The next morning Phil woke up exhausted. He had tossed and turned all night knowing that things were not okay between Keely and him. He felt terrible that he had been mad at her. All he wanted to do was make things right again.

He got up and headed towards the bathroom to take a shower. If they would be staying in this century permanently, something had to be done.

After he was done getting ready, he ran downstairs. He called out to his parents to let them know he was going out for a bit.

He heard an "Okay Phil" from his father in return and then he walked out the door. He jogged down the street and a moment later he was standing in Keely's doorway contemplating exactly what he was going to say.

Next thing he knew, he was knocking on the door. It opened. It wasn't Keely who was looking back at him. "Hey Mrs. T," Phil said a bit hesitantly. "Is Keely home?"

"Sure Phil, come on in," she replied with a knowing smile on her face.

She disappeared for a moment.

---

"Hey Keely, there's someone here to see you."

"Who?" she asked removing her gaze from the computer screen.

"Someone who stirs up quite a few emotions in you," Mandy said slowly.

"You mean…?" she asked.

Her mother just nodded and left the room.

---

The woman returned after a few minutes. "She'll be right down." Then she disappeared into the kitchen, leaving a nervous Phil alone on the living room couch.

Seconds later, an equally nervous Keely appeared. He stood up.

"Want to walk?" he asked. She nodded and they headed out the door.

They walked in silence for a few minutes until finally Phil spoke.

"Ugh…this shouldn't be happening!" he said roughly.

She contorted her face to a look of confusion and disbelief.

He tried to clarify himself. "No, it's not what you're thinking. For some reason, I'm really…I don't know… nervous and a whole bunch of other things that I've never felt around you before. I don't know what to say and I seem to be rambling on and on. Maybe I should just get to the point. Listen, Keel, about yester--"

He didn't get a chance to finish before Keely cut him off. "No Phil. I think I'll save you the trouble." She took a deep breath and continued. "What happened yesterday was definitely not your fault. I was stupid. I was afraid of something that could happen at any point, time-traveling or not. I don't know. I just couldn't stand the fact that I could be without you. Just the thought of it tears me up inside. I would be so lost and miserable. But now I've realized just how valuable time is. We should live for the moment and not hold back. Fighting is pointlesswhen all I really want to do is just be together. I'm sorry."

He smiled slightly. "Well was easier than I thought it would be. And I'm sorry too. I shouldn't have gotten so angry. The ever-existent fear of being away from you has been eating away at me too. And I guess you did have a right to be upset," he stated matter-of-factly and then asked, "So…we're good?"

"We're good," she answered. "Except…I could use one more thing." She smiled mischievously.

"Oh, and what would that be exactly?"

"This," she said and then pulled him close. She leaned forward and pressed her lips against his. They were so caught up in the moment that as they stood there, the world around them seemed to fade away. It was just the two of them…

Being together…

Forever.

A/N: Yet again, sorry for the terribly long wait. But yay! they're back together again! Oh, and don't worry this isn't the end, even if it sounds like it. I promise it's not. Stay tuned for more adventures from the land of Phil and Keely.
