Dr Changer: I'm glad you liked it! This chapter is going shown what happened to the Governor and Jose after the last episode of season 3 :)

Brendan: You'll have to wait and see :)

Mr Blu: I'm glad you're liking my story! :) To answer your question I'm not really planning to much changes when it comes to the deaths of TWD characters.

The saying that the last three weeks were tough for Jose Burromuerto was the understamenent of the century. He's been traveling on his own for a over a week now. He had no idea where Philip, Martinez and Shumpert were or even if they were still alive. About a day after they left together, he was send to Woodbury by the Governor, and was greeted by the view of the community he had helped to built was in the flames, his home. All of the buildings were burning down to the ground. It was all gone, destroyed.

He was once again left with no place to go...

It was just like when he and Carlos had to flee from their settlement after it was overrun by the undead. It was just like the day when his brother was bitten and he had to kill him to spare him the misery of becoming a muerto.

The day after he had to witness his home in flames, he came back to the camp he set up with the Governor, Martinez and Shumpety to break the news to them, only to find out that their camp was overrun by the undead and all three men were nowhere to be see. He attempted to find them, but unfortunely for him they were nowhere to be sound as if they just disappeared.

The spanish man let out a sigh as he scratched his growing beard, making a mental note to himself to shave it off the next opportunity he'll get. He adjusted his M4A1 which was slouchd over his shoulder next to his backpack and glanced at the forested road ahead of him, then shifted his gaze at the sun, wanting to know how much time is left until the night. He must have like two or three hours before the sun will be replaced by the moon.

He shook his head. He hoped to find some shelter during those few hours because he didn't want to spent another night in the tent because it was reminding him of the time before the Governor found him at his absolutely lowest point.

His eyes widened when the sound of someone driving their car rang through his ears. He turned to the source of the noise and saw a pickup truck driving right towards him. He considered hiding himself in the woods, but ultimately decided to remain where he stood, with his hand on his holstered pistol in case if this unknown person was going to try any tricks on him.

He set his gaze on the driver of the pickup the moment they stopped their vehicle. It was a man who was no older than 25 year old. He wore a grey beanie over his black hair and wore a unzipped black jacket over his dirty dark green shirt.

"Would you look at that!" The unknown man exclaimed as Jose cocked his pistol, ready to use it at any moment in case if this man would try any tricks on him, "C'mon buddy, I may understand that you're just being cautious, but there's no need for that."

Jose remained suspicious of this unknown man. He kept his hand on his holstered pistol, ready to pull it out at any second, "What do you want?"

"I'm just wondering if you need a lift." The man answered, "I know this road like my own pocket and believe me, you don't want to go through it on your foot."

"How do I know you won't try any tricks?' Jose wanted to know, not even trying to hide that he was suspicious of this man's intentions.

"Because If I wanted to kill you, I would just ran you over with my baby here." The unknown man shrugged his shoulders, "C'mon. Get in the ride. It should start getting dark soon."

"No, thanks." Jose shook his head, pushing him into walk again, his hand remaining on his pistol, "I'm good on my own."

"Suit yourself." The unknown man once again shrugged his shoulders, readying himself to start his pickup up, "I'll see you in an hour."

Jose stopped and turned around to look at this stranger, confusion evident on his facial features, "Que?"

"I live in an old petrol station and you're walking right towards it. You should come across it in about an hour." The unknown man explained, "It will get dark soon. I can let you stay for the night. It will be better than sleeping on the ground."

Jose remained silent for the next several seconds, thinking about this man's offer and if he should go with him. He knew that coming with a complete stranger in todays world was risky as hell, and that his man didn't really gave him a reason to trust, but ultimately decided to agree on this offer. If what this man told him about his place to live, then he was right. Sleeping in an abandoned petrol station was much better than sleeping in a tent, plus, if this man would try to do anything to him, he could always kill him and take his stuff, including his truck, right?

"...Fine." He finally responded, accepting this man's offer. He approached the pickup and got himself into it, sitting on the pessanger's seat next to the unknown man, "But that doesn't mean that I trust you."

"Fair enough." The unknown man nodded, "Can't blame you for not trusting a complete stranger. I haven't given you a reason to trust me, yet."

"Glad we understand each other." Jose said, gazing through the window of the passenger's seat, waiting for this guy to start driving.

