A/N: I apologize for any grammatical errors I might make, I'm doing this on my phone and autocorrect can be a bitch. Normally I'm very proud of my grammar, but looking in my past chapters, there's lots of mistakes and it irks me. So yes, I am aware of this or that. i do not own the Potterverse or any characters you recognize.
**Hermione's POV**
I decided to give Harry a phone call so I stepped out for a bit of privacy, wrapping my cloak around me a bit more.
"Hello Mione, how are you today?"
"In quite a pickle. First off, how did your lunch with Dudley and Petunia go?"
"Quite well actually. They want to see more of the magical world they never embraced, but I haven't the slightest clue on how to show it to them except maybe Diagon Alley."
I smile because Ginny was clearly right. Maybe...
"Well Gin actually had an idea about that that would help with my dilemma as well. I still don't have a date for Narcissa Malfoy's ball, and well, I'm definitely desperate but I don't want to ask someone who holds no conversational interest for me."
"Blimey, are you asking me if you can bring Dudley as your date?! If you actually want to, then I'll talk to him on the mobile if you'd like. And it's not a bad idea but what about Aunt Petunia?" I roll my eyes at him.
"Harry, you're the savior of the wizarding and muggle world alike, as well as friends with the hostess. Show up with two dates. Gin AND Petunia. Introduce her to everyone and see how they react. Besides, I'm positive there will be plenty of things for her to busy herself with. And could you find them something appropriate to wear? My ball gown is bright pink, the color of my curtains in my flat actually. I have to go so send me an owl with all the details of how the lunch with. Love you little brother!"
He laughs at the title I haven't called him in forever.
"Love you too big sister."
I hung up and put my phone away so I could make my way to the library. When I got in there, I saw Draco at my normal hidden away table. Setting my bag down, I sat right beside him.
"Stalking me now? I've always used this table."
I smiled when he looked up at me startled slightly.
"Then it must've been whenever I wasn't here. I've used this table as well, every time I'm in the library. Since we're both here, we can share the table if you like."
"Sounds good."
**Draco's POV**
I shifted my bags so she can get out her books.
"All excited for the Halloween Feast? A nice calm Halloween?"
She snorts and I just raise an eyebrow.
"I haven't had a calm Halloween since being in the magical world. First year, battled a troll and destroyed a bathroom. Second year, came across Mrs. Norris and got insulted by you. Third, that's when Sirius attacked the Gryffindor's portrait. Fourth, Harry's name came out of the Goblet. Fifth, I was in a detention from Umbridge because I thought I knew better than the ministry which I did. Sixth, I was being actively stalked by McLaggen, even the library wasn't safe. Seventh, I was hunting horcruxes. I miss the days of knocking on strangers' doors and asking for candy."
My confusion must've shown on my face because she simply laughed.
"Muggle tradition. Children don costumes and walk around knocking on all their naighbor's doors, the neighbors give them treats of all kinds. My parents hated it but loved the business it brought them. Lots of candy means lots of cavities. They didn't want me to go. So since I was six, Aunt Rosie.. She would take me for the night saying we're going to see a movie or something and would make sure I had the best costume, and a full bag of candy to call my own."
She smiles a little and I see the sadness behind her eyes.
"If you don't mind me asking, why do you get sad whenever you talk about your parents or your Aunt Rosie?"
A thought hit me, and I hoped it wasn't that Death Eaters got to them.
"First off, I feel I should explain that Rosie isn't my actual aunt. She's my mother's best friend from college. They met when I was five and Rosie fell in love with me. She always doted on me since she had no children of her own. Her and her husband Timothy Kelton have always been at all our family parties. I kept in constant contact after Hogwarts through my parents who just told her I was at a boarding school for the gifted. But, in the summer after sixth year, I..."
She looks down before taking a deep breath and continuing with a sad voice.
"I obliviated my parents. So they never knew they even had a daughter and sent them to Australia. They're still there but with their new identities I am no more than a stranger to them. I haven't a clue as to how to get their memories back. Aunt Rosie, I sent her a letter laced with a memory charm simple enough to fool any muggle who never knew about magic and never went back to my childhood home, even if it is in my name. I can't bear it."
I instinctively put an arm around her to comfort her and she was trying to compose herself. I let go of her, realizing she might not like it.
"What about asking the new Minister of Magic? Surely he'd help you. And what if the simple charm never worked on Rosie? She could've left you something at the house?"
