Ullu was seen sitting on a tree branch as Orum and the Night Pride were seen doing their patrol as it was almost night.
"Oh, no! Help!" Granny Ginterbong's cried out.
"That sounds like Granny Ginterbong." Nirmala said.
"Ullu, can you tell where she is?" Orum asked the white owl.
"Help me! Help me!" Granny Ginterbong's voice cried out.
"Sounds like it's coming from Cisco River." Ullu said after some hoots.
"That's way on the other side of the Tree of Life." Surak said.
"How did the bad guys get past us?" Baliyo asked.
"I don't know, but we need to stop them," Rani said before looking at Orum and Ullu. "Orum, Ullu, go find the Lion Guard and ask them to meet us at the river."
"That's what we'll do!" Ullu and Kopa nodded before they dashed off to do just that.
"With strength and respect..." Rani began.
"Night Pride protect!" The others finished before they sprung into action.
"I hope they aren't asleep." Orum said to Ullu as they went off together for the Lion Guard.
"Ha! The Night Pride felt for it. Let's go." Makucha smirked at the others before they came after the Night Pride.
"Revenge is delicious, is it not?" Dakarai chuckled at his little helpers.
"Yes, it is." Akata smirked.
"But not just yet," Dakarai smirked back. "Like I said while they go with this failure of a plan we'll be waiting outside."
"Oh, right," Akata said. "You sure are being patient."
"Good things come to those who wait." Dakarai smirked as Makucha, Ora, and Chuluun went in.
Akata and Abrafo nodded at Dakarai.
"Kion. Lion Guard. Wake up!" Ullu called out before hooting as the Lion Guard was shown to be asleep.
"Rani needs your help." Orum added.
"What? Ullu? Orum?" Kion asked wearily as he woke up. "What's going on?"
"It's Granny Ginterbong," Orum explained. "She's being attacked by the icy river."
"Oh, no!" Behste gasped.
"Anga?" Kion called to the female bird.
"On it." Anga nodded as she soon flew up and began to use her super eyesight to look for the elderly animal.
"Help! Chuluun is attacking me!" Granny Ginterbong soon called out as she dangled from a tree branch and where it looked like she was alone which confused Anga as she flew down to the others.
"She's hanging from a branch, but I don't see any bad guys." Anga told them.
"If there's snow Chuluun could be hiding in it." Fuli said.
"Follow me!" Ullu hooted as she led the way.
Orum also led the way, but a certain bird stayed behind as he felt suspicious.
"Wait a tick. How does Granny Ginterbong know Chuluun's name?" Ono asked himself before he thought about it until it hit him as he flew out to his friends. "Nawaza, nawaza, nawaza... Hapana! Everyone. Everyone! Stop! This is a trick!"
"Ono?" Kion asked. "What do you mean?"
"Granny Ginterbong isn't who she says she is. Listen," Ono explained. "I've never heard of a ginterbong. I've seen her climbing and walking without a limp, she scared off a pika and stole his Tuliza, and she knows Chuluun's name! I think she must be working with Chuluun and Makucha and Ora."
Anga soon flew up and looked where Chuluun, Makucha, and Ora were and saw them making their way to the Tree of Life. "Ono's right. They're headed for the Tree of Life." she then said as she flew back down to the others.
"Smart. Good insight, Ono." Kion said to his egret friend.
"Ullu, we have to go tell Rani that Granny Ginterbong is just a decoy." Orum told the white owl.
"Sounds good, Orum." Ullu nodded in agreement.
"Lion Guard, with me!" Kion told his friends before they split up.
Meanwhile, the predators were closer and closer to the tree.
"I have never met a Queen." Ora grinned darkly.
"Then you better say hello fast." Chuluun suggested.
"And then say goodbye." Makucha added with a dark chuckle.
"Stop right there, Makucha!" Kion's voice glared.
Kion and The Lion Guard soon appeared before the predators.
"Did you really think you could fool us?" Fuli smirked.
"Not us, it was the old lady's idea." Ora told them.
"Well, here's my idea: get out!" Kion glared at the predators.
And so, a big fight broke out as Fuli ran in and tackled Chuluun down to the ground.
"Twende Kiboko!" Behste called out before he soon charged toward Ora.
Ora hissed before Ono poked his head and Behste then charged right at the Komodo Dragon.
"Forget it. The plan's ruined," Makucha told his fellow predators. "Let's get outta here."
"Wait for us!" Ora called out as he slithered beside Chuluun.
"Yeah!" Chuluun added.
The Lion Guard smirked as they watched the predators run away as they had won another round.
"What's taking them so long?" Granny Ginterbong asked herself before calling out. "Old lady in trouble here!"
Bunga's laughter was soon heard. Granny Ginterbong soon looked over to where the young honey badger's laughter was heard to see him having a snowball fight with Binga and where soon the elderly animal got down from the tree and made her way over to Bunga. Bunga laughed as he and Binga had a lot of fun with their snowball fight.
"So... We meet again, Mr. Bunga." Granny Ginterbong grinned as she appeared right behind the young male honey badger.
