Severus Prince looked at the camp of soldiers as they ate some loaves of bread and roasted meat.

Honestly even in his wildest dreams, he hadn't thought that he will land himself in a medeival world of all places, still atleast he had found himself in a better company than he had hoped.

The soldiers and knights had stared curiously at him when he returned with Ned and Robert. Ned had explained about the stigmas of magic and that they will have a detailed discussion about it. Honestly it wasn't until he arrived to the camps that he learnt that Robert was the Lord Paramount of The Stormlands. Only his luck was cursed so much that he would have to meet a Great Lord at his first day. He had tried to apologize to Robert, but the man had laughed it off. The man certainly never behaved like a Medeival Lord as Severus had expected.

He had seen his face in the stream of river and had been shocked, he was deaged and his face was same except that his hooked nose was gone. Looking at his body, he had concluded that he was around 17 or 18 years old. Ned was seventeen and was going to reach eighteen whereas Robert was already eighteen.

He had learnt more about Ned and Robert from their soldiers, Ned was a second son of the Lord Paramount of North whereas Robert parents had died already making him a Lord Paramount so young.

Ned, Robert and he had finally decided on a story about his origins near the river, that he was a from a rich family from the West of Westeros. Technically there were many irregularities in his story but Ned and Robert had explained that noone knew what was West of Westeros. He had finally relented as he had no wand with him at the moment, only his pouch which was charmed with an unlimited extension charm and contained some potions for emergency use, millions of galleons which were his savings plus the Prince Fortune and the Fortune of The Founders of Hogwarts, some stuff which he had build here and there or collected. He had kept the money after he had emptied all his accounts in Gringotts. The Prince family never trusted Goblins as the little hellions were too traitorous, they only kept their bare minimum there while they stored their money in the basement of manor which was heavily warded along with Blood wards. It was a nice decision as in case of a Goblin rebellion, the little thieves could practically bring down the economy.

The Fortune of the Founders along with their knowledge was retrieved by him when he learnt about the Room Of Requirements from the Potter brat during occlumency lessons. He had visited the room secretly after Dumbledore had left the school during Umbridge's rule and had asked the room for fortune and knowledge of Founders. The founders lived much earlier than the foundation of Gringotts so it was logical that they stored their fortune or knowledge somewhere else and what place better than one which they had build together. It was a well put thought he had presented to the room and was himself suprised when he found that he was right in assuming it. He had taken them all with him to his home and left the Fortune in the Prince Manor which he had inherited. By the time he had inherited the Prince title he was pretty much popular with his Snape surname so he never took the Prince name formally just kept it hidden.

The knights finished eating and then started to place bets about the upcoming melee in Harrenhall as Robert proclaimed that he will join the melee himself to participate after he had gulped a glass of wine. Severus would be lying if he said he was not feeling pity for Robert's opponent, the man had a towering height along with muscles which were packed on his body and the warhammer he had seen in his tent which he had seen Robert wielding effortlessly, overall he was one hell of a deadly fighter.

The eating and drinking continued as the soldiers and the knights enjoyed the night before everyone went to their tents. On further thinking looking at their tents, he did have a luxurious tent with him which was given by Lucius as a gift and another two which he had bought for himself as the tent given by Lucius was too luxurious for his tastes.

He walked with Ned as Robert trailed after them some moments later as he finished regaling tales of his battle to the knights. There was a time when Severus would have hated anyone like him but twenty two years of wandering around the world and visiting places and peoples had changed him much from his previous angry bitter self. He had visited monks who had the absolute mastery of occlumency and under whom he had trained two years to develop it to fullest. He had even defeated their brightest and the most capable mind arts user there and infact the man had smile on his face even after he was defeated. Living with the monks and seeing their lifestyle had changed something inside him and he became calm and at peace with himself and that had been the moment his patronus was no longer more a doe instead it changed to form a thunderbird. A bird which represented individual strength and independecy.

"So Severus, how did you find our camp?" Robert boisterously asked as entered inside the tent.