"My name is Wyatt by the way." The man introduced himself to the spanish young man as he started up his pickup and started driving again, "Wyatt Garnett."

Jose responded a few seconds later, seeing not point of remaining nameless if Wyatt already introduced himself to him, "Jose, Jose Burromuerto."

"Nice to meetcha, Jose." Wyatt said to which Jose gave him a quick nod of his head in response. The beanie removed his left hand from the steering wheel and scratched his neck, taking a better look at the man sitting next to him. He eyed Jose and it wasn't long before he came to a conclusion, "Tell me, mate. What happened to the community you used to live in?"

"What?" Jose's eyes snapped open in suprise, "How do you know that..."

"You used to be a part of some sort of community?" Wyatt finished what Jose was about to say, "I just took a guess based on your appearence. You don't look like you've been out here for long."

Jose nodded his head on confirmation, seeing no point in lying if Wyatt already figured it out, "You got me here."

"What happened to it?" Wyatt asked.

"I don't want to talk about it." Jose replied. There was no way he was going to tell the guy that he met just a few minutes ago what happened to Woodbury.

"Touchy subject, I see." Wyatt remarked, "It's alright, mate. You don't need to tell me if you don't want to. I was actually excepting to get this asnwer from you. How about I tell you something about me instead?"

"If you want to." Jose shrugged his shoulders, pretending to be not interested, but he was actually going to listen to Wyatt's story, because it would help him find more about the stranger and help him determine if he should trust him or not.

"How about I'll start with how I found out that the world was going to shit?" Wyatt suggested, earning a nod in response from Jose, "Well, mate. I found about it when I was on my way to the prison..."

Jose's head shot away from window in Wyatt's direction after hearing that, cutting the beanie wearing man off, "You were a prisoner? What did you do to get sentenced?""

"You're cautious, I can respect that. Don't worry. I wasn't tossing babies into a river. Breaking and entering." Wyatt replied, "And technically I wouldn't call myself a prisoner because I never made it to the prison in the first place."

"Let me guess." Jose theorised, "It all started when you were waiting for the trial."

"Nah. I was already sentenced when it all started." Wyatt shook his head, "I was in the prison bus when everything started going down, along with five other prisoners. There was my buddy Jonah. We both were sentenced for the same thing because we were partners in crime. There was also, Clay, Kiril, Clive, and Marcus who everyone called Triaz, because of him being some big deal in some local street gang. We were stuck in the traffic when we were starting to realize that something strange was going on. It started Clive and Kiril started arguing with each other, and the latter, started choking the former, causing one of the guards to step up."

"He started choking him?" Jose asked, titling his head to Wyatt's side, "What did this Clive say to this Kiril that it pissed him off the point that he started choking him?"

"I don't know. I was busy talking with Clay and Jonah to focus on their argument, but I gotta tell you, Clive was a real moron to piss off Kiril, that russian bastard was head taller than him and was built like a truck." Wyatt explained with a shake of his head as the memories of that situation flew through his mind, "As I was saying, one of the guards stepped out and attempted to convice Kiril to stop what he was doing, with a shotgun aimed right at his face. Kiril, that stupid bastard, didn't even respond to the guard, who knew he had to do something and hit him right in the head with the back of his shotgun, knocking him down. The next thing that the guard did was checking on Clive to see if anything happened to him, only to find out that he had lost his consciousness."

"I'm starting to see where this is going." Jose stated as an idea of what was going to happen in Wyatt now appeared in his mind.

"Yeah." Wyatt gave him a nod of confirmation, already knowing what scenario was in Jose's mind, "Clive changed into a nerd only a moment after and bit into the guards neck. The guard stumbled towards me, Jonah, Clay and Marcus, before collapsing on the ground where he bleed out to death."

Jose raised his brow at how Wyatt called the undead, "Nerd?"

"That's how I call these things." Wyatt explained, before asking, "How do you call them?"

"Muertos." Jose replied.

"Muertos, huh? I like it. Has a nice ring to it." Wyatt nodded his head, smilling before continuing his story, "The guard landed right before me and Clay, and luckilly for us, the nerd focused it's entire attention on Kiril and bit into his leg, causing him to regain his consciousness. He started screaming his lungs out in pain. Despise being the largest guy in the prison bus at the moment this still must have hurt him like hell."

"What happened to the other guard?" Jose wanted to know, "Didn't he help you?"

