After the match, both Astrid's and Kaia's teams gathered around their home school teachers for an overview of their performance. Astrid's team, in particular, were rather disappointed on how things turned out, but Eret gave them a calm expression.

"I should've just tossed Felicia and Nero in jail," said Ragnar. "The fault of this defeat lays with me."

"No, I shouldn't have got myself captured," said Olaf. "I panicked. I should have fired off my lasers to dispel the shadows."

"I need to strengthen my combat skills; if I had finished Zag off quickly, I wouldn't have ended up in captured," said Helga.

"But it was my plan that led us to defeat," said Astrid looking immensely disappointed. "I should have anticipated that Kaia had more than one plan in the works."

"Despite how things turned out, all of you performed admirably," he said. "However, Olaf, when surrounded by enemies, you must remain calm. Helga, just as you say, you need to strengthen your combat skills. Ragnar, don't be too hard on yourself and remember this was only an exercise; in real life, there are hardly any time limits. Astrid, you've proven just how skilled a leader you are and let this remind you that no plan is perfect."

Bard approached Forge. "The grounds were completely wrecked. It was so different from the first match.". Oh

"This is what training in the Hero Courses is like," said Forge. "That that said, they did go a little overboard."

Blood King looked at his students. "You may have won the match, but you need to be more careful with your surroundings and keep collateral damage to a minimum."

"Yes, sir," said Zag.

"Sorry about that," said Kaia.

Eret then approached Blood King. "Right, so when will Felicia's mushrooms disappear?"

"They'll be gone in two hours, give or take."

"Then I suggest we change locations."

Blood King nodded. "Maybe take a break as well."

Cael was laughing smugly at Class A. "That match was an overwhelming victory for the superior class! Just like at the School Festival, Class B is certain to come out on top. It couldn't be any more obvious. Oh, you poor losers, there's no need to look so frustrated. It's not your fault. We're simply better. Except your inferiority!"

Kaia then approached him and knocked him on the head, knocking him unconscious, and dragged him away.

"Apologies," she said.

"He's a broken record that needs to be set on fire," said Agnar.

"I don't know why he talks like that when he knows she's going to smack him," said Ruffnut.

"Maybe he likes it," Fishlegs shrugged.

"Your class have some heavy hitters," said Clueless looking at Eric. "You're blowing my mind here."

"I'd say the same thing goes for you guys," said Eric.

"Zag, I didn't know you can make something so big," said Helga.

"My friend gets bratty when I do, but I'm trying to learn to power through it," said Zag.

Hiccup continued to jot down in his notebook. "It's not just their powers; you have to factor in the attitudes and mental strength. Which factor into overall growth and lead to better performances on the battlefield."

"You've grown as well, Hiccup," Fishlegs pointed out.

"I hope so."

"Nowhere near as much as me, though," said Agnar.

"Yeah, I don't see it," said Ruffnut.

"I'm not talking about my height!"

Hiccup then approached Astrid, who was sitting down time to recover from strength. "You doing all right?"

"Just kicking myself that we lost," said Astrid.

"Hey, don't get so down. You only lost because of the time limit," Hiccup pointed out. "In that one move, you managed to turn the tables and completely overwhelmed opponents. That's something to be proud of."

Astrid looked up at him and smiled. "Thanks, Hiccup. You always know exactly what to say."

Hiccup shrugged. "I'm just telling the truth as how I see it. I mean, when it comes to battle strategy, you outshine me."

"That's not true; during our first training exercise, you have the superior strategy, and you're way better at controlling your anger than the."

"Come, and we both know that it was your teammate that failed you, and while you do have anger issues, you're still the most fearless person that I know, and I would trust no one else to have my back."

Astrid blushed slightly. "That's very sweet, Hiccup."

Hiccup felt his face turning pink and instantly looked away but in the back of his head awkwardly. "Don't mention it."

"Hey, look at those two," said Ingrid looking at Hiccup and Astrid.

"Ah, those two are perfect for each other," said Helga.

"How come every single girl fawns over him," Agnar muttered.

"I know, right," said Clueless. "What does he have that we don't?"

"Well, he's smart, courageous, his parents are famous superheroes, and he's got an excellent sense of humour," said Ragnar counting them off his fingers. "Do you wish for me to stop while you're behind?"

"I keep trying to tell Astrid to make the first move, but she seems rather reluctant," said Heather.

"And Hiccup is afraid that if he attempts to flirt with her, he'll end up in the hospital," said Ragnar.

"But he's got super strength," Agnar pointed out.

"So does Snotlout, and every time he tries, Astrid twists his arm."

