A Little Less Sixteen Candles, A Little More "Responsibility"
"TK, are you okay?" Kari asked.
"No…they're closing my smoothie shop. They were expecting a surprise inspection the other day, which I guess Mimi was supposed to do, but you could see how that turned out. Anyways, the franchise manager decided it's not worth waiting around for the next one, considering this location hasn't been profitable since the cafe opened up. This is my last week," TK sighed.
"I'm sorry to hear that," Sora frowned.
"I don't even know what to think, I'm frustrated. I'm mad, because you guys don't buy the smoothies, and I'm mad because Mimi didn't even inspect my kiosk! If she did that, at least maybe I wouldn't be out of a job!" TK took off his large fruit hat and tossed it in the floor.
"Calm down, it's okay! We'll find you another job soon!" Kari ran up to him.
"Hey, I'm really starting to think that maybe Mimi's bad news," Davis chewed on ice.
"You don't believe that, do you?" Sora asked.
"I personally don't care for her. I just tolerate her for your sake," Kari shrugged.
"Same," Matt nodded.
"I honestly wish I never met her if I were to be completely truthful. She's brought more trouble than anything," Izzy said.
"Come to think of it, he's right…she has brought more of a chaotic energy since she's joined the group," Tai tapped his chin.
"That's really harsh. You guys can't mean that," Sora sighed.
"Think about it. What good things has she contributed to the group?" Tai tapped on the tabletop.
"Doesn't it also say something that she hold a job down for more than a couple of days?" Izzy asked.
"Come on, she's new to town. She's probably having a hard time adjusting," Sora said.
"My coworkers are military kids and they seem to do okay. They're pretty much outsiders and they don't destroy people's relationships," Davis scoffed.
"Yeah, and my coworkers are exchange students and they don't bother anyone. I think Mimi's just too immature and selfish to hang around the general population," Kari crossed her arms.
"Sora, maybe it's time to face the music and cut the cord before we get too attached. I think everyone else is right," Matt squeezed Sora's shoulder.
"Hi guys, how's it going?" Mimi happily skipped over to the gang.
"Hey honey, I think we need to talk!" Tai wrapped his arm around Mimi.
"Oh, about what?" Mimi's eyes widened.
"You see…me and the gang think that-hey! Where did everyone go?!" Tai turned around to see everyone had disappeared.
"What's going on?" Mimi looked concerned.
"Listen, you might wanna take a seat cause I have some bad news," Tai pulled a chair out.
"Okay…," Mimi sat down.
"Alright. So we had a little small talk amongst ourselves and we decided that maybe it's best that we…stop being friends with you," Tai winced.
"What? Why?" Mimi gasped.
"You see…ever since you came along, you've made everyone's lives more interesting and they're all kind of mad at you. I think it's best that we have some space," Tai bit his lip.
"But what did I do?" Mimi whined.
"You were the reason TK lost his job. This smoothie stand will be gone by the end of the week, and you know why? Because you didn't do your last job correctly. Your actions can affect other people," Tai nodded sternly.
"I'm sorry! I didn't know that was gonna happen!" Mimi blubbered.
"I would say you should tell him yourself, but he's pretty upset. And don't forget to mention, Davis is still mad about Rina," Tai said.
"What am I supposed to do about that? I can't fix that! Also, Rina's kinda scary…," Mimi frowned.
"I dunno. But I guess if you can prove to everyone you can be a better friend, maybe they'll want to talk to you again," Tai shrugged.
"But how do I prove that?" Mimi gasped.
"I can't tell you how! You'll have to figure that out on your own," Tai tapped Mimi on the forehead and walked away.
"Hmph, this sucks," Mimi pouted.
"Hey Marcus! I have a question for you!" Matt awkwardly wrung his hands.
"Shoot," Marcus took a bite from a donut.
"I was wondering if there's a possibility that you have another job opening? My brother just lost his-"
"Sorry man, no can do! I wish you asked me earlier!" Marcus wiped his hands on his jeans.
