Chapter 22: V is Venus
Zoisite and Kunzite stood before Queen Beryl. Queen Beryl knew that it was going to be very important.
"I have a plan on not only getting the final Rainbow Crystal but take from the Sailor Guardians and Dragon knight." Said Zoisite.
"The Sailor Guardians?" asked Queen Beryl.
"They're the ones who have the spell that turn the 7 Great Monsters back to their human form, they're all members of Fairy Tail." Muttered Zoisite.
"I see…" muttered Queen Beryl.
"Don't worry I will help Zoisite to secure them." Said Kunzite.
"Very Well proceed." Said Queen Beryl.
At the Fairy Tail Guild Hall, Cana wads doing her reading.
"Just one more." Said Levy.
"Yeah." Said Lisanna.
"Found it." Said Cana, "It's in Hargeon."
At the same time Natsu was talking to one of the members.
"Really a salamander." Said Natsu.
"That's what I heard anyways." Said the member.
"Where is it?" asked Natsu.
"In Hargeon." Said the member.
"All right!" said Natsu, "Happy!"
"Aye?" asked Happy.
"We're heading to Hargeon!" said Natsu.
"Wait you're headed to Hargeon too?" asked Lisanna.
"Is that where the next Rainbow Crystal is?" asked Natsu.
Lisanna nodded.
"All right!" said Natsu.
"Just don't destroy any more buildings." Said Erza.
"Aye…" said both Happy and Natsu.
The train ride there was of course hampered by Natsu mortal enemy, transpiration.
"Don't worry it will be fine." Assured Lisanna.
"So Happy why are you going to Hargeon?" asked Luna.
"Oh there's a salamander there and that's like a lizard right… so Natsu's going to see if it's Igneel." Said Happy.
Little reminder, Igneel was Natsu's surrogate father who was a dragon.
Erza, Cana, Levy and Luna all stared at Happy.
"Should we tell them?" whispered Levy.
"If we do then they will never learn." Whispered Erza.
They got the train station, the train ride really took a lot out of Natsu so Erza had to carry him out.
Once Natsu was back on his feet they parted ways.
"All right! I'm going to go find Igneel, see you guys around." Said Natsu.
"Good luck with finding the Crystal." Said Happy as they ran and flew away.
"We'll search around the city." Said Luna.
The others nodded.
They began to comb the city that was when the Wand started beeping.
"We're near." Said Erza.
They followed the beeping to a large crowd of girls all fawning over a guy.
"You feel that?" asked Erza.
"Yeah, it's clearly a charm spell." Said Cana.
Lisanna was aiming the wand at the guy using it.
"It's him." Said Lisanna.
"Great…" said Erza.
That was when they heard a voice shout "Igneel!"
Of course that person was Natsu and he saw the man and his face plummeted.
"What… who are you?" asked Natsu.
That was when the girls started attacking him.
"How dare you he's the great Salamander!" yelled one of the girls.
"Now, now girls." Said the rainbow Crystal carrier, "Calm down."
They all stopped.
"Here you go." He said giving Natsu an autograph.
"No thanks." Said Natsu.
They started beating him up once again.
"Stop it!" yelled Lisanna getting in between them.
"Hey he's the one who was disrespectful to him!" yelled one of the girls.
"That doesn't mean you can beat him up." Said Lisanna.
The rainbow Crystal Carrier realized Lisanna wasn't under, he looked at her and winked.
However she just glared at him back.
"Well I guess I can't win them all." He mused to himself, "Now all of you are invited to a party tonight on my yacht!"
All of the girls turned to him with hearts replacing their eyes.
"Okay!" they said.
"See you all there." He said, "Red Carpet!"
He snapped his fingers as a fire spell carried him away.
Soon all of the charmed girls parted ways… all but one. She was a blonde girl with hair partially put into a side ponytail that was tied with a blue ribbon. She wore a white and blue sleeveless stop and blue skirt.
"Is he all right?" asked the girl.
"Yeah he's fine." Said Lisanna.