"Oh, I wish. Bastard ran out of the prison bus the moment Clive bit into Kiril's leg. Haven't see him since, but I hope he got what he deserved." Wyatt answered, "Being left behind to deal with Clive, I, Clay, Jonah and Marcus had to think of something. We didn't even think about helping Kiril for the obvious reasons. It was when an idea popped into Jonah's mind. A prison guard that Clive killed right after changing into one of these things had a shotgun, but things only started to get worse from th."

"More Muertos started entering the prison bus?" Jose told him the first thing that came into his mind, "I assume that the guard that left you behind left the door open."

Wyatt gave him a grim nod, "Yeah. This is exactly what happened. I, and Jonah made sure to roll the guard's body to the other side, before I picked up the shotgun. I aimed it at Clive and instantly fired it, hitting him right in the head which exploded into pieces, but as I already said, with this problem taken care of, we had other things to worry about as these freaks started slamming themselves against the door. It was just a matter of minutes before they would break the glass, which obviously wouldn't end well for all of us."

"Did you tried to shoot the chains which were stopping you from escaping through the backdoor of the prison bus?" Jose asked him another question, realizing how obvious it was right after.

"I did, and it didn't work." Wyatt explained, "It was when Jonah came to a horrible realization. Someone had to had to have his foot shoot off if we wanted to get out of that place alive. You have no idea how relieved I was that I was the one holding the shotgun, but at the same time I felt horrible because I had to choose between Jonah and Clay."

"Couldn't you just shoot off Marcus' foot?" Jose asked him another question, "I can tell that you didn't like him that much."

"Believe me, I would do it if I had a chance but the bastard was seated behind Jonah, which left him away from the shotgun's reach." Wyatt sighed to which Jose nodded his head in understanding, "I ended up choosing Clay because Jonah was my friend, but I was hard to do it anyway, because, despise barely knowing him I took a liking in Clay. He screamed in pain as I fired a shell right at his feet. His feet was still holding into his leg, so I fired again. This time, it was enough and his feet was separated from the rest of his body and I, Jonah and Marcus quickly freed ourselves from the chains."

"What did you do to Clay and Kiril?" Jose asked, "I don't think that the latter would like to have his foot shot off, despise it already being bitten."

"After we made our way to the back exit, Marcus took the shotgun from me and shoot Clay right in the head, finishing him off once and for all." Wyatt explained, "He later told me and Jonah that it was some sort of a thank you for taking the bullet for us, even though Clay didn't choose to end up like this. Kiril wasn't as fortunate though, because Marcus decided to leave him for the death. I and Jonah just went with what he said, because we didn't want to go against a guy with a gun."

Jose nodded his head at the response he got from Wyatt, "What did you do after that?"

"We stick around Marcus and joined the group that he formed once everything went to shit." Wyatt answered, "We were pretty much what would you except from a group mostly made of criminals. We were doing pretty good, but everything started falling down when we came across a group of people that called themselves "The Living". They were led by some guy named Harlan, but that's the story for another time."

"What happened to Jonah?" Jose wanted to know, "I assume that he's not alive if he's not here with you."

"Yeah." Wyatt nodded his head in confirmation, sadly, a sigh escaping his lungs, "He died over two months ago when our group was in the war with Harlan's group. One of these things took him by suprise and bit him in the shoulder. He asked me to end his life. The last thing he wanted was becoming one of those things and I made sure that it didn't happen."

Jose bits his lips, realizing how similiar it was to the situation when he had to kill Carlos to prevent him from becoming the undead. It made him feel a tiny bit of sympathy towards Wyatt, "Sorry to hear that."

"Yeah. Me too." Wyatt said in a saddened manner, "His death was the reason why I left Marcus' group. I realized that everything was falling apart and the least thing I wanted to do was getting myself killed. I too whatever I needed, then I took this baby here and drove off, never looking back."

"Do you know what happened to your old group?" Jose asked.

"No. As I said, I never looked back." Wyatt shook his head. He turned his head to the right and felt how a small smile formed on his lips, "Look over there, mate. There's my house."

Jose followed Wyatt's gaze as his new companion pulled the vehicle up to an old petrol station which Wyatt mentioned earlier. The spanish man didn't really knew what to except from this place. Time has certainly taken it's tool on this place, but it looked much better than many other buildings he had slept in since Woodbury's destruction. It was probably because there was someone residing in this place.

