I don't own Total Drama and The Walking Dead.
Sorry if you find any grammar mistakes. I'm still learning English because it's not my first language.
Dr Changer: You'll have to wait and see. Alejandro vs Jose might happen :)
Brendan: You'll have to wait and see. As for the 28 days later character, I'm not exactly sure because It's been a long time since I watched that movie :)
Rick came out of the cellblock and walked into the main yard of the prison. He brought his hand over his eyes, trying to get his eyes used to the morning sun and held it there for a few seconds before lowering it down. He walked through the yard for several seconds and made his way to the barrel that was filled with water. He dipped his hands into it before splashing the water all over his face.
He stared at his reflection in the water, watching how the drops of water were going down his face to his beard before eventually landing either on his clothes or on the ground, before turning his gaze towards the small farm which his group has been using to grown plants and to grow animals. He let out a short chuckle. He never excepted that he'll become a farmer at some point of his life.
He reached his hand to the main gate and opened it. He walked through the now opened gate and started making his way to the farm. He made sure to prepare everything he needed to get his morning work tone. He grabbed the wheelbarrow which was filled with his farming equipment and dragged it to the plants.
He picked up his hoe and started tending the crops, moving the hoe back and forth across the ground, ignoring huge the walkers which coming out of the forest and gathering on the other side of the fence. He didn't even heard them slamming themselves against the fence because he had a pair of earbuds placed in his ear, listening to the music.
He stopped working when he felt how his hoe touched something in the ground that wasn't a rock. He knelt down and started moving the dirt away from the thing that his hoe just hit. It happened to be a handgun. He took the earbud out of his right ear and picked the handgun up. He eyed it for a few seconds before his attention was brought towards the fence.
He stood up from his kneeling positon and glanced over at the walkers which were on the other side of the fence. He stared at the undead for a while before grabbing the earbud and placing it back in his ear, not wanting to hear their grunting right now. He unloaded the handgun and saw that it's clip was fully loaded. He threw it into the wheelbrow before throwing the handgun into it as well.
He placed his hoe aside and decided that it was time to check on the pig that he and his group was growing for food, but before that, he wanted to take a sip of water. He lifted up a bottle of water and took a quick sip before noticing his son coming down towards him.
"You didn't wake me up." Carl told him.
"Cause I knew you were up all night reading comics with a flashlight.." Rick answered.
Carl came over to his dad's side before both of them leaned against the fence of the pig pen. He pointed at one of the pigs which was laying in the corner of the pen, it's eyes closed, "What's up with Violet?"
Rick sighed, "Carl, I told you not to name them. They're not piglets anymore. They're food."
"I just thought, you know, until..." Carl lowered his gaze as his father looked down at him, "Okay."
"I don't know what's going on with her. Could be sick, could be nothing." Rick explained before turning his gaze towards the pig in the corner again, "Feel better, Violet."
He glanced down at his son and both of them shared a chuckle. He turned back and saw that his people were already gathering in the yard, underneath a roofing where DJ and Carol were cooking food for everyone. Everyone seemed to love it as they dug into their plates. He looked up at the watch tower and saw that Chris already made his way to the top of it. His rifle was placed against the wall as the host of Total Drama was holding a plate of his breakfast in his right hand.
Rick turned towards his son, once again, "Come on, let's get to it."
Daryl and Duncan walked together through the yard as they were making their way over to Carol and DJ who were going to give them their breakfast, occasionally replying to the greets that they received from the people which were feasting on the deer which they recently caught when they were out hunting.
Dr. Stevens looked up from the book she was reading and greeted them, "Morning, Daryl, Duncan."
"What's up, Dr. S?" Daryl greeted her in return while Duncan offered her a quick nod of his head. They made their way to Carol and DJ who were grilling some venison for everyone, "Smells good."
"Just so you know, I liked you first." Carol commented, referring to Daryl.
Daryl rolled his eyes, picking up a bowl of venison, "Stop."
"Wish you could say the same thing about me, huh?" Duncan asked her, smirking to which Carol gave him a shrug of her shoulder, but smiled neverthless.
"Someone else can say it to you, though." She pointed out, glancing over her shoulder at DJ.
"Just to let you know, Duncan." DJ spoke up, carrying a bowl of venison and handing it out to Duncan, "I and Geoff liked you first back on the island."
Duncan rolled his eyes, taking the bowl from his friend, "You got me here."
"Besides, Rick, Chef, and the others brought in a lot of them, too." Daryl pointed out before placing a piece of venison in his mouth, with Duncan nodding in agreement.
"Can't say that Rick did brought a lot of them recently." Carol shrugged, "Give the stranger sanctuary, keeping people fed, you're gonna have to learn to live with the love."
"Right." Duncan said to which Daryl nodded.
DJ set the fork down, turning his gaze towards the young man with glasses over his nose, "We need you two to see something. Patrick, you want to take over?"
"Sure thing, DJ." Patrick nodded, as made his way to the grill. Carol and DJ came over to Daryl and Duncan and were about to head out to show them something, but they were stopped by Patrick who spoke up to the redneck and the juvie, "Hey Duncan, and you Mr. Dixon, I just wanted to thank you for bringing that deer back yesterday. It was a real treat, sir. And I'd be honored to shake both of your hands."
