"Lloyd," she said pacing back and forth. "This doesn't feel right. We've only been back for three days and it already doesn't feel like home anymore."
"Sweetie, we just have to give it some time. This is where we belong." He was sitting on their bed as his wife was franticly trying to figure out what to do.
"I know that's how it seems but…"
"But…what?" he questioned.
"I'm just saying maybe, I don't know, maybe there is a reason the time machine broke down when it did. Maybe we were supposed to make a trip there. Maybe he was supposed to meet her." She was still pacing, trying to think.
"Well we already know why the time machine broke down. Phil didn't clean the temporal pump valve and the engine blew." She stopped and looked down at Lloyd.
"Yeah but that's still brings the situation back to Phil and Keely. He wanted to help her. And if he hadn't we would have been stuck in that time storm, right?"
"True…"
"I don't know. Maybe I just can't stand to see our son this sad. Maybe I want him to have his happy ending. Or at least a shot at it." She sighed, frustrated.
"And you think the only way that is going to happen is back in the twenty-first century?" he asked trying to grasp her point.
"Honey, you know how much they care about each other. I mean they spent practically every minute together for the past some-odd years. And then it was like, "Nope! Drop everything! Stop living the life you love and be dragged away to a place you haven't seen in years and probably don't care about anymore!" How do you think that's going to affect them?"
She was getting to him. A wave of sympathy washed through his body. "I don't know, dear." Then something odd struck him. How would he have felt if he had lost Barbara all those years ago? They would not have been able to spend the rest of their lives together. They would not have their two lovely children. It would be so horrible.
She watched as his expression changed from unsure, to deep-in-thought, to alarmed, and then to considerate.
"Umm…I guess it could be possible…" he murmured still slightly lost in thought. "If you think that's best…"
"I do," she said softly. "I really do."

"Phil! Pim! Get in here!" their father yelled from the family's sitting room.
"What? What is it?" they both asked.
"I think you guys should sit down." All four of them sat down on the two couches surrounding them. "So, your mother and I have been discussing and seriously thinking about this since we have been back and…"
'Please say we are not staying here!' Phil silently begged.
Barb continued for her husband, "And we've decided to go back to 2006. We have discussed this till the end and we finally reached a mutual decision. We know how much you love it there, Phil, and we don't want to be at fault for ruining something so precious."
Phil was in a state of shock until his face was flooded with joy. 'YES!' He was so excited that he would be able to be with Keely again.
"Great, the two lovebirds shall be reunited. And then they can make out with each other all day long." Pim sighed. Her mother gave her a look. "What? We all know that's just what is going to happen."
