"The only information I have acquired is that the Gauntlet's trajectory was headed in the direction of the Unknown Regions." Kallus explained, "A place we have no knowledge."
"She's not alone." Captain Rex added, "Sabine's got Ezra with her kid, Chopper too."
"Jedi and a Mandalorian…" Tristan muttered, "Now there's a partnership unheard of."
"Sabine has spoken highly of Bridger's abilities, and with that I trust they will survive until we find them." Ursa added
"That's the head of a Separatist Super Tactical Droid." Sabine said as she walked up to it
"These people are out there fighting. Fighting a battle that we should be fighting ourselves! The White Fang's raids have been decreasing, and dust shipments have halted."
"We've been called many names before. Criminals, bandits, thieves, terrorists, even anarchists. But we aren't any of those. We're rebels, we fight for others who can't. The White Fang, the SDC, they're subjugating Remnant. Both are evil in their ways. If we don't fight back, who else will?"
"Chop, plug this in, see if we can give it power."
"I'm still skeptical of our new friends." she said to him, "Schnee especially."
"But what if they find out where we're from?"
"1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-9."
RWBY: The Jedi and the Mandalorian
Chapter 6 - The Bad Batch
Premise: The Rebels find a squad of forgotten relics.
Ursa Wren had returned to Yavin 4 to oversee what warriors that were willing to assist the Rebellion. She stood within the req room of the Ghost with Tristan and Fenn Rau at her side. Rex and Zeb were there as well, both on break playing Sabacc.
"...These are all the additional supplies I could provide." Ursa stated as she handed Rau a datapad, "Be sure to use them wisely."
"Understood Mother." Tristan replied with a nod, "I'll inform Senator Mothma."
Ursa then stopped him from leaving, placing a firm hand on his shoulder, "No, Rau you will inform the Senator. Tristan, I need you to assist me in overseeing the transfer."
"Of course Countess." Rau nodded before leaving the room for the Rebel Command Center. Ursa and Tristan followed him, but the former stopped suddenly in the Ghost's main corridor.
"Mother?" Tristan muttered
Ursa then looked at one of the rooms. She could guess all the doors in the corridor held the Ghost crew's living quarters. The room she took notice of was already opened. Letting her curiosity get the best of her, Ursa made her way inside.
The walls of the room were decorated in graffiti art. Along with splashes of various colors, giving the dull atmosphere of the room a brighter and more happier aesthetic. Pictures of stormtrooper helmets crossed out in red, a loth-cat, rebel starbird insignias, and other small works of art were painted on the walls. A mural was plaster on the ceiling of that of the Ghost crew, obviously old as it depicted Kanan still with his eyesight, Sabine with blue and green hair, and a younger Ezra with longer hair.
"So this is where my daughter spent her years away from us…" she muttered as looked around, Tristan followed her
"She never lost her touch." he added as he looked at Sabine's art, eventually stopping at her desk underneath her bunk. There he noticed a holochip left on the table, he picked it up and placed it into a nearby terminal. A holopic then appeared in front of them which showed a younger Sabine with blue and orange hair, her armor lacked several pieces, and her bodysuit was short sleeved. She smiled as she stood proudly in front of a TIE Fighter that was covered in her artwork. Ezra was hanging upside down the TIE's wing. Another picture appeared this time of her, with blue hair, laughing slightly at the sight of Ezra and Zeb being zapped by Chopper. The young Mando was hiding behind the cover, implying she may have had something to do with the situation. Next came a picture of the Ghost's cargo hold covered in paint. Both teens and Zeb were lying on the floor, covered from head-to-toe in paint, Chopper stood off to the side staring at the scene. Then came an image of Sabine with her present-day white and purple hair. She was with Ezra, now with his shorter hairstyle, training with the Darksaber. This was followed by a picture of the two making funny faces.
So many pictures, so many memories. Memories and events that Sabine had inherited. Missions for the Rebellions, vandalizing Imperial propaganda, even the simpler and finer things in life.
...And none of them had her Mandalorian family…
"I see you found your daughter's room."