"I really should thank him." Said the girl, "If it wasn't for him I would be under his Charm still…"
"So you became aware." Said Erza approaching the girl.
"Yeah if it wasn't for him." Said the girl.
That was when the girl noticed Cana, or rather her guild mark.
"Wait! You're a member of Fairy Tail?" she asked.
"We all are." Said Levy
"Is it okay if I treat to lunch?" she asked.
"Really thanks!" said Natsu perking up.
"Stupid question but did you two remember to bring money?" asked Luna.
Both Natsu and Happy sweat drop.
"Why do I have a bad feeling…" sighed the girl.
They all went to restaurant. Natsu and Happy were pigging out while Cana was asking for more booze.
The girl sighed.
"There goes the money I saved." She sighed.
"Thank you so much." Said Lisanna.
"You quite welcome, I've been wanting to join Fairy Tail for a while actually." Said the girl, "Oh and I'm Lucy by the way."
"I'm Lisanna." Said Lisanna.
"Cana." Said Cana.
"I'm Levy." Said Levy.
"Erza Scarlet." Said Erza.
"And I'm Luna." Said Luna.
Lucy squealed again.
"Sorry… it's just I heard so much about you… they're calling you the Golden Team of Fairy Tail…" she said.
"Yeah." laughed Lisanna.
"If you want to join we'll be happy to take you with us." Said Erza.
"Sorry I can't." sighed Lucy, "I have a few loose ends I need to tie up… but when I do it can I join."
"Sure of course." Said Erza, "Just come to Magnolia any time."
Lucy nodded and smiled.
"So what kind of Magic you use?" asked Lisanna.
"I'm a Celestial Mage." Said Lucy.
"How many keys do you have?" asked Luna.
"I have contracts with 7, but I just bought one today…" explained Lucy.
She held up the keys, Luna saw that four of the keys were gold.
"How do you treat your spirits?" asked Luna.
Lucy smiled at that question.
"I treat them like their my friends." Said Lucy.
Luna smiled when she said that.
"That's good." Said Luna.
""So what are you doing in here?" asked Lucy.
"We have a job here right now." Said Erza, "We're trying to find something."
"Really what?" asked Lucy.
"It's better if we don't say." Said Erza.
"But Natsu and Happy are looking for Igneel." Said Lisanna.
"Oh year you mentioned him… what does he look like." Said Lucy.
"Well he's big, scaly and he breathes fire." Listed Nasty.
"You sound like you're describing a dragon." Said Lucy.
"We are." Said Natsu.
"What… what!" yelled Lucy.
"Yeah, I thought a big lizard would be him…" said Natsu, "But it wasn't…"
"Don't you think it would be strange that a dragon would be in the middle of a city." Said Lucy.
Both Natsu and Happy froze.
"We didn't tell them hoping they would figure it out." Said Erza.
"Yeah, they didn't." sighed Levy.
"You really are hopeless." Sighed Cana.
"What time is it?" asked Lucy, "Oh sorry I have to go meet my friend."
Lucy began to leave.
"Thanks for the lunch." Said Cana.
"Hope to see you again soon." Said Lisanna.
Lucy paid the bill and left the restaurant.
Luna watched her leave.
"Is something wrong?" asked Lisanna.
"No it's fine." Said Luna, "I just got the feeling like I should keep my eye on her for some reason."
The other exacted glances.
Sometime later in the park, Lucy was reading the latest issue of Sorcerer's Weekly, she laughed at Fairy Tail's antics.
Then she turned a page and found interviews with the Sailor Guardians.
"Oh wow… I can't even tell they're the same people." Said Lucy, "Then again I've been photographed many times and I can barely reconcile myself."
She laughed as she read the interviews.
"I hope I can join soon." Said Lucy.
That was when the Rainbow Crystal carrier came out of the bushes.
"I've been looking for you!" he said.
"Salamander"! she yelled.
"Hey…" he said dejectedly.
She got up and started pointing at him.
"You're Charm Spell isn't' going to work on me…" said Lucy, It's weakness is knowing about it."
