Chapter 23: Fairies and Monkeys
Natsu sat in front of the train station. Thinking about the fight. It had just hit him, the Dark Kingdom knew who he was.
And he had yet to tell Lisanna.
"I have to tell her." Sighed Natsu.
"It's about time…" said Happy.
"Yeah." Sighed Natsu.
"Hopefully she wont' be too angry." Said Happy.
"Yeah…" sighed Natsu.
"Hey! Natsu!" called out Lisanna.
Natsu and Happy turned to Lisanna. The group was of course joined by Lucy and Artemis.
"Oh hey!" said Natsu putting on a brave face.
"Oh it's Luigi… is she joining after all?" asked Happy.
"It's Lucy…" muttered Lucy.
"Do you already tied up those loose ends?" asked Natsu.
"Oh yeah, we're joining." Said Lucy.
"We're?" asked Natsu.
That was when the two of them noticed Artemis.
"This is my moon cat partner Artemis." Said Lucy.
"Whoa! Our guild is going to have three Moon Cats!" said Natsu.
Happy began to think about something.
"What is it?" asked Lisanna.
"I wonder when I should break it to Lucky…" said Happy with a smirk.
"Hey wait… you have a moon mark like Luna…" said Natsu.
"Wait does that mean you're brother and sister?" asked Happy.
"No it's just something we have in common." Said Luna.
"Yeah." Said Artemis.
That was when Erza showed up.
"So what happened?" asked Lisanna.
"He was running a slave racket." Said Erza, "And he was Bora the Prominence."
"Oh yeah he was kicked out of Titan Nose for bad behavior." Said Happy.
"So did you get the last Rainbow Crystal?" asked Natsu.
"I did." Said Lisanna holding the rainbow crystal.
"Should you be talking about that in front of them?" asked Happy.
"Actually… it's all right. Lucy is a sailor Guardian too." Said Erza.
"Why are you telling them?" asked Lucy.
"Natsu found out because of his sense of smell." Said Lisanna.
"And Happy found out because Natsu was talking in his sleep." Said Luna.
"I see…" said Lucy, "Anyone else in the guild knows…"
"The Master and Maxfield…" said Erza.
"I get why you told the master, but who's Maxfield?" asked Lucy.
"We'll explain later." Said Levy.
"We should get back to the guild hall after all." Said Erza.
Natsu saw that she was headed to the train station.
"Wait! We're not taking the train, are we?" asked Natsu.
"Natsu we had a really tough fight." Said Cana.
"We nearly suffocated and I lost some magic energy." Said Levy.
"How about we stay the night in a hotel!" yelled Natsu suddenly not wanting to ride the train again, "If you had such a tiring fight…."
"He does have a point." Said Lisanna.
"All right." Said Erza.
"I'll take you to the Hotel I'm staying at." Said Lucy.
As Lucy already had her own rooms they all split up into new rooms.
And so the next day, they rode the train back to Magnolia.
Of course the train ride Natsu was of course extremely nauseous.
"Is he okay?" asked Lucy.
"Serve motion sickness." Said Luna, "It why he delayed the train ride back."
"Poor guy." Said Lucy.
"So Lucy, I was wondering, where did you get your gold gate keys?" asked Luna.
"Oh I inhered two of them from my mother, one of them I got from a cattle rancher and the other I got after I busted an evil Duke as Sailor V." said Lucy.
"Oh yeah I heard about it." Said Levy, "Embellishing, black mail and all sorts of stuff."
"That's right." Said Lucy, "And he had Virgo, but once I outed him and he got arrested Virgo showed up and asked me to make a contract with her."
Luna smiled at this. She was very happy that four of the gold keys made their way to the one of the Sailor Guardians.
"Wait having gold keys … would that make you stand out a little?" asked Erza.
"Yeah… that's why I always hide them when I transform." Said Lucy, "During my first outing as Sailor V I had them out and my dad quickly figured it out it was me. I had to make a deal with him to hide them whenever I fight so no one else puts two and two together."
"Oh yeah, wasn't the first time you went out as Sailor V it was saving the guy who runs the Heartfilia company or something like that?" asked Happy.
"It was." Sighed Artemis.
"Let's not talk about it." Said Lucy.
"Oh yeah, and didn't he open a merchandising arm in graduate." Said Happy.