Both Mandalorians turned to see Hera and Zeb standing in the door. Staring at them with a sense of understanding.
"General Syndulla." Ursa said, straightening herself, "I apologize, we happen to take notice-"
"It's fine." Hera assured her, "I see you found the pictures Sabine took over the years."
"There's... none of us." Ursa muttered quietly, so quiet that Tristan barely heard her
"Could you blame her." he said with guilt, "After what we did."
Ursa sighed with grief, "It's just...this is all my fault. If I didn't leave her after she left the Academy...she would be safe, not missing."
"It's not your fault." Hera said as she walked up to her, "The Empire gave you no choice. If she hadn't left, she'd be gone, along with the rest of Clan Wren. I know it was a difficult choice, but it saved you all."
Ursa couldn't help but smile, "Thank you...for taking care of my daughter."
Hera smiled, along with Zeb. Then a new picture appeared from the holodisk. However instead of one of Sabine, or the rest of the crew. It was of a man and woman with copper skin, holding a young boy as he smiled.
"What's this?" Tristan asked as he looked at it
"Oh, that's Ezra's parents." Zeb answered with a hint of sadness
"Mira and Ephraim Bridger." Hera continued
"Why does Sabine have a picture of them?" Tristan asked with confusion, "Did she meet them?"
"No, she didn't." Hera replied, "In fact, none of us have. Sabine found the picture when she and Ezra returned to his old home on Lothal, it was in their underground shelter where they made their transmissions."
"Transmissions?" Ursa asked with slight interests
Hera then continued with sadness in her face, "Ezra's parents used to create illegal underground broadcasts speaking out against the Empire. They had the support of many of Lothal's citizens, even the former Governor, Ryder Azadi. They hoped that their voices could inspire others and give their son hope. But the Empire then showed up and arrested them. Ezra was orphaned, and lived on the streets for seven years before we picked him up. Over time we made our own transmission that Ezra made. Somehow it made its way into the deepest darkest Imperial prisons. They knew it was them, and they inspired the other prisoners into instigating a riot. Ryder made it out alive, but they were separated and died in the ensuing chaos."
"Poor kid, I didn't know." Tristan muttered
"Eh, Sabine gifted the picture to Ezra as a birthday present." Zeb added, "But the kid keeps it with him at all times. So I assume that's a spare Sabine made."
"Some Empire Day…" Hera muttered
"Bridger was...born on Empire Day?" Ursa asked surprised
"On the exact day of the Proclamation of the New Order." Hera answered, "At least there's something to be happy about on that day now."
"And Sabine gifted it to him?" Tristan question about the picture
"Yeah." Zeb answered, "I'd think that's when their bond started to form. Those two are practically joint at the hip."
"I didn't know they were close..." Tristan muttered before Ursa's wrist comm went off
"Countess, the supplies are ready."
"We're on our way." she answered before looking back at Hera, "Thank you, General Syndulla."
"Of course." Hera replied politely as the two Mandalorians left for their own ship. Kanan then exited from his room and approached the Twi'lek and Lasat. He had been meditating for awhile, trying to find Ezra.
"Any luck?" Hera asked him
"I can sense them both." he said, " They're very far away, almost like a faint candle burning in a dark room. Their bond however is stronger, more focused, intertwined in a way. But conflicted at the same time."
"Well…" Zeb muttered as he rubbed the back of his head, "At least we know they're still alive. Anything else?"
"I sense they've gained new allies as well."
"...And that controls the stabilizers." Ezra said as he pointed to one of the Gauntlet's controls, "It's like driving a speeder or car, I guess."
"Yeah I got it." Jaune replied from the co-pilot's chair
"See? You're a natural." Ezra said to him
"I guess all those years of playing video games paid off." Jaune chuckled
Ezra looked at him funny, "I...don't think that counts as piloting."
"So…" Jaune muttered, changing the topic of their conversation, "What's going on with Sabine?"
Ezra raised an eyebrow, "What do you mean?"
"Are you two...you know...together?"
"What? No!" Ezra answered in a stuttered voice, "We're just friends!"
