Chapter 33: Fathers and Daughters

They were on the way to see Jude Heartfilia, one of the richest men in Fiore. He was the CEO of the Heartfilia Koncern, one of the most powerful companies in Fiore. He also the one who made the Sailor V Merchandise.

The team was currently on the train ride over. Lucy was very quiet.

"Hey Lucy, you're unusually quiet." Said Luna.

"I'm fine." Sighed Lucy.

"Maybe you should finally tell them." Said Artemis.

"Tell us what?" asked Cana.

"My full name." sighed Lucy.

"Wait your full name?" asked Levy.

Lucy nodded.

"My full name is Lucy Heartfilia." She explained.

It took a few seconds and the others were shocked.

"Then that means…" said Erza.

"That Jude…" said Levy.

"Heartfilia is…" said Cana.

"He's your…" said Lisanna.

"He's my dad." Sighed Lucy.

They were all in shock.

"Does… does he know who you are" asked Luna.

"He does. He figured it out when I saved him." said Lucy.

"How?" asked Luna.

"it's a long story." Said Lucy.

(Flashback)

Lucy was looking at her two keys while enjoying a nice day outside. The two keys that she inherited from her mother. She had passed away some years ago and her keys made their way to her.

She sighed, for the past few weeks she had been contemplating running away.

Her dad didn't' care about her… not since after her mother died. He wouldn't notice until after he needed something from her.

What am I going to do.

That was when there was a crash and she looked where it came from. She saw Artemis fall from a tree

Artemis got up.

"I knew it… I did find you." Said Artemis.

Lucy blinked and then screamed.

"Why is there a talking cat!" yelled Lucy.

"Calm down… I'm a Moon Cat!" said Artemis.

"A Moon Cat?" asked Lucy, then she remember she once read about them, "Wait… aren't those a legend?"

"No they're real… there's plenty around the world, even around the country." Said Artemis, "However I'm a bit different."

"How so." Said Lucy.

"Well I shouldn't have said that." Said Artemis.

"Seriously!" yelled Lucy.

"Anyways, my name is Artemis and I have been looking for you a long time." Said Artemis.

"What do you mean?" asked Lucy.

"You see I can tell you're the one who protected by the Planet Venus to…" said Artemis then he noticed Lucy was walking away.

"Nope…" said Lucy, "All I'm hearing is crazy right now."

"Wait… let me show something to you." Said Artemis.

"What?" asked Lucy somewhat skeptically.

Artemis performed a back flip and gave her the wand.

"IS that a wand?" asked Lucy.

"Yes… if you are the one who can use it… you must say Moon Power Transform!" explained Artemis.

(Cuts out of Flashback)

"That's how I transformed in Sailor V." explained Lucy.

The others nodded.]

(Cut back to Flashback)

Lucy took the wand.

"Moon Power! Transform!" called out Lucy.

And with that she transformed into Sailor V.

"I knew you were the one." Said Artemis.

"Okay… this is really weird magic!" yelled Sailor V, "How do I change back?"

"Just focus on changing back." Explained Artemis.

Sailor V did so and turned back to Lucy.

"Good, now explain what's going on." Said Lucy glaring at him.

Artemis sighed and they went into Lucy's room so that no one would overhear them.

"So there's an evil group going around steal energy?" asked Lucy.

Artemis nodded, "And it's up to you to top them." Said Artemis.

"Let me guess I have to go around the country and find them?" asked Lucy.

"I'm afraid so." Sighed Artemis.

Lucy sighed, "Looks like what I was contemplating that been decided for me." She sighed.

"What are you talking about?" asked Artemis.

"I've been considering running away." Said Lucy.

"Really? Why?" asked Artemis surprised.

"I hate it here." Said Lucy.

"wont' your parents miss you?" asked Artemis.

"My mother is dead and my father…" said Lucy, "He wouldn't care if I was gone."

"I see…" said Artemis.

"So when should we leave?" asked Lucy.

"I don't know when and where they're going to attack." Sighed Artemis.

"I see…" mumbled Lucy.

"Are you sure you just want to leave without telling your father?" asked Artemis.

Lucy gave him a look.

"You don't know me or my father." Said Lucy.

"I'm just saying! I don't think it's a good idea to just leave without saying anything to him." said Artemis.

"He's a man who doesn't care about his own daughter's birthdays and he won't even blink an eye at me being gone." Said Lucy now glaring at Artemis.

