grip getting weaker.
He radioed headquarters. "Sage, tell Agura to get some bandages ready and maybe some painkillers," The moment he came to a stop in the hub, he slid off his bike and caught the girl from falling forward. Her breathing was normal, but she was clearly out of it. Agura ran up and helped slide the knapsack off her back.
"Hey, Agura," Silver smiled weakly. "good to see you again."
Agura quizzed the scout after looking over the bloodstains, the open wounds, and bruises on her neck. "the hell… what did she do this time?"
"Went up against Kyburi alone,"
"Hah, sounds like something you might have tried."
Vert laughed.
Zoom sighed, irritated. "I know."
"Ow," Silver winced as Agura quickly examined her head.
"She faced a red sentient by herself?" Tezz arrived to see who everyone kept being so vague about. "This is the guardian of… Faven? I expected her to be older."
Silver laughed quietly. "Who's this?"
"Not important right now," the huntress stopped her as she put an arm around to help her off Chopper. "Zoom, grab her bag, and put it in her room. I'll take her to the medical bay." She looked sternly at Vert on the way to the elevator. "Next time there's a mission on Faven, we're all going."
The blonde nodded in enthusiastic agreement and then handed the key to Sage.
"I agree with Agura," the sentient voiced, watching them disappear upstairs.
"I don't think anyone can dis Agura on that one," Spinner remarked. "you guys look like you took a beating."
"There were more than we expected," With a long exhale, Vert sunk into the chair at his desk.
As Zoom headed down the bedroom hall, Agura took Silver to the medical room. This time, the guardian put up much less of a fight as her friend carefully helped her maneuver her arms out of the sleeves and take the gray blood-stained tunic off, revealing a simple, brown haltered wrap bra. Agura pulled the curtain in case Silver wasn't comfortable with the guys walking in. Just as had been requested, the bandages and wound care supplies were ready, and she went to work.
"It looks like you're going to need stitches for a couple of these," she noted, dabbing away the dried blood. "probably some fluids too…" Then Agura noticed the redness all over Silver's abdomen and chest. "what happened here?" She asked, lightly grazing the skin, at which her patient instinctively backed away. A couple of blisters had started to form along the midline of her body.
"Kyburi's essence burned me,"
"But not your clothes?"
"I was in mermaid form,"
Agura shook her head and continued caring for the arms. "Girl, you need to stop going at it alone. You're worse than Zoom when we first started working together,"
"Haha, really?" Silver inhaled sharply as antiseptic was applied. "Ah – ow – damn that stings!"
"Sorry – and yes he was that reckless. Vert had more than one conversation with him." Agura dabbed some more antiseptic and Silver clenched her jaw. "Sorry…"
"It's fine… thanks for fixing me up."
"You're welcome, but let's not make a habit of it, cool?"
Silver chuckled quietly and nodded.
"Alright, hold still. I'm going to give you some numbing in a sec and then do the stitches for this one here."
"Stitches?"
"They're too deep, you need stitches to hold the skin together for it to heal properly,"
"Huh – this is new…"
"You're going to feel a pinch," Agura warned, holding the syringe over her skin.
As she stitched, she asked about Silver's head and figured that she had gotten a concussion. The door slid open and someone stepped in as the last knot was tied.
"She's almost done, Zoom," Agura announced.
"How'd you know it was me?" a young male voice asked.
"Lucky guess," she winked at Silver, who closed her eyes in disregard for anything that the huntress might assume. Agura finished up her care with treatment pads for the blisters and a lotion for the rest of the burned skin. Silver was about to carefully slip her tunic back on when Agura stopped her.
"That thing is filthy. Use this for now, I have a tee in my room you can borrow." Agura wrapped a blanket around her and pulled back the curtain, revealing Zoom patiently leaning against the wall in jogger sweatpants and a plain grey tank top revealing his toned upper body.
"Hey," he greeted her warmly. "how ya feeling?"
"It hurts but it's fine – nothing I can't handle," she clutched her blanket around her shoulders. "kind of thirsty, though,"
"She really needs fluids, Zoom, and ice for her head," Agura called over her shoulder as she left.
