Sk8er Boi

"Hey Mimi, what's with the cool outfit?" TK asked.

"I got a job at Aimee's Skate Shop," Mimi cradled a skateboard.

"Congrats! That's a cool gig," Matt nodded.

"Thanks, I'm so excited! I already like it much better than the stupid bra store!" Mimi beamed.

"Do they care that you don't know how to skateboard?" Tai smirked.

"Shut up, I totally know how to skate!" Mimi protested.

"Then how come we've never seen you skate?" Matt hummed.

"Because…because it's a secret hobby and it's none of your business what I do in my free time," Mimi defensively said.

"Do we need to know what she's talking about?" Sora walked to the table, Izzy behind her.

"Apparently Mimi's been skateboarding for years and she never told us," Tai scoffed.

"You never know. I don't tell you guys everything I do," Sora sipped at a glittery blue drink.

"Thank you, Sora!" Mimi smugly crossed her arms.

"Hey, hey, hey! Speaking of, what are you talking about, Sora? Holding out on something?" Tai snapped his fingers.

"Yeah, where have the two of you been?" Matt squinted his eyes at Sora and Izzy.

"We just went to the new cafe that opened at the opposite end of the mall," Sora shrugged.

"It's good coffee, but I hate that it's pretty far. Damn…I'm out already," Izzy shook his empty coffee cup.

"There's a new cafe? Man, is that why I'm not making as much business? I'm gonna be in so much trouble," TK groaned.

"Again, the coffee is good-"

"If you like the taste of butthole," Tai interrupted.

"Tai, there's other drinks on the menu. Try this," Sora handed him her glittery blue drink.

"Holy shirtballs, this is amazing…amazingly too sweet! Take it back," Tai stuck his tongue out.

"Great. They make coffee and pretty drinks. It's fine if you guys would rather have that instead of a smoothie, sure…," TK rolled his eyes.

"It doesn't hurt to check it out. You want us to bring you back something?" Matt asked.

"No. I don't want anything," TK gritted his teeth.

"Alright! I guess we'll check it out ourselves! See you around, little bro!" Matt stuck his tongue out and ushered the group away.

"Whatever, I have more friends. I have three I could name right off the bat…," TK drew happy faces on his fingers. "Look, the gang's all here…"

"Where? I don't see anyone," Kari frowned.

"Oh, hey Kari…interesting apron. Where are you working now?" TK looked her up and down quickly.

"I just got a job at this cafe at the other side of the mall. It's alright I guess, but a lot of the customers are demanding. Anyways, where's everyone else? I thought someone would have been here by now," Kari grabbed some bobby pins from her pocket and started pinning her bangs away from her face.

"They're actually all on the way to your place," TK smirked.

"What? Are you kidding me?! Great…if they find out I work there, they might never leave me alone!" Kari whined.

"Maybe the novelty might die out eventually. They left me for you," TK snorted.

"I don't want to go back to work, but I guess I should. They're gonna need me. I'll see you around," Kari reluctantly shuffled away.

"Have fun," TK droned. He locked away his blender and put away the fruit, then locked up his kiosk. No one was going to stop by the smoothie shop for a bit, he might as well take a break.

"Hi, welcome to Cafe Europa, how can I help you?" a girl with long, blonde hair smiled.

"Hey, this is our first time here. What's your most popular drink?" Matt squinted at the menu.

"Because it's fall, we're selling a lot of the pumpkin spice latte, but we're also selling a lot of caramel apple too. Year round favorites include the non-coffee unicorn Frappuccino, which is like a cotton candy ice cream slushee, and the fruit punch refresher, which is kinda like a juice," the girl said.

"I'll take a small unicorn Frappuccino please," Mimi ordered.

"Oh, you mean Grande," the girl said.

"What?" Mimi frowned.

"I'm sorry! The sizes are Grande, Ampla, and Enorme," the girl held up some empty cups.

"What? Isn't that just different ways of saying the word big? That's stupid," Tai scoffed.

"I don't make up the menu, I'm just the barista," the girl put her hands on her hips.

"Tai, just take a chill pill. I'm sorry about him. I'll take an Enorme fruit punch refresher," Matt smacked Tai in the chest.

"I'll have an Enorme black coffee," Izzy said.

"Can I have another Enorme mermaid frap?" Sora asked.

"Nothing for me," Tai scoffed.

"Very well. Coming right up," the girl said.

