Okay... there's also a couple things I meant to say in the last chapter but couldn't due to the problems with Doc Manager...

First off there will be a side story that I will write once I'm done with the Dark Kingdom arc... it will focus on this story's version of Galuna, considering the different players it should be interesting.

Second, yep in this story Shagotte was a member of Fairy Tail, she will be mentioned very rarely until she actually comes into the story... I won't go into details until then... but yeah... it's something I've been planning for a while.

Chapter 27: I'm No Puppet

The 10 humans and 2 moon cats stared in shock at the Guild Hall.

"You're back." Said a voice.

They turned to see Luna in human form.

"I can't believe Gajeel did this." Said Lisanna.

"Actually I can believe Gajeel did this." Said Luna, "I'd be in disbelief if Panther Lily or Sue did it…"

"I swear…" muttered Mirajane.

"Calm down." Said Luna, "No one was in the Guild at the time so no one got hurt."

"Everyone's fine." Said Lisanna.

"So how did the competition go?" asked Luna.

"Well…" said Lisanna.

They told Luna how the job went, to say Luna was shocked was an understatement.

"That's really how it went?" asked Luna.

Everyone nodded.

"Didn't see that coming." Sighed Luna, "Anyways come on… the basement is fine."

She led them down the basement, it was a make shift bar, of course everyone was looking more dejected than before.

"So how did it go?" asked Makarov who was clearly drunk.

"I don't think we should tell you while you're drunk…" said Elfman with a sweat drop.

"None sense… tell me what happened! Who won?" asked Makarov.

"Who took my place when I was gone?" asked Maxfield.

"I was…" admitted one of the waitresses.

"Okay… then I'm cutting him off." Said Maxfield.

"You can't cut me off! I'm the master!" yelled Makarov.

"Look I'm the bartender and it's my job to make sure no one gets alcohol poisoning." Said Maxfield.

"This is going to take a while." Said Cana who knew her way around bartender arguments.

Both groups took a seat at one of the tables.

"Okay spill how do you know Gajeel?" asked Gray.

"Remember that job at the ball?" asked Lisanna.

"Of course." Said Mirajane, "Maxfield crashed it back when he worked for the Dark Kingdom."

"Gajeel was one of the ones that Phantom Lord sent out." Said Levy, "Then during the Rainbow Crystal quest."

"Let me guess he was one of the other carriers?" asked Elfman.

"No another member was, he was just doing a job with her." Said Erza.

"We got along more with Panther Lily, his moon cat partner than we did with him." Said Luna.

"He better not try anything again." Muttered Mirajane, "If he does…"

"Let's hope he doesn't." sighed Levy.

Meanwhile in Oak Town which was where the head quarters of Phantom Lord was Gajeel met with Jose, the master of Phantom Lord.

"What did you want to talk about?" asked Gajeel.

He smelled the air. There was something different about Jose's scent.

"What did you want to talk about?" asked Gajeel.

"I want you to attack Fairy Tail again…" said Jose with an evil grin, "This time I want to find some weak members and pick them off."

Gajeel shrugged fine. "Fine…"

"It's time Fairy Tail knows that Phantom Lord is the best! Guild in Fiore" he said.

Gajeel narrowed his eyes at the master realizing what changed about his scent.

"So… is there a reason why we're attacking them?" asked Gajeel, "You know like to kidnap something."

"Not at all." Said Jose.

"I see…" muttered Gajeel.

Gajeel said nothing as he left the office.

He went downstairs where found Panther Lily, Sue and Boze.

Both Panther Lily and Sue were against what was going on with Fairy Tail so they both shot a glare.

"I need to talk to you in private." he said to the four.

"Why?" asked Sue.

"Look, something's going on with this Fairy Tail thing." Muttered Gajeel.

The three looked at each other wondering what he meant.

After Makarov became sober enoguh they told him how the S Class Competition Went…

"Seriously?" asked Makarov.

"There wasn't a curse." Sid Erza, "It was a combination of memory loss and lies they spread."

"And the cause of it was someone from Gray's past." Said Mirajane.

"I see…" said Makarov.

"So what are we going to do about Gajeel?" asked Mirajane.

"I already contacted the Sailor Guardians they're going to patrol the city just in case he tries something again." Said Makarov.

The Golden Team sweat dropped realizing that was his way of informing them.

Though to be fair he currently lacked an office so it's something that shouldn't be discussed in public.

"Don't worry I have an idea on how to deal with it." Said Lucy.

That night, they all met up at Lucy's apartment, it was a rather nice place with a couple rooms and a very notice bathroom and old-fashioned fixtures. Happy joined them since he didn't want to be alone in the same house with Mirajane for a while.

"This is a nice place." Said Cana.

"I know, and it's cheaper than Hairy Hills." Said Lucy, "Only 70,000 a month!"

Artemis gave her a look.

"What?" asked Lucy.

