Shut Up And Drive

"Hey guys! Guess what?" Mimi cheerfully smiled.

"Another job?" TK smirked.

"Oh my gosh, how did you know?" Mimi gasped.

"Had a hunch," TK shrugged.

"What's the new gig?" Tai asked.

"I'm a driving instructor for Triple F Insurance!" Mimi grinned.

"How? Don't you need a license to drive?" Sora asked.

"Yeah! I do have a driver's license, duh," Mimi huffed.

"Who the hell would be stupid enough to give you a license?" Matt snorted.

"Laugh all you want, but see!" Mimi pulled her license out of her wallet.

"Apparently, someone in New York State…hold on. Mimi, I thought you lived in New York City before you moved here," Izzy took a closer look at her license.

"I'm from New York, I'm just not from New York City. Does that make sense?" Mimi turned red.

"No," everyone shook their heads.

"Is this even a real license? I thought Niagara Falls was in Canada," Kari frowned.

"No, it's in New York too! And we have the better side," Mimi clenched her jaw.

"In what way? Does that technically mean Canada has the better view? Or are they the better view?" TK asked.

"I think we're done here! I'll take this back," Mimi defensively grabbed her license and shoved it in her purse. "Look, it would be super great if you guys could support me and join my newest driving course! Everyone should learn how to drive, and you'll get discounts on your car insurance once you complete and pass the program!"

"I already have my license," Matt scoffed.

"Same," Tai smirked.

"Sora, what about you?" Mimi leaned over the table.

"Same as them. I just don't have a car," Sora bit her lip.

"Come on, any takers?" Mimi pouted.

"Do we have to learn from you or can we get a different instructor?" Davis asked.

"You're not funny! I'm a damn good driver!" Mimi crossed her arms.

"I feel like only bad drivers say that," Kari winced.

"Sign up to my class and I'll prove you all wrong!" Mimi smirked.

"I don't think that will be necessary. We'll take your word for it," Izzy dryly said.

"Fine, you can be that way, but remember who's the one with the driver's license," Mimi sing-songed.

"Again, that had to be an enigma," TK muttered into his coffee cup.

"Look, I don't want to be late on my first of orientation, so toodles!" Mimi hopped up from her chair and bounced off.

"So, how long do you think this gig will last?" Tai asked.

"For everyone's safety, hopefully not that long," Sora frowned.

"Step right up, and win a new car!" a young man called out.

"A new car?" Davis asked.

"Yes! It's our top-of-the line crossover from this year. It has a lot of great features, including a 5G powered TV built into the steering wheel!" the man smiled.

"Cool," Davis and Tai said in amazement.

"Is it?" Sora made a face.

"Hey, mister! How do you win this car?" Davis tapped on the hood of the car.

"We're going to hold a competition in a couple of days. Basically, everyone will put one hand on the car, and the last one who doesn't lift their hand wins! Simple as that!" the man said.

"Great. So as long as we don't let go of the car, we win? That sounds easy," Matt scoffed.

"Would you guys like to sign up?" the man handed a clipboard over.

"Heck yeah!" Davis grabbed a pen and scribbled his name.

"Hey Kamiya, I've assigned you to a couple of extra hours over the weekend. I know you won't mind, you'll need the extra cash," Miki winked.

"B-B-but I have plans!" Tai protested.

"Nuh uh, no you don't! Not until after the spring formal. You need to start hustling and saving all the money you can, Quizno's boy," Miki sucked her teeth.

"Quizno's?" Tai raised an eyebrow.

"Rumor has it that you're so broke, the only things in your wallet is your school ID and a coupon to Quizno's - and you're still in debt," Miki looked at him disapprovingly.

"Okay, first of all, it's a coupon to Jersey Mike's! Second of all, Yolei needs to mind her own business. You know what, all of you need to mind your own business! Does Catherine know?" Tai turned red.

"I mean, if Yolei told me, she probably told her. Besides, why do you care what Catherine thinks anyways? She's completely moved on to some punk-looking, French-speaking dude. If you ask me, he doesn't sound hot. Her loss," Miki gnarled her teeth.

"She moved on?" Tai's face fell.

