Meanwhile with Nirmala, Kopa, and Kion...

"Kopa, you should let others help you if they offer it," Nirmala reminded Kopa as they spoke alone together before they would take Kion to the next place in this jungle. "You let your anger and hostility get the best of you, though I'm proud of you of what you did to Dakarai, Abrafo, and Akata."

"I'm sorry, Nirmala, I guess I got a little carried away," Kopa replied. "I remember hearing stories about Tiran the Tyrannical Lion who used to do the same thing."

"Yes, but I think the reason you let your anger and hostility get the best of you," Nirmala told him. "This time is because of the lack of sleep."

"Yeah, we were up all night on that night patrol." Kopa yawned a bit.

"Yes, I'm sure," Nirmala nodded. "Now, let's go and see Kion."

"Right." Kopa agreed as they soon went to go see Kion.

"Sorry about the delay, but the two of us had to have a little talk." Nirmala said to Kion.

"That's okay," Kion replied. "I'm ready for anything. So what're we doing today?" he then asked.

"This is Pratibimba: The Lake of Reflection," Nirmala informed as they looked into the body of water. "Look in the water. What do you see?" she then asked with a small smile.

Kion stared at his reflection before splashing it away in disgust because of the scar on his face. "Ugh! My scar. I can't wait 'til it's healed and gone." he then complained.

"Kion, what if the scar never goes away?" Kopa asked his younger brother.

"But that's the whole reason I'm here to heal my scar," Kion told him. "So I can be my old self again."

"That scar doesn't make you who you are, Kion." Nirmala advised.

Kopa nodded with a smile. "What Nirmala means is that the scar is only skin deep." he then explained to Kion.

"There's much more inside you," Nirmala added before yawning. "You just need to remember that."

"Just like you need to remember to sleep." Kopa advised Nirmala.

"Yes and for you to remember to keep your anger and hostility in check." Nirmala advised back.

"Right. Right." Kopa nodded.

"What?" Kion asked the lioness. "Aren't you gonna stay here and help me?"

"I've done everything I can do, Kion," Nirmala replied as she went to leave. "To complete your healing, you need to look inside yourself."

"Look inside myself?" Kion asked, a little confused.

"Yes, reflect about what you've done and what you have yet to do." Nirmala nodded.

"And that means before and after you got the Roar of the Elders." Kopa told his younger brother.

"Before then?" Kion asked.

"Oh, yes," Kopa nodded. "You have to look deep within yourself, especially from within here." he then added as he put his paw against Kion's chest to touch his heart.

"I'll try," Kion sighed. "I feel like this won't be as easy as it sounds."

"It never is especially when it comes to keeping anger and hostility in check." Kopa said.

"I don't think I've seen you that angry before." Kion replied.

"Let's just say I'm sick and tired of Dakarai," Kopa narrowed his eyes. "Especially when he did something I regret the most."

"You mean what happened to Rani and Baliyo's parents?" Kion asked.

"Yeah." Kopa nodded.

"I'm sorry to hear that." Kion said.

"It's okay," Kopa replied. "It's just part of the Circle of Life, though I just wish I could've been older and they'd probably still be here."

"Yeah, but there's nothing we can do to change the past." Kion said.

"Yeah, that's true." Kopa nodded.

"The past can hurt though." Kion replied.

"I know that all too well." Kopa said wistfully.

Meanwhile...

"Listen, we have the perfect opportunity," Mama Binturong soon began to tell the other predators about what was going on. "Rani's royal duties are distracting her from leading the Night Pride. And Kion doesn't wanna lead the Lion Guard because he's afraid to use the Roar."

"We should attack now." Ora smirked.

"Not yet, there's more," Mama Binturong smirked back. "The Night Pride defends the Tree of Life at night and The Lion Guard will be on duty during the day."

"So there's no good time to attack?" Chuluun asked.

"Wrong! We strike at the end of the shift when they're tired and before the new patrol is on duty," Mama Binturong smirked. "Sunset, that's when we'll attack."

"That is a perfect plan, except you forget Kopa is strong and fast," Akata said. "He was able to handle the three of us and I highly doubt he'll be overpowered with that anger of his."

The predators soon looked over.

