A/N: Sorry for the wait, guys. I've been having some trouble with writer's block as well as some other things. Also, you may have noticed the review in a foreign language on the second chapter of this fic. Well lucky for me I could understand it since Google Translate's a thing. Unlucky for the guest, I didn't like what it said very much.

If you are reading this, my anonymous friend, I feel bad for you. It's sad that you have nothing better to do than leave death threats on stories in your native tongue in hopes that the authors won't understand them. Nevertheless I kept it around since it increases my stats, so thank you for that. I hope you become even more successful in the future, I really do.

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Mono was jerked into awareness once again with the sound, his body feeling weightless with the vibrations of it. For a few moments he just lye there on the ground, disoriented and afraid, listening to the ringing in his ears. Until he heard a small whimper coming from somewhere off to his right. Six! Was she hurt? Fighting the wave of dizziness and nausea sitting up so rapidly caused, the boy scanned his painfully bright surroundings for that familiar blotch of yellow.

The girl was still laying down, yanking the hood of her raincoat even further over her face in hopes of blocking out the sun. Seriously, why was it so bright out? Thinking that Six had the right idea, Mono began feeling around for his trusty paper bag, then froze. Oh yeah.

Mono didn't really have time to think about it at the time since he was fighting for his life, so it never truly hit him that his bag, the piece of headwear that had been with him the longest, was gone. It had been destroyed by waves of electricity that had come from him. He didn't get the time to think about that, either. He'd known he had the power to sense signals and travel through televisions; not once did he consider that he might have other abilities. Speaking of the electricity, he could still feel it coursing through his body, causing him to tremble slightly. It wasn't painful, though. In fact, it felt... kind of comforting? Maybe it was the knowledge that he wasn't completely defenseless, like when he had found a hammer to protect himself against the living hands in The Hospital. Whatever the reason, something just felt undeniably right about this.

"Mono..." Six's hoarse voice brought the boy out of his musings, and he met the tired brown eyes of his friend. She had also sat up, and was holding her shaggy bangs away from her face and blinking rapidly, trying to focus her gaze on him.

"Hey," He replied, surprised to hear that his voice sounded even worse than Six's. "Are you okay?"

Six groaned. "I feel awful. I hurt all over and... I have this weird feeling inside. What about you?"

"I'm not much better," Mono admits, placing a hand against his sweaty forehead. "What do you mean by a weird feeling?"

Six shrugs, her face (or at least the part Mono can see) scrunching up in concentration. "I don't know... it's like there's something inside of me that wasn't there before, or I couldn't feel it until now. Not my body though, more inside than that. ... Does that make any sense?"

Mono thought about this for a bit. Had Six told him this a while ago, it probably wouldn't make any sense to him. But now, with his newfound power, he felt quite similarly. "Can you do anything with it?"

Six spends another moment in concentration. "No," she responds a short while later. "I try to reach for it, but it keeps getting away. It's like trying to hold water." She pouts. "And it's frustrating because I know if I can just get ahold of it, something awesome will happen. I don't know how I know that though, I just do." She sighs, clambering shakily to her feet. She then holds out her hands, helping Mono to do the same. The asphalt of the road they were just laying on is hot under his bare feet, and his body aches from being on the hard surface for an apparently lengthy amount of time. What had happened? The last thing he remembered was taking Triple's hand and firing a blast at The Thin Man, and now... this. Waking up in the middle of The Pale City, not too far away from The Signal Tower. Or what's left of The Signal Tower, he realizes in shock. Instead of the menacing structure piercing the now clear blue sky, all that's left is a huge smoking pile of rubble. That must have been what made that huge noise! But how had the tower gotten destroyed? Destroying The Thin Man couldn't have caused that, could it?

Six is also looking at the remains of the tower, mouth agape. "Holy Eye, Mono! I-I'm dreaming! I have to be! There's no way that—"

"You're not dreaming, Six." Mono replies softly, putting a hand on his friend's silky shoulder. "I see it too."

And before Six can protest Mono is digging his fingers in and pinching her, hard. "Ow!" She cries, slapping his hand away indignantly. "What was that for?!"

"To convince you that it's not a dream." Mono says with a trembling voice, trying his hardest not to laugh.