"Well I'm sure…" said Artemis.

However the glare became even more harsher.

"Maybe we should talk to him just in case." Said Artemis.

"Besides he's busy today." Said Lucy, "He's giving a press conference."

"You're going to be traveling the country and fighting a very powerful enemy. I just think you should at least tell him you're going to be traveling." Said Artemis.

Lucy sighed. "Fine… I'll try to talk to him…"

Artemis nodded.

"Good because it's probably a good idea for you to do so even though you can't tell him everything.," said Artemis.

"For someone I just met you are way interesting in my family." Said Lucy.

Artemis sweat dropped.

Thankfully as the press conference was at the mansion (as it was also the HQ for the company).

Lucy decided to sit in as it would be the easiest to talk to him right after.

The press conference was a stand one for him, just talking about certain aspects of the business and the like.

A particular member of the press stood up to ask their question.

"Mr. Heartfilia you are quite a famous man are you not?" asked the member of the press.

"What?" asked Jude confused.

"And if you were attacked it would be a very big events, correct?" asked the member of the press.

"Why are you asking me that?" asked Jude.

That was when the member of the press' arms turned into vines and they used to choke Jude.

"Good because this is the best way to gain attention." Said the member of the press who was clearly not really a member of the press.

His bodyguards began to attack the evil person, but they began to fight back.

Lucy watched in horror.

"Lucy." Said Artemis who was hiding behind her chai, "Transform."

"Won't he recognize me?" asked Lucy.

"Both your mask and magic will protect your identity." Said Artemis.

Lucy sigh but that no other choice.

Lucy went to transform.

"Moon Power! Transform!" called out Lucy turning into Sailor V.

And so she went to fight them, unaware that her keys were clearly visible on her waist.

"This better work." Said Sailor V.

She ran over to the evil person. She wasn't sure if it was an enemy she was supposed to fighting or just some Dark Mage trying to gain attention. But she knew she had to fight them.

When she got there she felt something.

"Crescent Beam!" she called out.

She shot out the beam at the evil person, causing them to let everyone go.

She knew she had to at least acknowledge her father.

"Are you okay?" asked Sailor V bending down to see if he was okay.

Jude was coughing, then his eyes trailed to the keys on her waist.

But before he could do something, the Evil Person tried to attack her.

Sailor V kick she called out kicking the evil person away.

Then all of Jude's bodyguards mange dot tackle the evil person.

"Get their arms!" yelled one of them.

"Make sure they don't get away!" yelled another.

Sailor V breathed sigh of relief.

However she forgot it was in the middle of a press conference.

Suddenly everyone there were taking pictures of her.

""Who are you?" asked one of the members of the press.

"It's not important who I am." Said Sailor V.

However the press continued on their questions.

"That's enough!" yelled Jude, "It's clear your overwhelming her!"

The members of the press were unsure how to response to this.

However during this distraction Sailor V managed to escape with Artemis.

She found a place to de-transform.

"Well that could have gone better." Said Lucy.

"Sorry… but at least you were there for your father." Aid Artemis.

"Whatever… but I'm sure that will send a message to the enemy." Said Lucy.

"That wasn't an enemy…" said Artemis, "That was an evil Mage who recently left a Dark Guild and is trying to go solo." Said Artemis, "Ambiguous Lee they're known as."

Lucy just sighed at that…

"Great…" said Lucy.

"Don't worry no one will recognize you." Said Armies, "So there's that."

There was a knock on the door. She opened it and it was one of the mansion's maids.

"Ms. Lucy, your father wishes to speak to you in his office." Said the maid.

"Do you know what is it about?" axed Lucy.

"It has something to do with the Press Conference, but I don't' know what else." Said the maid.

"All right." Said Lucy who then closed the door. Then glared at Artemis.

"Maybe it has nothing to do with you s Sailor V." said Artois who began to sweat.

Not too long later, she went to talk to her father, with Artemis sneaking in.

"What do you want to talk about father?" asked Lucy.

"I wanted to talk about what happened at the Press Conference." Said Jude.

"I saw what happened." Sid Lucy.

Jude nodded.

"Tell me do you still have your gate keys?" asked Jude.

"Of course I do." Said Lucy holding them up.

"They do appear to the real ones." He said, "So then… how were you able to hide your identity when you rescued me."

"ARTEMIS!" Yelled Lucy.