The young Jedi felt the Force surround him in warmth. He kept himself composed as it pulled at his chest.
"Come on man, do you like her? Jaune asked
Ezra huffed, "I used. It died out a while ago. Besides, she wouldn't accept me."
"How so?"
Ezra rubbed the back of his head, "It's complicated...our people have a...rough history."
Jaune looked confused, "What do you mean-"
"Oh look at the time!" Ezra cut him as he went for the door, "Call if you have trouble!"
"Don't wait too long!" Jaune teased
"Look who's talking!" Ezra retorted
Once he left, Jaune simply sighed in amusement.
Ezra sighed as he left the cockpit. He tried to suppress the warm feeling in the Force that was surrounding him in, but to no success. However this changed when he sensed something new.
Have accepted both RWBY and JNPR's help, for the time being, both himself and Sabine to keep them in the dark on what was beyond Remnant. This included, but not limited to: the Rebellion, the Empire, the Jedi, Mandalorians, and anything they deemed 'questionable'. This included Ezra's lightsaber and the Darksaber. After talking it over, both teens agreed to keep their blades hidden out of fear of questions.
Only now, Ezra heard the call of the kyber crystal in his weapon call out to him. He made his way to his quarters where he hid the weapon for the time being. Before entering he briefly went over to the door to Sabine's room, sure enough it didn't open, meaning it was still locked. Ezra then turned back to his door as it opened. The room was as big and identical as Sabine's, with a similar layout except reversed. It seemed dull and boring, with little decoration compared to the Mandalorian's. There was a shelf that held several helmets, mainly Imperial ones that he had collected. A desk was off to the side that held spare clothes, tools, and most importantly his lightsaber.
The only thing off about his quarters was that a certain girl with red and black hair was holding his traditional weapon. All while admiring its emerald green blade. Once Ezra stood in the door, she took notice of his presence.
"Careful." he said while looking at her, "You'll cut your arm off."
Ruby panicked slightly before turning off the weapon, "Uh, Ezra-! I-I'm sorry-! I didn't mean-! I-I thought I heard something a-and I saw this-! I- I- I…"
She then held the weapon out to him while looking down.
"I think this is yours…" she muttered glumly
Ezra took the lightsaber from her and inspected briefly before attaching it to his belt.
"I-I should go." Ruby said as she saw herself out, only for Ezra to stop her
"Its alright Ruby." he said , not sounding mad at all, "I'm not mad. Just...don't tell anyone that I have this."
Ruby looked at him in confusion, "Why? It's your weapon."
"It's more than that."
Suddenly, a jolt shook the Gauntlet, causing the two to fall on the ground.
"Are you alright?" Ezra asked her as he helped her on her feet
"I'm good." she said, "Thanks."
"Come on!"
The two made their way back to the cockpit, sooned joined by Sabine and the rest of their friends. Jaune was still in the co-pilot chair flying the ship.
"What was that?" Sabine asked as she got in the pilot's seat
"I don't know, something must've hit us." Jaune replied as Sabine took control of the ship
"Chopper?" Ezra asked the droid, who plugged into a terminal before grumbling
"Ok Chop's picking a large object on our scopes." Erza announced
Sabine then looked at the scanners, "We've got a massive object coming in from the rear."
A shadow then covered the windscreen of the Gauntlet before quickly disappearing. A massive bird-like creature then flew ahead and past the ship. It then turned around, ready to engage the Gauntlet.
"It...looks like some type of Grimm…" Pyrrha muttered
"None I've ever seen." Weiss added
"Whatever it is, it's moving into attack position." Sabine declared, "Hang on!"
The Gauntlet swerved out of the way of the creature's wings as they both passed. Sabine then turned the ship around and began chasing it at full speed.
"I have a lock." she muttered before she opened fire. The laser bolts from the Gauntlet's forward guns hit their target respectively, but did no damage whatsoever. Instead they appeared to hit a shield of some kind.
"Hard-light shielding on a Grimm...that's incredible…" Weiss muttered in astonishment
"Maybe it swallowed hard-light dust by accident?" Blake suggested
Ren agreed with her theory, "It's possible."