"Yeah, here," he reached down into a mini-fridge and brought out two bottles of water and an ice pack. Silver gulped down the first bottle and finished half of the second before using her magic to hover the ice pack against her head.
"So, who's the new guy?"
"Tezz? We found him destroying sark on a red sentient moon. He does some fancy things with magnets and electricity. Cool guy, but try not to feed his ego,"
"Someone else with an ego as big as Stanford?"
"Here," Agura returned holding a white tee shirt. "it's a cheap men's shirt, so don't worry about stains or whatever. Need anything else?"
"Thanks, Agura. No, I think I'll be good, I'd like to talk to Sage though,"
"She's down in the hub, I think the others will want to see you too. Good to have you back, girl. I'll leave you two to catch up," She smiled. "Zoom, help her if she needs anything...?"
The scout nodded and Agura left. Silver took another swig of water. It felt surreal being back here, or maybe that was just the blood loss…or the concussion. Silver let go of the ice, then slowly and stiffly wadded up the blanket and put it aside as the scout looked away. His cheeks heated up and he awkwardly pointed to the door.
"Should I… um – uh…" he mumbled, shifting his eyes to her and away again. Silver didn't seem bothered with how much skin she was showing, which was so opposite of Agura.
"You're fine. I don't know what you guys on earth find 'acceptable,' but I normally wear this and a sash for training."
"Oh, ok…" Zoom relaxed and walked over to fold the blanket to distract himself. It only took a moment before he gained enough confidence to look at her. Her wounds were worse than when she fought Krytus – groupings of stitches occupied her strong shoulders, and patches covered her abdomen with red skin peeking out from the edges. The redness continued up her chest and faded around her neck area. This wasn't covered in patches, but a clear cream had been slathered on. Burns?
Silver attempted to slowly lift her arms to get the tee-shirt on, but she winced and dropped them after reaching halfway, sucking air through her teeth. Damn… they ached and throbbed and stung all at the same time. The numbing had helped the cutaneous pain of the stitches, but underneath felt like nails were constantly jabbing through any movement.
"Need help?" he held out a hand. She begrudgingly gave him the shirt and he bundled it to fit it over her head. Thankfully, the tee was too big so there was wiggle room, and her arms didn't have to lift so high to fit through the holes, but he made sure to be as gentle and slow as possible. She tried to pull her long black hair out of the shirt, but again, she couldn't reach back without grimacing. Zoom came around, "I got it… hang on." She waited as he scooped up the locks, the characteristic silver streak contrasting the dark.
"You're putting up less of a fight this time," he teased, kindly tucking some behind her ear. He noticed a little dot of a piercing and then realized there were at least three or four along her cartilage. Zoom wondered why she didn't wear jewelry, then figured she just didn't have any – little chance earrings survived the war.
"Don't tempt me. I like to think I've learned some things since the last time I was here," she slowly scooted off the table. The tee looked more like a short dress. Cute, Zoom commented to himself as she re-buckled her sword on top.
"How long will it take to heal?"
"My shoulders might take a week, and the burns should only last a day or two,"
"Wow, that's fast. What happened exactly?"
Silver sighed and batted her eyelids, "I'd rather not talk about it right now unless you'rewilling to talk about the times you were reckless…?"
"Ha, what did Agura tell you?"
"That Vert had 'more than one conversation' with you,"
"Yeah… good times…" he muttered, muscular arms crossed.
Silver chuckled as she put the ice pack back in the fridge. "We can talk later. I need to see Sage."
"You good to walk?"
"I'm a little dizzy but I'll be fine,"
"You always say that," he remarked, and she ignored him. Zoom closely followed her out, watching for any signs of imbalance. The elevator dropped, and she seemed stable enough, so he made sure to give her space. The team would definitely notice if he was hovering like the protective prick he could be.
Sage smiled warmly and greeted the guardian as the rest of the team gathered to heartily welcome her back. Tezz stood off to the side, observing curiously. He still didn't understand what was so special about this girl. Her eyes were odd of course – no one's eyes had every color of the rainbow like hers.
