In a large room of Prince Manor in Italy, a sixty year old man was looking curiously at the notes and journals at the table.

Severus Snape looked at the runes happily. Finally after thirty years of research he had finally managed to gather the knowledge regarding them and achieved the answer about which the wizarding world still was searching.

He had survived the war and completely faked his death, from the last twenty two years he had been living around in the muggle world peacefully doing what he always wanted to do.

From the moment he had joined the class of ancient runes in his third year, he had wondered whether or not runes were the predecessor to wands. It had been a topic of interest for long with the answer not clear to anyone as Runes were only useful to decipher and gain more information from archaeological sites today.

He slumped at the chair as he finally memorized all of them, Occlumency reallyhelped him in having an eidetic memory.

It had been twenty two years since the Dark Lord was defeated by Harry Potter once more. The Felix Felicis which he had drank at the day of the battle really worked in his luck, he was able to give his memories to the boy and even grabbed the bottle of Phoenix Tears which he had bought years ago before his death. Hehad asked his house elf to bring a corpse from the battle field as he escaped from the shrieking shack while placing the corpse in his place and burned the shack completely so that it looked like it was caught in a stray spell or burned down by a Death Eater. Noone knew he had survived the war and he wanted it to be like that.

He had immersed himself in the muggle world learning architecture, various topics and their biology and science, travelling around the world visiting and discovering ruins and archaeological magical sites which he had always wanted to do.

He had left his house elf in Hogwarts among the other elves so that he could gain information from him. It had been helpful in retrieving the Elder Wand, Severus had cursed the Potter boy's stupidity. Everyone in the inner circle knew that the Dark Lord had the Elder Wand or was after it and Potter had taunted the Dark Lord about the mastery of the wand infront of the Great Hall among Death Eaters and the others. The Elder Wand was a fearsome thing in someone's skilled hands and Severus knew that even the Elder Wand won't stay loyal to Potter, such was the nature of that wand. Hell any future Death Eater or dark wizard would be easily able to take the wand from its place of storage. 'What had the boy been thinking when he chose in his infinite wisdom to place the wand there', even Riley had managed to carefully retrieve the wand back and Riley was a house elf not a wizard. Severus had felt the Elder Wand acknowledging him as its master when he had took it from Riley. The Elder wood wands are always trickiest to master, Wandlore was a very confusing subject in which even the biggest wandmakers had to admit defeat. There were various contradictions in the subject which had been the reason not many could become good at it. The biggest example was the transfer of ownership he had experienced. For example a person buys a wand which chooses him and the said wand changes its allegiance within a second of being disarmed or taken from your hand, it was honestly the main reason Severus never bothered with learning more about wandlore.

From one of these archaeological ruins he had discovered a series of stone tablets of runes which he had never seen before, it had taken him 6 months before he cracked it and learnt that they were the predecessor of the modern or old runes about which they learnt. Infact those runes were magical in nature and a specific arrangement provided a desired circumstance or magic though a little magic was needed to be pushed to them. It was a fascinating thing to learn and he had enjoyed this challenge very much.

He looked at the small box which he had found in the ruins too. The box was pitch black and Severus had tried many spells to open it but none had been successful so far.

As he sat on the couch going to write his completed notes on the ruins he suddenly saw the box shaking and opening itself with a jolt. He didn't had time to react as a bright light felt on him which had emerged from the box and then he knew no more.

Eddard Stark was riding with Robert Baratheon as they made their way to the river. Their knights and soldiers were making their camps and both of them had decided to ditch them for a while to have a quiet ride to the river. They already were too tired by the constant riding they had done to reach Harrenhall. It was really a long way to Harrenhall from Stormlands and they still had a week's time to reach there.

He looked at the stream in which they had reached and got down from their horses.

"I can't wait to meet Lyanna and your family. Would Lyanna like me Ned?" Robert asked for the tenth time since the morning.

Ned sighed, why do Robert had to be so energetic in terms of Lyanna, he honestly didn't wanted to tell his friend that his sister disliked him because of his whoring ways. Honestly he didn't want to break Robert's heart but he dearly wanted to give him the ground reality talk.

However something happened which put that thought to the back of his mind. Both Robert and he saw suddenly a man appear out of nowhere, two feet above the air at a distance of ten feet from them as they were walking towards the stream. The man fell with a thud to the ground infront of them.

Ned looked at Robert who too seemed to be stunned by the sight.

"Ned, are my eyes deceiving me?" he whispered dumbfounded as it was not everyday you see a man appear out of thin air.

"It seems both of us are seeing the same thing" Ned whispered back as he brought out his sword from the scabbard.

From the corner of the eye he saw Robert gripping his smaller warhammer as the larger one was left in the camp.

He walked to the man slowly, Robert following him alert. When Ned reached near him he frowned, the man he saw appearing was a handsome boy of their age who was unconscious.

Robert went to the stream and brought some water in his hands which he sprayed at the man's face.

The man mumbled out a groan as he opened his eyes and immediately went on alert as he saw their weapons which they were holding.

"Are you okay?" Ned asked carefully as he stood up.

The man nodded, "I am fine" he said as he tried to got up using his arms.

"Where am I?" the boy who looked to be his age asked Ned with a curious and guarded look seeing the warhammer in Robert's hands.

"You are currently at The Riverlands, one of the seven kingdoms" Ned spoke up calmly as he gauged the man's face for reactions.

The man gave away nothing but after some moments, he looked at their swords and attires.

"Can you please tell me more about this seven kingdoms?" he asked politely looking at both of them.

Ned thought for a second and then looked at Robert who nodded. The man was wearing strange clothes and yet they seemed to look comfortable and even his accent was different.

Ned sheathed his sword back as he took a relaxed stance, the stranger with raven hair didn't looked much like a fighter and he doubted he could go toe to toe with Robert.

"Well the Seven kingdoms comprises of The North, The Stormlands, The Vale, The Riverlands, Dorne, The Reach and The Rock. All of this are ruled over by House Targaryen..." Ned started to explain as the man started to listen carefully to their words.

When Ned finished his explanation the man's face turned pensive and he groaned angrily after some moments "why me?"

"What happened?" Robert asked curiously, perplexed at the man's behaviour.

"I am not from here" the man spoke looking at Robert after some moments of thinking.

"We know that, noone appears just out of thin air like you" Robert pointed out bluntly.

The man sighed "I meant I am not from this world. I was experimenting with some things and the next thing I know, I amwoken up by you two" the man explained impatiently.

Ned became curious and alert, not from this world meant that he was from another world, it did explained how he didn't knew about the Seven kingdoms.

"You must be experimenting something big if it sent you here by accident!" Robert exclaimed.

The man shrugged "I was experimenting something related to magic" he said with a guarded voice.

Robert stilled and Ned's interest piped more, he was no stranger to magic. Their family roots and even the stories of North were filled with magic unlike those of South, wargs, white walkers, greenseer, snarks these were all popular tales in the North. He looked sideways at Robert who seemed guarded but curious too, it was little surprising as the Faith of Seven never did have much to tell about magic and detested the practice of magic or its mentions labelling it as vile.

"You can do magic?" Robert asked skeptically looking at the man with a raised eyebrow.

The man nodded and spoke up after a moment looking at both of them "perhaps a demonstration would be nice."

The man looked around and saw something, his eyes furrowed in concentration as a pebble which was lying on ground suddenly came flying to his hand.

Robert's eyes widened and his mouth open in disbelief as he looked at the wizard with curiousity for some moments.

"I believe we have many important things to discuss" Ned spoke up as he looked both at the magician and Robert with a serious gaze.