"What? Why not?" Matt gasped.
"Matt, meet our new recruit, Daigo!" Marcus introduced him to a young man with disheveled dark hair.
"Hi, nice to meet you. I'm Daigo," the man smiled.
"When did this happen? And no offense, aren't you a bit too old to be working at the mall?" Matt scoffed.
"Matthew!" Marcus gasped.
"I'm not offended. I'm just here as a side gig," Daigo smiled.
"He'll mostly be here during the hours you'll be in school, but he's great! He's a DJ and he knows a wide variety of music. It's perfect," Marcus stuck his thumb up.
"You've got to be kidding me," Matt gasped.
"I know, it's unreal! Now all you have to do is focus on the Christian and Gospel, he'll take care of everything- including country!" Marcus said.
"Are you sure? I can help with Billboard Hits, or Rock?" Matt shrugged his shoulders.
"If you want to take up more sections, there's always Soundtracks or Global," Marcus said.
"I'll take Global. I'm not doing Soundtracks again…ugh," Matt huffed.
"Come on, D! Let me show you around the store! I'm pretty sure you're familiar with all of these genres, but it's nice to get acquainted with the floor plan!" Marcus walked away with Daigo.
"This is unbelievable. Unbee-freaking-leevable," Matt hit himself in the face with a CD.

"What's that?" Kari pointed at a computer monitor.
"Great news, we started doing mobile orders now! Cafe Europa has a phone app where people can check out the closest store locations and order ahead of time. It doubles as a reward system, so the more you order, the more free stuff you get. Anything from a Grande coffee to a free tumbler," Zoe forced a smile.
"We have to check the mobile orders every three minutes, to make sure that they don't get backed up," Catherine feverishly tapped away at the monitor.
"If that's not exciting enough, today's the first day of the Roll Up the Rim sweepstakes!" Zoe huffed.
"Roll the what?" Kari gasped.
"Roll up the rim. It's on any hot drink you order, you get a 1-in-6 chance to win an instant prize. You roll up the rim and enter the code into the Cafe Europa app onto your phone and it'll tell you if you're an instant winner or not. Even if you don't win, each entry code will count as a raffle ticket for the grand sweepstakes at the end," Zoe ripped apart her coffee cup.
"Unfortunately, our accounts have been blocked so we're not able to play because we're employees," Catherine sighed.
"That's garbage," Kari frowned.
"So along with the mobile orders, we have even more people coming in hoping they'll win something, whether it's a free coffee or the new Tesla," Zoe sighed.
"Great. We've got the line of people here, and a virtual line at the mobile pickup. How are we going to keep up with this?" Kari gasped.
"We hired a new girl, but she's running late…we could have cranked out an extra 10 drinks," Zoe checked her watch.
"Oh no, who did you hire?" Kari grunted as assembled drinks.
"Hey guys, sorry I'm late. I just-"
"No! Absolutely not! You're fired!" Kari yelled.
"But I didn't even clock in yet!" Mimi protested.
"Kari, what are you doing? We need the extra help now," Catherine gasped.
"Trust me, it's for your own good," Kari gritted her teeth.
"I'm sorry, but we have to let you go," Catherine frowned.
"Wow! You just fired me because I pissed you off, didn't I?" Mimi gasped.
"No, I fired you because you showed up late on your first day. Now go before I make you go," Kari held up a coffee pot.
"Ahhh, I'm leaving! You're insane!" Mimi screamed and ran away.
"I think you might be crazy…are you okay?" Catherine gently took the coffee pot from Kari's hand.
"I'm pretty sure throwing hot coffee on someone might count as assault, but I could be wrong," Zoe frowned.
"I was going to pour it in a cup…but she's not worth the time, trust me," Kari huffed.
"Tai, I think you have a problem…," Megumi winced.
"No I don't! Now where did you put your cups?" Tai dug through the trash.
"Please, let me get that for you. You're really making yourself look so sad," Miki reached into the trash bin and fished out two empty coffee cups.
