"Goooood Morning Adventure County, its finally day everyone has been waiting for ever since it was first established, The County Race will official start today, however due to the recent thunderstorm last night it will be delayed by a bit to clean up the debris" As so shouted the radio hosted that broadcasted across the county. Elena sat back in her seat, listening to the host surrounded by all her friends, eating the breakfast she and Valkyrie collaborated on.

"Sounds like we have a bit more time to kill before we go down and see the race, You guys are gonna love it, I promise" Elena stated slicing into her pancakes just as Valkyrie nudged into her, whispering a statement into the German Shepherd's ear as both the females couldn't contain themselves as started giggling, taking notice from across the table as Skye and Tracker sat there eyeing the two.

"Hey Skye, Have you noticed Elena and Valkyrie recently have been more…friendly since we've been here?" Tracker asked turning to the Cockapoo. "Mhm, I think its wonderful, But you say that like it's a bad thing" Skye replied as Tracker was taken back a bit by the assumption that he was someone how against Elena and Valkyrie's new found friendship.

"Oh no, I don't see any problems here, I was just thinking of how Chase might react to this, He'll have to be a third wheel with Elena around now" Tracker pleasantly stated scooping a fork full of pancakes into his mouth, as if on que. The German Shepherd previously asleep came walking down the hallway, rubbing eyes and yawning until he came within eyesight of everyone at the table.

"Oh, Good morning Chase, Cmon and sit with us" Elena said motioning toward an empty seat at one end of the table.

"Slept like a pup last night, Rain was real calming despite all the thunder" he said gently pillaging the kitchen cabinets for his coffee ingredients.

"I bet, You can sleep through a nuclear explosion sometimes" Valkyrie pointed out letting the others laugh in unison, Chase even smiling before looking at both the Saluki he knew as his wife and the Black German Shepherd he had recalled her having a feud with.

"I can see you two are getting along too" Chase said setting down the kettle on the counter and leaning against the kitchen top at the two.

"At this rate we'll be best friends by the end of the week, and all it took was a really traumatizing reflection of my childhood" Elena stated, making everyone stop in their tracks as the German Shepherd said that so suddenly.

"What?"

"Ummm, anything you want to talk about with us Elena, we're here to listen" Tracker asked, looking over at her as if she was still holding her feelings deep inside, however it was the opposite.

"Nope, I'm feel…fine, Huh, That's weird. Usually when I bring it up, I feel all sad and angry and a bit self-destructive, Now I just don't feel anything"

"Its because you already expressed how you felt down in the basement, it's been bottling up so much that when you let it all out, there's no guilt" Valkyrie said wrapping her paws around the German shepherd who started to grow a smile.

"Wait, Basement, What are did I miss here?" Chase asked, no context whatsoever to the German Shepherd as he was left flustered at the mention of a basement of all things. "I'll explain later Chase, but anyways, If you don't feel as bad about your past, How about telling some more of it?" Valkyrie suggested.

"R-Really, You all want to hear m-me, about my past?" She asked looking around for everyone else's reaction to the story telling suggestion, all replying with silent nods. "Of course, Even though you're one tough girl, Its never a bad idea to talk about how you feel who with people who care about you" Tracker said.

"Well okay, As I got older my parents got more and more hostile towards one another, Always shouting about one thing to another. About in my High School days it was sort of the worst days of my life, but also the best, because that's when I found out my true calling all along" Elena stated raising her head above high, reflecting on her past once more for the whole room to hear.

A Fairly Bland High School with nothing out of the ordinary, Adolescent canines in the hallways brushing past one another trying to get by or get to the other end of the hallway to enjoy what little leisure they had left for the time being. In the hallways sure as sunlight was Elena, obviously younger as she was seen placing various items inside her personal locker.

"Hey Elena, Can I borrow 20 bucks?" Elena heard, turning around to see a German Shepherd just like her but with a different tone of fur. "Really Marco, You know I'm not allowed to give you money, I already have people throwing themselves at my paws for money all the time" She stated.

