He started it
Yuta and Maya and gifts.
It didn't snow when she thought it would. There was obviously something wrong this year.
Her hand moved to the edge of the door, and her fingers crept towards the silver doorknob. …she didn't want to…turn it.
Ring.
Arched brows knitted together in hapless annoyance. Her hand reached for the door, but didn't want to open it. No. she would never open it. Not for a bloody lifetime, if he was still standing there, grinning that-that…grin of his.
Ring.
Her eyes narrowed in a silent contest of wills between herself and…herself.
Ring. Ring. RingringringringringringRINGRINGRINGRING!
"C'sknev," she declared, calling whoever was outside a very nasty thing. "Fu—"
The door burst open before her hand touched the knob.
A shower of white specks whirled around at her feet and then dropped to the floor quite abruptly. The flecks of snow stuck to her hair and her cheeks and her eyelashes, and she stood there, unsure of what to do.
"Merry Christmas, Maya!"
…Kirishima. That bastard.
And then, all of a sudden, he pushed something into her hands…something square and light and large and red. And then, as suddenly as he appeared, he was gone. The snow settled to the floor and began to make wet spots on the new carpet. Inwardly, Maya cursed.
…and she looked at the box and opened it.
BOOM! She sputtered, shaking with rage, and swiping at her face to wipe of the glitters that had accompanied that untimely explosion. Poison green eyes gleamed with the prospect of sweet revenge.
"…B-bastard…"
Her hand flew to her computer, mind bursting with a million little 'gifts' to endow her beloved childhood friend with this season. And exploding boxes were the least of them.
…and why the hell was it snowing?