Artemis came out of hiding while laughing nervously.

"Lucy calm down! The only way he recolonized you is because you didn't hide your gate keys." Said Artemis.

Lucy froze.

"If you hid them then I wouldn't have put two and two together." Said Jude.

Lucy froze even more.

"Now Lucy… Artemis was it? Tell me what exactly is going on." Said Jude.

Both of them sighed relishing they had no other choice.

He explained everything, even asking a young magic using Maid to try to use the wand to transform showing that only Lucy could use it.

"I see…" said Jude as this was shock to him.

"Father I…" said Lucy.

"Lucy… please be safe." Said Jude, "This clear that this is something only you can do…"

Lucy didn't know how to respond to this at all.

"Yeah…" she said.

Over the course of the next few days Lucy got ready for her mission, know it was best to travel around.

On the day she was ready to leave, Jude once again spoke to her and Artemis.

"What did you want to talk about father?" asked Lucy.

"As you know the press is still going crazy about Sailor V." said Jude.

"Of course." Sighed Lucy.

"That's why I wanted to talk about something." Said Jude, "Merchandising."

"What." Said Lucy unsure how to respond.

"I want to start a new branch of the Heartfilia Koncern selling Sailor V Merchandise. This way we can be in control what gets sold and also as a way t control what the media knows about you." Said Jude.

"Really? Are you sure?" asked Lucy.

"I'm sure of it." Said Jude, "Besides, I plan to give most of the money to you. After all you are going to be traveling around a lot so you will need the money."

"Thank you father." Said Lucy.

"Of course you do have to sign some papers." Said Jude.

He gave her the papers, which she began to read.

"Oka theses sound good." Said Lucy.

Jude sweat dropped, he hadn't expected that to be something she learned from.

"Good." Said Jude, "Also due to this I expect you to keep in contact."

Of course." Said Lucy.

Jude sighed, "Lucy… I thin your mother would be proud of what your you're doing."

Lucy blushed when he said that.

"Thanks." Said Lucy.

And so over the course of the next couple of years Lucy traveled the country stopping the Dark Kingdom's syndicate as well other criminals.

The public loved her and Lucy did keep in contact with her father… though oddly enough Artemis was on very good terms and would often ask him for extra cash.

(End of Flashback)

"Seriously did you ha e to mention that part." Said Artemis.

"Wait… was he the one fund the Rainbow Crystal job?" asked Cana.

"Maybe…" said Artemis not wanting opt answer.

Lucy just sighed.

"I'm sorry I haven't mentioned this before." Said Lucy.

"It's okay." Said Levy.

"Yeah." Said Lisanna.

"It's okay Lucy… things could be worse with your dad."
said Cana, "Trust me on that."

Lucy nodded.

And soon they arrived at Lucy's home.

"You home town is so nice." Said Lisanna.

"This is such a quaint little village." Said Erza.

"Um… this is part of my family estate." Said Lucy, "From the mansion all the way to mountains"

She pointed to the mountains far in the distance.

Everyone froze when she said that.

"How… how rich are you?" asked Cana in shock.

"Wait…" said Lisanna remembering, "Remember what they said about that family treasure?"

"Able to buy the Heartfilia Estate 10 times…" whispered Luna.

"No that was the being used at example…" mumbled Levy.

Erza just barely conscious.

"Lucy… this is why I ask for money from your dad." Said Artemis.

Lucy just sighed.

Once everyone got over the shock they went into the mansion after all of the staff celebrated her return they went to meet with Jude.

"Hello father. I brought my friends." Said Lucy.

"It's nice to meet you." Said Jude .

"Nice to meet you too." Said Lisanna.

"Do you wanted to talk about selling our merchandise as well?" asked Cana.

"I apologize that but that was a lie." Said Jude.

"What?" asked Lisanna.

He snapped his fingers and everything single door and curtain closed in the room.

He then snapped his fingers and suddenly ropes appeared from the chair and tied up Lucy forcing her to sit down.

"I'm sorry Lucy… I have to kill your friends." Said Jude.

"What?" asked Lucy.

That was when Jude turned into a monster shocking everyone.

"No…" whispered Lucy.

"Now… give me the Silver Crystal." He said, "Or else."

Everyone in the room was in shock over this, with Lucy crying. This was going to be a difficult fight for sure. After all… none of them were expiating this… especially with him being Lucy's father.
