Chapter 32: Aftermath of the War

Sailor Moon stood at the window looking at the ruined Guild Hall.

"Come on we should get back there." Said Sailor Mars who retransformed.

Sailor Moon nodded and detransformed.

They headed back to what remained of the guildhall.

Outside of the Guild Hall, a group of Phantom Lord members arrived.

"Great reinforcements…" said Macao.

"Wait!" yelled one of them.

That was when Sue, Boze and Pantherlily made themselves known.

"We're not your enemies." Said Sue.

"All of us came here to revolt again Phantom Lord." Said Boze.

"Yeah… we already won…" said Wakaba.

The group from Phantom Lord all turned white while gaping.

The group that was fighting Jose made their way to the Guild Hall. IT was hard to look at up close.

"Oh good you actually made it." Said Gajeel noticed the group of Phantom Lord members then saw the state they were in.

"Let me guess, got here too late?" he asked.

"You really have to ask?" responded Bisca.

However Fairy Tail decided to ignore the shocked members of Phantom Lord, all of them seemly unable to know what to do… expect for one.

"We can rebuild." Said Makarov.

They all looked at the master realizing he was right.

And there was nothing that could stop them from rebuilding.

That is until the Magic Concuil showed up.

Makarov started to cry when it did.

"Should we run for it?" asked Mirajane with her eye twitching.

"You want to run away from the Magic Concuil?" asked Erza glaring at her.

"Good point." Said Mirajane with a sweat drop.

And so everyone was rounded up for questioning.

In the Dark Kingdom, Dragon Knight was brought to Queen Beryl.

"I apologize for my failure." Said Dragon Knight.

"You have no need to apologize." Said Queen Beryl.

"What?" asked Dragon Knight confused.

"You still have much to learn." Said Queen Beryl, "But I expect you get the silver crystal next time."

"I understand." Said Dragon Knight.

Dragon Knight left, when he was gone Kunzite appeared.

"Are you sure that's a wise idea going easy on him." said Kunzite.

"For now…" said Queen Beryl, "I will be harsher later on."

Kunzite looked at Queen Beryl not believing her, knowing that she had feeling for the reincarnated prince.

"Tell me Kunzite, have you come up with any plans?" asked Queen Beryl.

"I am being on plan, but it should take a few days until I being to implement it." Said Kunzite.

"Very well." Said Queen Beryl.

Over the course of the next several days there were interrogations from both sides including Phantom Lord members who wanted to help out.

Of course they left out the stuff involing the Dark Kingdom, but all of them, including the Phantom Lord members who were convinced but didn't know all of the details pointed to Phantom Lord being behind it.

But that still meant Makarov, had to testify to the Magic Council.

Which he didn't take seriously at all.

In fact he slept during it.

Of course the magic council did like it, well there were a few laugh, but mostly they didn't like it.

Afterward, Makarov talked with Yajima, who was at point a member of Fairy Tail back in the day, but was now on the Magic Council.

"Combined with the members of Phantom Lord that wanted to join Fairy Tail's side. All signs seems to pointing to Phantom Lord being the cause." Said Yajima.

"I'm not surprised.' Said Makarov.

"However we also believe that something was behind Phantom Lord." Said Yajima.

"Don't investigate it." said Makarov.

"What?" asked Yajima.

"The Magic Council shouldn't be getting involved in it." Said Makarov, "Trust me… it's a War that Fairy Tail is suffering from as well…"

"What happened?" asked Yajima.

"You don't want to know…" said Makarov, "But I will say this: It's nit a Dark Guild."

"I see." Sighed Yajima, he got the feeling like something was going on, he was planning urging his old friend to retire, but it seemed like now was a bad time.

The next day, Markarov made an announcement to the guild right before reconstruction was to being.

"I have offered invitations to those in Phantom Lord who had offered to aid us during the battle." Said Makarov .

Many of the members began to talk to each others wondering many things about this.

"However so far beyond a few "maybes" and a lot "noes" we have two members who have accepted." Said Makarov.

The two new members of the Guild Turned out to Sue and Boze.

Boze got into a conversation with Levy while taking a break from building.

"So Gajeel and Lily were maybes." Said Levy

"Yeah." Said Boze, "We don't know if they'll say yes."

"Makes sense. He did destroy the guild hall." Said Levy.

"Whoever not working get to work!" yelled someone.

Both of them sighed realizing they had to work.

Sometime later they called for lunch.

Lisanna sighed as eh was looked at her food.

"Come on Lisanna cheer up!" said Lucy.

"I know…" sighed Lisanna, "But it's hard to."

"We're going to save Natsu. Don't worry." Said Erza.

They all looked at Erza who was dressed like a constriction worker.