"Come on Tai, you need to loosen up and try new things," Sora scolded him.

"No, this place is stupid and pretentious. Also, overpriced. Izzy, you're paying $4 for plain coffee," Tai made a face.

"And? Mind your business," Izzy curtly said.

"Forget it, you guys are morons," Tai stomped out of the cafe.

"Whatever, he can think what he wants. This is delicious," Matt shrugged.

"Thanks for letting us know about this place, guys!" Mimi licked the whipped cream off of her drink.

"No problem," Sora smiled.

"Well, I gotta head back to work," Izzy said.

"Same," Matt nodded.

"See you guys later," Sora smiled.

"Hi, excuse me…can I get a large cotton candy slushie thing?"

"Tai? What are you doing here?" Kari turned around.

"Kari?! What are you doing here?!" Tai winced.

"I work here," Kari crossed her arms.

"Oh…," Tai's face fell. "So can you keep this little visit a secret between us siblings? Hahahahahah!"

"Let me guess what you want," Kari handed him a unicorn frappuccino.

"Thanks. You're not gonna tell anyone about this, are you?" Tai sheepishly smiled.

"Please leave," Kari pressed her lips together.

"Leaving!" Tai nervously laughed.

"Hey Izumi, meet your new coworker Angie? Isn't she the cutest? Just don't get carried away and hit her with that third leg of yours though," Yolei shoved a girl with spiky auburn pigtails in Izzy's direction.

"Whoooa!" the girl stumbled over.

"Yolei, what the hell is the matter with you? You can't just push people around wherever you want! Someone could get hurt," Izzy helped the girl onto her feet.

"Thanks," the girl meekly said.

"You're overreacting! See, you guys are fine! Like I said, just watch where you point that thing! That's what you should be more concerned about. Now if you don't mind me, I'm gonna meet up with my bestie. You show Angie the ropes while I'm gone, okay? Bye!" Yolei sipped at a unicorn frappe and walked away.

"Ugh, she's unbelievable," Izzy grunted.

"So…I'm Angie," the girl introduced herself.

"Hi, I'm Izzy. So what on earth made you want to work here?" Izzy asked.

"I like the color pink, and this store sells everything pink, so I thought this would be a good fit for me," Angie shrugged. "How did you end up working here?"

"This was the only place that called me back. Apparently I had the perfect look," Izzy crossed his arms.

"Is it because of…," Angie awkwardly gestured at his belt buckle.

"The shirt. I was wearing a pink shirt that day. Pink! Eyes up here, please!" Izzy frantically pointed to his face and walked behind the register.

"Sorry," Angie turned red. "So how is it working here?"

"Depends. Yolei's barely here, but when she is, she's embarrassing, rude, crass, lazy, and overall obnoxious. For the most part, I just end up running the store by myself- speaking of, I should talk to someone about that…," Izzy rambled.

"Oh," Angie's face fell.

"Hello, we're wondering if you could help us out with something," a couple of girls walked into the store.

"Yeah, we totally need your help," one of the girls nodded.

"Sure ladies. What can we help you with?" Izzy asked.

"Soooo, we like this hat on display, but it's up high. Would you be able to get it for us?" the first girl coyly asked.

"Sure. Let me get a step ladder," Angie said.

"No, we want the guy to get it," the girls said.

"Oh, okay…," Izzy paused and picked up a metal hook.

"She wasn't kidding…."

"Oh my god, Stacey! Shut up!"

"You shut up, Claude!"

"Um, how many hats did you say you needed?" Izzy asked.

"One more please?" the girls smiled and continued to whisper amongst themselves.

"Here you go. Anything else?" Izzy asked.

"Hmm…my friend here wants to know how long is-"

"How long would it take for a special order to get shipped to store!" the girl interrupted her friend.

"Depends. It's definitely quicker to get a ship to store compared to getting it delivered to your home. I would say ship to store is about 3-5 business days though," Izzy said.

"What if it was a home delivery?" the girl bit at her nail.

"Again, depends what you're ordering. The larger the parcel, the longer the wait time, but I would say maybe 7-10 business days at most? I think the website has more accurate answers though," Izzy replied.

"The larger the parcel, the longer it'll be? Okay, thank you…," the girls nodded and walked away.

"Wait, did you still want your hats?" Izzy trailed off.

"I don't think they came here for the hats," Angie awkwardly smiled.

"What do you mean?" Izzy asked.