"That's right, we survived our trip down the river." Akata replied as the predators looked surprised.

"That Kopa cub might be strong enough to keep me away for a little bit, but he'll never be rid of me, especially with one of the biggest tragedies of his lifetime that'll haunt him forever." Dakarai grinned.

"Oh, and what might that be?" Mama Binturong asked with a smirk.

"The death of Rani's parents." Abrafo smirked back.

"That was you?" Mama Binturong asked.

"Of course," Dakarai smirked. "I've planned that move for years and finally, it was the right time and not even 'Little Orum' could stop me then."

"How fiendish!" Mama Binturong grinned. "I envy your excellence in the game of hunt."

"You should be." Dakarai smirked.

"So how does what you did back then help us today?" Makucha asked Dakarai.

"Kopa's anger will ruin him someday, especially against me," Dakarai replied. "It won't be long until he does something that deeply upsets the Night Pride and they make him feel like running away."

"Oh, like what? Kill someone without meaning to?" Makucha asked.

"Ooh, that sounds perfect," Akata smirked before facing Dakarai. "Right?"

"Oh, but of course it does," Dakarai replied. "It's my ultimate goal to take care of that Lion Prince, especially with Zira's help."

"Yeah, but she's focused on taking over the Pridelands." Abrafo said.

"Yeah, so she's not going to be of any help." Makucha replied.

"She'll remember her main target when he has nowhere else to go though," Dakarai reminded. "Kopa will feel like he doesn't belong anywhere and he'll just give up on life entirely after he 'scares' us away. We do our job and you do yours."

"Right." Makucha nodded.

"This is going to be perfect." Mama Binturong smirked.

"It'll be great for all of us," Dakarai smirked back. "Now you know what to do for your part."

"Right!" Mama Binturong replied.

Meanwhile, Anga and Ono soon flew over to the rest of the Lion Guard.

"Trouble." Anga warned them.

"Is it Mama Binturong?" Bunga glared as he looked ready to fight. "Back already?"

"This is my bamboo!" One voice cried out.

"I was here first!" Another voice retorted.

"That doesn't sound like Mama." Ono remarked.

This caused Bunga to sigh as he wanted to fight off Mama Binturong.

"We still need to check it out." Fuli said.

The Lion Guard soon took off before seeing a gentle lemur trying to push a giant panda.

"You really think you're going to push me out of here?" The female panda bear asked, unimpressed with the male lemur.

"No. I think we're gonna push you out of here," The lemur smirked as he showed his own troop of lemurs from behind the bamboo. "Come on, fellas!"

The lemurs soon went to try to push and shove against the panda bear.

"Oh, really, guys?" The panda bear scoffed as that still didn't move her.

"Whoa, whoa, whoa," Fuli said as she soon came over. "Everyone calm down."

The troop of lemurs looked at her and just kept doing what they were doing.

"I said, 'CALM DOWN'!" Fuli repeated sharply.

The troop of lemurs soon whined and then climbed off of the panda bear.

"And who are you?" The female panda bear asked the cheetah.

"I'm Fuli, we are The Lion Guard." Fuli introduced.

"But you're not lions." The lemur said to the group of animals.

"Yeah. We get that a lot." Bunga rolled his eyes.

"Oh, you're a giant panda," Ono said as he noticed the animals that they were helping. "And, you guys are gentle lemurs."

"Not so gentle when bamboo's at stake." The lemur troop leader scoffed.

"Um, I'm sure we can work this out," Behste replied. "My name is Beshte. Who are you?"

"I am Heng-Heng and this is my favorite bamboo stand." The panda bear introduced herself.

"I'm Kely and it's our favorite bamboo stand too." The lemur troop leader added.

"Can't you just come back later?" Fuli suggested to the panda bear.

"Uh, no. Pandas have very specific requirements for when we need to eat," Heng-Heng explained. "Morning, afternoon, and the middle of the night."

"Uh, should we just continue our patrol? And let them fight it out?" Anga asked Fuli.

"I don't think Rani would like that," Fuli replied to Anga. "So we'll take them to Rani. She's the queen, she'll know what to do."

"Right, I'll find her." Anga said as she flew off.