Spinner smiled widely. "Welcome back, princess! It's nice to see you without the fish fins,"
"You're a sight for sore eyes," Stanford joked. "what's it like back on the homeworld?"
"Vert told us you have some weird trees there," Sherman chimed in.
"Yeah I guess we do – I'll tell you about it later." Silver grinned, then turned to the blue sentient. "I'd like to speak with you in private if that's ok?"
"Very well,"
The group dissipated, exchanging silent looks, and Sage led the guardian to the key vault upstairs.
"Welcome back, Guardian – now what was it you wanted to talk about?"
Silver started timidly, "I… wanted to ask your permission to stay and offer my services."
"You'd like to join the Battle Force 5?"
"I'd like to be an ally and a friend. I know we had a rough start and we had only just settled big differences before I left – but I thought about what you said, and the only way we both win is if Krytus is stopped."
"Do you trust me?" Sage questioned, more curious than worried.
"Do you trust me?" Silver asked back. They stared at each other for a moment. The guardian took a breath and held out her hand, palm forward. "This is what sentient's do, right? When friends reunite?"
Sage smiled and nodded.
"I'm sorry for threatening you when we first met… and I thank you for accepting me – my people as part of the balance. I want to move forward... The past still hurts for both of us, but if we want a future we need to fight together."
"Friends,"
"Friends," Silver agreed.
The sentient held her palm up against Silver's, and the millennia of animosity became a mere memory. This was the future. This was the alliance that changed the books, logs, scrolls – that changed the course of the future. Silver felt a weight she didn't know existed lifted from her heart. She had spent weeks thinking of this moment, what she would say to her long-ago enemy, and now, forgiveness healed a part of her she didn't know was broken.
"It is agreed then, you will stay here with the team. Vert had already spoken to me about this and they all wanted you to stay, but I'm glad we established our connection before moving forward."
"Thank you – me too," the guardian smiled.
"Let's return to the others, I'm sure they will be happy to hear the news."
This was an understatement. When Sage announced Silver would be staying, happy whoops and cheers loudly bounced off the underground walls. Tezz noticed that though they were excited to have her, no one did their normal 'pat on the back' or put a friendly arm around their new member. He could've sworn Zoom was going to hug her based on how elated his reaction was. Why do they keep their distance… Tezz quizzed. Maybe it was because of the hand she kept rested on the hilt of the blade strapped to her side. But they wouldn't invite anyone they couldn't trust…
"It's official guys," Vert smiled. "welcome to the team, Silver."
"I think celebratory 'ZA' is in order," Spinner waggled his eyebrows excitedly. "wouldn't you say, princess?"
"If you stop calling me that, I'm down to get whatever weird stuff you want,"
"What?" he whined. "It's a compliment!"
"Tezz, come over here I want to formally introduce you," Vert waved. The tall, skinny dude dressed all in black strode forward. His hair kept covering half of his thin face and bony structure, even with the other eye covered, Silver could sense a degree of seriousness the others did not have. The air around him was that of superiority, but why? She noticed the large glove on his right hand and wondered what it was for. "Tezz, this is Silver, Guardian of Faven – Silver, this is Tezz, our magnet genius."
"Hah – please, electromagnetism and mathematics,"he irritably added in his thick accent. "Volitov,"
"Mayali," she stated, staring into him with those mysterious eyes. "nice to meet you." Tezz felt like she was looking for something. It made his skin crawl a little, but he didn't show it, keeping his arms crossed.
"I would say the same except we don't know yet, do we?"
Silver scanned him up and down, then a small smirk crossed her face. "Fair."
"Alright, now that that's out of the way," their leader started, but Spinner cut him off.
"LET'S GET SOME FOOD!"
"Ok, ok," Vert laughed. "I was going to say get her geared up, but that works too,"
Silver broke her concentration on the new guy and looked at the blonde, confused. "Geared up?"
"Yeah, you know, get you a ride and shock suit,"
"That won't be necessary,"
Agura arched a brow. "If you don't want to end up with stitches again, you bet it's necessary."