"Shame, two of them were in perfect sync when we did the concert," said Helga.

"I'm sure one day they'll express their feelings to one another, but I think it's best that we don't interfere," Heather advised.

Soon the cages were relocated to the undamaged areas of the site.

"The third match will take place in an area two blocks east from the previous rounds were held," Blood King announced. "The cages have been moved to your new bases. This little breather is over. Prepare for the third training battle."

"It's finally Speedfist's turn to fight," said Fishlegs.

"This group has Range's wide range ice attacks, Speedfist's unmatched speed, Magnus's superior scouting capabilities and Sven, who excels with close range combat," said Hiccup. "Talk about a balanced team. Lucky draws."

"We've got Ranger, so it should be an easy win," said Agnar.

"You shouldn't count your grapes until they're grown, boy," Ruffnut teased.

"My grapes are huge!"

"I still think that going to have a hard time," said Astrid as she joined them. "Class B team have some heavy hitters, and Jac did get in recommendations."

Soon both teams were in position, but Tab's team, which consisted of Eric, Jac and Hilde, were well aware of their disadvantage.

"People always treat that I'm some hardheaded moron without a clue," Tab complained. "But I got into Berk just like you guys. It's not like I rush into things without thinking about the endgame."

"What are you talking about?" Eric asked.

"This unbalanced team were stuck with! We don't have any scouts, and that's going to spell big trouble for us!"

"You have a point," Eric admitted.

"Then what do we do, huh, guys?"

"We just talked about our—"

Tab then covered himself in steel. "I'll tell you what!"

"What?" Eric asked nervously.

"We'll have to level this place!" Eric yelled and began smashing the pipes with all his strength.

"Terrible idea!" Eric yelled.

"Come on! Come on!" Tab yelled repeatedly as he demolished the pipes.

"Are you nuts? Mr King said to keep damage to a minimum!"

Blood King could only watch as Tab demolished the area. "Okay, maybe I should start shouting directly in the kid's face."

Speedfist's team then saw a tower falling in the distance.

"What's that?" Sven asked.

"I hear the screeching sounds of metal against metal," Magnus reported as ears appeared on his tentacles. "My guess is Tab is on the loose."

Tab's ability allowed him to turn his entire body to metal, giving the ultimate combination of offence and defence. For this reason, he called himself Real Steel.

Tab continued to demolish the area, much to the dismay of his team.

"No cheap tricks needed; this is a fight the death, a brawl for the ages!" Tab smiled broadly.

"Hold on!" Eric pleaded. "The other team has Range on it."

"Who cares?"

"I thought you said you were thinking; you're just being obstinate."

"Well, we can work this too, I suppose," Jac sighed.

"And your thinking is too flexible, Jac."

Hilde looked at Tab. "Oh, geez. You're going to ruin everything for us."

"Tab doesn't mean any harm. In fact, his approach even placed our strengths," said Jac.

"Bring it on, you villains!" Tab yelled.

"The sound is getting louder," Magnus reported. "Based upon the reverberations, I believe you destroying their surroundings."

"He's a good brawler; they must intend to fight us head on," Ranger concluded.

Sven clenched his fists. "If that's the case, I welcome the approach. It will make it easier for us to deal with them."

"Agreed."

"All right, time to make our class proud!" said Speedfist. "Let's go, Team 3!"

They then rushed in, heading straight towards the noise.

Meanwhile, in San Francisco, a village with wheels on his hands and feet was driving along the road. Hellfire and his sidekicks were hotly pursuing him.

"The villain is continuing to flee down Highway five," one of Hellfire's sidekicks reported.

The villain then jumped into the air, bounced off a truck and landed back on the road.

"Looks like we been successful in driving him towards the harbour."

The villain looked back at them, smiling. "You're not catching me."

However, suddenly landing directly in front of him was Hellfire.

"Hellfire!" said the villain coming to a sudden stop.

He then quickly spun around and jumped over the wall in one of the sidestreets.

"You won't escape!" Hellfire yelled and began to chase after him.

The villain was heading towards the harbour and saw three kids playing by the quayside. "I'll take the hostage."

He then jumped at the kids, but then Hellfire flew in and grabbed him, and they hit the ground. The villain tried to overpower Hellfire by driving at full throttle while he held him back.

"Get out of here! Run!" Hellfire yelled at the kids.

The kids immediately ran for it.

"Damn you!" the villain cursed. "Let go of me!"

"I'm afraid I can't do that," said Hellfire and began to burn his shoulders.

The villain yelled in pain and immediately stopped in his tracks. "No, stop! Please! I'll go quietly!"

Moments later, the police arrived to apprehend the villain, and Hellfire's sidekicks approached the man himself.