"All right, everyone, let's go," Fuli soon told the panda bear and the troop of lemurs. "We're gonna go see the Queen. Now."

And at that, the Lion Guard soon took off to find Rani. Kion was shown to be staring into the water as he wasn't sure what to do.

"Kion?" Rani asked, startling Kopa was he suddenly woke up. "This is your therapy?"

"I'm awake! I'm awake!" Kopa gasped.

Rani smirked playfully at him before Kopa looked bashful.

"Well, yeah," Kion smiled bashfully at Rani. "At least there aren't any tree frogs jumping on me."

"I didn't mean to interrupt." Rani replied.

"It's okay, I've just been reflecting and thinking, and I could use a break." Kion said before he walked off with Rani.

"What have you been thinking about?" Rani asked him.

Kopa watched the two go before he smirked as he sensed something between Kion and Rani.

"My scar. Nirmala says it might not ever be totally healed, but if it never heals, I might not be able to use the Roar again," Kion explained to Rani. "And without the Roar, I don't know if I can lead the Lion Guard."

"Do you really need the Roar?" Rani remarked. "My grandmother said you were supposed to come here. That the Roar was destined to return. Maybe she meant the Roar should stay here even if you leave."

"You're saying I should give up the Roar?" Kion's eyes widened. "Leave it behind?"

"This way!" Anga's voice suddenly cried out.

"Just you wait, she's going to say it's my bamboo." Heng-Heng told the gentle lemurs on her back as she walked over to Rani with The Lion Guard by her side.

"Oh, no, she won't!" Kely replied back.

"Fuli? Kely, Heng-Heng, what's going on?" Rani asked before looking at the gentle lemurs. "Lemurs, get off of her."

The lemurs soon moved themselves on Rani's command since she was the queen.

"Queen Rani, well it's just that Kely and all his friends were hogging the best bamboo stand." Heng-Heng told Rani.

"We were there first!" Kely glared.

"Is that true?" Rani then asked.

"Well, yes, but-" Heng-Heng spoke up.

"And how long have you been there?" Rani interrupted to ask the lemur troop leader.

"Well, since sunrise." Kely replied.

"And when does Heng-Heng have to eat?" Rani smirked then.

"In the morning, afternoon, and the middle of the night." Kely, Heng-Heng, and even Bunga replied.

"We've already heard this." Bunga shrugged bashfully.

"Kion had a great idea for the Night Pride and the Lion Guard. Maybe it'll work for you," Rani soon decided. "Try taking shifts."

"Shifts?" Heng-Heng and Kely asked.

"The lemurs get the bamboo stand at sunrise, then in the middle of the day and again at sunset," Rani said to Kely before facing Heng-Heng. "And Heng-Heng, it's all yours in the morning, the afternoon, and the middle of the night."

"The middle of the night." Heng-Heng smiled.

"That is a great idea," Kely smiled at Heng-Heng. "Come on, Heng-Heng."

"My pleasure, Kely," Heng-Heng smiled back before looking back at the rest of the troop of lemurs. "Let's go boys."

The other lemurs soon hopped onto her back and they soon walked off together.

"Hey, Kion, all healed yet?" Bunga asked his lion friend hopefully.

"I don't think so, Bunga." Kion frowned.

"Maybe all the interruptions are slowing things down." Fuli then said.

"I'm sorry, Kion. Fuli's right," Rani agreed. "We should go."

"Yeah, guess I'll get back to reflecting." Kion sighed as he went back over to the lake.

Rani and the others soon left Kion and Kopa alone so then Kion could reflect. "Fuli, you should know I'm worried about Kion's healing too." she then told Fuli.

"What do you mean?" Fuli asked.

"We all want him to get better, but maybe this is as healed as he's going to get." Rani explained.

"You mean like my eyesight," Ono remarked. "It's better, but not back to the way it was."

"If that's true, then it's time for us to go back to the Pride Lands." Fuli suggested.

"Except I'm not sure Kion believes he can lead the Lion Guard without the Roar." Rani then said to the cheetah.

"Seriously?" Fuli blinked.

"Of course, he can." Behste smiled.

"Kion's always been leader of the Lion Guard." Ono added.

"Not to mention our only lion." Bunga smirked.

"Yep." Anga nodded in agreement.