"Thank you!" Tai ripped the edge of the coffee cups and rolled up the rims. He pulled out his phone and began tapping away at the screen. "Crap, both duds!"
"Are you actually playing that sweepstakes game?" Miki looked at him incredulously.
"Why?" Tai held his phone to his chest.
"You know they only do those sweepstakes games to get more customers into the stores and buy more things. How many cups of coffee have you bought already?" Miki smirked.
"Uh…enough for you to not be concerned. I finally came to terms with the fact that I go there every day," Tai nodded.
"Yeah, but you normally get your pretty blue drink, and you get it in your tumbler," Megumi shook an empty black tumbler.
"So you're forgoing your both your favorite drink and your little discount for the chance of the sweepstakes?" Miki smirked.
"Just so you know, thanks to this sweepstakes, I learned to appreciate a good pumpkin spice latte! I don't know what I had been missing out on!" Tai smirked.
"Yeah, we can clearly see that. You're getting a bit of a tummy. It's cute," Megumi poked him in the gut.
"No!" Tai gasped.
"That's not the only place. You better be careful. Those drinks can creep up on you. That's why I only drink Diet Coke and black coffee," Miki pinched the skin under Tai's chin and walked away.
"Oh my god, I'm fat…," Tai looked at himself in the mirror in shock.
"No honey, you're getting fat," Megumi corrected him.
"You're not helping," Tai shot her a dirty look.
"Aww Davis, I appreciate that you saved us, but I'm sorry how it happened. Do you want us to talk to Rina for you?" Barbie Q asked.
"No, she doesn't believe it. She's really mad, and she's upset because all I do is 'hang out with girls'," Davis sighed.
"Maybe it's better that you guys are over. It sounds like she has jealousy issues she needs to work over. I would have never pegged her as that type, she seems so confident…almost to the point of being cocky. Doesn't that get exhausting?" Suzie Q crossed her arms.
"Now that I think about it, I don't think I've seen you guys hang out much in a while," Barbie Q hummed.
"We hung out a lot after the dance and then…I guess we both got busy. In a way, I guess I was spending more time with Mimi than I was with Rina, but she can't be pissed about that, right? It's not like she was coming out of her way to see me either," Davis frowned.
"Davis, maybe you're too immature to be in a relationship. It's a two-way street honey," Suzie Q ruffled his hair.
"So I messed up real big time, huh?" Davis winced.
"There's nothing wrong with prioritizing your friends, but if you want to have a girlfriend, you have to fit that in your schedule too. You have to spend quality time with her," Barbie Q shook her head.
"How do I fit that in? I have school, friends, work, sports, and home…where would I even fit that?" Davis frowned.
"We can't tell you how to organize your life, but we're just saying that if you want to have something, you need to spend time on it. Other people have figured it out," Suzie Q said.
"I think maybe I should carry a planner, like what my mom has! Yeah, and then I can plan my life around, like doctor's appointments and trips to the bank!" Davis said.
"Uh…I guess that's a start. It will get you to be more organized at the least?" Barbie Q awkwardly shrugged.
"I'll be back! I'm gonna go shop around. You guys want me to pick up anything while I'm on break?" Davis asked.
"No, we're good!" Suzie Q shook her head.
"Okay, I'll see you soon!" Davis walked away from the food court and scanned through all the storefronts. He walked into Izzy's store and shuffled through the stationery items.
"Davis, what are you doing here? Is everything okay?" Izzy asked.
"I have come to buy a planner so I can win Rina back," Davis held up a Hello Kitty pocket calendar.
"Sure…I don't know exactly how that is going to achieve your masterplan, but best of luck to you. Anything to keep both of you out of the market," Izzy scanned the planner with his price gun.
"And I'll take a couple of these too!" Davis grabbed some pens from the front of the counter.
"They're all the same color ink," Izzy put his hands on his hips.
"Oh, then one is enough…," Davis sheepishly put the pens away.
"Sora, can you tell me why everyone's so mad at me?" Mimi whined.