"Yeah, and I think it's time you did too! That's why I'm helping you, by keeping you busy and scheduling you for extra shifts! You're welcome," Miki pulled a nail file out of her apron and casually walked off.

"Thanks, I guess…," Tai sighed.

"Davis, what are you doing?" Kari raised an eyebrow.

"I'm practicing to win my new car. I'm closing up shop for a bit so I can focus," Davis bent his knees up and down and stretched his arms up in the air.

"Interesting," Kari nodded. "I hope you win."

"Thanks, I'll need all the support I can get," Davis grinned. "Hey, you should on by and cheer me on. It would mean a lot!"

"When is the contest?" Kari asked.

"This Saturday. I plan on being there all day!" Davis nodded.

"Maybe I'll stop by if I have time. Good luck," Kari smiled.

"Thanks, I'm gonna need it!" Davis smiled back.

"Maybe when it gets warmer, we could drive to a beach town thirty minutes up from here - just to get away from the city," Joe smiled.

"You like the beach? I can't picture you liking anything outside," Sora smirked as she sipped at her tea.

"Hey, I'm not always some stick in the mud. There's an aquarium off of a harbour we could check out. I like looking at the animals, and there's a seal that does practical jokes on the audience," Joe said.

"Interesting. Again, I wouldn't expect that to be up your alley," Sora raised an eyebrow.

"Isn't that why we're getting to know each other?" Joe nervously smiled.

"That's true," Sora reached across the table and squeezed his hand.

"Speaking of, how do your friends feel about the two of us getting to know each other?" Joe bit his lip.

"You know they haven't been your biggest fans, but they'll have to get over it," Sora shrugged.

"Okay. I just don't want to put you in a weird situation," Joe said.

"Don't worry about it. With my friends, nothing is normal anyways," Sora nonchalantly said.

"If that's the case, then would you like to meet up at the aquarium? I think you need to take a car there but I'll double check. Do you drive?" Joe asked.

"Yeah, I can definitely drive!" Sora nervously laughed.

"Hi everyone, thank you for coming to the Triple F Driving school! After completion and passing of this course, you'll have the chance to take your driver's license test and you get a discount on your car insurance! Before we begin, my name is Mimi! Does anyone have any questions for me?" Mimi paced back and forth in front of a dry-erase board.

"Uh, yeah. Do you even have a license? You look pretty young," a middle-aged man grunted.

"Yeah! Do you?" Mimi crossed her arms.

"I did, before it was taken away," the man leaned back in his chair.

"Do I have to be here?" a young woman raised her hand.

"What's your name?" Mimi asked.

"Alexa Rosen," the girl yawned.

"Uh…yes, you do have to be here. You got one too many DUIs," Mimi frowned. "You know what? I think I have questions for the class instead. Who was forced to come here…oh, everyone? Okay. Out of everyone who was forced to come here, who had a license before? Oh, most of you. So…who ended up getting up getting their license taken away?" Mimi winced.

"I think it's fair to say the only new and teenage driver here is the weird kid hiding in the corner wearing that pink hoodie back there," a tall, muscular guy pointed at a smaller boy covered in a mountain of pink fabric.

"Hey there, would you mind taking your hood down?" Mimi sweetly asked.

"Hi Mimi…," Izzy pulled his hood down.

"What a nice surprise! What are you doing here?!" Mimi exclaimed.

"Don't get too excited. My parents signed me up. I just want these classes to go by fast and move on," Izzy turned red and pulled his hood back up.

"With me, we'll have so much fun here! Come, you get to sit up front with me!" Mimi yanked Izzy from his chair and dragged him to the front of the classroom.

"Hah hah, teacher's pet," some of the adults snickered.

"Aren't you like forty? Isn't that a bit too old to be acting like that?" Izzy groaned.

"You're not too young for me to call you a little asshole," one of the students crumpled up a piece of paper and tossed it at Izzy's head.

"Apparently, high school never ends," Izzy winced as a pencil hit him in the cheek.

"There's a bunch of symbols you'll see on the street, but you don't have to pay attention to half of them, unless a cop is around. For example, the yellow traffic light essentially means the same as green. Stop signs only get in the way, and yield signs are totally made up by the government to waste steel on taxpayers money. Write that down, everyone," Mimi nodded.

