A/N: What do you think so far? I see that people are reading but I'm getting like no feedback! Oh well. Since Hermione and Harry have always considered each other like a sibling, I figured Rosie would kinda make it legit. She can't have kids of her own, had already semi adopted Hermione because the Grangers were always working. And she'll treat Harry like her son too. I have a big family so I couldn't imagine the pain of losing everyone down to two blood relatives. Hence Rosie. To wrap up this long author's note, I do not own any recognized characters or the Potterverse.
**Harry's POV**
I watched the woman with the long black hair and I could barely comprehend she was my aunt. By blood. I saw her eyeing Petunia warily and I figured I should say something. Tim was leading us to a small cafe.
"Erm, we just had lunch."
Dudley looked at me awkwardly as he said this.
"Ice cream then?"
"I was actually giving Petunia and Dudley a tour of Diagon Alley and having them get proper attire for Narcissa Malfoy's Halloween ball next week. Let's head to Madame Malkin's? Dud, Mione's very happy you've agreed to be her date and wanted me to inform you her dress is bright pink, the color she's charmed her curtains in her flat."
Rosie smiled softly.
"Mia still likes hot pink? Does she insist on writing all non homework or test work in the color? Or what about paint her big toe nails just before a test? Tell me, does she still sing when the radio is on and not even realize it most of the time?"
I raised my eyebrows.
"You're very close with Mione, aren't you? I didn't know she did the toe thing until fourth year. And yes to the notes and all that in pink."
"Rosie here met Rainy when Mia was about five. College classes. Rainy was picking up some extra classes to enrich her education and Rosie was working on memories. The muggle point of view, learning about amnesia, psychology, all that. When Rainy, Lorraine that is, heard she had no plans except for sitting with me on Christmas Day, she insisted on us coming for dinner. We were told that they had a precocious little five year old daughter so we went and got loads of presents that included clothes, sweets, books, and toys. When we arrived this small girl with her wildly curly hair braided back greeted us with curious eyes. Her first words to us were 'I'm Hermione Granger. What's your favorite book? I like Matilda!' We fell in love with the little girl. Rainy and Tom, Thomas that is, laughed at us bringing so many presents for a child we hadn't met..."
"That's when I told them I couldn't have kids because of medical issues and had never bought presents for children so I was likely to go overboard. I babysat Mia quite a lot since I had much more free time than two working dentists. Tim and I grew attached. As well as being very good friends with Rainy and Tom."
**Hermione's POV**
I pulled out my pink gel pen as I composed a letter for Athena to take for me when she got back from Harry's latest letter. I didn't know what to write when I felt a gentle knocking on my head.
"Earth to Mione, come in Hermione. Have you heard a word of what I've said?"
i grin at Ginny.
"You're worried that the Holly Head Harpies might only be interested in you because of your role in the war, or being Harry's love interest and it'll look good for publicity if the Boy Who Lived was cheering on the team. But Gin, you're an amazing Quidditch player. And you know this! So they want to watch you play, that's a good thing! They rarely scout while you're still at Hogwarts! The Holly Head Harpies are exclusive and only normally use their extensive tryouts to find talent. You'll be fine Gin."
"How do you do that Hermione? How do you say exactly what I need to hear? And who's the letter for?"
"Kingsley. I'm hoping he can help me find my parents and reverse my obliviate. Or send someone who knows about memory charms? I'm not sure. Anyways, I don't exactly know what to write, so I might just do it in later tonight. I do miss my parents, but what if they hate me? I tampered with their minds, the very thing they value most of all..."
I was cut off by the morning owls. Athena landed on an empty space beside me followed by a beautiful black owl with silvery feathers mixed in. Ginny grabbed the tag.
"It's from Harry. 'Gin, this is Arietta. She's our new owl. She'll check in with you frequently as well as me. She even has her first letter attached. Love you!' Arietta. What a pretty bird."
I grabbed the letters from Athena, who was nibbling on my bacon. One from Harry, one from Ron, one from Dudley, one beautifully embossed golden envelope with glittering roses. Wait, I know those envelopes... I opened it up in a rush and before I could read it, two voices I've known my whole life start speaking.