"Mimi, I care for you a lot, but if you don't understand, maybe you need to do some deeper self-reflecting," Sora sighed.
"I mean, I get what happened, but I fail to see how that's any of my fault! I didn't do anything wrong! In fact, I was supposed to work at the cafe with Kari, and she fired me on the spot. Like that!" Mimi snapped her fingers.
"Really?" Sora gasped.
"Yeah, I didn't even get a chance to clock in. She just yelled at me that I was fired. I'm kinda too ashamed to go back to the coffee shop for a while, and it sucks because I can't go to the smoothie stand either," Mimi bit her lip.
"Is there a possibility that you might have done something to upset her?" Sora asked.
"Ummm….nothing I can think of," Mimi paused.
"Come on, Mimi. There has to be a reason why she fired you before you even started. She's a rational person," Sora put her hands on her hips.
"So I may or may have not been a couple of minutes late…," Mimi twirled her hair.
"Mimi, are you serious? How inconsiderate are you?" Sora gasped.
"But it wasn't my fault! I was trying to clean my face off because you guys made me cry when Tai told me you didn't want to be my friends anymore," Mimi sniffled.
"I think I see the problem now…Mimi, I like you a lot, but I think the rest of the gang is frustrated with you because you don't take accountability for your actions. Nothing's ever your fault!" Sora huffed.
"See, finally someone understands me!" Mimi sighed.
"No Mimi, you don't get it. You're what? Sixteen? Start acting more responsible. Don't you want your parents to start treating you more like an adult? How's that credit card payment going by the way?" Sora asked.
"It would help if I didn't get fired all the time. Or have to buy new clothes. Or pay for a stupid ticket that the stupid security guard gave me," Mimi sighed.
"Mimi, I care about you, but I think everyone's right. You should probably go now. I have things to rearrange so I'll be busy," Sora pushed a rack of hoodies in front of her.
"Fine! Be that way! I'll be by myself!" Mimi stomped out of the store.
"So I've come across a bit of a dilemma, my lovely baby sister. As you may have noticed, I got a little…fat," Tai whispered.
"Actually, I didn't notice until you pointed that out. You are looking a bit rounder than usual," Kari frowned.
"Shut up! I can't especially have Catherine see me looking like this! That's humiliating!" Tai hissed.
"Tai, you wear makeup and heels to work, and you gaining five pounds is what's humiliating? You can easily lose that with exercise and better food choices," Kari grimaced.
"Yeah, but I still want to keep coming here! So how can I do that without gaining weight?" Tai whined.
"Uh…you could always get a black coffee?" Kari shrugged.
"No! Be serious!" Tai stomped his foot.
"I was being serious!" Kari said. "I don't know of anything that's low calorie and delicious, that doesn't make sense!"
"All of our teas are a tasty option, hot or iced!" Zoe said.
"There you have it! Tea," Kari put her hands on her hips.
"My personal favorite is the strawberry lemongrass tea, but the lavender blueberry is a close second. And they're both good without sweetener," Zoe said.
"Great! I'll take one of each!" Tai exclaimed.
"Grande? Just to be on the safe side?" Kari asked.
"Yes please," Tai sheepishly said.
"Coming up," Kari sighed.
"By the way, tell Catherine I said hi. I'd tell her myself, but I'm kinda…fat," Tai whispered.
"Hello Tai. It's always nice to have you stop by," Catherine handed him his two teas.
"Hi…I'm sorry," Tai turned red.
"Sorry for what? Holding up the line? Why don't you get back to work and then text me so we can talk about plans for later? How does that sound?" Catherine smiled.
"Yeah…okay. Bye," Tai dumbly nodded.
"He's cute," Catherine shrugged.
"He's all yours," Zoe scoffed.
"By all means, please take him. I could use a break," Kari giggled.
"Speaking of, we could all use a break. Do any of you know of someone who could help out here? We'll literally hire anyone at this point," Zoe sighed.
"Oh shoot, I think I know the perfect person!" Kari pulled out her phone.