"Mama Binturong?" Bunga asked the elderly female animal, revealing her true name.
"You destroyed my Tuliza, but now I'm gonna get you and your little friend, too." Granny Ginterbong glared and she soon charged toward the young honey badger.
"Zuka Zama!" Bunga called out as he charged back at her.
The two soon ran into each other, though Bunga, despite being younger, proved to be stronger and she went flying back into the snow.
"Bunga!" Binga beamed at her new friend. "You're Binga-credible!"
"I thought I was un-Bunga-lievable." Bunga smiled bashfully.
"Night Pride! Over here!" Rani's voice called out.
Rani, Nirmala, Surak, and Baliyo soon arrived at the scene.
"Night Pride! Oh!" Granny Ginterbong exclaimed dramatically before pointing to Bunga and Binga. "Those honey badgers, they attacked me."
"Say what?" Bunga asked.
"She attacked us!" Binga defended.
Granny Ginterbong seemed to smirk at the two honey badgers before running off, but she forgot something very important.
"Curious. She's no longer limping." Surak remarked.
"Guys," Orum said as he came back with Ullu. "That ginterbong isn't who she says she is!"
"She's not a ginterbong. She's a binturong," Bunga explained like it was obvious. "Common knowledge, really."
"...If you say so." Orum shrugged.
"Night Pride, we need to make sure she leaves the Tree of Life." Rani told Baliyo, Nirmala, Surak, and Orum.
"We got something I know will get rid of her," Bunga said before looking over to Binga. "Come on, Binga."
The two honey badgers soon went after Mama Binturong.
"Curious. I wonder what that is?" Surak said, wondering what Bunga had in mind.
"I think I know." Baliyo smiled.
"Same here." Orum smiled as there was only one thing that could send any animal running from a honey badger.
The two honey badgers soon caught up to Granny Ginterbong and they both farted everywhere.
"NO! NOT AGAIN!" Granny Ginterbong cried out in disgust and misfortune.
"I think that's a worse punishment than exile." Orum smirked.
The rest of the Night Pride laughed at that before they went back to reunite with Kion and the Lion Guard.
"Ono? Ullu says you're the one who figured out Mama Binturong's plan." Rani said to the egret.
"Yes. My vision may not be what it was, but I still want to help." Ono nodded with a smile.
"You definitely helped. Thank you." Rani smiled back.
"Rani's right. Ono, even if you're not the keenest of sight you are the keenest of insight." Kion smiled at his egret friend.
Ono soon looked at his Lion Guard before smiling at his friends.
"And you'll always be part of the Lion Guard no matter what." Kion continued as he smiled fondly.
"Aww..." Orum smiled.
"It's gonna be great to fly around and look around again!" Ono beamed. "I really missed this."
"I can imagine." Rani nodded.
Meanwhile, back with the predators, Mama Binturong, Dakarai, Akata, and Abrafo...
"So then your plan failed?" Dakarai smirked at Mama Binturong and the predators.
"Those disgusting honey badgers always know how to foil me." Mama Binturong complained.
"Pathetic!" Dakarai laughed.
"Almost as pathetic as getting beaten by a mere lion cub?" Mama Binturong retorted with a smirk.
"Where do you think I got this?!" Dakarai glared as he pointed to his scar.
"One lion cub did that?" Makucha asked.
"Yes, he's more than just a mere lion cub," Dakarai glared. "I'll never forget that lion cub, especially with those many scars he has."
"Wait, did you say this lion cub had scars?" Ora asked.
"Yes," Dakarai defended. "Surprised he was able to survive them, but that could be thanks to the Tree of Life."
"Hmm... Interesting..." Ora smirked at the cub's description. "And he has golden fur too, right?"
"Yes..." Dakarai nodded. "Not sure why the Night Pride has a cub like that around... I know he's nothing but an ill-mattered troublemaker, even if he tried to get in the way of me killing some old enemies."
"He sounds like Kion." Makucha said.
"Does he have a brown mane?" Abrafo asked. "Because the last time we saw that troublesome cub was years ago."
"No more like two-tone red," Chuluun said. "But we have seen a lion part of the Night Pride. And come to think of it they kinda look alike."
Dakarai paused to think before snarling. "That Night Pride cub... It has to be him!"
"You think so?" Abrafo asked the black-furred lion.
"It has to be," Dakarai narrowed his eyes. "This is too rich and perfect to be a mere coincidence."
"So then looks like we'll be working together." Makucha smirked.
"Looks like it." Dakarai said.
"Perhaps this interaction won't be a waste of time," Makucha smirked. "We have similar goals... That is, if you're willing to work together with other animals."
"I suppose I could for this one time and I doubt my friends here have any objections," Dakarai said, deciding without asking for their consent. "Shouldn't be a problem."
"Don't we get a say in this?" Abrafo asked only to get nudged by Akata to shut up.
"Alright, then we're working together." Makucha smirked.
"And I am sure that this is going to work perfectly." Dakarai smirked back.
The dark predators all shared a laugh together which was going to be quite the story.