"Hey, Tai's friend!" Megumi pulled Miki into the store.

"Hi ladies, what can I do you for?" Izzy asked.

"That's a loaded question if I heard one," Miki smirked.

"Huh?" Izzy straightened his posture.

"Come on, just ask. We all know why we're here…," Megumi teasingly said.

"What's going on?" Izzy stepped back.

"Uh…," Miki blushed. "So I heard you guys have an exclusive shade of pink gloss and we don't sell it at our store. Is it okay if I use my discount?"

"That's odd, but sure. Take however many you want," Izzy shrugged.

"That's not why we're here," Megumi sang.

"Shut up. Yes it is. I saw what I saw and I did my research. I'm good," Miki nudged Megumi.

"Are you? I don't think I would be," Megumi sighed.

"Just ring me up. Now that I see it in person, let's just say all the other lip gloss shades are probably gonna be disappointing," Miki pressed her lips together.

"It's just pink," Izzy shrugged.

"You obviously don't know what you have, do you? Anyways, we should go, noooow…," Miki turned red and grabbed the lip glosses from Izzy.

"Bye," Megumi giggled as she followed Miki out.

"I don't think they were talking about lip glosses," Angie said as the girls walked out of the store.

"What? What else would they be talking about?" Izzy asked.

"You might wanna put this on. I feel like it's been poking me in the eye all shift- no offense," Angie tossed a pink apron in Izzy's direction.

"It-no….no, you mean?!" Izzy gasped.

"Yeah," Angie sheepishly nodded.

"What the heck? How come no one's ever told me?" Izzy frantically tied the apron on.

"What do you mean? Don't you notice it?" Angie gasped.

"I don't spend hours looking at myself, I assume no one else does either!" Izzy yelled.

"Maybe you should start…," Angie hummed.

"Wasn't that a wicked trick? What do you have up your sleeve?" a tan boy with spiky brown hair skated over to Mimi.

"I like to keep it under wraps. I'm still recovering from a sprained…butt," Mimi nervously laughed.

"Oh, how did that happen?" the boy asked.

"Unrelated accident, a car," Mimi stumbled on her words.

"No offense, but you do give off those bad driver vibes," the boy winced.

"Nooo, I didn't drive! I got hit by a car. But it totally sucks because I liked to skate," Mimi awkwardly shrugged.

"I could see how that could be traumatizing. Yeah, I say take it easy until you feel comfortable. People don't think that your butt is that important, but hello- ever heard of equilibrium?" the guy shrugged.

"Yeah, you get it…," Mimi nervously laughed. "So Takuya, I'm gonna take a break. I'll be back in a few!"

"Sure! Don't take too long!" the boy winked.

"Oh Jesus, I might be in trouble…," Mimi muttered to herself. She frantically walked around the food court until she saw Davis's booth. "Hello? Anyone here?"

"Sorry, the doctors are out…more like they're on a coffee break so it might be a while till they get back," Davis peeked his head out from the booth.

"That's fine! Maybe you can help me out with this problem! But you can't tell anyone!" Mimi pressed her lips together.

"Oh boy, what happened?" Davis paused.

"Listen, I may have lied on my resume but now I got a job where I kinda have to prove my skills…only problem is, that skill is skateboarding, which I don't know how to do," Mimi whispered.

"Have you faked an injury lately?" Davis asked.

"Yeah, but what's gonna happen when I supposedly heal?" Mimi threw her hands up in the air.

"I don't think you have to worry about that happening any time soon. You can cross that bridge when we get there," Davis nonchalantly said.

"Urrrrghhhh! Forget it!" Mimi stomped away.

"Ooh, did you hear that?" Sora winced.

"Who didn't hear that?" Tai scoffed.

"Honestly, I love it. I honestly love the audacity. You buy the competitor's drinks and drink them in front of my kiosk. Love it," TK sarcastically said.

"Hey, there were no seats at the cafe. Besides, be grateful we're here. It'll look like you still have business with us being here," Matt shrugged.

"Not when you're drinking beverages from other places! For Pete's sake, not even Tai bought a smoothie!" TK gasped.

"I was in the mood for a Diet Coke. Excuse me if that makes me the Antichrist," Tai casually sipped at his soda.

"Forget it, I'm closing up shop. You guys can be jerks together," TK angrily slammed the kiosk gate down.

"Look, you don't know what you're missing! Just give the cafe a shot, you'll be hooked," Sora said.