Duncan exchanged a look with DJ who shrugged and smiled at him. The juvie grabbed Patrick's hand and gave it a quick shook while Daryl sucked the bits of venison from his fingers before holding his hand out to Patrick who grabbed it. Patrick's smile twisted a bit as Daryl shook his hand. Carol exchanged a smile with DJ and Duncan when they noticed Patrick's expression as Daryl let go off of his hand.
"What about our favourite cook?" Daryl asked as the group of four started heading over to the fence, "Can't he show his cooking skills that I heard so much about?"
"Chef is busy preparing everything for that supply run to that place that he was wanting to check since he set his eyes on it." DJ explained a few seconds before they stopped in front of the fence and saw how a group consisting of several people from the prison was taking out the undead on the other side of the fence.
"I see that Gwen's group is already doing their thing." Duncan remarked before placing a piece of venison in his mouth. After the undead on the other side of the fence started becoming much big problem, the goth formed a group of several people to take care of the problem every morning.
"Yes." Carol nodded, "The thing is, we had a pretty big buildup overnight. Dozens moretowards tower three. It's getting as bad as last month."
"With more of us sitting here, we're drawing more of them out." Daryl stated, "You get enough of those damn fence-clingers, they start to herd up. Pushing against the fences again."
"It's manageable, but unless we get ahead of it, not for long. I don't even want to think what will happen when the fence will fall." DJ crossed his arms and shook his head, knowing how bad the things will get once the undead will destroy the fence. They managed to take care of the problem the last time, after the Governor destroyed the gate during his attack, but this time, taking care of it was going to be much harder.
Glenn stared at the upper bunk of his bed as his wife, Maggie was laying underneath the blankets next to him, cuddling with him. He glanced at his wife for a second, seeing that she had her eyes closed but was awake.
He let out a short sigh before sitting up on his side of the bunk, "I don't think you should go today."
"Really?" Maggie asked him, opening her eyes to look up at her husband.
Glenn nodded, "Yeah."
"We have the suits." Maggie pointed out.
"Yeah, but you don't have to go." Glenn insisted, "You shouldn't."
Maggie sat up on the bunk and started rubbing his forehead, "You know everything's gonna work out, right? Right?"
"Right." Glenn nodded before sharing a quick kiss with his wife, "But you're staying, okay?"
His wife gave him a nod, "Fine."
Hershel was explaining to Rick how to properly take care of the plants when they heard a whistle from the watch tower which was followed by the sound of a car engine. They turned around and saw Chris waving his hand around which meant only one thing. Someone was coming. He and his quickly pushed themselves into run towards the gate and opened it, allowing Michonne who was riding on the horse and Izzy, Ezekiel, Cody and Noah who were inside the blue truck to enter the safe area.
They locked the gate right after, to prevent the undead from invading the fields and started making their way to the five members of their groups. Michonne hopped off the horse as Ezekiel, Izzy, Cody and Noah got out of the truck.
"Hey, Zeke." Carl called out, running over to them, "How many fishes did you and the rest caught this morning?"
"A lot, eh. It should be enough for tommorow's breakfast." Ezekiel smiled, as he showed his speargun off to him. The homeschool started going out to get some fishes for the group every morning and Izzy, Cody and Noah were joining him from time to time, "Good thing that Izzy got me this. It makes everything much easier."
Rick smiled at Michonne, "Glad to see you."
"Glad to see you, too." Michonne returned his smile before reaching into her bag and pulled out a few comic books. She held it out to Carl, giving him a good look at them. It was mostly superhero stuff, but there was one thing that stood out from the rest. It was a manga titled "Assassination Classroom", "Somebody hit the jackpot."
"No way." Carl smiled, taking the comic books and the manga from her, "Awesome! Thank you."
"I get to read 'em when you're done." Michonne told him, smilling.
"I wouldn't put my hopes up if I were you." Cody told her.
"Why?" Michonne asked, turning to look at the geek.
"You're actually third in line." Cody explained, "I told Carl to let me read his new comics once he'll get them and be done with them."
"Just my luck." Michonne rolled her eyes but smiled neverthless as she reached into her bag and pulled out a shaver, "Your face is losing the war. You can give this to Chris or Alejandro too."
"You gonna stay a little while?" Rick asked her.
Michonne nodded, "Just a little while."
"I should get going." Cody said, as he pointed at Gwen's group who was busy taking care of the walkers on the other side of the fence, "I'm supposed to help the others with the fence."
The geek offered them a quick wave as he started to making his way to Gwen's group as Izzy watched him leave for a second before speaking up, "I need to get going too. I heard that Chef is planning to check the place he's been planning to check for a while now. They might need someone to join them."
"I'll go with you." Michonne said, coming over to Izzy's side.
"You just got here." Carl pointed out.
"And I'll be back." Michonne assured him as she started making her way towards the main gate along with Izzy, Noah and Ezekiel. She and Izzy were going to go talk with Chef and ask if they could join him and the rest on the supply run while Ezekiel and Noah were going to get something to eat.
Alejandro rubbed his growing beard, making his way to the people who were taking care of the undead on the other side of the fence. It's been a while since he shaved. The last time when he shaved was before Merle kidnapped Glenn, Maggie, Gwen and Noah and brought them to Woodbury. He considered shaving it off for a while now, but ultimately decided to keep it, at least for now, and a certain person seemed to like it.