"Is that so." Said "Salamander" (since that was his alias), "Oh well I was hoping to put in a good word…"
"What do you mean?" asked Lucy.
"I'm a member of Fairy Tail.." said "Salamander".
"Actually I was invited to join already." Said Lucy, "I'm not a member yet, but I will be."
"Salamander" froze.
"Seriously?" he asked.
"Do you like boats?" he asked.
However Lucy saw her friend.
"Hey!" she called out and run towards her friend.
"Salamander" looked at her friend.
It was a white moon cat.
"You're ditching me for a cat!" he yelled out.
"Yeah…" said Lucy, "But sorry I have to go."
"Who is that guy?" asked the moon cat.
"I don't want to know." Answered Lucy.
"Salamander" stood dejectedly.
Once "Salamander" was out of site the moon cat asked Lucy, "So how was shopping?"
"They didn't have much, but they did have a Nikora gate key." Said Lucy.
"That's great." Said the moon cat, "You've wanted one for a while."
Lucy sighed and stopped.
The white moon cat stopped and turned around.
"Is something wrong?" he asked.
"They're in town." Said Lucy.
"What?" asked the moon cat.
"I met them… in fact when they heard I wanted to join they invited me." Said Lucy.
"You don't think…" said the white.
"It's here in town… and they're looking for it." Said Lucy.
"The final Rainbow Crystal." Said white moon cat.
Lucy nodded.
"Hey Lucy…" said the white moon cat.
"What?" asked Lucy.
"You didn't act like a fan girl… did you?" asked the white moon cat.
Lucy sweat dropped, "No… of course not…" said Lucy.
The white moon cat stared at her knowing she was lying prompting Lucy to sigh.
Meanwhile Zoisite poured energy into the dark crystal revealing "Salamander".
"Looks like he's the final one." Said Kunzite.
"Hopefully Fairy Tail already knows who he is…" said Zoisite.
Back in Hargeon.
"Don't worry I'll make sure he doesn't destroy anything this time." Said Happy.
"Good." Replied Erza.
"Just because I destroyed a church last time…" muttered Natsu.
Erza glared at him.
"We'll meet you later." Said Lisanna.
They began to search for "Salamander"
"He's having a yacht party tonight isn't he?" asked Luna.
"Yeah, but it's better to find him before then." Said Erza, "Besides I don't think any good will come from that party."
"She's right." Sighed Levy, "If he's using a Charm Spell then chances are he's got something else planned…"
The others nodded and continued the search.
Meanwhile "Salamander" was searching for more girls for the party.
However he began to think about both Lucy and Lisanna.
"Okay so the blonde must be a mage…" thought "Salamander", "But what about that white haired girl."
He froze…
"Wait… a second I've seen her face before…" he thought.
That was when he froze.
"Oh no… she's a real member of Fairy Tail!" he thought, "Did someone already catch on!"
"Not to your little scheme… no… it's not that." Said a voice.
"Salamander" turned around and saw Zoisite.
"Who are you?" asked "Salamander".
Nearby the Golden Team got the trace of the Rainbow Crystal.
However they saw that Zoisite already got there hid behind a corner.
"Great." Muttered Cana.
"Transform now!" said Luna.
"Moon Prism Power!" called out Lisanna.
"Mercury Power!" called out Levy.
"Mars Power!" called out Erza.
""Jupiter Power!" called out Cana.
"Make-up!" called out all four.
With that they transformed into their Guardian Forms.
That was when the Sailor Guardians showed up in front of Zoisite and "Salamander"
"Oh crap!" yelled Salamander noticed the guild logos, "More members of Fairy Tail!"
"I am the pretty sailor-suited guardian of love and justice Sailor Moon! In the name of the moon I will punish you!" called out Sailor Moon.
"I am the pretty sailor-suited guardian of love and intelligence Sailor Mercury! Douse your head in water and repent!" called out Sailor Mercury.