"You couldn't make me if you paid me," TK narrowed his eyes.

"Are you sure? I'll pay for your drink," Matt smirked.

"That's all you've got?" TK crossed his arms.

"Fine. I'll pay for your drink and I'll give you $20 if you still hate it," Matt teasingly shook his wallet. "We got a deal?"

"Hmph…," TK grimaced.

"Hey, what do you really have to lose?" Sora shrugged.

"His dignity," Tai scoffed.

"Precisely," TK nodded.

"Come on! The worst that will happen is you got a free, delicious drink! There's literally a free $20 waiting for you, but it's a limited time offer. By the way, I'll extend this offer to you too, Tai," Matt smirked.

"Fine. You'll be out a $20 bill," Tai mocked Matt.

"You know what, count me in too. You'll be one broke man," TK put his hands on his hips.

"We'll see about that," Sora hummed to herself.

"Come on, let's go," Matt got up from his chair and slapped the tabletop.

"You must be really excited, but we're not letting you have the satisfaction," TK shrugged.

"Don't be so stubborn. You gotta try new things once in a while," Matt said.

"Yeah. I'm not afraid of trying new things. I'm just not a fan of trying out stupid things," TK stuck his tongue out.

"Hey, I like it so it can't be stupid, can it?" Sora asked.

"If all your friends jumped off a cliff, would you do it too?" Tai said in a funny tone.

"Come on, you act like we're literally forcing you to jump off a cliff. You guys are so dramatic," Matt pulled Tai into the cafe.

"Matt, are you surprised? How long have we known them?" Sora shot him a mocking look.

"You're right. Okay boys, I'll get you guys a small drink, alright? We'll take little steps," Matt pinched the air between his fingers.

"Of course he'd cheap out and get the smallest size," Tai muttered.

"Hey, if you don't like it, it would be a waste of money, right?" Matt shrugged.

"That's true," TK said.

"Hi, welcome back. What can I get for you guys?" A girl with platinum blonde curls greeted the group.

"Can I get two Grande unicorn fraps? That's it for now, thanks," Matt said.

"Okay. Coming right up. You can collect them at the pick-up area," the girl smiled.

"Thanks!" Matt grinned.

"Two Grande unicorn fraps!" another blonde girl shouted from the other end of the counter.

"That's us! This is our moment," Matt grabbed the drinks and handed them to the boys.

"Blech, I don't want it," TK immediately threw the drink in a trash bin.

"Alright. Well here's a $20 for your troubles," Matt said.

"Yeah, this drink sucks," Tai slowly sipped away at his frappuccino.

"Are you sure about that? Cause it's halfway done," Sora poked at the cup.

"Yeah, I'm just finishing it to be polite," Tai said.

"No, nice try! You got them crack eyes!" Matt gasped.

"You kinda do…I'm a little concerned," Sora frowned.

"I'm totally fine. Seriously," Tai slurped the rest of his drink and tossed it in the trash.

"Yeah, I'm not giving you any money. You lost," Matt shook his head.

"I think you're just being cheap. I told you I didn't like it, now pay up," Tai poked the palm of his hand with his index finger.

"Fine, if you insist. I'll pay the $20, it's worth it to shut you up," Matt pulled out another bill and handed it to Tai.

"And you believe me, right?" Tai raised an eyebrow.

"I paid you already, isn't that enough?" Matt smirked. "Anyways I should probably head back to work, I'll see you guys later."

"Yeah. I'll catch up to you guys. I think I'll use the little girls room here first, you know…cause it's close," Tai nervously paused.

"Whatever floats your boat. Bye," Sora shrugged.

"See ya," Tai lingered by the trash bin and waited for everyone to leave. Once the coast was clear, he stuck his hand in the trash bin and pulled out TK's discarded drink.

"What are you doing?" Kari looked at Tai in disgust.

"I dropped something?" Tai nervously chuckled.

"No, please don't drink that. I'll just make you a fresh one. Just please don't drink anything from the trash," Kari winced.

"Okay, I won't," Tai nodded.

"Unicorn frap coming up," Kari sighed.

"Thanks, you're the best," Tai sheepishly said. When Kari disappeared, Tai sneakily gulped down the frappuccino until it was empty.

"Ahh, nothing screams fall like the combination of a pumpkin spice latte, flannel, and yoga pants…or in Izzy's case, grey sweatpants," Matt leaned back in his chair.