"Kind of sort of…" said Lucy with a sweat drop.
Indeed there were many Sailor V products all around.
"I don't know want to talk about the Heartfilia Konzern right now…." Said Lucy.
The others looked at her with sweat drops.
"She's hiding something." Whispered Cana.
Luna who looked at Artemis who shrugged.
They evidently got to Magnolia and they made their way to the Guild Hall.
"We're back!" yelled Natsu.
Everyone looked at the group and waved.
"Hey Natsu…" said the guy who told him about "Salamander"
Of course Natsu kicked him in the face, hard.
"What was that for!" yelled the guy.
"You lied about the Salamander!" yelled Natsu.
"I only said it was a rumor!" yelled the guy.
Of course this caused a domino effect as other people started fighting too.
"Sop Erza you're back! Let's fight!" yelled Mirajane.
"Not in the mood." Sighed Erza.
"Why you!" yelled Mirajane trying to punch but Erza blocked.
The other members of the team sighed.
"Shouldn't we stop this?" asked Lucy.
"There's few people who can…" sighed Levy.
"You two are new." Said Maxfield approaching the group.
"Oh yeah." Said Lucy, "I'm Lucy and this is Artemis."
"Hello." Greeted Artemis.
"Maxfield is the bar tender here…" said Cana.
Lucy decided to ask later why Maxfield knew they were the Sailor Guardians.
"Duck!" yelled Luna.
All of them ducked to avoid a flying Elfman.
Lucy was gaping at where Elfman landed.
"Excuse me" said Gray to Lucy, it should be pointed out that he was completely naked thanks to the fight, "can I barrow your underwear."
Lucy immediately grabbed a whip she kept on her person and whipped him.
"Back off!" she yelled.
"Looks like she gave into the madness." Said Luna with a sweat drop.
"Would have thought it would taken longer…" said Cana.
"ENOUGH!" yelled Makarov who was in his giant form.
Of course almost everyone stopped.
"All right I win!" yelled Naruto.
However Makarov stepped on Natsu.
Lucy was freaking out at the large man.
"Oh some new faces?" asked Makarov.
He shrunk down to normal, "Nice you meet you two…" he said.
That was when he jumped to the second floor.
"I've gotten quite a few complaints from the magic council!" yelled Makarov, "The only complaints I didn't get was about the Golden Team."
"Looks like that name is catching on." Said Levy.
"It's going to be hard to disband in the future." Sighed Lisanna.
"Do you know how many complaints I have right now!" yelled Makarov.
He was shaking with anger.
"But the Magic Council can eat crap for all I care!" he yelled out setting the reports on fire.
He tossed it into the crowd and Natsu caught it in his mouth.
"Magic a is power that goes beyond reason. It is however born without reason itself. Magic isn't some miracle! What we do is match that energy between us. With the wavelength with the world's natural energy. We take what is embodied in that union using our will and concentration. More than that we pour our entire soul in what we call magic! If you spend your time thinking what those idiots in the council thinks then your magic will never advance! So don't' let them intimidate you. Follow the path you truly believe in! That it what it means to be a Fairy Tail Mage!" called out Makarov.
Everyone cheered, as they did he quickly realized that Lucy and Artemis had to with the Sailor Guardians.
That they went into the Master's off along with Natsu, Maxfield and Happy.
They gave the guild marks to Lucy (who had it on her hand in pink, and Artemis got his on his back in blue).
Lucy also turned into Sailor Venus to her Sailor Guardian Guild Mark. It was on her shin in orange.
"There's no more Sailor Guardians, are there?" asked Makarov .
"At least not to our knowledge." Said Artemis.
"By the way…" said Sailor Venus, "Why does Maxfield know about this?"
"Well you see I used to be part of the Dark Kingdom." Said Maxfield.
Sailor Venus was freaking out.
"I heard about this." Said Artemis, "Sorry I didn't tell you."
"Don't worry Lucy, I healed him and he's completely human now." Said Lisanna.
She turned back to being Lucy.
"By the way…" said Makarov, "You might want to wait a while until you're Sailor Venus around here."
"Why?" asked Lucy.
"Oh yeah… Mira's still after you." Said Lisanna.
"Why?" asked Lucy.
"You bumped her from Sorcerer's Weekly." sided Erza.
