A/n: I know, I know. I am a terribly horrible person, leaving you hanging off a cliff like that for a month. Yes, I am horrible and it was a full month but have no fear! My update is finally here! So I have several excuses for you all (ya'll..I am so not from the south..) but I wilst not waste anymore time. So here it is...featuring a lovely song entitled "I'm Lost Without You" by the cool kids of Blink 182. Strap on those seat belts, have fun, and enjoy the ride.

"Well that didn't go exactly as planned," Phil said as he entered his house and went up to his bedroom.

'More time to think is what I need. Hopefully this time it goes a little better than the last.' He didn't even know how it had happened. When he saw her there, she looked even more beautiful than he remembered. They came closer together and they kissed and now they were fighting. It seemed so stupid really.

I swear that I can go on forever again

Please let me know that my one bad day will end

I will go down as your lover, your friend

Give me your lips and with one kiss we begin

'I love her so much and life is horrible without her near me. I thought this was the right thing to do. Why would she act like that? It was so unlike her.' Out of pure frustration he ran a hand through his hair causing it to stand up in all directions.

Are you afraid of being alone

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

Are you afraid of leaving tonight

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

I'll leave my room open till sunrise for you

I'll keep my eyes patiently focused on you

Where are you now I can hear footsteps I'm dreaming

And if you will, keep me from waking to believe this

Phil stood up from where he had been sitting at his desk and began to pace back and forth. Sure Keely's reaction wasn't exactly what he was going for but did he really want to risk their relationship on some silly thing she had said? It's not like it was completely her fault; the whole future thing did cause a little added stress for them. But she's usually so understanding…

Are you afraid of being alone

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

Are you afraid of leaving tonight

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

He didn't want to think about this any longer. He left his room and went downstairs.

"Hey sweetie," his mother greeted him as he walked into the kitchen. When his only response was an awkward, forced smile she looked at him questioningly. "Are you okay?"

He grabbed a container of juice out of the refrigerator and poured some into an empty glass. "Oh I'm just peachy," he replied, sarcastically.

"Did something happen between you and Keely?"

'Why does everyone always assume that when something is wrong it has to deal with Keely?' He downed the juice and refilled the cup then sighed heavily. "Yeah."

She looked at him expectantly but nothing else came. "Care to elaborate?"

"Not really."

She frowned. "Well you know I'm here if you want to talk."

He finished the rest of the drink residing in his glass before replying, "I know." Then he set his cup down on the counter and left the room.

Are you afraid of being alone

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

Are you afraid of leaving tonight

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

Are you afraid of being alone

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

Are you afraid of leaving tonight

Cause I am, I'm lost without you

He was now back upstairs and sprawled out across his bed. 'Who'd have ever thought things could get so complicated over such a small thing.' He was worn out from the long day and it did not take long before he was fast asleep.

I'm lost without you

I'm lost without you

After Phil had left her there, Keely felt so stupid. They had come back for good. She was pretty sure it had something to do with their relationship. He was staying and she just got mad at him. She should have been relieved, overjoyed, something…but no, she was frustrated.

She got up and ran home. Once there, she went up to her room and cried. When her mother came home a little while later, she found Keely sitting there still crying.

"Hey Keely, have you seen my hair dryer?" Mandy said before realizing her daughter was in tears. "Oh my! Sugarplum, what's the matter?"

"Mom, I'm so stupid. He came back for me and I just made him mad!" she said between sobs.

Mandy was a little confused. "Who came back?"

"Phil."

"Phil? Phil came back? For you?"

Keely only nodded.

"And then you made him mad?"

She nodded again.

"Well what did you do?" Mandy asked, wondering what she could do to help comfort her daughter.

"I…" she sniffled. "I made him feel horrible. I blamed him for putting me through so much pain. I should have been ecstatic to see him, but I wasn't. I was upset. Now I feel horrible and I don't know what to do."

Mandy was a little surprised but reassuringly replied, "If he loves you as much as I know he does, he'll come around. Don't worry about it too much. You two have a bond that no one can break. I'm sure you guys can work through this; you just have to be patient."

"Thanks Mom," Keely said as she reached out to her mother for a hug.

"No problem. Is there anything else?"

"Nope, I think that's it. I'm probably just gonna go to bed now."

"Alright Pumpkin, see you in the morning."

"Good night, Mom"

"Good night," Mandy said as she left Keely's room to go get herself ready for a peaceful night of sleep.

'Maybe Mom is right,' Keely thought. 'We can get through this.

I hope…'