Chopper then grumbled something while waving his arms around frantically. Only Ezra and Sabine seemed to know what the old C1 astromech was saying.
"What do you mean the creature has a ray shield?" Ezra questioned him in confused and shocked manner
"He's not wrong." said Sabine, "Scans indicate it has some sort of ray shield covering it."
"What's a ray shield?" Ruby asked curiously
"It's...complicated." Ezra replied
Weiss looked at them funny, "What's that supposed to mean?"
"Ok we don't have time for this." Sabine ignored her questioned before looking at Chopper, "Chop, how far are from where that signal the Tactical Droid head gave off
Chopper then grumbled before Ezra translated what he said.
"One klick, tops." Ezra said, "But the terrain and trees here make it impossible to land."
"Alright, we need to take out that bird first." Sabine announced, "Any suggestions?"
"We can take it down!" said Nora, "We took out Nevermore before during our initiation!"
"You stand a chance against it as long as its ray shield is still up." Sabine countered
"I got it!" Ezra shouted, "We have rocket launchers in the armory. Designed to take on shields."
"Think they could work?" Sabine asked
"I hope so." Ezra replied, "Is anyone here a good shot?"
All eyes then fell on Ruby, who simply smiled and rubbed her arm.
"I am…" she muttered
"Alright, come with me."
Ezra and Ruby opened a hatch on the roof of the Gauntlet before climbing out. They immediately felt the wind in the air as they stood on top of the ship.
"You good!" Ezra shouted so Ruby could hear him clearly
"I'm good!" Ruby replied as she stood up, "Whoa, we're really high up."
"Don't worry we'll be fine." Ezra assured, "Sabine, get it's attention."
"On it." she replied before firing at the Grimm. The laser hit the side of the creature, angering it as it let out a screech louder than a TIE fighter flying by. It then flew at the Gauntlet at full speed.
"It's heading our way." Ezra announced, "Ruby, take the shot."
Ruby took the rocket launcher they brought with them and aimed it at the Grimm. However the wind in the air, combined with the unstableness of the Gauntlet hovering in the air was making it more difficult for the young huntress.
"Ruby…" Ezra muttered nervously
"I'm trying!" she exclaimed while struggling to aim the weapon, "I-I don't have a clear shot!"
Ezra looked down for a moment, he had an idea. He sighed quietly before coming to a decision.
"Ruby, fire the rocket!" he shouted
"But, I-"
"Just do it! Trust me!" the young Jedi exclaimed
Ruby did as he said, taking aim, she fired the rocket at the Grimm. Sure enough, it was off course a bit. As she watched, Ezra held his hand up as he closed his eyes. He pictured the rocket divert off its course and back towards the creature. Sure enough, the Force changed the rocket's trajectory back to the Grimm. It tore through the creature's ray shield and hit it straight in the shoulder. The Grimm screeched in pain, as it struggled to stay in the air.
Ruby sighed in relief at her marksmanship. She then looked at Ezra who smiled at her before they returned to the cockpit.
"Not bad, kid." Sabine said to Ruby
"Thanks." she replied, "Didn't think I could hit it."
"Where'd the Grimm go?" Ezra asked
Jaune then looked up from the scanners, "It looks like it flew away. Probably back to its nest or something."
"Well wherever it went, it's gonna show up again." said Sabine, "Chop, is there a safe place to land the ship?"
Chopper grumbled a bit while turning to face her.
"Not that far." Ezra translated, "There's a clearing nearby suitable for landing the ship. Jaune, you have the controls, Chopper will guide you. I have to speak with Sabine about something."
Jaune looked at him worried, "You sure that's a good idea?"
"I'm sure, right Chopper?"
The droid then grumbled as its arms sunk down.
"Good." Ezra said, "Come on Sabine."
Sabine shrugged before getting out of the pilot's chair and followed Ezra out of the cockpit. Once the door closed, Weiss spoke up.
"Those two are hiding something." she declared with a frown on her face
"What was your first clue?" Blake said in a deadpan tone
"Well we just met them." Jaune said while looking out the ship's canopy, "Can't expect full trust at first."