He exchanged a look with Tyreese as they stopped in front of the group which consisted of Heather, Cody who joined them a few minutes ago, Gwen, Trent, Leshawna, Karen, and a few other people was taking care of the undead on the other side of the fence.
Tyreese went over to Karen and greeted her with a kiss as he came over to Heather offering her a quick, "Morning, mi amor."
Heather turned her gaze away from her job and smiled at him, "Morning."
"You didn't wake me up this morning." Alejandro crossed his arms, "I woke up later than usual."
"I had something to take care of and I thought that you could use some sleep." Heather pointed at the fence next to her, shrugging her shoulders. She smiled and Alejandro returned her smile. They leaned in and pressed their lips against each other, sharing a quick kiss. She and Alejandro started a relationship about a week after their last clash with the Governor.
"If you say so." Alejandro said after they released each other from the kiss, "I came here to tell you that I might not be in the prison for most of the day."
"Why?" Heather asked him.
"Chef is planning to head out to that supermarket that caught his attention a while ago. I volunteered go with him." Alejandro explained.
"Who's going on this run beside you two?" Heather wanted to know.
Alejandro rubbed his chin, "Except the two of us? Sasha, Daryl, Glenn, Duncan, Oscar, Ty, Harold, Geoff, Eva, and Zach. Izzy and Michonne should be going with us too because I saw them talking with Chef about it when I was coming here."
Heather nodded her head, "You be careful out there."
"I will, mi amor." Alejandro nodded his head in return, "You don't need to worry about that."
Harold put his shotgun in the trunk of the pickup before walking over to Duncan and Geoff to get more stuff that their group was going to need on the supply run. Oscar and Zach, a young man that was taken into the prison not long after the group clashed with the Governor tossed their backpacks into the trunk shorty after as Chef placed his M16 into the trunk of the Hyundai.
"Hey." Zach smiled when he saw Beth coming his way, "Just, you know, wanted to make sure that I saw you before..."
Beth cut him off by placing a quick kiss on his lips before asking, "What's up."
"Well, the council pulled back everyone on the coal crew from going on the run. They're shorthanded right now." Zach explained, "I figured I'd step up to help, go with 'em. Just, you know, wanted to make sure that I saw you before."
Beth nodded, "Okay."
"I know." Beth chuckled before placing a quick kiss on his cheek.
"Okay, are you gonna say good-bye?" Zach asked as Beth started walking away from him to do her own thing.
"Nope." She answered.
"It's like a damn romance novel." Daryl stated, sitting on his motorcycle as Beth disappeared around the corner of the prison building.
"You read romance novels?" Chef asked him with a chuckle, causing Daryl to roll his eyes, "I have to say, I didn't took you for the person that reads them."
"Hey!" A familiar voice called out to them. They turned to the source of it and saw a black skinned man by the name Bob Stookey walking over to them, "I'd like to start pulling my weight around here."
Geoff smiled at Bob's enthusiams. It's been only a week since he, Daryl, and Duncan found him and brought him to the prison and the newcomer was eager to prove himself to the group since then, mostly complaining about how he didn't had anything to do, which annoyed some, but personally Geoff liked how he was eager to help.
"Bob, it's only been a week." Sasha pointed out.
"That's a week worth of meals, a roof over my head." Bob pointed out in return, "Let me earn my keep."
"You were out on your own when Daryl, Duncan and Geoff found you." Sasha began.
Bob nodded, "That's right."
"C'mon, Sasha." Geoff spoke up, "If he wants to prove himself then we should let him."
"You know he was a medic in the Army." Glenn added on Bob's behalf.
Sasha was silent for a few seconds before nodding her head, "Okay."
"Thanks." Bob nodded his head, grateful that they were letting him come, "You won't regret it."
"You know something, Geoff?" Duncan asked the party animal as he sat down on the seat of his motorcycle, letting out a snort, "I wouldn't be suprised if you became Bob's favourite person in this group."
"It just just like I said, man." Geoff shrugged, "If he wants to prove himself to our group, then we should let him. At least he wanted to come with us to this place. Remember those two brothers we came across a month ago?"
Harold who was wearing riot gear placed his hand on his chin, "The ones with black 1967 Chevrolet Impala?"
"Yeah." Geoff nodded his head as the memory of one time when he, Duncan and Harold came across two brothers when they were on the supply run flew through his mind. They offered the brothers a place in the prison when they turned out to be alright people, but the brothers declined their offer, saying that they already had experience with communities and it wasn't a good one, "That's a shame they didn't want to join us. They seemed like good people, at least in todays world standards, but I can understand why they didn't want to stay here."
"Some people just don't trust places like this one?" Duncan wanted to know if Geoff was about to say what he thought he was going to say.
"Yeah." Geoff gave him a nod of confirmation, "After what happened with the Governor, I can see why some people are distrustful towards communities like ours."
"Yeah." Duncan sighed as he unfortunely was close to a person that learned this the hard way, "Me too."
Seeing how Duncan's expression twisted a bit at the mention of the Governor and what this man has done, Geoff realized that he might have make a mistake by mentioning it to the juvie, "I'm sorry, man. I didn't want to, you know."
"You don't need to be sorry, man. I've moved on from what happened to her." Duncan assured his friend, "This is what she would want me to do."