"I am the pretty sailor-suited guardian of Fire and Passion, Sailor Mars! In the name of Mars, I will chastise you!" called out Sailor Mars.
"I am the pretty sailor-suited guardian of love and courage Sailor Jupiter! I'll make you feel so much regret it will be make you feel numb!" called out Sailor Jupiter.
"I'm so sorry! I'll stop pretending to be Salamander!" yelled "Salamander", "I'm sorry I've been posing as a member of Fairy Tail!"
"What?" asked Sailor Moon.
"Wait a second!" yelled Sailor Mercury, "You've been posing as Natsu?"
This made the Sailor Guardians sweat drop.
"Seriously?" asked Sailor Jupiter.
"Yes… I was posing as the legendary Salamander of Fairy Tail." Sighed "Salamander".
"You know that guy your brainwashed fan girls beat up…" said Sailor Jupiter.
"You saw that…" mumbled "Salamander".
"Yes and that man was the real Salamander." Explained Sailor Mars.
"Salamander" stood there slack jawed.
"How… how many members of Fairy Tail are in this town right now?" asked "Salamander".
"You don't want to know." Said Sailor Moon.
Zoisite on the other hand knew it was time to take the final Rainbow Crystal, he shot the energy at "Salamander" and it revealed in his chest the Violet Rainbow Crystal.
He suddenly erupted in Violet flames as Zoisite removed the crystal.
Son the fire cleared away revealing a monster with hands that were on fire.
"Burnwar!" said Zoisite.
The Sailor Guardians were ready to fight.
Then both Zoisite and Burnwar both started running.
"Get back here!" yelled Sailor Mars.
Happy and Dragon Knight were watching.
"Let's go!" said Dragon Knight.
"Aye!" said Happy.
However another mysterious figure was watching this chase as well.
They chased Burnwar into an area of the docks that seemed abandon.
"You think you can beat me! The great Burnwar?" asked Burnwar.
That was when suddenly a black dome surrounded them.
"What?" asked Sailor Mercury.
That was when an image of Kunzite appeared.
"Hello members of Fairy Tail, I'm Kunzite the last of the Four Kings…" said Kunzite's image, "If you want to live give us your Rainbow Crystal now!"
"Like we would!" yelled Sailor Jupiter.
"We're not giving them." Said Sailor Moon.
"I doubt you can defeat Burnwar." Said Kunzite, "I wont' let you leave even if you defeat him…"
"We'll figure something out." Said Sailor Mercury.
"We should be focused on him first." Said Sailor Mars.
"Yeah." Said Sailor Moon.
Kunzite chuckled from where he watched.
They didn't know the properties of the dome.
Meanwhile Dragon Knight was following his nose. When he had to dodge an attack from Zoisite.
"Looking for this?" asked Zoisite holding the Violet Rainbow Crystal.
"Give it here!" said Dragon Knight.
"You think I would just hand it over." Said Zoisite.
Dragon Knight glared at him.
"Now give me your crystal… and I won't hurt you too badly." Said Zoisite.
Dragon Knight laughed.
"sad to say but I already gave my Crystal to Fairy Tail." Said Dragon Knight.
"What!" yelled Zoisite.
"I still want it though." Said Dragon Knight.
He lit his fist on fire while Zoisite created a sword made out of crystal.
"All right! You're move." Said Zoisite.
Back in the dome, Burn War was attack them with fire and lots of it.
HE would often miss for some reason.
"I don't think he's a very smart one." Said Sailor Jupiter with a sweat drop.
"I don't know…" said Sailor Moon, "Is just me or is it getting hard to breathe in here?"
Sailor Mercury looked at the fires and realized that they were getting smaller.
"It's running our of air!" said Sailor Mercury.
"Are you sure?" asked Sailor Mars.
"Mars you can use any of your attacks." Said Sailor Moon.
Sailor Mars nodded.
"Don't worry I have something up my sleeve." Said Sailor Mercury.
"Bubble Spray!" she called out.
The entire dome was covered in fog.