"Hey, Matthew…this is soooo awkward but I hate to do this," Marcus bit his lip.
"What?" Matt straightened his back.
"You see…Daigo is really effective at his job. Like he knows everything about music! And he has a really open availability!" Marcus started off.
"Yeah, probably because he's a 36-year-old college student," Matt crossed his arms.
"College grad!" Daigo corrected him.
"Why are you here? Can't you get a grown-up job?" Matt huffed.
"Matt, that's really not any way to speak to anyone, especially someone who's actually good at he's doing. Which brings me to my next point…the store is going through some new business model changes, and they thought it was best if you weren't part of that," Marcus said.
"Are you firing me right now?" Matt gasped.
"I'm not firing you, I'm just letting you go," Marcus winced.
"Why?" Matt gasped.
"You're kinda lame…and a mood killer. And your availability isn't the best. I know you legally have to go to school and whatever, so yeah. It's just best to have people who are already high school graduates at least," Marcus said.
"What the- are you serious?" Matt clutched his chest.
"Dude, what can I say? You're not compatible with the store's mission and values. Sorry," Marcus shrugged.
"Just wow," Matt handed Marcus his badge and stormed off.
"Hey Davis, you want a smoothie?" TK asked.
"Nah, I'm fine. I'm trying to plan out my life right now," Davis plopped down on a chair.
"You sure? It's on the house. All this fruit is gonna go to waste regardless. Might as well make all the smoothies I want before we shut down for good," TK sliced up some fruit.
"Okay, if you're gonna make one already," Davis shrugged.
"On it," TK sighed as he blended the fruit. "So how's everything with you otherwise?"
"Ugh, horrible! I don't think I can fit Rina into my schedule…no wonder she's mad at me," Davis scribbled on his planner.
"What do you mean?" TK asked.
"I was talking to the girls at work about my breakup and they think that I need to spend more time with Rina, and they're right. But I'm trying to draw up my schedule and I realize I don't have a lot of free time. Look, I obviously can't skip school, sports, or work…and I kinda have a curfew so I can't be up all night. So I'm not left with a lot of free time. And to be honest, I think I'd rather spend my free time hanging out with you guys. Maybe the girls are right, I'm too immature for a girlfriend. Ugh…," Davis groaned.
"Or maybe she's just not the right girl. Because when you find the right girl, wouldn't you want to spend all your time with her? Kinda like how you used to cling to Kari all the time?" TK smirked.
"You're right. I kinda miss that feeling…like excited to be in love. I don't get that with Rina. Like she's cool, but I never got those chills…," Davis tapped his pen against his lips.
"Oh god, I hope I didn't send you into a relapse," TK winced.
"Nah, I don't think it's meant for us. She likes someone else, and I thought I liked Rina, but now I don't know," Davis shrugged.
*buzz buzz buzz*
"I'm sorry, I'm just checking a…no! Absolutely not!" TK pressed his lips together.
"What?" Davis picked up his head.
"Freaking Kari just texted me if I could work with her at her stupid cafe job! Like I want to serve pretentious drinks to pretentious people," TK crossed his arms.
"I dunno. Sounds like a better option than serving pretend drinks to pretend people. You're not gonna have a job for much longer," Davis shook his hand.
"Why do you have to be right?" TK tapped his fingers against the countertop.
"I was just pointing out the obvious," Davis scratched his head with his pen.
"Fine, if I do work there, who's gonna work here?" TK crossed his arms.
"Hmm…I think I can squeeze that in. I can babysit the booth while I work. Besides, it's not like anyone's gonna order a smoothie soon," Davis said.
"Fine. I'll let Kari know I accept the job," TK groaned.
"Good boy! You won't regret it," Davis stuck his thumb in the air.
"Yeah, I don't think so…," TK took off his apron and walked away.
"Good luck!" Davis yelled.
"Ughhhh….!"
"Izzy…can you do something about that? She's been making that unpleasant noise for the last half-hour and I'm kinda too scared to talk to her," Angie tugged Izzy by the sleeve of his shirt.