"Alright, soldiers!" Chef loudly declared, which was followed by the sound of a car starting up. The co-host of Total Drama stood in front of the opened doors to the driver seat of the car from the gas station. Izzy, Oscar, Michonne, and Eva were already waiting for him inside, "We're heading out!"
Rick walked through the forest, intending to check on the traps that he and his group planted in the area, hoping that at least one of them will catch an animal. The traps were just a few meters away from him when he a grunt which clearly belonged to an animal rang through his ears. He made his way to the source of it and saw a wounded boar laying in front of him, releasing agonzining grunts with each passing minute.
He stepped towards the nearest tree and hid behind it when he saw a walker approaching the boar. He leaned out of his cover and saw how the walker knelt down in front of the boar, seconds away from digging into it's new meal.
He was about to get away from the walker, but stopped when a feminine voice called out to him, "Wait!"
Rick could feel how his eyes widened when he heard that voice. He slowly turned to look at the walker which unlike he originaly thought, turned out to be a living person. The person person standing in front of him was a woman that was covered in dirt and mud, wearing torn clothes.
"...Please? Please help me..." The woman pleaded for his help, "...I know you don't know me. Okay, I know that. But can you please help me get this to my husband? We haven't eaten in days..."
Rick slowly approached the unknown woman. He pulled out a sandwich out of his bag and held it out to her, "Here. Go ahead."
The woman came closer to him and took the sandwich, "Thank you. Do you have a camp around here?"
"Yes." Rick nodded in confirmation.
"Could we possibly come back with you?" The woman asked him, "We've been doing... very badly on our own."
"I'd have to meet him." Rick explained, "I need to ask him some questions, both of you."
"What questions?" The woman asked him another question.
"Just three. When we get there." Rick replied, "Do you have a gun on you?" The woman shook her head, "Can I make sure?"
The woman nodded her head, shrugging her shoulders. Rick circled around her and made sure to quickly search through her, as the woman just waited for him to be done with it. After several seconds of searching through her and finding out that the woman was completely weaponless, got himself in front of her and leaned down, wanting her to hear everything he had to say to her.
"Look, I don't know you." He told her, "So I'm just gonna tell you this. You try anything- anything- you're gonna be the one who loses."
"I don't have anything else to lose." The woman told him.
"No." Rick shook his head, pulling out a knife and holding it out to her, 'You do."
The woman hesitated for a few seconds, but eventually took the knife from Rick and started leading the sheriff deputy through the forest towards her and her husband's camp.
Carl shook his head as he and Patrick who he became good friends with started approaching the group of children was watching a few walkers from their side of the fence, shouting out to them and calling them names that they came up with for them.
"Look! This one has a name!" One of the children pointed at the walker of a short young man who had a purple hair. He had a note with his name glued to his grey clothes, "Max!"
"Hi, Max!" A girl called out.
"Max!" A young boy called out shorty after.
"You're naming them?" Carl asked as he approached them with Patrick, causing them to turn around to look at him and Patrick
"Well..." One of the girls, Mika began, "One of them has a name tag, so we thought all of them should."
"They had names when they were alive. They're dead now." Carl stated.
"No, they're not." Mika's older sister Lizzie argued, "They're just different."
"What the hell are you talking about?" Carl asked her, "They don't talk. They don't think. They eat people. They kill people."
"People kill people. They still have names." Lizzie pointed out.
"Have you seen what happens?" Carl asked her another question, "Have you seen someone die like that?"
Lizzie was silent for a few seconds before replying, "Yeah, I have."
"They're not people and they're not pets." Carl told her, "Don't name them."
"We're supposed to go read." Lizzie said in a saddened manner, as she and one boy and the other girl started walking away from Carl and Patrick, "Come on."
Her sister stayed behind for a moment. She looked at Patrick and asked him, "You coming to story time tonight?"
Patrick hesitated for a second before replying, "Uh, yeah."
"See you then." Mika smiled at him before following her sister.
Patrick looked at Carl who was looking at him with a questioning expression on his face, "I go sometimes. I'm immature. You wouldn't dig it. It's for kids. I'm gonna head up there, too. I'll catch you later, young sir."
"Yep." Carl nodded as Patrick followed Lizzie's group.
The group that headed out to check the supermarket had arrived at their destination. Chef and Daryl stood in front of the group as all of them observed their surroundings through the fence that was built in front of the supermarket.
"Army came in and put these fences up. Made it a place for the people to go." Chef began his explanation to the group, "Last week when I and pretty boy spotted this place, there was a bunch of walkers behind this chain-link keeping people out like a bunch of guard dogs."
"So they all just left?" Bob asked him.
"I don't think so, soldier." Chef told him before music started ringing through everyone's ears, "Listen closely."
"You drew 'em out." Michonne stated.
"I and Chef came here three days ago and put a boom box out there." Harold explained, "Hooked it up to two car batteries."
"Alright." Daryl nodded, entering the area of the store through the hole in the fence, "Let's make a sweep."
Chef was the next one to go through the hole and everyone followed him and Daryl, "Grab what you can. We'll come back tomorrow with more people."
"It feels like the CDC again, minus the explosion thing." Izzy whispered to herself, keeping her shotgun in ready as she watched the abandoned army vehicles as Eva looked at her because she heard what Izzy just said, "You weren't with us when it happened."