That was when Sailor Mercury used Solid Script and created the word Air that was very briefly seen in the fog before decapitating.
"Good work Mercury!" said Sailor Moon.
"Do you think you can keep it up?" said Sailor Jupiter.
"I don't know…" said Sailor Mercury breathing heavily, "I just feel exhausted all of a sudden…"
Sailor Mars narrowed her eyes.
"I wonder." Said Sailor Mars.
That was when she requiped one of her swords.
"This dome is also draining our magic…" she said.
"Oh no…" said Sailor Moon.
"What do we do?" asked Sailor Mercury.
"I don't know yet…" said Sailor Mars.
Thankfully Burnwar was very confused by this…
Much like Mirreow, he was a bit dumb…
Elsewhere, Zoisite and Dragon Knight's fight was getting intense.
Zoisite was relentless in the attacks and was just pounding him.
That was when he got close enoguh and used the illusionary Cherry Blossoms to knock off the helmet.
Little did they know Queen Beryl was watching Zoisite's fight.
"It can't be…" said Queen Beryl, "That man…"
Back with the fight. Zoisite stopped when he saw Dragon Knight's face.
"You… you're Natsu Dragneel." Said Zoisite.
"That's right." Muttered Natsu.
"I have no idea why you're dragon knight but that's not important." Said Zoisite, "Now that I know you're a member it's better to kill you."
He grabbed his helmet and put it back on.
Zoisite was now relentless in the attacks. All Dragon Knight could do was dodge.
That was when Zoisite managed to get a good hit in and he was forced against a wall.
"Time to die!" yelled Zoisite.
Before either Zoisite or Dragon Knight could do any thing a voice shouted "Crescent Beam!"
The attack hit Zoisite and Dragon Knight it was better to check on the Sailor Guardians so he ran.
However he noticed the Violet Rainbow Crystal on the ground so he picked it up.
Zoisite meanwhile looked towards his attacker and saw a figure dressed like a Sailor Guardian.
He turned to where Dragon Knight was gone and so was the Rainbow Crystal.
"Damn it…" cursed Zoisite.
Back inside of the dome, the Sailor Guardians were still having a hard time. Thanks to Burnwar not being effect that much he was able to start all sorts of fire.
While Sailor Mars was still fight, the other three were having a harder time. Sailor Mercury was exhausted, while Sailor Moon and Sailor Jupiter were having a hard time breathing.
Kunzite watched this the fight laughing.
"Kunzite." Said Zoisite appearing.
"Zoisite what's the matter!" said Kunzite.
"I was attack by one of them, and Dragon Knight got away." Said Zoisite ,"And he had the Rainbow Crystal.
"What?" asked Kunzite, "But there's always been four of them…"
"I know that." Sighed Zoisite, "but there was another one."
"I see…" said Kunzite, "Either way we won't lose the final of the Great Youma. I'm almost done with the one who can cure them…"
Zoisite smirked, at least they would succeed with something.
Dragon Knight watched nearby.
"I have to do something." He muttered.
Luna was also watching nearby.
"What should I do?" she asked.
That was when the same voice shouted "Crescent Beam!"
A yellow beam of energy hit Kunzite's hands causing the dome to disappear.
"What"! Yelled Kunzite.
They turned to the roof tope of a nearby building.
There stood the mysterious Sailor Guardian.
She wore one that had orange solar and skirt, the ribbon on her front was blue while the one her back was yellow. She wore flat shoes with ribbons around her ankles.
However what really got their attention was her red mask.
They realized right away she was Sailor V. The lone mage that was fighting crime through Fiore for the past couple of years.
She jumped down removing her mask.
Then she began her speech.
"I am the pretty sailor-suited guardian of love and beauty Sailor Venus! In the name of love I'll punish you!"
Luna who was watching was surprised.
"No way." Said Luna.
That was when a white moon cat showed up and much like Luna he had a yellow crescent moon on his head.
"Long time no see Luna." Said the white moon cat.
"I wasn't expecting you this soon Artemis." Said Luna.
"We were in town." Said the moon cat named Artemis.