"Trust me, I will. I'm going to show my parents what they're paying for," Izzy shook his head.

"Hey sis, what's gotten you stressed out?" Matt asked.

"Would it weird if someone our age didn't know how to drive?" Sora pursed her lips together.

"Why? What are you trying to get at?" Matt smirked.

"Nothing…it's just that-"

"Shut up, you don't know how to drive do you?" Matt gasped.

"No, you shut up! No one's supposed to know!" Sora blushed.

"Hey, it can be our little secret! I can teach you how to drive….however, it's gonna cost you," Matt smirked.

"What do you mean by that?" Sora gasped.

"I need you to cover for me during the car contest. I have things to do," Matt said.

"What?!" Sora exclaimed.

"Yeah! And for every hour you don't make it, you'll owe me $20," Matt said.

"What?! Are you serious?!" Sora exclaimed.

"Hey, you can either learn from me and keep this all a secret, or I think Mimi is teaching driving classes for at least twice as much - and you'll have to deal with her guilting you for lying to her about having a driver's license in the first place. I think my prices are pretty fair. A brand new car is on the line," Matt shrugged.

"Fine, you have a deal…," Sora reluctantly stuck her hand out.

"Great! We ride at dusk…or after the mall closes. I know a great place to practice! Meet me at the arcade after you get out from work!" Matt grinned.

"What did I sign myself up for?" Sora muttered to herself.

"Welcome back, Kamiya. I see you brought a friend this time," Yolei put her hands on her hips.

"Yeah. Where's Izzy?" Tai dismissively said.

"He should be in the back. If you don't see him, I'll give you his employee discount. I feel really bad for you, it sounds like you got some high expectations to meet. You better make that girl's night magical," Yolei crossed her arms.

"What exactly are you planning to do with Megumi? I thought this was just some stupid dance," TK whispered to Tai.

"See what I mean? Thanks for helping me out today. I was hoping Kari would have had some free time, but I think you'd be good too!" Tai rested his arm on TK's shoulder.

"Glad to help. Besides, Kari's probably busy with Davis anyways," TK scoffed.

"Someone sounds a little jealous," Yolei smirked.

"I'm not jealous! I just think it's stupid…like why are they hanging out all the time. Especially since she knows how I feel?" TK blurted.

"Oh my god, are you and Kari, you know-"

"No! Nononono!" TK stammered.

"Are you talking about you and Davis? Cause we've joked about it, but-"

"I'm talking about someone else!" TK interrupted Tai.

"Then who?" Tai asked.

"Uh…they have brown eyes," TK said.

"That's pretty descriptive," Tai tapped his chin.

"Hey, what are you guys doing here?" Izzy glumly shuffled over to the boys.

"TK's got a crush on a brown-eyed girl, who isn't Kari," Yolei smirked.

"Hah. If it's the same girl I'm thinking of, take her off my hands. She got me grounded. I'm not allowed to do anything except go to school or work," Izzy grunted.

"Oooh, scandalous! I know you guys hang out in the back room quite a bit, so what happens outside of the mall?" Yolei smirked.

"Guys, don't feed into that insanity. Look, my parents signed me up for that driving course at the mall - and obviously, Mimi is the driving instructor. Also, I happen to be the only student there who is actually a high school student. Everyone else is basically a traffic violator who should not have a license, including Mimi. I took notes on the class, just like Mimi told me to do, but my parents saw them and thought I was being a smart ass, so I'm grounded and they're hiring me a private driving instructor. This isn't necessary at all!" Izzy threw his hands in the air.

"Wah wah, my parents are paying for driving lessons," Yolei mocked him.

"To be honest, I don't feel bad for you. Matt didn't even get driving lessons, he just stole Dad's car and picked up everything he knew from GTA. It was kinda bad, cause he flunked his first couple of driving tests for attempting to run over prostitutes on street corners," TK winced.

"Yeah, and then he taught me! However, when he taught me, I was practicing on the British Invasion expansion pack, so I was driving on the opposite side of the road. I learned that mistake really quickly," Tai nervously laughed.

"I hope whoever my driving instructor is, they won't be as bad as Matt," Izzy remarked.