"Seriously? I just got back from a coffee break," Izzy rubbed his temples.
"I'm sorry, but I'm used to working with children. Not adults who act like children," Angie winced.
"If you plan to work in retail, that's something you'll have to learn how to deal with. I'll take care of this," Izzy chugged the last of his coffee and tossed the empty cup on the floor in frustration.
"The trash can is-"
"I know where it is, I'll come back for it later," Izzy gruffly said.
"It's fine, I got it," Angie frowned as she picked up the cup.
"Hi, excuse me Miss…is there anything we can-"
"Izzy! Why is everyone being so mean to me lately? Even Sora was being mean!" Mimi wrapped her arms around Izzy tightly.
"Whoa, let go of me, you crazy person!" Izzy squirmed.
"Do you need me to call security?" Angie picked up the store phone.
"Oh great, the sexual harasser strikes again!" Yolei walked into the store, with Rina in tow.
"What?!" Mimi immediately let go of Izzy.
"You can't keep your hands off anyone, can you?" Rina scoffed.
"Hey, your boyfriend kissed me, not the other way around," Mimi put her hands on her hips.
"Oh boy…I think maybe I should call security," Angie whimpered.
"That's not necessary. You win. You're the kind of girl who just take, take, takes, that's all you do, huh?" Rina pinched the air with her fingers frantically.
"Izzy, is that what you think too?" Mimi started to tremble.
"I think we're having a slight misunderstanding right-"
"Why don't you just drop dead? Leave me alone," Mimi shoved him out of the way and stormed out.
"How is she going to tell you to leave her alone when she was the one who came here first?" Angie looked confused.
"It's Mimi logic for you…ugh, times like this really makes me I wish I never met her," Izzy took in a deep breath.
"Don't you mean all the time?" Rina scoffed.
"You know, I say that about a lot of people," Izzy shot her a dirty look. "I'll be freaking back…."
"I believe that's an example of Stockholm Syndrome, where the victim goes back to the abuser or something like that. Whatever, I've been skimming through my brother's college textbooks in my free time," Yolei shrugged.
"Mimi, wait up!" Izzy chased after her.
"What? You're gonna tell me how much more you agree with Rina?" Mimi crossed her arms.
"Can you fault her for being upset at you? It doesn't matter who was the initiator, all she saw was that her boyfriend was kissing some other girl. Wouldn't you be mad if that happened to you?" Izzy huffed.
"I guess I'd be mad too," Mimi pouted.
"This is the point that I think everyone is unsuccessfully trying to get across to you, but you're not getting it. You have to think about the choices you make because they can really hurt other people. Imagine if someone treated you the same way that you treat us, you wouldn't be happy at all. Look, I don't blame you for being you, but you can't blame me for hating it," Izzy crossed his arms.
"Oh…so you hate me," Mimi nodded aggressively.
"I don't hate you, I just hate the things you do. You literally told me to drop dead like two minutes ago, do you expect me to find that endearing?" Izzy looked at her incredulously.
"I guess you're right," Mimi sheepishly looked down on the ground.
"Sometimes Mimi, you don't think. You just act. Remember, you're not the only one in the group," Izzy said.
"I get it, but now what do I do? As you probably can guess by now, I'm not good with having friends, so it was really nice when you guys took me in. I didn't really have friends before meeting all of you. I thought I'd spend another year without friends," Mimi fiddled with the hem of her skirt.
"So you didn't grow up with any friends?" Izzy asked.
"No. My family's always moving. Heck, who knows if I end up moving by the end of this year too? I never bothered to make friends because everyone thought I was a crybaby, and it didn't matter if I had to move in a year or two, what have you," Mimi shrugged.
"I'm sorry. I didn't know that you had to go through that. We moved apartments once, and it was only across town. I don't like change, so that took a while for me to adjust too. I can't imagine anything you've gone through," Izzy nodded.