""But that was like months ago." Cried Lucy.
"Trust me… she hold a grudge." Sighed Erza.
Lucy sighed.
Sometime later in the main guildhall. Lisanna was at a table looking at all three of their Rainbow Crystal.
"We'll call in the Crystal later." Said Luna.
"Okay." Said Lisanna.
She noticed Natsu was looking for a job.
She sighed, "I was hoping we could hang out since we don't have to search of the Crystal's"
Natsu on the other hand decided to take jobs due to the fact that he knew the Dark Kingdom was going to be after him.
That was when Romeo came into the Guild Hall, he was Macao's young son.
"Is dad back yet?" asked Romeo to Makarov.
"No." sighed Makarov, "You're the son of a Mage, you should go him and wait patiently."
"But he said he would be gone for three days, but it's been a week!" cried Romeo.
"If I remember correctly the job's at Mount Hakobe." Said Makarov.
"But Mount Hakobe isn't that far away, someone should go look for him!" cried Romeo.
This conversation was hitting close to home for Natsu.
"Don't joke about that! You're dad's a mage!" yelled Makarov, "If he could do the easy jobs then he shouldn't be in this guild! Go home and drink some milk or something!"
Romeo started crying even more and punched Makarov in the in the face.
"That was a little tough…" said Lucy.
"He's worried like the rest of us." Said Erza.
That was they heard Natsu punching he request board. And then he left the guildhall.
As he did many of the other members talked about how it would destroy Macao's confidence.
"Wait wasn't the job on Mount Hakobe the one fighting with Vulcans?" asked Lisanna.
"It is." Said Makarov.
Lisanna realized what she should do. She placed all three rainbow crystals in her packet and followed Natsu outside.
"Wait up!" she called out.
"Should we let her go?" asked Artemis.
"It will be fine, she's with Natsu." Said Luna.
"Besides she could use a break after the Rainbow Crystal search." Said Levy.
"Is there something going on between Natsu and Lisanna?" asked Lucy getting that vibe.
"There's a bet going on?" asked Cana, "You want in?"
"What kind of bet?" asked Lucy.
As they explained the bet, Artemis noticed Loke staring at them. So her walked over.
"It's been a long time. "said Loke.
"It has." Said Artemis.
And so Artemis and Loke found a place to talk privately.
"It's good to see you again." Said Loke.
"I heard about what happened." Sighed Loke, "I'm glad I got to see you before…"
"Yeah…" sighed Artemis
"So that girl Lucy… she's Sailor Venus, isn't she?" asked Loke.
"She is." Said Artemis, "She's been going around as Sailor V for a while."
"Yeah, I figured. That's great you were able to find her… Luna got lucky that the four of them were drawn here." Said Loke.
"All of them were." Said Artemis, "All of them were, ever since I've known Lucy she's wanted to join Fairy Tail.
Loke smirked, "There must be something about this Guild."
"Maybe… "said Artemis.
The two of them stood in silence.
"By the way, Lucy is a Celestial Mage…" said Artemis.
"What! Seriously! You have to be kidding!" yelled Loke freaking out.
Artemis eyes widened.
"What did that woman do to you?" asked Artemis.
Loke was quiet.
"Does she have any Gold Keys?" asked Loke.
"Four of them." Answered Artemis, "However Virgo's former master was a criminal, but Sailor V put him away so she asked Lucy to make a contract with her."
"Considering how Lucy is I shouldn't be scared of her, should I?" asked Loke.
"Do you really have to ask that?" asked Artemis.
Loke laughed.
"Although I should tell you, Aquarius is threatening her that if the Princess has Celestial Magic she had to give the key to her." Said Artemis.
Loke laughed, "Sounds like Aquarius hasn't changed." Said Loke.
"Loke…" said Artemis.
Loke looked up.
"I got word about your new name." said Artemis, "Look, I know you want no part of this but I need to ask… have you figured it out too?"
Loke looked at Artemis.
"My memories are much more intact than Luna's…" said Artemis.
"Yeah, I have." Said Loke.
"We have to keep an eye on her… with all 7 Rainbow Crystal revealed chances are good the Princess will finally awaken." Sighed Artemis.
Loke nodded.
Meanwhile at the Dark Kingdom Zoisite was working on the Dark Crystal as if he was altering it.