"Hey guys! Where's Izzy?" Mimi skipped into the store.

"Oh no…why?" Izzy flinched.

"Me and you are going to rendezvous later on after you get out from work!" Mimi poked him on the cheek.

"What on earth makes you think that? I'm grounded because of you," Izzy crossed his arms.

"Your parents have hired me to teach you to drive, silly rabbit! We'll get to be a little more hands-on and personal, since it will just be the two of us! I'll meet you back here before closing!" Mimi smiled and hopped off.

"Ugh…why?" Izzy let out a series of small coughs.

"Dude, are you trying to cry?" TK raised an eyebrow.

"Yeah. I guess I can't do it. Oh well," Izzy blinked rapidly and regained his composure.

"Are you sure we're allowed to be here?" Sora whispered.

"It should be fine! It's not like anyone else will be around. Now stop being a chicken," Matt grabbed her hand as they snuck into the arcade.

"This sounds like such a bad idea," Sora gulped.

"Again, you're being such a worrywort. Here, wear this helmet. No one will see your face. I was able to find out the security codes to all of the stores in the mall while you were distracting Joe with your flirting," Matt hummed as he stood in front of the security alarm.

"You did what?! And no, I wasn't!" Sora snapped.

"Keep it down, or we might get caught. I forgot, I should have them saved on my phone," Matt pulled out his phone and scrolled through his photos. "Bingo, we're clear. Now let's get set up!"

"Some days, I feel like you need help to function in everyday situations, and then there are moments like this. You know, if you tried a little harder, you could go farther," Sora lectured him.

"Yeah, reach for the stars, become an astronaut, blah blah blah. Kiss my butt with that talk," Matt scoffed.

"I was just trying to be nice," Sora crossed her arms.

"Come on, we don't have much time to waste. I'm gonna give you a crash course and teach you how I learned how to drive. First things first, let's warm up a bit with some real-time simulation," Matt led Sora to an arcade game.

"Grand Theft Auto?" Sora made a face.

"Trust me! It's fine! It's almost like real driving, you have the gas pedals, the steering wheel. Same stuff. Just follow the rules of the road. Follow the speed limit signs, red means stop, green means go!" Matt stuck a popsickle stick in the coin slot.

"Matt, I can't do this…this video game is cursing at me!" Sora cried.

"Oh, yeah. Ignore that. You're supposed to drop Crystal and her friends off at the 'dance' club but that's not important right now," Matt rested on the chair behind Sora.

"No! This isn't working for me! I'm being shot at! Why?!" Sora slammed on the brake pedal of the arcade game. "Great! And now I'm dead!"

"I mean, you were driving like a grandma," Matt shrugged.

"Matt! You told me to drive like that!" Sora sprung up from her seat.

"Okay okay, clearly that wasn't working! Maybe you need to be more hands on!" Matt tapped his chin.

"Am I gonna drive your van?" Sora raised her eyebrow.

"Hell no! Did you see how you drove in that video game? There's no way I'd trust you with my car yet! I think this place has a mini-kart track, it's not necessarily the same thing, but it'll help you practice the basics," Matt motioned Sora over.

"Are you sure that's a good idea? We could get caught," Sora whispered.

"Nah. Look, there's someone else here too! We'll just act like we belong," Matt casually said.

"I feel like this could go so wrong," Sora bit her lip.

"Come on, be more positive! Look, you have your helmet, use it," Matt grabbed another helmet and strapped it on his head.

"Okay," Sora took a deep breath in.

"So this is the turny thing wheel. I like this middle button right here," Mimi tapped the steering wheel.

"You mean the horn?" Izzy pressed his lips together.

"Yeah! You use it when people are driving too slow in front of you! Watch!" Mimi pushed the horn down.

*HOOOOOONK*

"Okay, I get it. Horn works," Izzy grabbed Mimi's hand and lifted it off the wheel.

"Then you have these foot things here. One of them makes the car go faster, and the other one stops the car. I forget which one is which. I believe it's different in every car, cause this car isn't moving," Mimi fiddled with the pedals.

"Mimi, have you actually ever driven a car?" Izzy raised an eyebrow.

"What kind of question is that? Of course I have!" Mimi scoffed.