"Mia! Pardon her possibly ear shattering hello, you know how Rosie is darling. Don't patronize me Timothy Andrew, I am speaking to my Mia! Hello love, so, it would seem we are both not only beautiful and brilliant but also beautiful and brilliant witches! Fancy that! Rosie, off topic. Mia, she's rather pleased she gets to use her special stationary now. Tim, hush. So, it turns out that a very good friend of yours is the son of that little brother I told you about, the one I never told you the name of? His name was James Charlus Potter! Bet that sounds familiar, yea? You guessed my little turtleduck! Harry is very pleased to get to know us. Also, his aunt seems different from when I met her almost twenty years. Almost pleasant, although Rosie doesn't trust her yet. Much love Mia, write us soon! Yes, much love darling. I expect real stories about what your school years were like. The full truth. I'll be asking my darling nephew as well and it turns out he's very chatty as long as I reciprocate with stories of his parents. Fair warning my little turtleduck."
Ginny smiled while she pet Arietta gently.
**Draco's POV**
My large eagle owl landed beside me with a large box of sweets attached to the letter Mother sent. Blaise threw him large bacon pieces and Ares caught it in his sharp beak.
"What's your Mum say? Are there any of her cookies in that box?"
Pansy saddled over to us and tried nuzzling my neck and I shook her off, causing her to pout.
"Drakey, why are you so mean? I need someone sane to talk to, I'm trapped with bloody Fatbottom and Looney Lovegood! I can't say I've learned anything about him except that he likes plants. Mostly I avoid our common room and spend my time with the snakes. He keeps asking me for time and Looney says my aura needs work, thank god we aren't celebrating Halloween with these losers."
Blaise looked at her angrily.
"That Gryffindork is the one who stepped in when both Carrows wanted a pet Pureblood to take to bed, you by the way. He was the one who even tried helping the Slytherins as well as everyone else. And Looney, Luna by the way, she was the one who came into the dungeons every night to heal our bruises and wounds."
"Ugh Blaise has gone rather soft, is that what happens when you get with some Indie twit?"
Blaise looked murderous.
"Leave Patil out of this. Instead of whining about the heroes, try imagining a world where that sociopath lived and ruled. He wouldn't give a damn about blood purity, only that everyone fears him. I'm glad Potter and his side won."
"Blaise is right about him not caring about blood purity. As much as he spouted it, he himself was a half blood. His father was a muggle. I have to go, I'm meeting Her-Granger and the Weaselette because Weaselette wants to ask questions too. In case Granger needed help coming up with any. Blaise, you coming mate?"
We both got up and left Pansy there as Ares took off with a screech in her face when she tried petting him. I laughed as I popped a cookie from the box into my mouth.
**Ginny's POV**
Neville sat by us and waved gently.
"Hello. So, erm, Grams say I have to get Luna flowers for the ball but I don't know what kind of flowers she'd like and you're the only girls I really talk to besides Hannah and Pansy avoids me. Would it be okay if I bothered you to know the best kind of flowers?"
Mione smiled gently and nodded.
"Luna likes oddities, right? Get her some rare or exotic flowers. You know plenty. What have you learned about Pansy? For the project."
"She sings. And hums. As well as the piano. Mostly they're sad and she's doing it to avoid me, but it's her release. She writes a lot of her own stuff. And her favorite color is sky blue. She likes the roses that are charmed to be golden in the courtyard, she's also not aware they're actual gold with silver stems. That's why the roses are charmed to only be given in the truest of love, no one can just pick one or get one off the ground. Supposedly Helga Hufflepuff herself planted the bush-"
"Nev! You're rambling. Although, I didn't know that about the roses." Hermione looked thoughtful as sat there blushing. I'll have her tell me all about it later. I saw Malfoy talk to that Parkinson cow with a sneer that made me laugh and it reminded me that we had to meet him.
"Mione! We're meeting the ferret so I can challenge him to fly! Although he thinks I have questions of my own. I have Harry's firebolt too, Nev you want to come?"
"No, I'm meeting with Sprout about an internship or something over the summer break in Tanzania."
We left and I pulled Hermione to me.
"Why did Neville's rambling make you blush? About the roses?"
"Oh, um well, Draco gave me a rose. From that bush. It was one that had fallen off and he just handed it to me. It's in my room."
