A/N: It feels like it's been forever. I appologize. Uhh...just a warning...umm...well you'll find out. Read away!

They just got back. He was going crazy trying to contain himself from just running right to her. He needed to give himself some time to think things through first. What would he say? "I'm sorry I left…love me forever" Would that be too weird? He wondered how she was. Was she even sorry that he left? He hoped she had missed him.

Keely could be found sitting on her living room couch in shorts and a tank top while indulging in a rather substantial sized bowl of chocolate ice cream. She didn't know what to do with herself. The last week and a half had been the laziest of her life. She just didn't feel like doing anything.

The phone rang. She didn't want to get it but knew she should. Slowly she made her way over to the phone that sat next to the TV. "Hello?"

"Hey Pumpkin." It was her mother.

"Hey Mom, what's up?"

"I'm not going to be home till late tonight so will you be okay finding yourself something for dinner?" she asked.

"Yeah, of course. I'll be fine. I'll probably make a sandwich or something."

"Okay, that's great. I'm just so swamped here at work; so much to do. Alright, so I'll see you when I get home. Love you."

"Love you too, Mom."

She went back over to the couch and grabbed her bowl off the floor. It didn't matter if her mom came home late. She only wanted to be left alone anyways.

She walked to the kitchen and rinsed her bowl in the sink before heading upstairs to jump into the shower.

"I need to go on a walk, clear my head a little. But there is no way in heck I am leaving the house looking like a total slob!" she said before shaking her head. "Great. Now I'm talking to myself!"

After she was done in the shower, she threw on some jeans and a long sleeve shirt. She put her hair up and added just a touch of make up.

She grabbed her key and cell phone and then she was off.

Meanwhile, Phil had also gone for a walk. "Maybe some fresh Pickford air will do me good."

He was on his way to the park down the street. He always felt better there. Hopefully it would help clear his mind so he could think rationally. When he got there, he was on his way to the bench when something caught his eye. There, on a swing, was the girl who was currently the focus of all his thoughts.

She saw him. She thought she was just imagining it, but there he stood. She got up and started walking over to him. "Phil?"

He was frozen in his tracks. "Keely?"

She ran closer. He did the same. They just stared at each other for a minute. And then…

He pulled her into a tender kiss which she gladly returned. They were both lost in the moment. Their heart beats racing. Then they reluctantly pulled apart.

He had a huge grin on his face. "I missed you."

"I missed you too," she said as she pulled him back into a much more invigorating kiss than the first. She was so happy that they were together again. Then something swept over her. She pushed him away. "Phil? How can we keep doing this?"

He looked at her confused. "Well, uh, we stand here in each others arms and…"

"That's not what I meant. What are you doing here? I thought you were supposed to be gone, like forever."

"How come I'm getting the feeling that you're not that excited to see me?" he questioned.

"It's not that I'm not excited to see you, because I am, it's just how long is this going to keep happening? You say you're leaving, I become heart-broken, and then we're back together again. I don't know how many more times I can take it."

She sighed and sat down on the ground. She folded her legs and hugged her knees to her chest. Slowly, she continued, "I mean, it's great that we never really leave each other but it hurts so much with all false alarms and fears of really losing you. Like never knowing how much time we have together. Never knowing when we may be apart…forever."

He also sighed and sat down next to her. "I know that being born over a hundred years after the girl you love isn't the most convenient thing in the world, but…"

She scoffed. "Convenient. Right. Try like…impossible."

"You think that it's impossible that I love you?" he asked, wondering where this sudden harsh side was coming from.

"Not that exactly. It's just, how can we be together when time keeps getting in the way. I have to be put through so much just because I want to be with you. It would be a lot easier if you were just born in the same century as me."

He looked at her, shocked. "You don't think I know that? There's nothing that we can do to change that though," he replied defensively. "I love you for who you are and I thought that was how you felt about me but apparently the fact that I'm different from you is causing us a little problem." He jumped up from where he was sitting.

She looked uneasy. She wanted the ground to open up and swallow her. But she was so hurt each and every time. She didn't know how to respond to him.

He looked down at her but she wouldn't return the gesture. "Maybe making the decision to stay here forever was a mistake," he said before walking away.