"Good work, Hellfire, a clean arrest."

"Collateral damage?" Hellfire asked.

"Little to speak of."

"Yeah, not many people at the harbour. It was a smart plan."

"Of course, it was my plan," Hellfire reminded them.

"Hmm, excuse me," said the small, timid voice.

Hellfire turned around and saw the kids he rescued earlier standing there looking rather nervous.

"What is it?" he said in a somewhat harsh tone.

"We just want to say thank you."

"For saving us."

"Any of you heard it all?" he asked.

"No, sir!" they said in unison.

"Best be off then."

"Bye!" they waved as they ran off.

"Hellfire, sir, we've had another hero asking about the teaming up with you," one of his sidekicks reported. "You want me to make the usual report?"

"Yes, just compile a list of active requests," he said as he looked at his phone.

"Uh, sir, is something wrong?"

"No, just my son taking part in a training exercise at school," said Hellfire dismissively. "He is merely asking for some advice."

The two psychics looked at one another, slightly astonished.

"Since when does Snotlout ask for help?"

"I don't know, but it sounds like he's working with others."

Meanwhile, Speedfist's team were heading towards the direction of Tab's tantrum.

"We're almost there," said Sven looking back at the rest of his team. "You know the plan? Let's all spread out."

"On it," said Speedfist.

"Make it count, Ranger," said Magnus.

Tab, meanwhile, was still demolishing the site, to the dismay of Eric and Hilde.

"Tab, the other team is not going to show up just because you're making a racket," said Hilde. "They'll think it's a trap!"

Jac shook his head. "No, I would head this way if I were them. Get Magnus to figure out what's going on and then have Ranger unleash a powerful attack. If I thought the other team was standing around out in the open—"

Suddenly a huge chunk of ice erupted around and freezing them all in place.

"That's a super strong ice master! So cool!" said Agnar.

"And he made it, so it's not blocking their line of sight; he's gotten better," Fishlegs noted.

"Maybe, but I'm afraid the overlooked one important detail," said Hiccup.

Everyone then looked at him, confused.

"Now we know where Ranger is," said Tab. "The others?"

"Can't see them!" said Eric.

Speedfist was standing on a pipe looking down on the battlefield. 'Even if Jac has used his power to soften the ground and us, it won't matter so long we stick them in place.'

'With their movements inhibited, we'll take them in one swoop,' said Sven looking down the battlefield from his hiding place.

Speedfist then immediately began running towards Class B. "We have you now, villains!"

"Come get some!" Tab yelled.

Speedfist then stepped on a piece of ice and suddenly found himself sinking. "What?"

Sven and Ranger stared as Ranger's ice began to soften along with some of the pipes.

"Blasting us with ice as a cheap move, though if you hadn't used it, we wouldn't have been able to track you," said Jac.

Jac's power allows him to soften anything solid with a single touch, and by simply touching them again, he could harden them though it had no effect on living things. Because of his softening ability, he named himself Mudman.

"Thanks, Jac," said Eric as he freed himself. "Got to love how flexible that power is."

Sven immediately began to fall back. "He must have activated his power the moment the ice appeared. Fast reaction. I would treat for now and wait—"

He then landed on a pipe which immediately melted.

"Found you," said Jac. "I softened a bunch of random stuff around here, so it would be wise to watch your step."

"Class B does an excellent job of brushing off Ranger's ice area attack," said Blood King. "Now to show their stuff."

"Jac guessed that the ice was coming?" Tuffnut stared.

"That guy improvises crazy fast," said Calder. "Is he really that good at reading the situation? I hope our classmates haven't been thrown off."

"Is this what you meant?" Fishlegs asked, looking at Hiccup.

Hiccup nodded. "By now, everyone in school knows Ranger likes to start out with a big attack to immobilise his enemies. Normally such a move would be very effective, but as we can see, it doesn't work, and everyone."

Eric's arms and legs then began spinning like a drill. "Cheers, Jac. I'll handle Sven!"

Eric then immediately launched himself at Sven, who quickly used his tail to guard against his drill-like arms.

'I can't guard against this for long,' Sven winced.

Eric had a similar sort of ability as Heather; the only difference is that it only rotates his arms and legs, meaning he was unable to fly. Because of his rotating arms and legs, he named the hero name Spiral.

Eric kept on pelting Sven with spinning punches, who continued to use his tail to guard. However, the sheer force of the attack was forcing him on the defensive and slowly breaking through his defence.

"Sven!" Speedfist yelled, rushing to his rescue only for the party to be standing and to melt. "Not again!"