The group split up into smaller groups and started walking towards the store, exploring the area around them, trying to find anything that they could take with them to the prison in the tents. Their exceptations were met up with what they found. The tents were filled with either junks or were completely empty. Oscar and Duncan even thought about hotwiring one of the Humvee's but their didn't had the tools to do so.
Daryl and Chef approached the front of the store. Daryl sat down on the windowsill, as Chef stood on his left. The Dixon elbowed the window a few times before turning his attention towards Chef as Michonne, Duncan, Harold, Geoff and Zach approached them.
"Just give it a second." He told them to which everyone nodded in understanding.
"Okay I think I got it." Zach declared after a moment, causing everyone to turn their attention towards him.
"Got what?" Michonne asked him, with Chef nodding his head to her question as Duncan rolled his eyes, knowing where this was going.
"I've been trying to guess what Daryl did before the turn." Zach explained as he sat down on the windowsill next to Daryl.
"He's been trying to guess for, like, six weeks." Daryl explained.
Zach nodded, "Yeah, I'm pacing myself. One shot a day."
"All right, shoot." Daryl told him, nodding his head.
"Well, the way you are at the prison, you being on the council, you're able to track, you're helping people, but you're still being kind of... surly. Big swing here." Zach paused for a moment, exchanging a quick look with everyone around him. At the end he turned his gaze towards Daryl, "Homicide cop."
Michonne and Chef bursted into laughter, as Harold bit his tongue, trying to stop himself from laughing as well while Duncan and Geoff exchanged a smile and let out a few chuckles.
Daryl shifted his attention between Chef and Michonne, "What's so funny?"
"Nothing." Michonne smiled, "It makes perfect sense."
"It perfectly fits your description." Chef nodded in agreement before letting out another chuckle.
"Actually, the man's right..." Daryl began but was cut off before he could say more.
"Shut up, redneck." Duncan laughed, "Hell, If you were a cop, then I was a goddamn top student!"
Zach turned to look at Duncan, Harold and Geoff, "What about you, guys? What do you think Daryl used to do before the turn?"
"To be honest." Harold rubbed his chin, looking at Daryl, "I can't really picture you having a job."
Geoff pointed at Harold, nodding his head in agreement, "Same here."
"You're not too far from the truth." Daryl nodded his head at the two young men.
It was when a shadowy figure appeared behind Daryl and Zach. The walker started slamming itself against the window and everyone quickly turned their attention towards it, knowing that it was time to move into the supermarket.
"We're doing this, detective?" Chef asked Daryl, smilling.
Daryl nodded, readying his crossbow, "Right behind you, general."
They made their way to the entrance of the supmarket where the rest of their group was waiting for them.
"All right, we go in, stay in formation for the sweep. After that, you all know what you're supposed to look for. Any questions?" Sasha explained as Tyreese and Eva carried out two bodies out of the supermarket, "Any questions?"
"Was there ever a time that you weren't the boss of me? Tyreese asked his sister after placing the body on the ground.
Sasha chuckled, "You had a few years before I was born."
Everyone held their weapons in the air, in ready, in case if they came across a walker on their way as they entered the supermarket. Bob remained outside for several seconds to stare at the bodies that Tyreese and Eva just carried out of the supermarket before following his group into the building.
They had no idea that the roof of the supermaret was filled with the undead.
Rick continued to follow the woman who as he found out went by the name of Clara as she led him through the forest towards her camp. He walked behind her, because it would be easier for him to spot a trap if she was leading him into one.
"We were going to Puerto Vallarta for our honeymoon. When they shut down the airports, our connecting flight never connected." Clara said as she walked in front of Rick, her eyes glued to the path ahead of her, "They wouldn't let us leave the terminal, so... we slept next to these huge marble sculptures from Zimbabwe. Then, on the fourth night, the things just came through. There were a lot of us and... now it's just Eddie and me. And I wouldn't have made it if it wasn't for him. And it isn't that... he saved me over and over again or that he showed me the things that I had to do or... to be willing to do. If he wasn't still here... I- I couldn't be. I just- I couldn't..."
"What were they?" Rick asked Clara, wanting to know what she meant by the things she was willing to do.
Clara looked over her shoulder at him, "What?"
"The things you had to be willing to do." He explained to her what he meant by his question.
"Um... eating whatever we could find- animal carcasses and rotten fruit- and... leaving people behind." Clara explained, "Hiding from people who needed my help. Unlike you."
Rick shook his head, "This is not charity. You have to have numbers. People are the best defense against walkers or people. We help each other."
The entire group had to admit it. It was worth giving this supermarket a try. The supermarket was suprisingly well stoked. The shelves had decent amount of food and drinks, perharps enough to fill one of the vehicles. Eva walked together with Izzy when a shop standee which looked very similiar to a walker appeared in her view. She stopped walking and glanced at the standee with unamused expression on her face before pulling out her hammer and slamming it against the standee which collpased on the floor.
She made her way back to Izzy, passing by Alejandro who rolled his half filled cart through the supermarket in the process. The spanish young man turned around the corner, and saw Oscar who was searching through the shelves, as if he was looking for something.
"Oscar, amigo." Alejandro called out, earning the former prisoners attention, "What are you searching for?"
"I'm trying to find any oxy in this place." Oscar explained, looking through the shelves, "Our group is lacking it and Axel would roll in his grave if I missed it."
