Wolf Pack
They kept on walking when they noticed the raven flying around them and wondered why it kept following them.
Ralph: I sure would like to know why I keep seeing that raven.
Vanellope: You've been following a raven?
Ralph: Uh-huh. Yeah. I know it sounds dumb. I've been seeing this raven in my dreams.
Vanellope: Your dreams?
Ralph: Mm-hmm. I only followed it because it promised to help me find you.
Vanellope: I've been seeing a raven too. I wasn't sure if I was following it or it was following me.
While they were talking, behind them were some trees and two wolves were looking at them with a third wolf chewing on a bone. The two wolves that were looking at Ralph and Vanellope are females and the other one is a male. The two females' names are Taffyta and Candlehead and the male is Rancis. Rancis is a brown and yellow wolf with a Reese's cup hat on his head. Candlehead is a purple and brown wolf with a fake candle on her head and Taffyta is a yellow and pink wolf with a laffy-taffy design helmet on her head. Rancis and Candlehead are mates while Taffyta has no one yet and she also has fleas which makes her scratch a lot. Taffyta and Candlehead started talking about Ralph and Vanellope.
Taffyta: You think that could be them, Candlehead?
Candlehead: It beats me. What do you think, Rancis, huh?
Rancis: I don't think. I just eat. It's more filling.
Just then, two other wolves that are brothers that are different sizes showed up. There is a bigger wolf who is the older brother and a smaller wolf who is the little brother. Their names are Big Dan and Little Dan which is why they are sometimes called Double Dan and they are dark pink in color and the older brother was ordering the other wolves to attack Ralph and Vanellope which made Rancis break his bone in half.
Big Dan: What are you waiting for? Get them!
Little Dan: Yeah, get them!
They began walking toward Ralph and Vanellope with Taffyta complaining along the way.
Taffyta: Okay, okay. You don't have to yell.
Back to Ralph and Vanellope, they were still talking about the raven and wondering about it.
Vanellope: Why a raven? Why here?
Ralph: I wish I knew.
Then Vanellope started picking up a scent and sniffed the air which made Ralph curious and asked her what was the matter.
Ralph: What is it?
Vanellope: Company. And it doesn't smell friendly.
Ralph: Let's get out of here.
They then walked further away towards the ocean and when they got there, Vanellope looked back to make sure nobody followed them.
Ralph: See anything?
Vanellope: No. Maybe I was wrong.
She then got excited when she saw the ocean that she ran toward it with Ralph calling out to her.
Vanellope: Look, Papa! Oh, I love it here. It's so wild. Come on!
Ralph: Don't go out too far, Vanellope. The tide's coming in fast.
Vanellope: I'll be fine.
She then stopped at the edge to enjoy the wind and the waves when Ralph came towards her and complained about her being out there.
Vanellope: Mmm.
Ralph: I don't like you being out here. You could slip and fall.
Vanellope: Papa, you've got to stop worrying about me.
As soon as she said that, Taffyta and the others were there blocking the only way out and trapping them. They then began to walk towards them which made Ralph and Vanellope back up.
Taffyta: Yes, and start worrying about us.
Candlehead: Yes, us. Because we're-mean. Right, Rancis?
Rancis: Yeah, especially when I'm hungry.
Ralph: Look, we don't want any trouble. This is your territory. We'll just go.
Taffyta: Sorry, but you are not going… nowhere!
Vanellope: That's 'anywhere', Flea Bag.
Ralph: Vanellope, I hardly think this is the time to be correcting her grammar.
Vanellope: Papa.
They continued to back them up when the raven squawked and flew between them which made Taffyta and the others whimper and back away.
Ralph: At least we know the raven's on our side.
Vanellope: Come on. We can take 'em.
Ralph: Vanellope, no!
She ran towards them and ram into Taffyta which made both of them roll away from the others until they stopped. That left Ralph fighting both Candlehead and Rancis at the same time with Candlehead trying to land on Vanellope's back but Ralph had pushed her away before she could. Rancis then charged after them but Ralph jumped on his back before he could go after Vanellope and Taffyta joined the fight as well. That left Vanellope and Candlehead fighting each other with Candlehead leaping towards Vanellope, but she dodged her. But that made Vanellope slip towards the ledge and hang on. She was hanging on for her life when Candlehead came and was about to push her in the water.
Candlehead: Bye-bye, Doggy.
Before she could though, Ralph yelled out which made them stop for a bit.
Ralph: Vanellope!
Candlehead: Ow!
He pushed Candlehead away from her, grabbed Vanellope's nape and pulled her to safety. Once he did, they were surrounded by Taffyta and the others.
Taffyta: Aw, and I thought all doggies could swim.
Candlehead: Yeah, yeah. And don't they all go to heaven? 'Doggies go to heaven.'
While she was laughing, the others were looking at her funny which made her stop. Once she stopped, they started to back them up to the ocean. Before they could, a wave splashed them which got them soaked.
Candlehead: The tide is coming. Let's get out of here!
All of them began running towards shore when their path was blocked by Double Dan with Big Dan in front. He started commanding them to finish Ralph and Vanellope off but Candlehead tried to reason with him.
Big Dan: Get back there, you sniveling cowards.
Candlehead: Big Dan, the tide! We'll drown.
Big Dan: Yes, there's always that chance. But, then, if you don't take it, I'll make sure you drown. If those two live, they'll take what's left of our food.
They then turned back around to corner Ralph and Vanellope with Big Dan in front of them. Little Dan was going to help them but Big Dan had told him no because he didn't want him to get hurt.
Big Dan: No, you stay here, Little Brother.
Little Dan: But, Big Brother, I should help.
Big Dan: No, you stay here and that's final.
So he reluctantly agreed to stay while Big Dan and the others were backing Ralph and Vanellope up. Before they could back them up even further, they heard a female voice calling to them from behind. They looked behind to see a brown-colored wolf that is also old who is the leader of the pack along with the rest of the pack. Her name is Shank and she gave them a command to clear a path for Ralph and Vanellope.
Shank: Stop! Clear a path for our visitors. Now.
Taffyta, Candlehead and Rancis had reluctantly moved out of the way but Big Dan didn't and started arguing with her. So Shank walked toward him to try to reason with him.
Big Dan: I will not let them go, Shank. I will not let you, an aging fool, destroy us with your weakness!
Shank: I admire your passion, Big Dan, but do not mistake my old age for weakness, nor your youth for strength. I ask again: Will you clear the path for our visitors?
Big Dan: No.
Then an orca whale swam behind him which Shank had silently given it a command. It spewed water from its blowhole and sprayed Big Dan completely soaked. Everyone bagan laughing at him and he started walking back to pack but before giving Shank a warning first.
Big Dan: Some day your tricks will not be enough to save you.
Shank: I am sorry it had to be this way, Big Dan.
Once he was gone, Shank turned towards Ralph and Vanellope to make sure they were okay.
Ralph: Thanks for your help.
Shank: You're welcome. But it is I who thank you for coming at last.
Ralph: You knew we were coming?
Shank: Of course. It was I who sent you.
That made Ralph and Vanellope look at each other very confused at what she just said.