"Jaune's right." Pyrrha added, "If they're hiding something, they have a reason why."
"Well I still don't trust them." Weiss huffed as she crossed her arms
"Same here." Blake added
Ruby thought for a moment before speaking, "I trust them."
"I know." Weiss retorted, "And that's what worries us."
"Well, why don't you ask their ugly robot?" Blake suggested
Chopper spun around and grumbled something at her if insulted.
"Oh don't bother." Weiss sighed, "We won't understand a thing that piece of junk says."
Chopper then produced a third arm that fired a bolt of electricity at Weiss. The heiress stuttered at being shocked before falling on her bottom all while Chopper and Nora chuckled.
"It looks like he doesn't like you." Nora laughed
"The feeling is mutual." Weiss groaned, "But seriously, what could they be hiding?"
"I have a feeling I know..." said Yang, her face holding a sly smirk, "...And I can smell it in the air."
Ezra and Sabine stood within the latter's room talking. The art on the walls was joined by new pieces of the Mando's artist talents, while the mural of her respective families was updated. Her father Alrich was standing behind her mother and Tristan, his hand on both their shoulders. While in the center, Sabine was beginning the outlines for herself and Ezra, but it seemed unfinished.
Ezra told her about him finding Ruby in his room and discovering his lightsaber. She seemed surprised and worried at the revelation.
"...Does she know about-?" she asked him but was cut off
"No." Ezra said firmly, "She doesn't. She gave me back the weapon and hasn't brought it up since."
Sabine sighed in relief, "That's good to hear."
Ezra then gave her a knowing look, "Sabine, we have to tell them."
"Absolutely not." Sabine retorted, "If they found out, we're dead meat."
"You and I both know what we were doing once we allowed them on the Gauntlet." Ezra said to her, "They're gonna find out sooner or later. Besides, I think I know what those numbers are."
"I'm listening." Sabine muttered as she folded her arms
"Remember Seelos?" Ezra asked, "When Ahsoka asked us to find Rex?"
"Yeah, what about it?" she questioned before gasping in realization, "You don't think-"
"I do." Ezra replied, "Sabine, we have to tell them...eventually."
The young Mando sighed before nodding, "Alright, I'll think about it."
Just then, Chopper came in via comms and told them that they were now landing. They left Sabine's room and were soon joined by both RWBY and JNPR. They all made their way to the ramp and exited the ship. The clearing was surrounded by a dense wall of pine trees, the sun hung low in the sky, implying that it was past mid-day.
"Where to now?" Ren asked out loud as Nora looked at the head of the Tactical droid, which was still saying the same numbers.
"1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-9…"
"According to this thing: anywhere." she answer him
"1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-9…"
"Ugh, won't that thing shut up already?" Yang groaned, "It's giving me a headache."
"1-4-0-9. 1-4-0-"
Suddenly, the head stopped transmitting, gaining everyone's attention.
"Hmm, looks like it listened to you." Jaune said jokingly
"Maybe it's outta power?" Blake guessed
"Or something is nearby." Ren added, "Something we're looking for."
"Not something…" Sabine said while looking forward, "Someone…"
Everyone looked confused before looking at where Sabine was. Across the clearing, standing just at the edge of the treeline, were two figures wearing similar armor that was mainly dark grey and red in color, but both seemed different. The first seemed a bit more cybernetic, as his lower legs were prosthetic, and his lower right arm was replaced with what appeared to be a tool of some kind. He had a black cloth around his waist with a big utility belt, a backpack with an antenna on his back, along with a holster that held a small blaster. His helmet has a narrow black visor and mouth piece that looked like a frown, and logo displaying the number '99' in a unique design, while his upper left chest plate had a skull symbol.