"Please Elena, You're parents are practically wiping their asses with 100 dollar bills, Please" He pleaded, fulfilling the prophecy that Elena stated as he threw himself to the ground, grabbing the attention of another around, someone people not giving a damn but some people do.

Elena instead not to feed this behaviour of begging and pandering and instead walking over the Canine to somewhere else. "Pssst Elena" The German Shepherd, turning her head from left to right to try and spot where and who called out her name. Looking all over to see a familiar face to her, A Irish Setter, shaking and holding set of books whilst tucked away in a corner.

"Need something Marco?"

"A-Are your parents around?" He frighteningly asked peaking his head out and swaying it from left to right down the hallways, making Elena a bit concerned. "Marco, they wouldn't be in this hallway if I had a stroke and was laying on the ground, Why ask?"

"Th-The Principal w-wants to see you, I'm really scared of your mom, She screams a lot" The Canine said as he suddenly lost grip of his books and one by one they all fell onto the ground. "Ah geez" He uttered as he bent down to collect them.

"Yeah I'm sorry about my mom, She doesn't like it when I hang out with 'non-German shepherds'" Elena said, scratching the back of he's paws in awkwardness knowing full well that no one in her family would take kindly to her being buddies with a non-German shepherd breed.

All of a sudden, a small slip flew out from the Irish Setter's book and onto the floor, right in front of Elena. The German Shepherd eyed the piece of paper which at closer inspection looked like some sort of pamphlet. "Huh, What's this?" She asked, picking it up and opening it.

Looking at the contents to see it was recruiting pamphlet for Law Enforcement, but not just any Police Agency, it was none other than for the Adventure County Sheriff's Department. "Huh, I didn't know you were into Policing Marco" She stated holding up the recruiting paper.

"Oh n-no, someone just gave it to me outside the school, I-I didn't want to be rude, so I just took it" He stuttered to get out of his mouth as he shoved each of his books into his bag, one by one. "Oh, Mind if I keep this?" Elena asked.

"Go Ahead, I-I'm late for m-my class, Goodbye" he said he struggled to back on his feet with the all the new weight on his back from the books he was now forcing himself to bear. Stumbling off leaving Elena with the Pamphlet now in her possession. Of course, remembering the first her dear frightful friend told her about meeting with the head of the school.

Stepping up walking off to the direction of the principal's office, within moments reaching there and knocking on the door to make her presence known. "Come in!" was all that shouted back as Elena slowly opened the door to see the principal, laying back in his swivel chair tapping his pen profusely against the hardwood of his desk.

"Ah Elena, I need to tell you about something"

"Am I in trouble?" Elena asked.

"Oh no like that, I've called you just to explain a few things to you. I got off the phone with your mother and she requests that I halt your current subjects and place you on some new ones" He said so calmly, gaining a not so calm response back from the German Shepherd.

"W-What, B-But I like my subjects, I picked them out back in the 7th Grade, she promised I could keep doing them"

"I'm sorry Elena, but maybe you can talk more about that with her later, maybe there's been a misunderstanding" The Principal suggested only to see the Black German Shepherd slouch back in her seat, clearing not wanting to listen to any more of what he had to say or what her mother 'suggested'.

"I don't get it, your mother explained that you'd be much more interested in Drama than Physical Education" The Principal suggested riffling through his desk drawers to find some sort of record regarding his claim, making Elena's ears perk as such a ludicrous claim to her interests.

"What, I never said that, I'd never, I love PE, I'm ranking one of the best in my class for it" Elena stated, hoping and begging that there must have been some sort of mistake, but in the back of her head knowing all too well of why her mother would make up such a thing.

"Please, Its not true, I want to continue doing all the other subjects everyone else does, Their the standard requirements for just about every job on this planet" She said as the Principal sighed in a defeated expression, left up to his own thoughts about the situation at hand. "Alright Elena, I'll look more into this, You can go" He said motioning that the German Shepherd was free to leave, until looking back up to Elena not even move an inch.