"For that to have not worked, she would've had to know about magic. Which, might actually make a bit of sense. It's an idea that crossed my mind when I saw her during holidays but I couldn't just ask..."
**Harry's POV**
Petunia and Dudley were thrilled with Hermione's idea, so I was taking them shopping in Diagon Alley. They were both bursting with excitement when I met them by the Leaky Cauldron.
"Harry, there's nothing there. Are you sure we're in the right place?" Dudley asked nervously. I smile and lead them right through the doors, the pub now showing itself to them.
We have a bite to eat before I lead them to the wall and tap the pattern I'd long since memorized.
"Before we explore all the shops, I need to get some money from my vault as well as ask the goblins about the main Potter vaults, now that things have calmed down."
I watched them look at all the sights in awe before I led them to Gringotts. The first goblin I saw glared at me a little and I decided to find another one.
"Hello, I'd like to make a withdrawal from my trust vault. And inquire about any other Potter vaults?"
"Hello Mr. Potter, my name is Hookfeld and perhaps we can talk in my office? It seems no one has told you."
Petunia and Dudley followed me and Hookfeld into his office and we all sat down.
"Now, you are asking about becoming the Lord Potter as eldest living Potter, correct? You cannot as you are not. That belongs to Lady Potter already."
My jaw dropped.
"Lady Potter? I have more family?! Did you know?" I looked at Petunia with curious eyes.
She looked startled.
"I knew your father had an elder sister who was at their wedding but I didn't interact with her or anyone really besides your mother, my parents, and Vernon. I had thought she died though, simply because she didn't come for you after you were left with us. But that might've had to do with the spells Dumbledore claimed to have shielded us with in the letter he left with you."
I turn back to the goblin.
"Please, what's her name? What can you tell me about her? And do you have a way of reaching this Lady Potter?!"
"She has been rather elusive for years, interacting with us or anyone in the wizarding world on very rare occasion. I can tell you that she likes Diagon Alley just days before September 19th. She always pops in and out. Avoids the press. Her name is Lady Rosalinn Anne Potter Kelton. An owl to this Muggle address normally gets a response." He gives me a slip of parchment he just wrote on.
**Rosie's POV**
I apparated to the Granger household as I had done for the past year and a half every day hoping for some change. Timothy looked around sadly at all the pictures of Lorraine and Thomas.
"So your suspicions about her boarding school seems to be correct Rosie. How do we get our Mia back? And why do none of these pictures feature her? Just Rainy and Tom. It might be time to check in again."
I looked at him sadly with my hazel eyes.
"First I lost my parents, several of my friends, then my baby brother and his wife. Then I couldn't get Harry because of wards Dumbledore had no right casting. And of course, the Muggle world is much more difficult finding someone you don't know their married last name. And finally I lost Rainy and Tom and Mia! Of course it's time to bloody check in!"
I grab him and he closes his eyes tightly as I apparate us to Gringotts and storm into Hookfeld's office, a privilege of being Lady Potter. What I see is a near twin of James that stops me in my tracks.
"Looks like that slip won't be necessary. Mr. Potter, meet Lady Potter. Lady Potter, meet Mr. Harry James Potter."
I see an older Petunia there and I narrow my eyes a little.
"I think we've finally found your nephew love."
Everyone looks at Tim now.
"Timothy Kelton, muggle born. This here is Rosie." He turned very serious. "And you, Harry, do you know our Mia? Erm, Hermione Granger that is."
I saw Hookfeld watching us with interested eyes. I stand with perfect posture and raise my eyebrow.
"Hookfeld, Harry is to have all of the vaults left to James. Arrange for the other goblins to know this and I'd like to talk to Harry now. Privately please with his Muggles."
I waited until Hookfeld was gone.
Harry, this means you'll be inheriting quite a bit. When our parents died, James and I split everything right down the middle and I got the title since I'm the eldest. There's a vault of just jewels, gems, trinkets, and the like. Another of James and Lily's more personal things like journals, furniture, knick knacks, school things, photos, deeds and documents. One that makes your trust vault look empty and barren filled with coins and because of your mother's insistence, approximately 150 million pounds. She insisted to make some of it muggle money in case you needed it. This is all solely yours and cannot be stolen and it's better if most don't know how much money you have. Petunia. Lily left some stuff for you and Dudley in my care before they went into hiding."
"How do you know Hermione? That's a lot to process... Why didn't you come for me? Can I get to know you?"
I smile.
"Patience love. Let's all go out to eat, my treat. We'll talk."