The second, while in armor, seemed a bit more feminine in appearance. Her armor design was similar but different only by a bit. She wore a black shoulder pauldron that covered her left shoulder, had two holsters with the same pistols, a knife attached to her lower right leg, a smaller utility belt, and a pouch on her left breastplate. Her helmet looked similar, but her visor was 't' shaped much like Sabine's, but was connected to the mouth piece that looked like a frown with teeth, along with an antenna sticking out the left side. Red accents outlined her visor, chest plate and her arms, while the left side of the helmet was colored in white and looked like the jawline of a human skull. The same logos were also on her armor, with the '99' symbol on the front top of her helmet, and the skull on her left shoulder plate. She carried some energized bow in her hand.
"Who are you? What do you want?" the first one said in a rather gruff voice, which was muffled by him wearing his helmet
"We're looking for someone." Weiss replied as she analyzed the figure's appearance
"Heh, too bad, there's no one out here." the second figure chuckled lightly, her voice had some accent
Ruby then stepped forward, "Hey, does the number 1-4-0-9 mean anything to you?"
The man stepped back slightly as if surprised as he gripped his holster weapon. The girl grew tense as well but not as much.
"What did you say?" the man demanded
"Uh, 1-4-0-9?" Ruby repeated
The man looked down slightly in thought, "I haven't heard those digits in...Well that is my birth number!"
"Birth number?" Pyrrha muttered
While the huntsmen were confused at what they were talking about. Ezra and Sabine looked at one another, both nodding before looking back.
The man then looked at the two, immediately recognizing them, "You! You're a Mando!"
He then grabbed his blaster and aimed it at them, while the girl aimed her bow.
"Who are you!?" he shouted, "Are you after Omega!?"
"What? No!" Ruby shuttered, "We're not after anyone!"
"Yeah!" Yang added as her eyes turned red, "Stop pointing that weapon at my sister!"
"Lies!" he shot back, "How did you find us bounty hunters!? I know that ship is a Kom'rk-class fighter!"
"Whoa! Whoa! Hey! Wait!" Ezra injected as he stepped forward, holding hands up at both respective parties, "We're not looking for anyone! Look, my name's Ezra, and that's Sabine. These are our friends, they're huntsmen."
"In training." Nora added
Both figures lowered their weapons and looked at one another before looking back at them.
"Ezra…" he muttered in a low tone, "As in...Ezra Bridger?"
Ezra was surprised that he knew his last name, "You know who I am?"
"I do." the man replied as he holstered his weapon, while the girl retracted her bow, "Uh, sorry about that. It's been awhile since we've seen outsiders."
RWBY and JNPR then relaxed a bit, with Weiss lowering her rapier but refusing to sheath it.
"Well...it's nice to meet you...1-4-0-9." Ruby said to him
The two figures then remove their helmets. The man had pale skin and brown eyes with no hair at all save for his eyebrows. The back section of his helmet remained attached to his head, implying that it was another part of his cybernetics. The girl was no older than either Ezra or Sabine, had light tan skin, brown eyes, and short messy light blonde hair, a red headband tied around her head, with the number '99' on it.
"My name's Echo." he introduced himself, "This is Omega. Come with us, this area is known to be filled with Grimm quite often."
Echo and Omega led the kids into the forest, both having re-donned their helmets.
"So how do you know Bridger?" Weiss asked skeptically
"It's a long story." Echo replied, "We'll explain everything once we get back to our camp."
"What are you two doing this far out here anyway?" Omega asked Ezra and Sabine rather innocently
"What's that supposed to mean?" Weiss questioned curiously
"It's...a long story." Sabine replied, "We didn't expect to run into people like you."
Echo caught on what she was talking about. Before glancing at Ezra who gestured at his lightsaber. The young Jedi then cocked his head in RWBY and JNPR's direction and made a small slashing motion across his neck.
"Ah, I get it." Omega said, catching on as well
"What are you talking about?" Blake asked, "Seriously, what's going on?"
"We'll tell you later." Ezra said to her, "I promise."
Eventually, the group arrived at another clearing. This one was a bit smaller, several crates and makeshift tents were made, while an unlit campfire was in the center. A ship was docked as well, its wings folded upwards.