"Maybe the car isn't moving because YOU HAVE TO SHIFT THE GEAR INTO DRIVE!" Izzy yelled.

"Oh silly me, it takes me a minute sometimes!" Mimi grabbed the clutch.

"Mimi…the car is actually moving!" Izzy stammered.

"Duh, that's what it's supposed to do! Don't forget to put your seatbelt on!" Mimi let go of the steering wheel and reached across Izzy.

"No! I'll worry about me! Put your hands back on the wheel!" Izzy shrieked.

"Oh my gosh, you act like I'm gonna get us in an accident or something! These aren't even real cars, and we're the only ones here! Look, I can drive without hands!" Mimi put her hands in the air.

"No you can't! Cut it out!" Izzy grabbed the steering wheel and took control of it.

"Hey, if you want to start driving, you should let me know! Here, I'll move you around and you'll get the hang of this!" Mimi unhooked her seatbelt and slid over Izzy's lap. She grabbed his hands and forcefully put them on the steering wheel.

"Mimi! You're gonna get us killed! I can't even see in front of me!" Izzy yelled.

"Stop being a baby! One day, you might be in a situation like this, and you're gonna need to know how to drive with your view blocked! Now drive faster, you're going too slow!" Mimi grabbed Izzy's thigh and pushed down on it.

"Hey! Let go of me! My foot's getting stuck on the pedal!" Izzy protested.

"Your foot's not stuck! That's called driving, sweetie! Now floor it as much as you can!" Mimi pressed her hand down harder on Izzy's knee.

"Stop, stop, stop! Watch it, there's someone else!" Izzy yanked the steering wheel.

"What? We're supposed to be the only ones he-"

"Crap! How do you stop this car?!" Izzy yelled.

*CRASH*

"Owwie," Mimi groaned as their car tilted to the side.

"Ugh…I guess that's one way to stop a car," Matt spilled out of his seat.

"Oh my gosh, is everyone okay?" Sora limped over to everyone.

"No," Izzy groaned as he laid on the floor, Mimi stacked on top.

"I would say seat belts save lives…but that's probably when they're worn correctly. What the hell is going on here?" Matt kicked Izzy's hand.

"I was trying to teach him how to drive, but he's been giving me attitude the entire time. What are the two of you doing here?" Mimi sighed.

"Uh…," Sora and Matt looked at each other and paused.

*bleep bleep*

"Oh no, are those cop lights I see?" Matt winced.

"Worse…it's mall cop lights," Mimi snarled.

"Great…," Izzy sarcastically said.

"Hey little sis, you ready to go home?" Tai sighed.

"Almost. Coast is clear, if you get my drift," Kari casually wiped down some chairs in front of the cafe.

"You're talking about Catherine?" Tai gingerly smiled.

"Yeah," Kari nodded.

"Good…I've got a bone to pick with her. Not that I would. Can you believe she's been telling everyone at the mall that I'm unhinged?" Tai huffed.

"Kind of. She told me she hopes it doesn't run in the family. It doesn't really sit well with me," Kari frowned.

"Why would it? She insulted us!" Tai slammed his fist against the palm of his free hand.

"But what if she's right? She does have a point. You were kind of hot and cold with her. To be fair, it's not like you guys had the chance to truly know each other, but you didn't start off with a normal first impression," Kari shrugged.

"Okay, way to defend your big brother," Tai put his hands on his hips.

"I'm sorry! I'm just trying to be the outsider looking in. Because even though she's a shit-talker, she might be right. I think I'm unhinged too," Kari bit her nail.

"You unhinged? How?" Tai smirked.

"One of my friends has a crush on a guy, and I think I have a crush on the same guy too," Kari winced.

"Wait, are you serious?" Tai sat down on a chair.

"I mean, my friend has good taste?" Kari nervously shrugged.

"Kari! You're kidding, right? That's not even unhinged- that's outright bitchy! That's dark," Tai looked at her in amazement.

"What? I'm pretty sure this guy isn't even interested in my friend anyways. Totally not his type," Kari shook her head.

"Kari, when did you get so bold? Besides, how do you know what this guy would be into?" Tai gasped.