Severus looked at the man's enthusiasm "it was certainly an experience Lord Robert" he replied politely.

"Oh leave that Lord stuff, we are currently on our tent besides you are a friend of mine" he said frankly, dismissing the formalities as it it were nothing. He saw Ned's disapproving gaze at Robert's antics and was amused inside.

"See even Severus agrees, stop being so boring Ned" Robert said as he spotted his amused look.

They all sat around the small table which was placed inside the tent as Ned decided to continue the interrogation.

"Tell us more about yourself Severus?" Ned asked him calmly, Severus clearly understood his intentions, he wanted information from him and Severus honestly found no fault at the man's actions.

"I was born in a country called England" he spoke up calmly.

"Country?" Robert asked, unfamiliar with the word.

"Think of it like kingdoms" he explained to the Lord of Stormlands.

"Our world consisted of two types of peoples, one were called muggles; who didn't have the gift to wield magic, while the others were witches and wizards; who could wield magic. Both the communities were divided and the muggle community held no knowlege about the wizarding one" he said to the astonished looks on both the Lord's faces.

"At the age of eleven, I joined the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry where I learnt more about magic and then later on went to become a Potions Master" he omitted the facts about the houses and the war in which he had acted as the spy.

"What is a school and Potions Master" Robert asked again this time.

"A school is a place where children of all age study and learn together and a Potions Master is someone who is skilled in making Potions and had achieved mastery of the subject" he said calmly.

Ned's brows furrowed "all the children learn and study" he asked curiously.

Severus nodded "our country and the majorities of the countries in the world were ruled by the concept of Democracy. In this concept, people elect their leaders for them for a certain period of time, when the time ends an election is held once again for the post. It is helpful in a way that the government formed had to act in people's benefits if they want to remain in power" he explained to the astonished looks of both the lords who had never thought about the concept.

"It seems quite an interesting place" Robert spoke up enthusiastically, a place like that would mean there would be not much discrimination, it will surely piss of most of the Lords of the realm.

"Yes, after some time of being a Potions Master, I retired to travel around the world learning more about things until I arrived here while experimenting on something I had found in a ruin" he explained to their baffled looks.

"You speak as you were older than your age now, how old were you at the time of the experiment?" Ned pointed out, picking the small detail as he asked him.

"Sixty years" he said with a half smile to their stunned looks.

Robert started to laugh as he gave a pat at Ned's back which broke out Ned from his surprised look "hahaaa, you are perhaps the oldest person in the camp" Robert jokingly said looking at him.

"I may be, I am now deaged and I honestly don't know what to do now as I am new to this world" Severus said with an exasperated sigh.

"You told earlier that without a wand you can't perform much magic just very basic ones?" Ned asked to confirm him of his morning's statement.

Severus nodded as Ned started to think something, even Robert became silent when Ned was thinking.

"Your origins could be doubted?" he said furrowing his brows remembering the story they had made up.

"Don't worry, I have money to pose the previous part. The problem with me will be that without my wand I am not much great at things such as fighting. I don't know to wield a sword or weapon and I could be killed by even a weak bandit" he said as he explained his dilemma. Life in this world was very cheap which he had learnt just in a day and he didn't wanted to die by a sword in his chest.

Ned nodded "it is the reason why I think we should train you till our journey to Harrenhall, after that it will be upto you to decide your journey" he said calmly gaining a nod from Severus.

"You could come with me to Stormlands, I can grant you a keep or make you a Lord" Robert said putting forward his opinion.

Severus smiled at Robert's words, the man may not be good in his etiquettes or pleasantries but he had a nice heart for his friends, which even he could see from their little time he had spent.

"I will take that into consideration Robert" he said amusedly.

"So you have a sword?" Robert asked him curiously, his warrior side coming out.

Severus thought for a second "I do have one, would you like to see it?" he asked politely.

Robert nodded "aye, I want to see which swords wizards use" he spoke up, curiosity filled in his voice.