A hulking man in armor was lifting a gonk droid as if it were a weight and took notice of them all. He wore modified Katarn-class clone armor with the same color scheme of grey and red, a small utility backpack, and a knife attached to his leg. He had tan skin, some slight stubble, scars on the left side of his face, his right eye was grey in color, while his left one was whiter.
"Hey Hunter!" he shouted at the ship with a gruff yet childish voice that sounded somewhat similar to that of Echo's, "Echo and the kid are back! They brought guests!"
Just then, three figures exited the ship, all wearing similar armor. The first wore modified Katarn-class armor similar to the big guy's, but seemed more traditional in design to that of a Republic Commando. His helmet was similar to Omega's but seemed a bit longer in the front, the visor wasn't a 't', and didn't have an antenna. The color scheme was the same as well, and even had the skull design on the left side of the helmet. A large tactical backpack was on his back, and a knife was attached to his lower left arm.
The second wore modified Clone Scout Trooper armor that was more light grey with red accents, and had several components from the Katarn-class. A brown utility belt with brown straps were on his waist that held his two holsters and blasters, and a smaller tactical backpack with a antenna sticking out of it. His helmet, unlike his peers, appeared to have goggle-like lenses that showed his brown eyes; a yellowish lense was folded up just above his eyes.
The last figure's armor seemed to be modified for marksmanship. It seemed lighter and not as bulky. The helmet had a black visor with a circular cut out for a sniper scope that was outlined with a target, an antenna stuck out of the right side of the helmet.
The trio followed by the hulking friend walked up to Echo as they removed their helmets. The leader had long black with a red headband with a skull imprinted on it. He had fair skin and brown eyes, while the left side of his face was darker and outlined like that of a skull. The second had more fair skin and brown eyes. His hair was brown and shorter, and the goggles that were thought to be part of his helmet were actually separate and stayed on his eyes. The third had tanned skin and grey cut into a military cut and brown eyes. A scar resembling a target was around his right eye.
"Echo." the first one said in a slightly gruff voice, "I see Omega found friends in the woods?"
"Actually, we both found them." Echo replied as he and Omega removed their helmets
The hulking man then noticed Sabine and approached gawking, "Ah, is that what I think it is? A real Mandalorian?"
Sabine sighed in frustration, "Yes, I'm Mandalorian…"
"What's a Mandalorian?" Nora asked
"We'll tell you later Nora." Ezra answered
"But-"
"Nora. Later." Ezra repeated
The hulk then noticed the huntsmen and looked at them, "Who are these fellas?"
The man with goggles then spoke and he analyzed them, "Huntsmen-in-training, adolescent in age. Six females, two males. Seven humans, one faunus."
"Well. He's got a keen eye." Yang muttered
"Thank you, I'll take that as a compliment." he replied
Echo then spoke again, "This is Hunter, Tech, Wrecker, and Crosshair, the rest of our squad. Fellas, this huntsmen Teams RWBY and JNPR. Their friends here are Sabine Wren, and Ezra Bridger."
The squad all looked at one another before speaking.
"Wait, you mean, Mira and Ephraim's son?" Hunter asked
"The little kid?" Wrecker added
"In the flesh." Echo answered
"So you do know my parents." Ezra said to them, "Uh, how?"
"We'll explain everything kid." Hunter assured him, "Though, I suggest it be between you and your Mando friend here. The rest will have to wait here."
"Alright." Ezra replied
"Follow me." Hunter said as he turned around, "Omega, Wrecker. Keep our guests company."
"Ok!" Omega replied before turning turning to the huntsmen
"So…" Wrecker said to them, "What kinda weapons ya got."
Ruby smiled and pulled out her scythe, causing Wrecker to gawk once more.
"Oh, I like you already kid!" he shouted, "Hahaha!"
Ezra and Sabine couldn't help but smile at hearing Wrecker laugh. But deep down they realized that they're problems were only being built up. This squad was a bunch of average soldiers…
...they were clones…from beyond Remnant.
This was big, now they had to deal with them, and perhaps tell RWBY and JNPR about their home…
...and the Empire...
Next on the Jedi and the Mandalorian...
Chapter 7 - The Nightingale