Wyatt parked his pickup in it's parking spot and the two men got themselves out of the vehicle before walking towards the entrance to the petrol station. Wyatt pushed the door open and turned around to see Jose standing next to the parked pickup, looking like he was having second thoughts about entering this place.

"C'mon, mate. I thought I made it clear that If I wanted to kill you and take your stuff then I would just ran you over with my baby here." He assured Jose that he was not going to hurt him once he noticed Jose's suspicious gaze, "Right now I'm a man who is simply just looking for some company. I didn't really had anyone to talk to since I left Marcus' group after Jonah's death."

With that, Wyatt entered the petrol station, leaving Jose outside. The spanish man remained outside for a few more seconds before following Wyatt and entering the petrol station. He started looking around the petrol station the moment he entered it. Wyatt might have not given him a reason to not trust him, yet but the spanish man decided to not lower his guard.

"You can look around if you want to." Wyatt said as Jose turned to look at the beanie wearing man, who was sitting on the chair, "I won't mind as long as I won't catch you stealing my stuff."

Jose nodded his head and started his little trip around Wyatt's place. One of the first things he spotted was a loaded AK47 which was laying on the counter. He still didn't trust Wyatt completely, but there was one thing that he was certain about. He was sure wouldn't have to sleep in the tent that night and sleeping with a roof above his head was much better than sleeping outside, right?

Jose stared at his reflection in the mirror and scratched his cheek as he had just finished shaving his beard off. Wyatt offered him to use his stuff to shave it off if he wanted to get rid of it and Jose accepted his offer because he wouldn't call himself a big fan of his beard. He stared at his reflection for a few more seconds before turning away from the mirror and pushing the door open.

He walked out of the room, making sure to lock the doors behind him. The first thing he saw after locking the doors was Wyatt who was staring ahead of himself at the window in front of him which were showing darkened sky of the night on the other side, an opened can of food in his right hand and a half emptied bottle of water standing on the floor next to his right leg.

Wyatt turned to look at him, and spoke up to him in a joking manner, "There you are, mate. I was starting to think you lost your consciousness in there."

Jose rolled his eyes at Wyatt's comment, "You were wrong as you probably already noticed."

"Oh, I did notice, believe me, I did." Wyatt grinned, as he pointed at the counter. Jose looked at the counter and saw an opened can of beens on it, "I prepared some food. Thought you might be hungry."

Jose approached the counter and picked up the can. He reached into it and pulled out a few beans. He placed them in his mouth and swallowed. He nodded his head to himself. It wasn't the best thing he ever tasted, but he wasn't going to complain about it. He continued to eat from the can for the next few minutes until it was completely emptied.

He placed his now empty can on the counter in the exact same spot from which he took it and turned to look at Wyatt who just like him just finished eating his dinner. The beanie wearing man threw his now empty can aside and it landed a few meters away from him. Wyatt simply shrugged his shoulders to that, not caring that he was making mess.

"You know what?" Wyatt let out a chuckle right after his can landed on the floor, "Before all of this started, I never thought that canned food will become my favourite food."

"Why?" Jose asked him.

Wyatt shrugged, "Because I always preferred instant noodle over canned food. I was always buying instant noodle over canned food when I had to choose between either of those things. What about you?"

"I never really ate either of those things. I was mostly going to the restaurant or had food prepared by someone else." Jose replied, "It of course changed after all of this started."

"Lucky you." Wyatt said, "I was mostly eating frozen things and those weren't very good."

"I can imagine." Jose said as he leaned against the counter, his arms crossed.

Wyatt stood up from his seat and approached Jose. He stopped next to him and leaned against the counter, next to the spanish man and reached down to his holstered pistol and pulled it out.

"Nice one, right? Want to know how I got it?" He asked the spanish man, showing his pistol off to him. Wyatt has proven himself to be a person that really enjoyed talking with the others. It must have been a long time since he had someone to talk to, "I got it from the first person that I killed back when I was hanging out with Marcus'."

"What?" Jose wanted to know why Wyatt would share this information with him, feeling how his hand almost reached down to his holstered pistol, "Why would you tell me this?"

"Because I want you to know with what kind of person you're dealing with." Wyatt explained, "If you are considering staying here, then I think that you deserve to know about this."