"Before I go, Can you print out all my Exam Results and Grades later before I leave school?" Elena asked, being such a weird request for the principal to carry out. "Why?" he asked. The Black German Shepherd not saying a word, instead reaching around into her backpack to pull out the Pamphlet from earlier that she claimed from her friend in the halls.

Passing it along to the principal for him to closely inspect it, upon further investigation now knowing why she wanted those grades and results printed. "Elena, Are you sure this is what you want, I'm not even sure your parents would even approve of this line of work" He said, slowly folding the pamphlet and placing it on his desk.

"I am sure, and they wont accept any other Job, Its only Runway Model or Fashion Entrepreneur with them, I want to help people, actually do something in the world rather be like everyone that has the same wealth I have, Sitting somewhere sipping stupid fine wines and in stupid thousand dollars dresses and suits, I want to wear the badge, I want to save someone from a burning car, I want to put criminals behind bars, That's who I wanna be" Elena said so proudly, leaving the Principal utterly stumped as he clasped his hands together and dug his head down, debating in his head over what he should actually do in that moment.

However, His decision was made quick as he slowly moved the pamphlet back over to the German Shepherd. "God bless you Elena, not a lot of people are willing to do such a selfless thing like this, I'll see to it that your School Transcripts are printed so you can collect them before you leave school" he said, making Elena absolutely elated and over well with Joy.

"Thank you so much Mr. Principal"

"You're welcome Elena" He said as Elena shot herself out of seat to turn around and exit the Principal's Office, her head already thinking about the future that awaited her.

Late in the Night, Teenage Elena already planning out her future, sitting at her own desk putting pen to paper, just another lose end she intends to tie up before sending off her grades for evaluation. The Hard copy files of her grades sitting right there next to her along with the same Sheriff's Department Pamphlet that made her rethink her life and the path of her future.

"And I'm just about…. Almost…. Done!" She said finally as she leaped up from the chair holding her own document, formally written and soon formally about to be sent off to be reviewed. "Miss Elena!" A Voice suddenly cried out for behind the black German Shepherd's door. Elena's ears perked up and her body shook like a personal earthquake rocked her.

"Come in!" She shouted back, giving the permission to see one of her family caretakers, slightly peaking showing his head and not the rest of his body. "Miss Elena, Your Mother requests you at the Penthouse Top" He said.

"Ughh, Tell her I'll be there in a moment" She replied to see the caretaker leave almost immediately as he received the response. Elena rolled her eyes as she looked out into the night sky. Elena sighed knowing that not answering the call to go when her mother called was something she was taught from birth to never disobey.

After a few groans and moans to herself, Elena pulled the strength to answer the call and bring herself up to the Penthouse Roof, Opening the luxurious French doors to the top to see a whole pack of Black German Shepherds, all fancy to the bone sipping their expensive drinks and hanging around with very important people. Orange and White lights across the walls with personal waiters carrying a full plate of whatever someone wanted to eat that night.

Elena threw herself into the middle of it, frustratingly looking for her mother just to see what was up as to why she was suddenly needed. "Oh there she is, Elena my sweet, Over here!" Elena suddenly heard her mother's voice, looking around to see her waving for her daughter's attention, seen sitting with another group of Black German Shepherds. Elena making, he way to her, dodging out of the way party members and staff.

"Oooh I must admit she is a very nice young lady, You look just like your mother" One of the German Shepherds commented, holding his glass high before taking a sip, making Elena as uncomfortable as one could get. "I'd never lie to you , Elena, Come and take a seat next to mother" She offered, making it seem like a request only for it really to be an order.

"Do I have to?" Elena responded to the surprised of the whole group of German Shepherds in front of her, some looked wide eyed with other spitting back their drinks into their glasses as the small push of defiance in front of them. "Elena, Do NOT talk back to me like this, Give me the answer I want to hear" She firmly ordered.