"I just have a hunch," Kari pensively said. "I'm over this topic. What's going on with you and Megumi? Is this some sort of unhinged stunt to make Catherine jealous? Because I'm not sure if it's working, but it's definitely been on her radar, and she's been writing me up for dumb things lately."

"No! I should have trusted Miki to not talk about me…but I asked Megumi out to the spring formal which hasn't happened yet just so she could leave me alone, but she's kinda expecting the works and she's besties with Miki, so Miki's been working me to the bone. Miki does not want me to let Megumi down at any costs, especially since I've been known to go all out for other girls in the past," Tai smirked.

"Yeah, you paid for a personalized telegram just to tell Catherine a bitch. If that isn't over the top and unhinged, what is?" Kari shrugged.

"I guess you're not wrong. However, this sucks for me because over the top and unhinged is Megumi's type," Tai groaned.

"Yikes. I can't say I'm not surprised though," Kari winced.

"Welll I better not screw this up because if I do, Miki's got my head on a platter," Tai huffed.

"So what are you gonna do?" Kari asked.

"Beats me but I better come up with something good. I don't know how I'm going to do it because I literally have less than three dollars to my name right now," Tai anxiously ran his fingers through his hair.

"The school dance isn't till like, what at least a month away? You should be fine as long as you stop spending money on having other people insult your exes and petty pranks," Kari smirked.

"Okay, fair enough. This is my life on the line. I need to come up with some more cash quickly, cause I don't think these extra shifts are going to cover it," Tai bit his lip.

"You'll figure it out. You manage to find a way somehow," Kari smiled. "I think I finished up here. I'll let the openers take care of this when they set up in the morning. Let's go."

"Wow Kari, have I ever told you, you're kinda bitchier than I thought?" Tai smirked.

"Did you want to go home or not?" Kari mischievously smiled and took off her gloves.

"Yeah, let this be someone else's problem," Tai shrugged.

"Whoa, you look like you got mugged! Did I miss out on something?" Davis whispered.

"Nothing significant. Just family matters," Sora glared at Matt.

"Hey, I did you a favor! It's not my fault you're terrible. Now it's your turn to pay up," Matt said.

"I don't want to be here. What is this anyways?" Sora huffed.

"Shhh, they're going to explain the rules soon!" Davis said.

"Hi everyone! Looks like we've got a nice turnout for the car giveaway! As you see, the prize on the line is our newest crossover SUV with the best additions! There's a little TV in the steering wheel, that can be hooked up with the data on your mobile plan - perfect for the highway rides, or those short traffic lights! We also have warming AND cooling seats, a third back row for all your extra passengers, tinted windows, a sun roof, and a nice smooth leather interior sourced by the rarest Teletubby species. Talk about luxurious! Oh, and did I mention, there's also 6 months of satellite radio included as well! So, how do you win this treasure? All you have to do is be the last one standing! When I set my timer, everyone puts their hands on the car. From there, you cannot lift your hand! If you stop touching the car, you're out!" a man said.

"What if you have to pee?" Davis asked.

"I'll designate 15 minute breaks every 2 hours to give everyone some room to walk around, take a break, but if you're not back by that time, you're out!" the man said.

"This should be a cake walk!" a heavyset man said.

"Oh, and two other rules. No sitting or sleeping while doing the contest. You must stand the entire time, and no having other people tap in for you. If you didn't sign up, you can't play!" the man said.

"Wait, so does this mean that I can't play for you?" Sora smirked.

"What? That's bull crap!" Matt gasped.

"Have fun. Good luck, boys!" Sora smirked and walked off.

"Is everyone ready to win?"

"I know I am," Davis placed his hand on top of the car with purpose.

"Careful! I don't want you denting up my new car!" Matt winked.

"You wish!" Davis smacked him in the arm.

"You're such a hater, it's so cute!" Matt nudged Davis back.

"I can't believe I have to say this, but another rule - please keep your hands to yourself. If you touch another contestant, you're automatically disqualified. This first time is a warning," the man sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose.

"Look, you got us in trouble!" Davis hissed.

"No, it's your fault!" Matt stepped on Davis's sneaker.

"Dude, what's your deal?" Davis kicked Matt in the ankle.