"I'll let you know if I'll find any." Alejandro smiled at him. Oscar was right. Their group was lacking oxycodone. Dr. Stevens and Bridgette would definitely be grateful if they found some for them.
Oscar nodded his head and went back to his searching as Alejandro continued to roll through the store. He exchanged a look with Bob who rolled his cart into an aisle. The shelves in the aisle were filled with all kinds of alcohol and he made sure to keep his gaze away from it, but failed to do so after several seconds. He grabbed one wine bottle and eyed it for a second.
He looked around himself, making sure that no one from his group was watching him before reaching for his bag, intending to place the bottle in there. He was about to put the bottle in his bag, before he started to have second thoughts about it. He eyed the bottle again, before deciding to place it back on the shelve, not wanting alcohol to cause more trouble in his life than it already has.
The moment he placed the bottle back on the shelve, the two sets of shelves in front of him collapsed down. The shelves slammed themselves on top of him, landing against a pile of crates, trapping Bob underneath them.
Daryl, Chef, Tyreese, Zach and Geoff quickly rushed over to help him. The Dixon leaned down and shined his flashlight at trapped Bob, "You all right? You cut or something?"
"No, man, but my foot is caught." Bob answered.
"Alright." Daryl nodded as he looked up at Chef, Tyreese, Zach and Geoff, "He's just caught."
Chef nodded his head and as he placed his hands on the shelves, "Come on, help me up."
"What happened?" Harold's voice sounded from the other side of the supermarket as Tyreese, Zach and Geoff placed their hands on the shelves too.
"Everyone's all right. We're over in wine and beer!" Zach yelled out in response, starting to lift the shelve up along with Chef, Tyreese and Geoff, intending to free Bob as fast as possible.
"I was moving fast, man." Bob looked up at them as he was still trapped under one shelve, "I drove right into the drinks."
Tyreese glanced down at him, "Man, you lucked out. If this thing had come down on you the wrong way."
He was cut off when the sound of a cracking roof rang through his ears as Glenn, Sasha, Michonne, and Oscar ran over to them. They looked up at the ceiling just a seconds before one walker crushed through it.
"Yeah, uh, we should probably go now." Glenn stated, before another walker crashed through the roof and landed on the floor.
"Bob's still stuck." Daryl pointed out, "Get him out of there."
"We'll get the others." Michonne said, ready to unsheath her katana at any moment.
More holes began opening in the roof as more and more walkers continued to fall through them. Most of the group started backing away from the undead as Bob looked back and his trapped leg. He tried to move it but it didn't budge. It just didn't budge.
"Hey!" He yelled at the top of his lungs.
Zach backed away from one walker that lunged for him as Glenn gritted his teeth as one of the undead got himself on top of it. It was about to lunge for his face, but luckilly Glenn managed to block it in time with his arm, feeling extremely relieved that that he decided to wear riot gear on his supply run. He punched the walker straight in the face with his other hand, giving himself enough time to back away from the undead.
He pulled out his pistol and finished the undead off with one shot to the head while Izzy exchanged a look with Eva when they ran into an aisle and two walkers walking towards them. She aimed her shotgun and fired it at the undead as Eva pulled out her handgun and quickly took care of the other one. Tyreese and Geoff ran into an aisle together when they came across a few walkers on their way. Geoff quickly unsheathed his machete and got rid of the walkers that were closest to him and Tyreese who took care of the ones in the back with his pistol.
Duncan and Harold raised their weapons immediately when they saw the undead heading their way and opened fire. Harold backed away for a second when his shotgun ran out of the rounds, intending to reload his weapon as Chef came running from the aisle, and started aiding them against the undead. Daryl released an arrow from his crossbow, killing one walker, before slamming his crossbow against the other one, getting rid of it as well.
The Dixon pulled out his pistol and jumped on top of a crate as a group of a few undead gathered around him. He started taking them down with his pistol before pausing for a second. He looked up and saw a helicopter standing on the roof, and that it was just moments from falling into the supermarket while as Glenn and Oscar came running towards him and got rid of the undead that were around him.
"Guys!" Oscar pointed at the ceiling.
Glenn looked up at the ceiling and saw that a helicopter was about fell down, "Go!"
They started making their way towards Bob, knowing that they had to get him out and came across a few walkers on their way, but someone else started taking care of them for them.
"Get Bob!" Zach shouted, firing his pistol at the walkers.
"Hey!" Bob called out for help, once again as one legless walker started crawling towards him. He put his hands on it's forehead, pushing it away from him as best as he could.
It was when Daryl came in his rescue and grabbed the undead by it's torso, pushing it away from Bob. When it was in a safe distance from the dark skinned man, the Dixon slammed his boot on the walker's head, which exploded into hundreds of pieces. He ran over to the shelve and started lifting it up.
After taking care of the walkers, Zach quickly ran over to the shelve and started helping Daryl in getting Bob out from his prison. He nodded his head at Daryl, telling hm that he'll hold the shelve for long enough to get Bob out of there to which Daryl nodded in return. He grabbed Bob and brought him back to his feet before quickly running over to their group.
Zach was about to join him, but a walker crawled out from the underneath of the shelve and bit into his leg. Zach screamed in pain as the walker pulled him down to the floor and bit into his neck, blood beginning to stain Zach's entire face.