"I've lived in the States for a couple of years too. How's that for crazy?" Mimi raised her eyebrows.
"You're kidding. Why does your family move around so much?" Izzy asked.
"My dad's involved in software technology blah blah, I dunno…some computer boring nonsense. It's whatever, but that's my life. Now you kinda have a picture of why I'm a friendless freak," Mimi kicked her legs in the air.
"Freak? Yes. Friendless, I think we can fix that for the low, low price of an Enorme black coffee," Izzy leaned his arm on Mimi's shoulder.
"What?!" Mimi gasped.
"You killed my nice little caffeine buzz, the least you could do is compensate me for it," Izzy gave her a stern look.
"Fine, but I'm paying through the app. You can pick it up, but it will be in my name," Mimi typed away at her phone.
"Thank you," Izzy lightly tapped his fist against her arm.
"I wonder why Izzy texted us to meet him here," Matt frowned.
"Can you believe that in a couple of days, we won't have this hangout anymore?" Tai sighed.
"Don't be so melodramatic, I'm pretty sure they'll keep the tables here at least," Sora sipped at her unicorn frap.
"Maybe they'll just change this into something new," Davis knocked his fist against the smoothie stand.
"Here you go guys, I call this one the Molly Ringwald," TK handed out smoothies to everyone.
"Oooh, what's in it?" Kari smiled.
"Strawberries, apples, bananas," TK said.
"Man, maybe if you were in charge of the menu, more people would come and get smoothies," Matt slurped at his drink.
"I dunno. That cafe seems to be really popular, I don't think even my creations would do anything," TK shrugged.
"Hey guys, thanks for meeting up with me," Izzy said, with Mimi behind him.
"Gah! What's the she-devil doing here?!" Matt put his index fingers in a cross.
"Matt!" Sora punched him in the arm.
"He's right. What is she doing here?" Davis clutched his chest.
"She has something to tell you. Go ahead," Izzy looked at Mimi.
"Okay guys, this is really hard for me to say but…I'm sorry," Mimi grabbed Izzy's arm.
"That's a new one," Kari pursed her lips.
"No! I mean it! I'm really sorry. I finally understand why everyone's been mad at me, and I'll try my best to be better! I'm so sorry," Mimi bit her lip.
"I appreciate the apology, but it's too late. The smoothie shop's closing because of you," TK shook his head.
"Isn't there something I can do to fix that?" Mimi gasped.
"Unless you can turn back time, not really. I just got a job working with Kari though, but that means this place has been unattended in the meantime. I can't expect Davis to babysit it. It's not fair to him," TK crossed his arms.
"I can make it in my schedule, I don't mind," Davis held up his planner.
"I'll take care of it! I'll watch over it! Please, let me prove myself to you guys!" Mimi begged.
"I don't know if that's a good idea…," TK paused.
"I think I'd be more comfortable with the booth being left alone," Matt smirked.
"Okay guys, cut it out. She's trying to make things right and you're not letting her," Izzy put his hands on his hips.
"Why do you even care so much?" Kari clenched her jaw.
"Because you guys took me in when I didn't have any friends. If you guys didn't reach out to me first, I don't think I would have friends even to this day," Izzy said.
"You've got a point, you're no Georgia peach yourself and we still hang out with you," Tai smirked.
"Mimi, we all have our flaws, but at the end of the day, we all try to watch out for each other. We're in this together, so you have to play as part of a team. Friends are there for each other, so just like you can count on us, can we count on you too?" Sora asked.
"Yes. I'll be the best friend you'll all ever had!" Mimi wagged her finger at everyone.
"Okay best friend. Now if you don't mind, would you please man the smoothie stand, and please don't mess it up?" TK handed her his apron.
"You got it," Mimi put the apron on.
"I think this might be the first time that we saw Mimi hired," Tai smirked.
"No, we saw it before. At the same place," Sora said.
"Talk about full circle," TK sighed.
"I wonder what'll be ahead of us next," Matt shrugged.
"I don't even want to think about it," Izzy groaned.