"Are you trying to play footsies with me?" Matt mockingly smirked.

"Touching includes kicking with feet! Both of you are disqualified!" the man said.

"But he started-"

"I don't care! Both of you, leave!" the man shooed Davis away.

"You made me lose my car, you jerk!" Davis huffed.

"No you got it all wrong! You made me lose my car!" Matt scoffed.

"Please settle this somewhere else, or I'll have to cut this contest short and everyone at the mall will hate you both," the man threatened.

"Leaving!" Matt shrugged.

"As if it matters. The whole mall hates you anyways," Davis muttered.

"You know what? Shut up!" Matt shoved Davis into a water fountain and walked off.

"Hey Kari, what are you up to?" TK asked.

"I'm just gonna stop by to see what Davis is up to. I think he'll be at that car competition all day today and he asked me to be there for moral support," Kari said as she casually assembled a sandwich.

"Oh, that's interesting. He never asked me to check up on him," TK frowned.

"It's probably nothing. He probably assumed that you had other things to do," Kari awkwardly smiled.

"It would have been nice if he asked me at least," TK bit his lip.

"He can't read your stupid mind, okay? What do you expect from him? If you really want something just come out and say it instead of acting so melodramatic. We can't all walk on eggshells because you're too damn shy to confront your problems. I gotta go," Kari grabbed her stuff and stomped out.

"What the fuck just happened?" Zoe made a face.

"I wish I knew," TK blinked in surprise.

"I think I know…," Tai raised an eyebrow. "So TK, may I have a word with you?"

"I dunno if this is a great time. Kari just left on her break," TK winced.

"Just go. Me and Catherine can run this store by ourselves. You guys are more of a nuisance than useful lately," Zoe shooed TK away.

"Okay…thanks?" TK frowned.

"Come on kiddo, I think we have some talking to do," Tai rested his arm on TK's shoulder and led him out of the cafe.

"Okay, group meeting. How's everyone's day so far?" Sora asked.

"I got shoved into a fountain, but I still think I'm doing better than half of you. Why do some of you look like you just got out from a car accident?" Davis smirked.

"To be fair, this is the most accurate way to describe it," Izzy smirked.

"But there weren't even any real cars around!" Mimi groaned.

"Hey, careful with the dramatics. You may pull a muscle," Matt smirked.

"Careful with the jokes! We're lucky we got out with the minor injuries we did," Sora crossed her arms.

"Come on, get a sense of humor! Anyone would find this funny!" Matt smirked.

"Except the owner of the go-kart tracks…I'm sorry, but we're going to have to garnish all four of your paychecks to pay for the damages done to those karts," Joe scribbled tickets.

"Fair enough…," Izzy groaned.

"Whoa, where did you come from?!" Davis gasped.

"He's a mall cop," Matt flatly said.

"Also, Mimi. I noticed that you were the current instructor for the Triple F driving course, is that correct?" Joe pushed up his glasses.

"Yep, that's me! I was only teaching my pupils how to drive!" Mimi smiled.

"No problem. Do you mind if I see your driver's license?" Joe asked.

"Sure," Mimi haughtily pulled out her license and handed it over to him.

"Thank you," Joe took the license and snapped it in half.

"Oh my god! What the heck is wrong with you?!" Mimi gasped.

"Your HR director gave me instructions to destroy your license. Also, she wanted me to let you know that as of today, you're fired," Joe said.

"But why?!" Mimi gasped.

"Because you almost killed me! How's that for starters?" Izzy screamed.

"Basically. You almost endangered students under your instruction and you destroyed mall property! Also, who on earth gave you a license in the first place? I'll be taking over effective immediately and all of you can attempt to get your licenses back once I start classes back up," Joe shook his head.

"Eat a fart," Matt stuck his tongue out.

"I don't have a license anymore," Mimi whimpered.

"Stay safe, hope I don't have to see you guys again today," Joe sighed and walked away.

"This is great! Lovely!" Sora crossed her arms.

"Hey Sora. Is this your first fight between you and your new boyfriend?" Matt smirked.

"Get bent," Sora kicked the legs underneath Matt's chair.

*plunk*

"That was unnecessary and rude, big sister!"
