Cowboys typically travel alone unless they wind up with others, but Mitsuhide's absolutely positive that this type of situation is relatively unheard of or maybe just unique. Right now, he can't help but look over, and there's long blonde hair pulled back into a ponytail, a light brown horse trotting next to his, and a woman with gloves covering her hands, making it a little easier on her.

She could pass as Mitsuhide's twin as far as the way she dresses. She's wearing identical brown gloves just a couple sizes or so smaller than his, a slight overcoat overtop a light brown shirt, that seems gentle in its circle and close to the throat, and long pants that rest almost loosely on her, though it's harder to tell with her on a horse.

Just her hat isn't on her head right now, so Mitsuhide is the only one still with a hat on.

"You ready to stop for the moment?" She asked, leaning casually across her horse, with the comfortableness that comes from years of experience.

"Yeah. I'm hungry." He shrugs, and it will be a moment before they can pull off to the side and climb off to eat.

"Sounds good." Kiki offers, and soon they have found a spot to slide off of their horses and make a fire to eat up some cans of soup. It's familiar, almost domestic in the ways that are surprising to have when they live on the backs of horses and out crossing warm places like deserts.

And yet, it's here with her that Mitsuhide feels better, feels at peace, glad to be together with her. It's as familiar as the night turning to day, just to be by her side, and it's not that there's anything necessarily romantic about it, and yet, he imagines that perhaps they can be one day.

One day when it feels right to ask if she'd consider being more than friends with him, whether she'd be happy to try that out. Cowboys aren't normally given the option or chance at something that tastes and feels like normalcy, at something that feels like domestic bliss, whether there is a house and four walls or whether it is just open air and sand.

"Where do you want to go from here?" Kiki asks, leaning back as if to somehow avoid the heat of the sun that beats down on her.

"There's a town, just a couple of miles away." He answers easily, "I figured we can ride on over and figure out what to do from there next."

"Sounds like a plan." Kiki answers, a smile gracing her lips, and leaving Mitsuhide a little caught within the sunshine of it all; even the most little smiles from her are the most beautiful sights to ever see.

She's more radiant than the sun is, Mitsuhide swears, and then as he looks at her now, he slowly realizes like a flower unfolding that somehow he's fallen in love with his "cowboy" companion, just as easily as if he'd always loved her.