"Kion might not be at his best right now, but he is the best, with or without the Roar." Fuli then said to Rani.

"Maybe you can talk to him then," Rani said before yawning. "Sorry, I'm tired; I'll go get some rest and I think Kopa should go back to the Pridelands with you even if it means losing a member of the Night Pride."

"Sounds like Kion's doubting himself more than ever. Come on." Fuli said to the rest of the Lion Guard before they soon ran off and went to go and see Kion.

Kopa was twitching a bit while Kion stared out into the lake as he had dozed off while looking after his biological little brother.

"Done reflecting yet?" Bunga asked as he came up beside his lion friend.

"Bunga? Guys?" Kion glanced over to see the others. "I thought you were on patrol."

"We are. And we're here to deal with an emergency!" Fuli replied. "You."

"Me?" Kion asked.

"Kion, your scar is making you doubt yourself," Fuli told him. "But we don't doubt you."

"But without the Roar, I-" Kion started.

"You've always been a great leader, Kion," Anga reminded. "Even before you had the Roar."

"Wait, Anga, how do you know?" Bunga asked out of confusion. "We met you after Kion got the Roar."

"Yeah, but I remember seeing you around the Pride Lands." Anga explained.

"Anga remembers and you need to remember too," Fuli soon added. "Remember what makes you you."

Kopa soon began to wake up a little to see what was happening.

"We've come this far together, The last step's up to you, We've known you forever, But you need to know you, too~" Fuli soon began to sing to Kion.

"You-oo-oo-oo~," Fuli and Anga sang together. "Remember what makes you 'you', Recall what is real and true, That's all you need to do, Remember what makes you 'you'~"

"I remember a time when we were all a lot younger." Anga said.

A flashback soon showed Anga as a young bird as she flew in the air as she looked down with her incredible eyesight.

"Race you to the watering hole!" Baby Kion giggled at Baby Bunga.

"The first one there's a rotten egg. Zuka Zama!" Baby Bunga smiled as he soon came to the watering hole and soon jumped off of a rock and splashed inside the water happily. "Look at me. I'm the rotten egg!"

"Sorry, Little B. I got here first." Baby Behste said as he came from underneath the honey badger.

"Guess Beshte's a rotten egg." Baby Kion smiled innocently.

"That's okay," Baby Bunga replied before he suddenly farted. "I still smell like one."

"Kion! Kion!" Baby Fuli called out as she came running over.

"Fuli?" Baby Kion asked.

"There's a hyena in the Pridelands and it's stealing an egg." Baby Fuli told Baby Kion.

"That's not right!" Baby Behste gasped. "We gotta tell your dad."

"No time to tell my dad," Baby Kion replied. "We gotta stop that hyena ourselves. Come on."

And so, the future Lion Guard ran off together to go and stop the hyena.

"Hmm..." Young Anga paused curiously as she watched them from the sky.

Baby Janja was shown to be trying to get away with the stolen egg, trying to roll it away. "This egg is so, oh, hard to roll." he then complained.

"Hey, stop!" Baby Fuli's voice called out.

Baby Janja soon kept rolling the egg away.

"Leave that egg alone!" Baby Fuli glared as she came around the corner.

Baby Janji soon smirked, unafraid of the cheetah.

"Why are you smiling?" Baby Fuli demanded.

Baby Janja laughed at her. "'Cuz I know something you don't know~" he then said in a singsong tone.

"What's that?" Baby Fuli kept her glare.

"That there's three of us." Baby Janja smirked as two of his friends soon came out.

"Oh, yeah?" Baby Kion retorted as he and the others soon caught up with Fuli. "Well, there's four of us."

"Which is more, three or four?" Baby Cheezi asked out of confusion.

"Give us that egg, hyena." Baby Kion demanded.

"Hey, he's got a name, lion cub!" Baby Cheezi soon glared along with Baby Chungu. "It's Janja."

"Yeah, and I'm Cheezi!" Baby Chungu smirked.

"No, you're Chungu!" Baby Cheezi glared at him. "I'm Cheezi."

"Really?" Baby Chungu asked like that was news to him.

"They forgot their own names?" Kopa's voice deadpanned. "I know hyenas aren't the smartest animals in the jungle, but that's pretty sad if you ask me."