"Zach!" Glenn shouted as Alejandro aimed his machine rifle at the now bitten young man and pulled the trigger. The bullet hit Zach right in the head, ending the young's man misery.
"Let's go!" Alejandro shouted right after ending Zach's life, knowing that he spared him from having a much more painful death. There was nothing they could do to save him.
Eva looked up at the ceiling and saw that the helicopter was seconds away from crashing through the roof, "Let's get outta of here!"
She didn't had to repeat herself. Everyone quickly started fleeing towards the exit as the helicopter tore the roof apart and came crashing down through the roof.
"...It's just ahead..."
Rick's head shot upwards when those words rang through his ears as Clara led him out of the woods into a clearing. A camp which consisted of a tent which was large enough for two people with a few other things scattered around the area appeared in his view.
"Eddie. Oh, thank God you're still here." Clara said as she walked through the camp and knelt down in front of a burlap sack, "This is Rick. He's gonna help us."
Rick narrowed his eyes. He knew that this woman was miserable from the moment he set his eyes on her, but he wasn't excepting her to be in this state. He was still going to give her a chance. There was a time when he was talking with Jacqui, Tyler, Amy and his wife through the phone, even though the voiced were just in his head.
Clara continued to speak to the burlap sach as he glanced around the camp into the tent and saw two sleeping bags. His attention was brought back towards Clara when a scream rang through his ears. His eyes snapped open when he saw Clara lunging for him with a knife. He dodged her and shoved her to the ground.
"Dammit!" He shouted as he pulled out his Python and aimed it at Clara.
"I wanted to take the boar. I just knew- I knew I'd get you here so much quicker." Clara looked up at Rick who kept his Python aimed right at her head, breaking into sobs, "He's starving. He's slowing. He needs something alive. Please, I told you, I can't be without him. And so I kept him. It was wrong. I can't do things like this. And- and you have to do things like this. Let me be like him. Don't stop it. Don't end it after."
Rick shook his head, "No."
"Let me be with him. Don't stop it." Clara pleaded Rick to end her life, but he didn't fire at her. She knew that he wasn't going to end her. She had to do it herself. She grabbed the knife and placed the end of it against her stomach.
"No!" Rick shouted, seeing what she was about to do as Clara gasped in pain when she stabbed herself in the stomach. He lowered his Python and shook his head as Clara collapsed on the ground, clutching the knife in her stomach. He holstered his Python and knelt down in front of her.
"What were... the questions?" Clara asked him, weakly, with one painful gasp leaving her lungs after another, "The three questions?"
Rick sighed, "How many walkers have you killed?"
"Eddie killed- killed them all..." Clara answered, "...Until..."
"How many people have you killed?" Rick asked her another question.
"Just me..." Clara responded, "...Just me."
"Why?" Rick wanted to know.
Clara let out a few gasps before answering, "You don't- you don't get to come back. You don't get to come back from things. You don't..."
Those were the last words that left her mouth before she died. Rick let out a deep breath and stared at her lifeless unmoving body before something caught his attention. Something was moving under a blanket on the other side of the camp. He didn't had to check what it was to know that it was Eddie.
Carol's voice rang though Carl's ears as he entered the library. He hid himself behind one of the shelves the short haired woman continued to read the book to the everyone in the library. Carol looked up at Ryan who made a hand gesture that he is walking out of the library to take care of his things. She nodded her head at him and Ryan walked out of the library shorty after. She looked up from the book she was reading to make sure that Ryan exited the library before placing the book aside.
"Ma'am, should I take watch now?" One of the children asked her.
"Yes, Luke, you do that." Carol nodded her head as Luke stood up from the floor and made his way to the exit from the library, watching if there was anyone heading towards the library.
Carol turned back and picked up a box that was filled with all kinds of knives. She placed it in front of herself, giving everyone in the library a good look at it, "Today...we are talking about knives- how to use them, how to be safe with them, and how they could save your life."
Patrick raised his hand in the air, earning Carol's attention, "Ma'am, may I be dismissed?"
"What is it?" She asked him.
"I'm not feeling very well." Patrick replied.
"Sometimes you're gonna have to fight through it." Carol told him, "What if you wind up out there alone? You just give up because you're feeling bad?"
"No, it's just I don't want to yack on somebody." Patrick explained.
"Go." Carol nodded as Patrick stood up from his seat and walked out of the library. She turned her gaze towards the knives again and picked one of them up, "Okay, today we're gonna learn how to hold a knife, how to stab and slash and where to aim for..." She paused when she noticed Carl watching her from his spot among the shelves, "Please, don't tell your father."
Carl stared at her for a few seconds before walking out of the library without saying a word.
Rick walked towards the pig pen, holding a bucket of plants in his glowed right hand. The four piglets in the pen ran over to the feeder, happily squelling that were going to get something to eat. He watched them eat for a few seconds before something caught his attention. Violet was not with them. He glanced around the pig pen and spotted Violet laying in the coner, dead.
"Hey, Rick." A familiar voice rang through his ears. He turned to the source of it and saw Chris, "Hershel told me about what that woman you encountered in the forest. I know that he probably already said it to you, but I just want to say to say that you shouldn't blame yourself for what happened to her. You did what you could to help her."