"So when's a good time to go on patrol?" asked Levy.

"Hey are you writing a book?" asked Happy as he went through her desk.

"Who told you could go through my things!" yelled Lucy.

She grabbed the manuscript away form Happy.

"Wait you're writing a book?" asked Lucy.

"Yeah…" sighed Lucy.

"Now's not the time to be talking about it." Said Erza, "We have to plan out the patrol."

They began to plan it out, which was take a part of town and if he they see Gajeel send out fireworks.

"I don't' know what he looks like." Sighed Lucy.

"Big guy with lots of piercings." Said Cana.

"I see…" said Lucy with a sweat drop.

"There's no guarantee he'll show up." Said Erza, "Remember that."

Not too long later they went on patrol.

As they did Gajeel once again arrived in town.

He sniffed the air.

"I smell them." Said Gajeel with a smirk, "One of them is close too."

Meanwhile with Sailor Mercury's patrol, she jumped from building to building.

"Well, well isn't it the pipsqueak." Said a voice.

She turned to see it was Gajeel waiting in the shadows.

"Gajeel." Said Sailor Mercury.

"That's right, I bet you saw what I did your guild hall." Said Gajeel, "And you're wearing that costume again…"

Sailor Mercury girted her teeth.

Then she did Solid Script "Fireworks" which shot into the air while giving off a blue explosion showing it was Mercury.

The other Sailor Guardians saw it and knew it was Sailor Mercury doing the fighting.

At Lucy's apartment they saw the fireworks.

"Blue…" said Artemis.

"Do you think Levy will be fine?" asked Happy.

"She will." Said Luna.

"But isn't Levy the weakest when it comes to those powers?" asked Happy.

Luna and Artemis both sweat dropped.

Back where the fight was Sailor Mercury do dodged the iron club.

"Bubble Spray Freezing!"

The bubble hit the iron Club, it started to crack.

Gajeel gritted his teeth and got rid of the club.

However he created even more clubs and managed to get a good hit in.

However Sailor Mercury managed to get up.

"You're a lot together than a I thought." Said Gajeel.

Sailor Mercury didn't respond. However he began his attacks once again. She noticed something very quickly.

"Is he just using his clubs?" thought Sailor Mercury.

That was when she noticed that he missed an attack but it seemed like it wasn't even close.

She looked at the Iron Dragon Slayer.

"It can be…" she thought.

Meanwhile in the Dark Kingdom Kunzite was talking with Queen Beryl over their plan to take the Silver Crystal.

"Are you sure leaving it up to him would be the best idea?" asked Kunzite.

"This mission will prove our loyalty to us." Said Queen Beryl, "After all starting this war will be the perfect way to do it."

Kunzite nodded and bowed to Queen Beryl not showing her that he was girting his teeth.

"I should be the one doing this..." he thought.

"I wonder how it's progressing." Said Queen Beryl, "I bet they're going make things a bigger mess than the first one…"

Back in Magnolia Sailor Mercury decided to go back on the offensive.

She sent out a solid script version of Ice which once again froze the club. She then ran over and kicked Gajeel in the face.

"That was a terrible kick you know… barely even felt it." Said Gajeel.

Sailor Mercury blushed, "I'm not a physical fighter… okay…" said Sailor Mercury.

"That's a shocker." He muttered sarcastically.

She glared at him and decided to ask it to him.

"Are… are you going easy on me?" asked Sailor Mercury.

Gajeel began to blush.

"What… no…" he denied.

And she could tell he was lying.

"You are! You're going easy on me!" said Sailor Mercury.

"I'm not!" yelled Gajeel.

"Something's thing going on… isn't there?" asked Sailor Mercury.

Gajeel sighed as the other Sailor Guardians arrived.

"Is everything all right." Said Sailor Moon.

"He's going easy on me for some reason." Said Sailor Mercury.

Gajeel gritted his teeth.

"If anyone besides them ask… you beat me up." Said Gajeel.

This made everyone sweat drop.

"Is something going on?" asked Sailor Moon.

They went to talk in empty ally.

"So why are you now going easy when you didn't before?" asked Sailor Mars.

"I only found out about it today." Said Gajeel.

(Flashback)

He managed to take what would be best described as his team into another room.

"What did you just say?" asked Sue.

"Are you sure?" asked Panther Lily.

"His smell is similar the smell you gave off when you were turned into that monster." Said Gajeel, "It's not the same but it's similar…"

"Great…" muttered Boze.

"What do you think we should do?" asked Sue.

"I have an idea…" said Panther Lily, "Gajeel, does he want you to cause more trouble?"

"He does." Said Gajeel.

"Let yourself get captured." Said Panther Lily.

"What seriously?" asked Gajeel.

"The three of us will go to the other branches and convince them in not going to war with Fairy Tail." Said Panther Lily.

"I'll right! I'm down with that." Said Sue.