He then fell into the melted ice. "Speed is not so good when you are not able to move. I also took the liberty of softening the ground beneath the ice. You're difficult to deal with sorely you trap in the muck for now."

"Are you trying to keep us from working as a team!" said Speedfist as he sank. "Villain! Your wickedness knows no bounds!"

"He really gets into character," Bard noted.

"It's going to be hard for them to get around now," said Hiccup. "Class B's team doesn't have anyone good at reconnaissance, but so long as their opponents are trapped in one place, that's not a disadvantage."

"With his eyes off the table, Rangers utterly powerless," Bard surmised.

"Absolutely correct; all that's left is to overwhelm them," said Cael.

Ranger well aware of their disadvantage as Sven struggled to fend Eric off.

'In this situation, I can't use my power to the best of my abilities,' Ranger grimaced. 'Should I go to the front? Then there would be no want to guard Magnus as he scouts.'

Certainly shooting right by him were four horns, two of which put themselves around Magnus and carried him away.

Ranger immediately spun around, perplexed. "What?"

"I was betting that they were planning to keep Magnus in what they fought was a safe place far from where we are," said Hilde as a pair of horns grew out of her head. "Like hiding behind their so-called ace Ranger."

Hilde's power allowed her to fire off her horns from the top of the head and control. The moment she the control outfall of them at the time. Because of her horns, she named herself Satyr as her hero name.

Magnus was still flying across the ground with another set of horns locked around his arms, carrying him away from Ranger.

"These are stronger than I expected," said Magnus.

"Tab!" Hilde yelled.

A pair of horns then locked themselves beneath Tab's armpits and carried him off towards Ranger.

"Here we go!" he yelled.

Ranger was so preoccupied with Magnus' dilemma that he didn't notice Tab smashing right through his eyes were all and colliding with him, for it was too late.

"Are my teeth chattering?" Tab asked. "I'm so-called that my brain feels as if it's getting frosty. If I weren't on top of things, you would have frozen my steel solid. Think you can beat me in a hand-to-hand fight? You don't stand a chance!"

He then slammed Ranger into the ground as hard as he could.

"Man's been paying attention," Dogsbreath noted. "He's doing what Mr Eret said what I should have done in my match."

"Nah, I bet he's not thinking all that much," said Clueless. "Jac seems to be the one that's calling most of the shots."

Class A's team were certainly getting overwhelmed right from the get-go.

"What's the matter?" Eric asked as he swung another spinning fist. "You keep on dodging!"

"Be good and stay there, okay," said Hilde as she pinned Magnus against the wall with her horns.

Jac had now hardened the ice, so only Speedfist's head poked out, leaving the rest of his body completely encased in ice.

"You are evil incarnate!" Speedfist cursed as he struggled to free himself from the ice.

"Sorry about that," said Jac. "You may be super fast, but there's not much you can do when your legs and arms are stuck together. Anyway, I better go and help Tab."

Jac then began to walk away.

"I don't need to move to use my superspeed, Mudman," said Speedfist. "Let me show you. I call myself Speedy. I won't be constrained!"

His entire body began vibrating, and it only got faster and faster until Speedfist pulled himself out of the ice. Jac's eyes widened as Speedfist seemed to be phasing right through it.

"By vibrating my molecules, I can actually pass through solid objects!" Speedfist yelled and then zoomed towards Jac at an incredible speed. "Now, let me show you what happens when I go at full speed!"

"Seriously?" Jac stared.

Speedfist remembered visiting his family after receiving his Provisional Hero License. Both his mother and brother were extremely proud of him.

"Congrats on getting your Provisional Licence, little bro," said his brother Fastfoot.

"Thanks, Fastfoot," Speedfist smiled.

"Now I think it's time we step up your training," said Fastfoot and looked at their mother. "What do you think, Mum?"

"Well, he's mature would, but I still feel as if it's too soon for that," she admitted.

"Only one way to find out," said Fastfoot, looking back at him. "Speedfist, you know from your training camp that you can improve your powers by working harder. Well, I'm going to teach you a technique our father learned back in the day. By vibrating your molecules, you'll be able to phase through solid objects, and the faster you go, the more powerful your attacks can become. I'm not going to lie to you, the training is very arduous, but if you're up for it, I can teach you."

Speedfist naturally jumped at the chance to train alongside his brother, and he hadn't been lying when he said the training would be arduous. Every day he had to train by attempting to feed through a solid wall and got a few bloodied noses in the process.

"I can move so fast now that I can break the sound barrier and have also increased my insurance," Speedfist informed Jac. "I can maintain this speed 10 minutes straight, and in that time, no one can stop me!"