"It's just..." Rick sighed, "How that woman wound up, I got close to that. If I lost Carl and Judith, if I lost this place..."
"You didn't get close to that, not even when Lori died." Chris gave him an assuring pat on his back, "What matters is that you came back to your group. You didn't abandon people that put their trust in you."
Rick nodded his head at him, before whispering "You get to come back." to himself.
Chris titled his head, confused, "What?"
"This is what Hershel told me when I told him about her." Rick explained, to which Chris nodded in understanding.
It was when their attention was brought towards the gate when he heard someone driving towards it. They ran over to the gate and saw that Chef's and Daryl's group had returned from the supply run. They opened the gate and let all of them in, before locking it, once again to not let any walkers inside. Chris poked his hand against the window of the car where Chef was. His fellow host opened the window and looked up at him.
"How did it go?" Chris asked him, "Was this place worth our time?"
"Could have been worse." Chef explained, before letting out a sigh, "But it could have been better. The helicopter came crashing down the roof and we lost Zach."
Goeff let out a short sigh as he made his way to his and Bridgette's cell. It was a very long day and all he wanted right now was to take a rest and see his girlfriend. He entered the cell and saw Bridgette reading a medical book that Dr. Stevens borrowed her.
"Hey, Bridge." He said, earning his girlfriends attention.
"Geoff! You're back!" Bridgette smiled as she placed her book aside. She stood up from the bunk and walked over to Geoff. She placed a quick kiss on his lips before asking, "How did the run go?"
"Eventful." Geoff sighed, "We lost Zach. Alejandro had to put him down."
Bridgette sighed after he told her what happened on the supply run, "Are you alright? Do you want to talk about it?"
"Don't worry. I'm alright." Geoff nodded as he sat down on his bun, "I'm just thinking about Zach. I wasn't that close with him, but I don't like losing people. I'm afraid that one day I might actually get used to it."
Bridgette sat down next to him and kissed him again, "Don't."
Glenn sighed, laying on his bunk as he had just finished explaining to Maggie what happened to Zach on the supply run. Maggie stood in front of their bunk, listening to everything that her husband had to say to her.
"Daryl's telling Beth." He told his wife, "There's nothing else to do."
"I'll go see her." Maggie said as she headed towards the exit from the cell. She stopped in front of it, turning to look at her husband again, "I'm not pregnant."
Glenn sat on up on the bunk, "You know?"
"I know." Maggie nodded in confirmation.
Glenn pressed his head against her belly in relief, "Oh, thank God."
"I didn't want to, but we could have." Maggie grabbed his hands, making him look up at her, "We can have lives here."
"How can you say that after today?" Glenn asked her, "After Lori?"
"Because I don't want to be afraid of being alive." Maggie explained, looking down at her husband.
"Being afraid is what's kept us alive." Glenn stated, looking up at his wife.
"No." Maggie shook her head, "It's how we kept breathing."
Daryl made his way to Beth's cell, intending to inform her about what happenend to her boyfriend and stopped in the entrance to it. He saw Beth laying on her bunk, writing something down in the notebook.
She looked up at him, "Hey."
"Hi." He greeted her in return.
"What is it?" Beth asked him, knowing that something must have happened.
Daryl's answer was short and straight to the point, "Zach."
"Is he dead?" Beth wanted to be sure if Daryl talking about what she thought he was talking about. The silence that Daryl gave her was the only response she needed, "Okay."
She stood up from her bunk and walked over to the sign that she was keeping on the wall. It had 30 DAYS WITHOUT AN ACCIDENTS written on it. The numbers were on tablets, so that she could either replace or add or removed them whenever she wanted. She grabbed the number three and removed it from the sign. She stared at it for a few seconds before looking up at Daryl who was silent.
"What?" She asked him. He must have been suprised that she so calm at the news of what happened to Zach, "I don't cry anymore, Daryl. I'm just glad I got to know him, you know?"
Daryl nodded, "Me too."
"Are you okay?" Beth asked, coming closer to him.
"Just tired of losing people is all." Daryl explained before Beth embraced him in hug.
"I'm glad I didn't say good-bye." She told Daryl, hugging him, "I hate good-byes."
"Me too." Daryl nodded in agreement.
Patrick's vision was blurry when stumbled into the prison's bathroom, his sweat falling down his skin and staining his clothes. He wasn't feeling pretty well the entire day and he felt how his condition was getting worse with each passing hour. He made his way into the bathroom because he thought that shower was going to help him cool off a bit.
He looked around the room and spotted a barrel with water after a moment. He stumbled his way towards it and stopped right underneath it. The water began pouring down at him shorty right after he took out the pump. He placed his hand on the opened pump and just let the water fell down on him.
He closed his eyes, feeling how the water was going all over his body before he closed his eyes and lost his consciousness. He remained on the floor for some time, unmoving and not a single breath was leaving his lungs.
He was dead.
His chest started rising up after a few minutes of laying motionless on the floor. He let out a growl and he opened his bloody red eyes, having returned as a walker.
Here we go with season 4!
The "Here's Negan" episode was so freaking good. It made me like Negan's character even more than I already did. I'm glad that they let him stick around and didn't follow the comics where he was exiled. Definitely one of the best episodes in the entire show.
A question for you:
From Total Drama characters, who do you think is going to get the flu?
Hope it wasn't that bad. See you in another chapter.