"Erza… I don't know if I could take you seriously dressed like that." Sighed Lisanna.

Erza sweat dropped when she said that.

Meanwhile Gray was sitting don when he was suddenly splashed with water, he looked around and saw a boxed lunch sent to him.

"Who gave this to me?" asked Gray.

Juvia was watching from afar.

"Oh Gray! I hope you eat the boxed lunch I made for you…" thought Juvia.

"Juvia?" asked Sue noticing her.

Juvia froze .

"What are you doing here?" asked Sue.

"Uh… nothing to with my darling Gray." Said Juvia.

Sue looked at Gray and saw that Happy was talking to him.

"Oh wow! That lunch look so good!" said Happy.

"Oh wow… he's cute…" said Sue blushing.

"You won't have him!" yelled Juvia.

"I was talking about the red dog… not the guy." Said Sue.

Juvia sweat dropped.

"Oh… right… I forgot you're into Moon Cats." Said Juvia.

"So you're following him around?" asked Sue.

"I kind of want to join the Guild… but… the offer was extending to those who betrayed Phantom Lord…" said Juvia fiddling with her fingers.

"Seriously?" asked Sue with a sweat drop.

"Will they accept me?" asked Juvia.

"I'll check with the Master and sees what he says." Said Sue.

"Thank you so much!" said Juvia.

That night Lucy and Artemis made it home.

Lucy checked her mail and saw there was a letter from her father.

She began to read it and she sighed.

"Of course it has to wit that." Said Lucy.

"What's wrong?" asked Artemis.

Lucy showed him the letter.

"I see…" said Artemis, "It makes sense he want to talk to you about that…"

"Yeah but seriously…" sighed Lucy, "Couldn't he want to see me just for the sake of me visiting?"

"Will you talk to the others tomorrow?" asked Artemis.

"Of course I will." Said Lucy.

The next day there was announcement from Maxfield.

"All right! We'll be taking jobs again." Said Maxfield.

"Is that really a good idea?" asked Luna, "I mean during construction."

"It sounds like a good idea." Said Lisanna, "This way we can get away from the Guild Hall for a bit… plus earning some money."

"Actually now's not a good time to be taking a job." Said Lucy walking over with Artemis, "There's something I have to talk to you about."

"Really what?" asked Lisanna.

Before Lucy could say anything they heard Erza yelled out, "How could you say that?"

Laxus was laughing as she and Mirajane both glared at Laxus.

"I'm saying the attack was deserved." Said Laxus, "If it weren't for you stupid competition."

"You left before they attacked." Said Mirajane, "So the same could be said for you."

"Leave now if all you're going to do is cause trouble." Said Erza.

Laxus laughed, "When I become Guild Master all of the weaklings will be forced out… including those two Phantom Rejects."

Laxus left.

"What is he talking about?" asked Lucy.

"word is that if Master ever retries, Laxus is the one who will become the new master." Sighed Lisanna, "It's because of his attitude that he doesn't plan on retiring soon…"

"I see." Sighed Lucy.

Erza noticed them and Lucy called a mini meeting to discus her letter.

"So Lucy what did you want to talk about?" asked Cana.

Lucy gave them the letter.

"A letter from Jude Heartfilia asking for a meeting to discus merchandising?" asked Cana.

"Yes." Sighed Lucy.

"Oh yeah, he has the Sailor V merchandising rights." Said Levy.

"So he knows your identity?" asked Erza, "You told him?"

"Not exactly…" said Lucy.

"I guess we should talk to master about this meeting." Said Erza.

"Maybe we can get a cut of the profits and we won't have to take jobs until we beat the Dark Kingdom." Said Cana.

"Let's go talk to Master about this." Said Erza.

They all nodded and went to talk to Makarov, Lucy was the only one who didn't' get up.

"Is everything all right?" asked Lisanna.

"It's fine… really…" said Lucy.

They all went to talk to Makarov.

"You know you're going to have to tell them." Said Artemis.

"I know." Sighed Lucy, "It's going to be hard to figure it out though."

Artemis nodded.

After all that topic was a sore spot for Lucy.

At the Heartfilia estate.

Jude Heartfilia was over looking some papers.

That was when Kunzite appeared.

"So you sent the letter?" asked Kunzite.

"I have." Said Jude who was under Kunzite's control.

"Good…" said Kunzite.

"However when I spring the trap, you will let me spare anyone I want correct." Said Jude.

"Don't worry." said Kunzite, "I will."

"Good." Said Jude who seemed to shake a little.

Kunzite disappeared and when he did Jude sighed, "What am I going to do?" he sighed.

Indeed the Sailor Guardians were walking into a trap… and no one knew just how painful it would be for one of them.