"You really want the answer huh, Okay, I'll sit next to you the day you admit you've been nothing but a terrible mother, trying to control me ever since I was a pup and make me into some sort of image of what you are. Well I'm going to tell you this, I'd rather die than become you, or become something closely resembling you" Elena finally said, after all her years as a pup until the final remaining days in High School, She was really done.

The other German Shepherds sat in shock looking back and forth between the daughter and mother for both their reactions. "H-How dare you!" She said, growling at the young lady.

"I've been holding this in for so many years, So right now, Infront of all these people, I know is the time to truly say how I feel about you" were Elena's last word to her mother, putting the final nail in the coffin. Making the female parent shaken as she slowly stood up front of the group she previously tried to impress.

"Elena Rosemonde…Your Room…Now" was all that was said as she grabbed Elena by her ear and pulled her away from the crowd, downstairs from the roof and back into her personal room to have a 'chat' about her words and actions.

Pulling her into the room throwing her into the center, making Elena lose her balance and fall to the ground. Slowly shutting the door behind her to face her daughter. "Listen her Missy, I've allowed you to get away with a lot during your many years on God forsaken Earth, Trust me, I've held back on a lot of what I've done. However, making me look a fool in front of all those people…That is where I draw the line"

"Bullshit, You always berated be for every little thing I've ever done, Even when I was a pup. Sure, you never hit me, but your words meant something. You have no idea how it feels to hear your mother, the person that birthed you, raised and you a fed you to act like such a…such a…. Heartless Bitch!" She shouted, so much so that probably the people on the Roof could hear her.

"Elena, If only you could have seen what future I was trying to prepare you for"

"You didn't prepare me for anything!" Elena shouted once more, throwing her paws across her desk in frustration, sweeping off anything that was on the desk first off, anything from pencils to pens, small paper weights to books, and even documents. A certain line of documents that were meant to be kept secret. The Items crashed onto the floor right in front of Elena's mother. Slowly eyeing the pieces of paper across the floor but seeing one that picked up her curiosity.

A Small, Thinn, Brown and Beige piece of paper, It was the Pamphlet. Elena gasped as she saw her mother look at the advertisement slip that she wasn't supposed to know about. "So…This is your Future huh, This is what you want to strive for, Some dusty cop working around a worthless plot of land with nothing but dirty farms and forest backwater, Is that it?!"

"Yes, Yes it is something I want, and I'll never be able to talk me out of it" Elena shouted back, suddenly seeing her room's door spring open, inward came her Father with a drink in hand, coming in with a curious but concerned look on his face. "What happened, what's going on?" He asked.

"Apparently, Our Daughter has other plans" She said handing over the Pamphlet to her spouse, letting him eye it for one moment only to look back at his daughter for a second opinion. "Elena, Is this true?"

"Yes Dad, Its finally time that I get to do what I want to do with my life, Not be bossed around anymore" The Teenage Youth said, planting her paw down right in front of her mother and father. "I-I cant say I approve"

"I'm sorry Dad, But its final for me, All I have to do is send my School Transcripts to the Sheriff's Department for admission and-" Elena explained before seeing her mother hold up familiar documents. "You wont be sending anything Elena" Her mother said, holding up the Printed Documents in front of her, turning them sideways before pulling one side front and one side back, effectively starting to tear it.

Elena screamed out "NO!" as she leapt forward grabbing onto her mother and tugging her back and forth in a war for the strip of paper. Eventually and successfully, regaining the single document with only a slight tear, but also slamming her own mother into the wall.

Brushing the back of her head and her Spouse came to her aid, Elena stepped back as she saw what she had done, She didn't want to physically harm her mother, only prove a point. "Wait no, Im so sorry, I didn't mean to do that" said, taking further steps back. Seeing her mother lift her head once more up to her offspring.

"You really are a disgrace"