"what are you doing?" asked Kunzite.
"Using the Rainbow Crystals to find who has the other three in Fairy Tail." Said Zoisite.
Kunzite smirked.
"We'll deal with Dragon Knight another time." Said Zoisite, "unless we get lucky and they happen to be near each other."
Kunzite nodded.
Lisanna managed to quickly grab a coat and a few other supplies and she joined Natsu and Happy on a cat right to the mountain.
Natsu of course was very sick on the way there.
"It's going to be fine." Said Lisanna.
That was when the cart stopped and Natsu immediately recovered.
"all right!" cheered Natsu.
"This as far as I can take you!" called out the driver.
They left the cars and it was snowing, Lisanna put on her coat.
"Are you going to be okay?" asked Lisanna as Natsu was still wearing his vest and scarf combination.
"Oh yeah! I'm fine!" said Natsu.
They headed up the mountain.
"So why did you come?" asked Natsu who could ask earlier because well…
His enemy known as transportation.
"It's be she liiikes you." Said Happy.
"It's not that." Said Lisanna blushing.
She took out the moon stick.
"I haven't gotten the chance to use this while not transformed." Said Lisanna.
"So what does that have to do with rescuing Macao?" asked Natsu.
"You really don't know." Sighed Happy, "Vulcans are body snatchers… they used a form of takeover."
Lisanna nodded.
"There is a good chance he was taken over." Said Lisanna.
"I see…" sighed Natsu.
Natsu sighed.
"Is something wrong?" asked Lisanna.
"There's something I have to tell you." Said Natsu.
Lisanna began to blush.
But before Natsu could confess that he was Dragon Knight, a Vulcan attacked from above.
"Wow… what a moment killer." Said Happy.
"Hey!" yelled Natsu.
"Oh pretty lady!" yelled the Vulcan.
That was when he grabbed Lisanna and ran off.
"Not again!" yelled Lisanna as the Vulcan ran away.
It wasn't the first time Lisanna was kidnaped by a Vulcan in her life surprisingly, but the first time she was a child.
The Vulcan had taken Lisanna to his cave.
"I should we waken him before I try to heal him to see if it's Macao." Thought Lisanna.
That was when she did Animal Soul cat.
This made the Vulcan's eyes turn into hearts and he began to drool.
This made Lisanna sweat drop.
But before could attack Natsu showed up yelling, "Where's Macao!" and kicking the Vulcan in the head.
Lisanna sighed in relief. She really didn't want to fight a Vulcan who seemed to have a thing for cat girls.
"Natsu remember, that might be Macao." Said Lisanna.
"Oh yeah." Said Natsu, "Do you think you can use that spell on him now?"
"Considering how she looks right now, she was planning to fight him before them." Said Happy.
Natsu sweat dropped.
"Cat girl is mine!" yelled the Vulcan.
All three of them sweat dropped.
"Maybe we should chance back…" said Natsu.
"Yeah…" sighed Lisanna, "Don't hurt him too badly…"
"I know." said Natsu.
Natsu began to fight the Vulcan. He held back just a little. Soon enoguh he punched the Vulcan into the wall…
"All right!" said Lisanna.
She took out the Moon Stick, as the yellow moon appeared on her forehead.
"Moon Healing Escalation!" she called out.
The light shined from the Moon Stick onto the Vulcan.
"Refresh!" it called before turning back into Macao.
They all breathed a sigh of relief.
"Looks you can use that thing when your not transformed." Said Happy.
"yeah, and it doesn't drain my magic as much either." Said Lisanna.
Natsu smiled when he heard that remembering that using the magic tied to Sailor Moon drains her when she's not transformed.
"Hey Lisanna, can you get my pack, it had a first aid kit." Said Natsu.
"Okay." Said Lisanna.
They began to treat his wounds.
As they did he woke up.
He started laughing, "Romeo's going to be disappointed." He grumbled.
"What happened?" asked Lisanna.
"I managed to take out 19, but the 20th took me over." Said Macao.
"It's okay." Said Lisanna.
"That's right." Said Natsu, "I mean you took down 19 on your own… I think he'll be fine with that."
Lisanna nodded.
Macao looked at the two.
"So you two…" said Macao he laughed.
Both of them realized why he was laughing and they blushed.
"You know I'm here too…" said Happy.