"What? I'm technically not breaking dress code. I still have a pink shirt on, but maybe if I wore something looser on the bottom, people would stop looking at me," Izzy slumped down in a chair.

"But why grey sweatpants? You're bringing more attention to yourself," TK smirked.

"I was hearing a rumor about you at work. I thought I heard them saying you were a huge dick, but I clearly misheard…no wonder a lot of my coworkers have been taking mini breaks to your store lately," Sora narrowed her eyes.

"Speaking of, Tai's coworkers stopped by the other day too and Miki was red the entire time. Yeah, the mean one! You don't think she was…you know?" Izzy awkwardly made a face.

"Yeah. Those girls were scoping you out big time," Matt grinned.

"I'm kinda curious…is it true what they all say?" Sora raised an eyebrow.

"What? Like you want me to show you or something?" Izzy sarcastically said.

"I showed you guys my boobs! It's the least you could do," Sora crossed her arms.

"For the record, I never asked you to do that!" Izzy turned red.

"But it would even the playing field," TK nodded.

"No!" Izzy protested.

"Come on, I'll show you mine if you show us yours. That way you won't do it alone," Matt shrugged.

"Why would I want to see yours?" Izzy looked disgusted.

"I thought we were all friends! Come on, it can just be between us here. I won't tell anyone, I just wanna know. And you all saw my boobs," Sora said.

"Fine…TK, can we stand behind your booth?" Izzy timidly asked.

"Sure thing," TK opened the side gate door. "Enter, my friends."

"Okay. I'll show you guys, but after this, don't ask me again. Got it?" Izzy turned his head away.

"Whoa…," Sora gasped.

"I think my turtle went back in its shell. Is that even possible?" Matt grimaced.

"Oooh…wow."

"Mimi!" everyone gasped.

"What are you doing here?!" Izzy frantically adjusted himself.

"I could ask you guys the same thing. Wow," Mimi mischievously smiled.

"Everyone happy now?" Izzy washed his hands in the sink.

*vroooom*

"Uh oh…I don't think everyone's happy," TK whispered.

"I gotta go, I'll be late for something. Bye," Mimi sat down on her skateboard and pushed herself away.

"I'm sorry, but I have to write you a citation for indecent exposure," Joe scribbled on a notepad and handed it to Izzy.

"What?! You saw that?!" Izzy turned red.

"You're wearing grey sweatpants and it's quite uncomfortable seeing that. There's no reason for anyone to be that big. Find more appropriate attire by the end of day, or pay the fine. And you," Joe turned to TK, "I have to write you a health code violation for having non-employees behind your kiosk. I'll have a health code inspector coming in the next couple of days to check up on you and if everything is okay, your violation will be lifted. You guys are an odd bunch. Good day."

"Ugh, what a weirdo…," Matt rolled his eyes as he watched Joe roll away on his scooter.

"He's the weirdo, not my group of friends who forced me to expose myself in front of them," Izzy muttered.

*buzz buzz*

"Whoa!" Davis dropped his phone in shock.

"Oooh, what's th- oh, send that to me," Mimi casually said.

"What?! Are you serious? That's terrifying! That can't be real!" Davis gasped.

"It is! I saw it in person," Mimi smiled.

"You're scary. Send it to yourself and then delete it from my phone. I don't need my parents asking questions," Davis shook his head.

"TK sent this to you?" Mimi smirked.

"I don't know why he thinks I needed to be in the loop. So, we gonna skate or what?" Davis asked.

"Sure! Teach me!" Mimi excitedly held up her skateboard.

"Alright, so where should we start? You see this long board part, that's called the deck. And these little wheels that spin around? See? Those are just called wheels," Davis flicked the wheels of the skateboard.

"Davis, I know what wheels are! Teach me how to skate for real!" Mimi snatched the skateboard from Davis.

"Okay, okay! So, you got all your gear? Helmet, pads, check?" Davis patted his body.

"Yes," Mimi impatiently said.

"Awesome! Hey, it's important! Now, we're gonna practice how to actually stand on the board, so that you get the hang of how you should position yourself. It's all about balance. We gotta start with the basics," Davis hopped on his skateboard. "See? It looks easy, but you try!"

"I'm shaking!" Mimi trembled.

"I'm right behind you. I won't let you fall, but you gotta hold your own," Davis walked up and supported Mimi.