"Fine…" sighed Boze.

"This is going to embarrassing." Sighed Gajeel.

"Try to find the Sailor Guardians, I think they know more about them than any other team in Fairy Tail." Said Panther Lily.

(End of Flashback)

Gajeel finished his explanation of what was going on as well as the ones causing this.

"What seriously?" asked Sailor Mars.

"The Dark Kingdom?" asked Sailor Moon.

Gajeel nodded.

"Wouldn't put it passed it to do something like to get you Rainbow Crystal…" said Gajeel.

"Actually…" said Sailor Moon, "The Rainbow Crystals are gone… they want something else from us…"

"Whatever…" muttered Gajeel, "Anyways I'm going to help you fight them."

"What? Why?" asked Sailor Moon.

"I don't like Fairy Tail, but I don't like the Dark Kingdom either…" said Gajeel, "And whatever they got planned isn't good for either Fairy Tail and Phantom Lord."

"Or the whole planet." Said Sailor Venus

"What?" asked Gajeel.

"Never mind…" said Sailor Venus.

"Another one?" asked Gajeel.

"Yeah." Said Sailor Mars.

"Wait… what about Panther Lily?" asked Sailor Moon.

"And I doubt the girl who had the Rainbow Crystal would want anything to do with the war…" said Sailor Jupiter.

"Both of them and Boze are helping with the other braches." Muttered Gajeel.

Meanwhile at one of the other Phantom Lord braches scattered across the country.

"Look I know Fairy Tail is lame, but they are good people. Who will protect those in need!" said Sue, "Because one time I turned into a dog and they helped me!"

Everyone in the branch stared at Sue.

"Why did we let her make the speech again?" asked Boze.

Panther Lily just face pawed.

Back in Magnolia.

"Something tells me it's not going well." Muttered Gajeel getting that feeling.

"So what arte we going to do?" asked Sailor Mercury.

"I guess we should make it seem like we beat him up and are holding him captive." Said Sailor Mars.

"What?" asked Sailor Moon.

"It might be the only way to make it seem Gajeel is innocent in this." Said Sailor Mercury knowing where Sailor Mars was coming from.

"Get this over with." Muttered Gajeel.

That was when Sailor Mars requiped one of her swords.

"Oh right… she's Titania." Thought Gajeel with a sweat drop.

"Don't worry I will try not to hurt you too much." Said Sailor Mars.

Sometime later they brought a very beaten up Gajeel who was tied up (just in case the Dark Kingdom saw them) to Lucy's apartment.

"Is he really going to stay the night?" asked Happy.

"No one's at the Guildhall." Said Sailor Mars.

"You just wanted to beat me up because of the Guild Hall!" yelled Gajeel.

"Got a problem with that?" asked Sailor Mars dangerously.

"Are we missing something?" asked Artemis with a sweat drop.

At the Phantom Lord Headquarters Jose was musing to himself.

That was when someone in the shadows appeared.

"Master Jose, I have some terrible news for you." Said the mysterious person.

"What!" yelled Jose.

"Gajeel has been captured by Fairy Tail." Said the mysterious person.

"Impossible." Said Jose.

"You didn't disguise your scent." Said the mysterious person.

"What? Why?" asked Jose.

"We haven't told you yet but members of our group has fought Gajeel before, he knows the scent of our monsters." Said the mysterious person.

Jose paled, "But I'm in human form!" said Jose.

"That doesn't change your scent, I have similar heightened senses and even I can tell you're a monster." Said the mysterious person.

Jose began to shake.

"It wouldn't surprise me if Gajeel switched to Fairy Tail side so he wouldn't have to work for us." Said the mysterious person.

"Are you backing out?" asked Jose.

"No of course not. This plan is too valuable." Said the mysterious person, "Even if Gajeel switches sides it's nothing but a small set back."

"I guess your right." Muttered Jose.

"Remember the deal…" said the mysterious person.

"I know… I give you the Silver Crystal and we get to wreck Fairy Tail." Laughed Jose.

"It's only fair." Said the mysterious person.

"I won't let the dark kingdom down." Said Jose.

Indeed the mysterious person was working for the Dark Kingdom… and Gajeel was right, the Dark Kingdom was pulling Phantom Lord's strings.

But this was only the begging of the war… Phantom Lord hadn't even gotten started yet… What they were planning was going to be much worse… much much worse…

Next Time: With Gajeel captured Phantom Lord showed up in their transforming Mecha guildhall... Yes... Phantom Lord's guildhall is a transforming Mecha... As insane as that sounds Fairy Tail has to be ready for a fight... What will happen? Find out next time!

A/N: You must be wondering did I choose Sue to be a rainbow crystal carrier just so she would turn in a cat monster, under go a heel face turn earlier than canon and make a big speech all so I could do a Ghostbusters 2 reference? I will tell you now that is completely 100 percent... true...