"I see." Said Luna.
Back with the fight. Burnwar was confused.
"Oh no!" said Burnwar realizing what was going to happen.
"Now Sailor Moon!" said the Sailor Guardian named Sailor Venus.
Sailor Moon nodded, now that her magic wasn't getting drained and she can breathe she knew it would easy.
"Moon Healing Escalation!" she called out.
"Refresh!" called out Burnwar trying back into "Salamander".
Both Zoisite and Kunzite looked at the Sailor Guardians.
Both of them were ready to fight.
However both of them heard Queen Beryl.
"Zoisite, Kunzite! Retreat now!" ordered Queen Beryl.
"But…" said Zoisite.
"We lost… I want you two to report to me now!" yelled Queen Beryl.
"You might ache won this time." Said Kunzite.
"But we'll be back." Said Zoisite.
Both of them teleported away.
"That was a close one." Sighed Sailor Moon.
"It was." Said Dragon Knight showing up.
"Oh it's you…" muttered Sailor Jupiter.
Sailor Mars still had her sword.
"If you really want to help us why weren't you here sooner?" asked Sailor Mars.
"I was helping..." sighed Dragon Knight.
He tossed Sailor Moon the Violet Rainbow Crystal.
"I'm sorry I couldn't get here sooner." Said Dragon Knight, "I was in a fight with Zoisite."
He looked at Sailor Venus.
"Thank you." Sighed dragon Knight.
"Oh your welcome." Said Sailor Venus.
Dragon Knight nodded and left.
When he was gone Luna and Artemis made their presence known.
"Looks like the team is all here." Said Artemis.
"This is Artemis, my partner." Said Luna.
"You have a partner?" asked Sailor Moon.
"You're voice sounds familiar." Said Sailor Mars.
Artemis froze when she said then quickly brushed it off.
"I just have that kind of voice you know…" said Artemis.
"I'm so relieved I got here in time." Said Sailor Venus, "If I hadn't… who knows what would have happened…"
"You're still not affiliated with any Guild? Are you?" asked Sailor Mars.
"No I'm not." Said Sailor Venus, "I was waiting for all of you to be found. I was so glad that all of you are members of Fairy Tail! I always wanted to join!"
"You have?" asked Sailor Mercury.
"Yeah." Said Sailor Venus, "Thanks to this I've tied up my loose ends and is ready to join."
"Tied up loose ends?" asked Sailor Mercury.
That was when it hit them.
"Wait… are you?" asked Sailor Moon.
That was when she de-transformed, revealing who she was.
Turns out she was Lucy…
"Sorry, I needed to talk to Artemis first before I could say anything." Said Lucy.
"You knew the whole time… didn't you?" asked Luna.
Lucy laughed, "Yeah.." she admitted.
Sailor Moon de-transformed.
"Welcome to Fairy Tail Lucy." Said Lisanna.
"All right…" cheered Lucy.
"Wait…" said Erza as she de transformed, "What are we going to do with him?"
They looked at "Salamander" who was unconscious.
"Oh right… we should do something." Said Lisanna.
"It's Erigor all over again." Said Luna.
Meanwhile in the Dark Kingdom.
"Why did you call us back my queen?" asked Kunzite.
"I have discovered something about Dragon Knight." Said queen Beryl.
"I have too." Said Zoisite, "He is Natsu Dragneel, an infamous mage of Fairy Tail…"
"I see. "said Queen Beryl ,"Even so neither one of must kill him."
"What?" asked Zoisite, "Why?"
"I have my reasons!" yelled Queen Beryl, "And don't' question them…"
"Yes my queen." said Zoisite.
Zoisite gritted his teeth, wanting to get rid of Dragon Knight.
What ever were Queen Beryl's plans were they weren't any good.
However for the Sailor Guardians and Fairy Tail, everything was all right with Lucy AKA Sailor Venus on their side, they had a new member and a new adviser in Artemis.
However what they didn't' know what even though seems looked bright it was going to get dark really soon…