"Wait" Severus said as he took out his pouch from his waist, the pouch was bound with him and was locked with blood charms and had charms which always returned it to him instantly.

He placed the pouch on the table, amidst the curious eyes of both the Lords as he inserted his hand into the pouch upto his elbow earning a muffled "seven hells" from Robert.

He finally found the hilt of one of the many Goblin made swords he had found in the Prince Manor. Even Severus had managed to learn smithing Goblin steel and now could make weapons with it, though it was something he rarely did. He had learnt the method from Salazar Slytherin's journal, the old founder had been curious about Godric's sword so inorder to learn the process he set death traps for some Goblins and rescued them from it and later invoked the life debt to learn about the process. With no choice but to admit, the Goblins had showed him only to be killed by Salazar once he completely learnt it as they would have been killed by the other Goblins for disclosing their secrets, Salazar had mentioned it as an act of mercy killing because otherwise the Goblins would have been tortured by their own kind before being killed.

He brought out the sword from the pouch and laid it on the table as he placed the pouch on his pocket.

Robert and Ned were staring curiously at the sword which was shining.

"The metal is called Goblin steel, the steel does not chip or break and absorb anything it comes into contact which could make it stronger such as poisons. The blade will always be sharp and never needed to be polished" he explained as he passed the broadsword hilt to Ned who took the blade curiously and inspected it.

"It sounds cooler than even Valyrian Steel" Robert exclaimed as he brought his face closer to the sword.

"Valyrian Steel, what are they?" Severus asked curiously, for Robert to give that expression it meant Valyrian Steel was something else and bettee than normal steel.

"Later" Robert said as he took the sword from Ned and stood up and swung it in air.

"The balance's nice and the sword felt light" Robert said as he gave the sword back to Severus who pocketed it back in the pouch.

"Valyrian Steel is a steel which was used to be forged in Valyria during the days prior to its doom. The weapons made of these steel are light and sharp cutting through anything and their blades never chip or dull. It is believed that the Valyrians used magic to forge it as noone has managed to forge it again" Robert explained as he gave him the details.

"So the Valyrians knew magic?" Severus asked curiously to him.

"Aye, they rode dragons and our King and his family are the last descendants of the Valyrians as the Valyrian empire was completely destroyed" Robert said calmly, as he told him about the doom.

"Apparently Daenys the dreamer foresaw the doom and called her family to leave Valyria. Her predictions came true as the doom happened destroying all the families leaving only Targaryens" Ned spoke up calmly as he continued Robert's expression.

Severus nodded, he will look into them later.

"So this tourney of Harrenhall is going to be the biggest tourney" he asked to both of the Lords.

"Aye, apparently every noble family is going to be invited and the prize money is the greatest till now" Robert said cheerfully, Severus personally thought that just the idea of tourney was enough to excite him.

"Hmm, it means that the King could be there?" Severus asked looking to both of them.

This stopped both of them for a little, Ned frowned slightly. "We were told that King would not arrive but there is a chance that he could so" he spoke after some moments of musing.

"Aye, noone can predict what he will do?" Robert said pensively.

"Why is that so?" Severus asked curiously.

Robert's expression turned serious and he looked around "it is treason to talk like that but it is believed that the King has became erratic over the years, he burns his victims alive in Wildfire" he said in as serious and slow voice. This was perhaps the most serious Severus had seen Robert.

"I have picked some gifts for the Royal family, Ned's family would also so there bearing gifts. I think you should think about some gifts if you want to meet King otherwise you can pretend to be a small merchant or Knight with us" Robert said as he took out a goblet of wine and started to drink it from nearby pitcher.

"I will keep that in mind" he said as he mentally thought about the choice of presenting himself infront of the King or just remain unnoticed. Ned looked at him with a knowing look as he sighed at Robert who poured another goblet of wine to drink.

There were many things in his mind as he went to sleep but not before checking around him for unsavoury elements. This new world was certainly strange for him.