"This is so hard," Mimi whined.

"It's okay, you just gotta take it easy! You need to be at a relaxed state of mind. Actually, you know what we should do?" Davis pulled a small sandwich bag out of his pocket.

"Davis, what is that?!" Mimi gasped.

"Come on, it will help you out!" Davis winked.

"I can't believe you would have that. Where did you get it?" Mimi said in awe.

"I know a girl," Davis coyly smiled.

"Is it Rina?" Mimi grinned.

"I cannot confirm nor deny. But come on, it's not technically illegal," Davis sloppily rolled up a cigarette.

"Hmm…," Mimi tapped her chin.

*vrrrroooom*

"Oh crap, oh crap!" Davis frantically stomped the cigarette out and shoved the bag in his pants.

"Hey! Who's there? This is a no trespassing zone!"

"What are we gonna do?" Mimi froze.

"Come on, we're skating away! Now!" Davis hopped on his skateboard.

"But I don't know how to skate," Mimi whined.

"You're gonna learn real fast! Hold on!" Davis eased Mimi to her skateboard and then stepped on with her.

"Davis!" Mimi wailed.

"Hi, welcome to Cafe Europa, what can I get you?" a girl with platinum blonde curls and light blue eyes smiled at Tai.

"Hey…can I get an Enorme unicorn frappe with extra glitter and an extra strawberry wafer? Also, would you mind putting it in a plain coffee cup? Thank you," Tai whispered.

"I can add the extras, but unfortunately I don't recommend putting it in a plain paper cup. The paper cups don't hold frozen drinks as well, so they'll fall apart in 30 minutes. However, if you don't want people to see you're drinking a girly drink, we do sell tumblers and you get a discount every time you bring it to us already cleaned," the girl said.

"Oh, I'll do that then. I'll get the tumbler," Tai said.

"Okay. I'll put your drink in the tumbler for you. Don't forget to bring it in every time for your little discount," the girl smiled.

"Trust me, I will," Tai nodded. "By the way, what is your name? You're really nice."

"I'm Catherine. I already know your name is Tai. I have to say it's been an interesting experience," the girl smiled.

"How do you know my name?" Tai gasped.

"Because we all know your order," Kari waved mischievously.

"Hi, I'm Zoe," the other blonde girl from the previous day smiled.

"Thanks ladies," Tai turned red.

"Our pleasure!" the girls said in unison.

"He's so funny, I think he's kinda cute," Catherine giggled.

"That's because you don't really know him," Kari scoffed.

"Oh, is he your friend?" Catherine raised an eyebrow.

"Depends on my mood. But no, he's my brother. I tolerate him at best," Kari smiled as she poured steamed milk over some coffee.

"I think I'd like to get to know him a little better. Does he work at the mall?" Catherine asked.

"Yeah, he works at the makeup store," Kari shrugged.

"Interesting. Thank you," Catherine grabbed the coffee from Kari's hands and walked away.

"Hi, excuse me…," a boy at the counter cleared his throat. He was dressed in a grungy outfit and he had shaggy dark blue hair.

"Hi, how can I help you?" Kari asked.

"Can I get the orangeade refresher with the green tea caffeine shot?" the boy asked.

"Enorme?" Kari asked.

"Yes please," the boy shyly smiled at her with his bright blue eyes.

"You know, I think I see you here at least twice a shift, and you order the same thing every time. Isn't that a lot of orangeade?" Kari asked.

"It's good. Have you tried it?" the boy asked.

"No, not yet. I'm still hooked on the unicorn frap," Kari said.

"You should give the orangeade a shot. You might like it," the boy timidly said.

"Maybe I will," Kari tapped her chin.

"Do you also do deliveries?" the boy asked.

"No, I'm not doing those," Kari's face shook her head.

"Damn, that's a bummer. I work at Southport, it would be nice to have a bright smile like yours walk in once in a while. By the way, my name is Kouichi," the boy awkwardly looked down at the counter.

"Oh, my name is Kari…well here's your drink," Kari turned red.

"See you around," Kouichi timidly smiled and walked away.

"Oooh, did that skater boy just hit on you?" Catherine smirked.

"Maybe?" Kari blushed.

"He's kinda cute. What do you think?" Zoe pursed her lips.

"He's a bit different, I don't know," Kari hummed.

"Whoa, what happened to your arm?" Matt tapped the bruises on Mimi's arm.