"Believe me, I thought so too." Kion's voice replied from memory.

"I don't care who you are. You hyenas aren't allowed to steal that egg." Baby Kion told the baby hyenas.

"Oh, yeah? Who's gonna stop us?" Baby Janja asked with a smirk.

"We are." Baby Kion glared as the others joined his side.

"Yeah, right," Baby Janja rolled his eyes. "Come on, fur brains, help me steal this egg.

"Did he call us fur brains?" Baby Cheezi asked.

"Yeah," Chungu smiled obliviously. "I like it."

"Uh, fur brains, stop talking and hold those guys off while I take the egg!" Baby Janja glared as he rolled the egg away.

"Okay, Janja," Baby Cheezi smiled in confidence. "You got it."

"How do we do that?" Baby Chungu wondered.

"Beshte, get Cheezi. Fuli, take Chungu. Bunga, go for the egg. Leave that Janja to me." Baby Kion commanded his friends.

"Right." Baby Fuli replied.

"Got it." Baby Bunga added.

"Huwezi!" Baby Fuli called out before they began to charge.

"Twende kiboko!" Baby Behste called out.

The hippo and the cheetah soon charged at Cheezi and Chungu which made them scream out.

"Zuka Zama! Gotcha!" Baby Bunga beamed once he carried the egg.

"Hey, that's mine!" Baby Janja glared.

"Not anymore, eenie-meenie hyenie." Baby Bunga smirked.

Baby Janja looked ready to attack the honey badger, only to be suddenly pinned down.

"Get out of the Pridelands. Now!" Baby Kion demanded.

"Okay. We're going, we're going." Baby Janja complained.

The hyenas soon ran away once they were defeated, starting to make a run for it back into The Outlands.

"Look at 'em go. Buh-bye." Baby Bunga told the three hyenas.

"Guess we'll never see them again." Baby Fuli smirked at her friends.

Baby Behste gasped as the egg began to shake and crack. Kion! Look at the egg!"

"Oh, no it's cracked." Baby Bunga frowned.

"Hevi kabisa!" Baby Kion's eyes widened. "It's not just cracked, it's hatching!"

The egg soon hatched and out came the newborn baby bird who would become a new friend of Kion's. "Hapana." he then chirped happily as he looked all around them.

"Nice." Young Anga smiled as she glided on.

End of Flashback

"You see it's always been there, Those special qualities, Believe what's inside you, And you'll do the rest with ease~" Anga soon continued her song to Kion.

"You-oo-oo-oo~" Fuli then sang with Anga. "Remember what makes you "you", Recall what is real and true, That's all you need to do, Remember what makes you "you"~"

"What great friends those guys are." Kopa smiled happily.

"I remember that day." Kion smiled as he looked at his reflection in the lake water.

"Me too." Beshte smiled back.

"Oh, yeah." Bunga added.

"I don't." Ono said.

"We sure showed those hyenas." Bunga smirked.

"And you showed us how to be a team, Kion," Fuli added. "The Roar may have made you the leader of Lion Guard, but it's not what made you a leader."

"You've always been one." Anga smiled.

Kion looked into the lake and then back at his friends. "Maybe you're right. Back then I didn't even know about the Lion Guard or the Roar," he then said to them. "Kopa even told me to start seeing and believing with my heart."

"Does that mean you're ready to lead us on patrol?" Bunga asked Kion.

"Actually, it's almost time for the Night Pride to take over." Kion told Bunga.

"It's true." Kopa said.

"Lion Guard! Lion Guard!" Ullu hooted as she soon flew over to see the group. "Makucha, Ora, and Chuluun are headed back up the mountain pass."

"Are Dakarai and his little cronies with him?" Kopa asked.

"I didn't see Dakarai, but Akata and Abrafo appeared to be sitting alone somewhere far away." Ullu replied.

"Hmm... Dakarai must be scheming." Kopa paused thoughtfully as the sun began to set.

"Thanks, Ullu," Kion said to the owl. "Alert the Night Pride."

Ullu soon hooted again and flew off to go and do just that.

"Lion Guard, follow me." Kion then told his friends before they ran off together.