"Yeah but you're like their kid." Said Macao causing them to blush even.
"Liiiike each other." Said Happy.
"Okay! WE get it!" yelled Natsu.
Hours later Romeo was sitting on some stairs thinking about what was going on recently (namely thanks to some kids teasing him he begged his ad to prove them wrong).
That was when he saw Natsu and Lisanna helping him walk.
Macao managed to walk over opt Romeo and hug him.
Lisanna and Natsu watched this moment between father and son.
As they left Romeo called out "Thank you Natsu! Lisanna! Happy!"
As they were walking away Natsu sighed.
"Is something wrong?" asked Lisanna.
"Lisanna there's something I have to tell you." Sighed Natsu, "It's really important and I'm sorry for hiding this from you…"
"What?" asked Lisanna.
What they didn't know was that Zoisite was watching them.
"She the one with the Rainbow Crystal… and he with her… perfect…" thought Zoisite.
Happy was flying back a little so they could get a private talk.
It was a good thing he was.
Because before Natsu could tell, a red bubble surrounded bother of them. It flew away then disappeared.
"What! Oh no!" yelled Happy.
He flew as fast he could to the Guild Hall.
At the Guild Hall Mirajane was angry.
"What do you mean she went on a job with Natsu." Said Mirajane.
"She went with Natsu on a rescue mission to find Macao." Said Erza, "She went on her own accord Natsu didn't even ask. "
"It doesn't matter!" yelled Mirajane.
At a nearby table the rest of the Golden Team talked with Elfman.
"So you're Lisanna's older brother." Said Lucy making small talk.
"IT'S BAD!" yelled Happy.
"What did something happen on the job!" yelled Mirajane.
"Oh crap Mirajane knows!" yelled Happy who started hiding behind Erza.
"Happy what happened?" asked Luna.
"WHAT HAPPENED TO MY SISTER!" yelled Mirajane.
Happy looked like he was about to cry.
Erza punched Mirajane away and the two started fighting.
"Happy what happened?" asked Levy.
"We got Macao home but then when ere leaving this red ball blame in took Lisanna and Natsu! I think it was the Dark Kingdom!" cried Happy.
"Wait, wasn't Lisanna holding onto the Rainbow Crystals?" asked Wakaba.
"She was." Sighed Levy.
"Natsu probably got sucked inside with her." Said Cana.
"All right!" yelled Mirajane, "I'm going to find and rescue them!"
"We don't even know where they are!" said Levy.
That was when someone who seemed to be form the Town Council showed up.
"Um… hi I have a job request…" said the member of the town council.
"What is it?" asked Makarov.
"Well you see in the couple hours a strange tower suddenly appeared on the edge of town and we need someone to investigate it." Said the town council member.
"Wait a tower?" asked Maxfield.
Maxfield left the Guild Hall, the others followed him. They saw a tower on a hill just out of the city.
"No doubt about it the Dark Kingdom built that tower…" said Maxfield.
"I'm sure of it Lisanna and Natsu were taken to that tower." Said Makarov, "Erza I want your team handling it."
Erza nodded.
"we're going now!" said Erza.
"Right!" said Lucy, Cana and Levy.
They all started heading towards the tower.
"Wait!" yelled, "So you're brining along the newbie!"
"Yeah, we figured she would be a good match for our team." Said Cana.
Mirajane start to steam in her anger.
"Now isn't the time to be fighting." Said Luna, "We have go to rescue him now!"
"Luna's right…" said Artemis.
"And they're bringing along those cats…" muttered Mirajane.
"Mira… now's not the time to be fighting." Said Elfman.
"Wait! I'm coming too!" said Happy.
The other looked at each other.
"I think it will be fine." Said Erza, "Having one more moon cat wouldn't hurt."
The team consisting of four humans and three moon cats headed towards the tower.
Mirajane watched them leave while shaking.
"So… what am I missing…" said the member of the town council.
"Oh… right… we should hammer out the details." Said Makarov.
And so they headed to the tower, hoping that Lisanna and Natsu were okay, completely unaware of what was going to happen during the very next fight…
Next Time: Zoisite wants the Rainbow Crystals and wants to duel Lisanna for them. Will she be forced to fight? At the same time Natsu decided to confess to being Dragon Knight... how will she take it? Find out next time!