"Well you didn't have to do it so hard, you jerk! Triple was right; you really do have sharp nails!" She stops ranting suddenly, head tilting every which way as she scans their surroundings. "Mono, where's Triple?"

Oh no! A pang of guilt and anxiety hits Mono full force as he hadn't even noticed the third member of their group's absence. "Good question." Apparently in response to his emotions, the electric current flowing inside of him strengthens, making him feel hot all over and causing his muscles to spasm even more than before. Six gazes at him worriedly from under her bangs. She reaches out to grab his hand, but jumps into the air and retreats as soon as their skin makes contact.

"Ow!"

"What? What's wrong?" Mono asks, sounding as though he was talking into a fan.

"You shocked me!" Six exclaims, rubbing her hand. "Why do you keep hurting me today, Mono?"

"S-sorry! I didn't mean to."

Rather than continuing to rant like the boy expected, Six began to laugh. She really was going through emotional whiplash right now; hopefully when they found her sister she would be a bit saner.

She continues to laugh, pointing at Mono. "M-M-Mono... hahahaha y-your hair, i-it's haha sticking straight up! Ahahahahahahahaha!"

Mono huffs, taking deep breaths as he attempted to flatten down his hair. It sizzles as his hands slide through it, but thankfully it does not shock him. Ugh, I'm gunna have a lot of work ahead of me if I wanna learn to control these powers, aren't I? Well I might as well start now. He has no clue how to do this of course, so he just does the first thing that comes to mind. He closes his eyes and takes deep breaths, willing the electricity to slow down and then sink back down inside him, tucked away for when he needed it. It actually works! Not completely, he can still feel little sparks dancing on the edges of his consciousness, but he's sure that if he practices he can master this particular skill in no time flat! Now, back to the task at hand.

"Where do you think she could be?" Mono asks worriedly, but he tries not to get too worried as he doesn't want another episode to occurr so soon after the first one.

"I-I don't know." Six stammers, laughter forgotten. She fiddles with the buttons on her coat and marches in place. "I just woke up and she was—"

Before she can finish, the ground begins to rumble. Oh no! Is another building falling? He grabs Six's hand and frantically searches for an escape, but there's nowhere to run! The ground is shaking seemingly everywhere!

Fwoooooom! A dark shape explodes out of the road, rocketing into the sky, before floating gently back down to Earth. As it gets nearer to the ground, it becomes clear what, or rather who this is.

"Triple!" Six shouts in delight, rushing towards her sister. The shadow girl is on her knees, breathing hard, hands clumsily grabbing at her abdomen. She looked like a runaway that had seen too much of what The Corruption had to offer, and was going crazy. Mono hoped that wasn't the case. "Where were you? Are you okay? What's wrong?"

She suddenly stands up, startling the other two kids. "The city is falling!" She shouts, waving her hands in the air. Tiny wisps of shadow snake off of them, dissipating into nothingness in the air. Oh so she has trouble containing her power when she's upset, too! Mono realizes, though he's sure that's not what he should be focusing on at the moment.

Triple continues to yell. "Without the powers of The Eye, the buildings can't stay up! They'll all collapse! We have to get out of here before that happens!"

"Wait, The Eye? As in, The Eye?" Mono wonders out loud. What exactly had Triple been seeing and/or doing before she was here?

"No time! RUN!" And with that she's streaking away, shadows billowing behind, Six and Mono having no other choice but to follow after her.

"WHAT's HAPPENING?!" Six shouts between pants. No matter how fast the kids ran, they just couldn't match their ally's supernatural speed.

"Ugh, forget it! You guys are much too slow!" Then they're being carried, up, up, away from the crumbling city, which solves that problem. Triple seems to calm considerably once they're away from the chaos, giving the kids a chance to question her. But before Six can do so, a thought pounds Mono's brain, thought that he must voice.

"Wait!" He shouts over the wind. "If the city really is going down, a lot of people are going to get hurt! Lots of them are Viewers, who are pretty much dead anyway, but what if there are runaways like us down there? Kids that are in the buildings... they won't know what's happening!"

Triple ponders this, then sighs. "Okay. We'll check some of the more stable buildings before we go. But we'll have to be quick, and only the ones that are are away from the tower."

Mono and Six both sigh in relief.