"I went skateboarding," Mimi shot Davis a dirty look.

"What? It's not my fault you don't know how to skate!" Davis protested.

"I totally know how to skate! You pushed me off a skateboard!" Mimi whined.

"I dunno, it sounds like someone's making up excuses and blaming other people for their shortcomings," Matt shrugged.

"But on the bright side, you won't have to worry about showing off your skateboarding tricks for a while," Sora shrugged.

"Stop it! You're all being mean!" Mimi stomped her feet under the table.

*vrrrroooom*

"Oh god, what does he want?" Davis stuck his tongue out.

"Ahem, I'm glad I found the two of you," Joe rolled up to Davis and Mimi.

"Why?" Mimi cringed.

"You know why. I'm sorry, but I have to write you up a citation for trespassing on unauthorized access zones. I would write up another one for drug use on mall property, but I'll let this one slide," Joe frantically scribbled on a notepad.

"Whoa! How did you even know it was us there? Do you even have proof?" Mimi gasped.

"You dropped a couple of items," Joe placed a name tag, wallet, and a purse on the table.

"Davis…," Mimi growled.

"Heh, I was looking for these. Thanks," Davis bashfully laughed.

"Oh, and you can have this back. You might want it to spice up bland pizza slices," Joe tossed a baggie on the table.

"Huh?" Davis grabbed his small baggie.

"Yeah. Oregano," Joe nodded. "Anyways you can pay at the mall office with card or cash. You really shouldn't have a problem, it looks like you have enough money. Have a good day," Joe rolled away.

"Can you believe that?" Davis shoved the tickets in his wallet.

"Actually I can. Were the two of you seriously trying to smoke oregano?" Sora smirked.

"No…," Davis and Mimi blushed.

"Sounds like someone got ripped off. You should probably talk to whoever you bought the dud bud from," Matt snorted.

"For the record, I did not smoke any of it!" Mimi haughtily said.

"Congratulations, so your lungs don't resemble the inside of an abandoned Pizza Hut," Izzy retorted.

"Shut the hell up! It was an honest mistake anyone could have made," Davis crossed his arms.

"How? Wouldn't the pizza smell give it away?" Sora made a face.

"Ahh, this almost feels like normal. I'm still not getting as much business as usual, but maybe things will even out soon," TK shrugged.

"Speaking of, I want to grab a cup of coffee before I get back to work," Izzy yawned.

"Hey, why you leaving? I just got here," Tai asked.

"My friend, what's with that cup? Whatcha drinking?" TK crossed his arms.

"Nothing!" Tai defensively shouted.

"Are you sure? Cause it looks like those Cafe Europa tumblers by the cash register," Mimi tapped her chin.

"Shut up, they're nice cups. They keep your Diet Coke cold for the whole day," Tai gritted his teeth.

"You're drinking a unicorn frap, aren't you?" Matt smirked.

"No," Tai pursed his lips.

"Your mouth is blue," Davis laughed.

"And your teeth are covered in glitter," Sora circled her finger around her teeth.

"Shut up, it's a damn good drink, okay?!" Tai pouted.

"That unicorn frap? It's dope," Takuya nodded. "So, where's Mimi?"

"I'm over here…what's up?" Mimi grimaced.

"So, I got some bad news…I gotta let you go. You see, it seems like you're a bit accident prone and honestly we need someone who can skate around the half-pipe a bit when it gets slow at work, ya know? Also, you're kinda boring so…sorry," Takuya awkwardly rubbed the back of his head.

"What? Me boring?" Mimi exclaimed.

"Yeah. It almost seems like you don't have anything in common with anyone in the store. Like maybe you'd be better off working at some girly place. You know, someplace with makeup or pink crap," Takuya made a face.

"No, no she wouldn't!" Tai and Izzy said in unison.

"I'm totally not boring! Just so you know, I was totally blazing the other day. Some premium kush and whatnot, so how's that for boring?" Mimi smirked.

"Ooh, I wish I didn't hear that. We've got a drug-free policy, so yeah…you should be fired anyways. Sorry, I'm gonna need your badge back," Takuya winced.

"Fine, take it! I didn't know how to skateboard anyways," Mimi scoffed.

"I kinda figured. Good luck on your next job though. Bye," Takuya grabbed the badge and walked away.

"Yikes, I think that was probably the most awkward firing I've seen yet," Matt grimaced.

"This almost feels like normal," TK sighed.