"Can we talk about this some other time," Spinner groaned. "THERE'S A RUMBLE IN MY TUMMY."
Vert agreed to let it go so they could grab a bite. The guardian held back, a hand on her hip.
"We're going to Zeke's, aren't we?"
"YOU REMEMBERED!" Spinner exclaimed and his head popped out of Buster's hatch. "She's learning!"
"Yeah… are you sure about this?"
Agura looked at Silver. "Oh, I see what the problem is,"
"What?" the scout sidled up. "Get rid of the sword and she'll be fine. She looks human."
"Her eyes," Tezz interjected. "she'll attract too much attention."
"As if it could get any weirder in this small god-forsaken town," Stanford scoffed. "but just in case..." he pulled a pair of glasses from his glove compartment and handed them to the guardian. "try these."
Silver fumbled with them in her hands and made a face. "What are these?"
Zoom came to help. "You don't know what sunglasses glasses are?" He took them from her to open them up, then looked at the lenses and laughed. "Stanford, these look like they're straight out of The Matrix."
"It was a phase," the brit rolled his eyes. "dress her in all black and a trench coat. It suits her."
"I'm so lost," she remarked as she started unbuckling her sword.
"No, wait, keep that on," Stanford cajoled. "it completes the look."
Agura sniffed, waving him away. "Ignore him."
"Here," Zoom held them to her face of which she instinctively backed away. "they sit on your nose."
"I don't know about this,"
"Just try them,"
She carefully put them on and looked around. "It's darker. I don't like it. What's the normal use for these?"
"They're stylish," the brit piped.
"Normally they're supposed to keep the sun out of your eyes – dim the light so you can see better," Zoom corrected. "but these ones were just to make Stanford feel cool,"
"Why don't we just say she has fancy contact lenses?" Sherman suggested. A trail of 'Ooohhhhhhhh's left their mouths.
Agura shrugged. "Let's do that – that's easier."
Silver shrugged and re-positioned the glasses on top of her head like a natural, just in case they'd come in handy. "So, I'm riding with…"
The scout's mouth carved out an 'I' but Tezz raised his gloved hand. "You will ride with me,"
The guardian hesitated with a stern expression. I just met you…
"Please – I insist,"
Silver took a breath and followed him to Splitwire, a bronze-bodied car with blue highlights and flashy rims. The butterfly door popped open and she took a seat. Agura and the rest of the team exchanged hidden looks as they got in their rides.
"That was unusually friendly of him…" the huntress commented quietly. Zoom shoved on his helmet. He felt… annoyed, but he wasn't sure why. It's fine – it doesn't bother me. She can ride with whoever. She's a friend…why do I have to convince myself it's no big deal?
You like her riding with you.
Yeah, so what? I'm cool.
You like her arms around you…
OK, that's enough. I'm hungry.
[[[Author's note: Thank you all for your love, support, and patience as I build the relationship between the characters and release it chapter by chapter. I've been gaining more confidence in my writing thanks to you all. Please continue your commentary, as it helps me see what you see, and helps me fix errors such as Tezz's name. Super sorry about that. I don't know how I missed something so simple.
On another note: my thoughts were to combine all the stories of Silver and the team into chronological order into one story so it's easier for someone to follow along from beginning of meeting her to the end. Ugh I want to give spoilers on my thoughts for the finale but can't. Silver still has a long way to go and I have so many plans. IF you would like all the stories of The Guardian of Faven combined into one and make it the continuing 'book', type YES in the comments and I'll plan a time for the transfer of all the files into the making of a very large, single, continuous story. There would be minor edits, such as spelling or grammar I might have missed *cough* fix Tezz's name*, but it would start with "Gladiator's Twisted," then "Ascent of the Red Sentients Twisted," then "Battleship 5 Twisted," and then this story: "Ophelia's Reach." And again, that is the chronological order of the series.Let me know your thoughts!
Thank you all so much! Hope you're all healthy and doing well during these crazy times 3]]]