Jose kept his suprised gaze on Wyatt. He was not excepting this kind of honestly from him. He knew was not the one to judge him. This entire thing made him a killer too. There was Courtney, Terry and... he actually had lost the count of how many people he killed.

"It was not long after this entire thing started after I and Jonah decided to stay with Marcus and his goons." Wyatt began, "There was a group of a few families living not too far from our territory and a few of them stepped into it, searching for supplies. We caught them and Marcus ordered us to give those families a message to stay out of our territory."

"What did you do?" Jose asked as a few scenarios flew through his mind.

"We stabbed them to the death and showed their bodies to their friends and families, telling them to stay out of our territory." Wyatt replied, "The first person I've ever killed was a woman from that group and this pistol belonged to her, or at least it used to. She was begging me to not do it. That she wanted to see her daughter again, but I didn't listen to a single word she said to me and just followed the orders that Marcus gave me."

"Do you regret it?" Jose asked him, "Killing her?"

"At first I did, but I woke up the next day and felt nothing. The feelings that I had after I killed her were completely gone." Wyatt responded, "The months passed and our group started attacking more people that were either unfortunate enough to step into our territory or dumb enough to attack us and I remember every single person that died by my hands. I can easily say that I killed at least 16 people. This new world turned me into a murderer, but to be honest, everything that I did, I would do it all again, because I did what I had to do to survive."

"Don't worry. I'm not going to judge you. This new world turned me into a murderer too. This new world turned a lot of people into one because people are ready to do whatever it takes to survive or to keep for their friends and loved ones safe, or both, even if it means killing another human being." Jose placed his right hand on Wyatt's shoulder, "The first person I've killed was my older brother Carlos. He was bitten and asked me to end his life because he didn't want to become one of those things. I didn't want to do it, but it was my brother's final request and I had to fullfil it."

"Damn." Wyatt looked at Jose with sympathy, "I'm sorry to hear that. I know that my words will probably mean nothing to you, considering we just met, but I think I know what you must have gone through when it happened. I and Jonah may have not be blood brothers, but he became one to me."

Jose nodded his head to Wyatt's words, "I was on my own after his death and I can easily say that it was the lowest point of my life. Everything changed for the better after I was found by a man who helped me and brought me to the people he was with and not long after that we formed our own community. I finally had a place to go, a place to call my home."

"You created a community?" Wyatt wanted to be sure if he didn't misheard it as Jose nodded in confirmation. The beanie wearing man smiled, "Wow. You can color me impressed."

"As the time passed, more people started joining our community and everything was going great. People were safe and sometimes, we were even forgetting how the world looks like out there." Jose continued, "Everything started falling apart when a group of survivors came into the picture. One of them was my other brother Alejandro."

Wyatt looked shocked to hear that, "What? You had to go against your own brother?"

"Yes." Jose nodded in confirmation, "I was loyal to the man who saved my life and he was loyal to the people he was with."

"Shit." Wyatt shook his head, "Sorry to hear that. I can't believe how hard it must have been to you."

"It all fell apart over three weeks ago and our settlement was burned to the ground." Jose continued, deciding to do the shorter part of the story, "Not long after that, I got separated rom the few survivors that I was left with and I've been on my own ever since."

"What would you do to these people if you had a chance to get revenge?" Wyatt asked him, "Because If I had the chance to take out the guy who caused Jonah's death, then I wouldn't hesitate. I would gladly make him pay for what he did to Jonah."

"The guy who caused Jonah's death?" Jose repeated what Wyatt just said, "I thought your friend was bitten?"

"He was." Wyatt confirmed, "But someone from Harlan's group let the nerds, one of which bit Jonah, into our the place where we were looking for supplies. I have no idea who came up with this idea, but I hope that they got a long painful death."

Jose nodded his head at Wyatt's explanation, now understanding what the beanie wearing man meant. He scratched the back of his head before answering to Wyatt's earlier question, "My answer is the same as yours. I wouldn't hesitate to make those people pay if I ever got the chance to do so."

"Even if it means killing that other brother of yours?" Wyatt wanted to know.

Jose was silent for a few seconds before replying, "...If he was still loyal to the group that I mentioned, then yes. I still wouldn't hesitate to make them pay if I got the chance to do so even if it meant killing him."

Wyatt let out a bittersweet sigh, noticing how the mood became much grimmer, "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have asked this question. I think I have something that will lighten the mood a little."

The beanie wearing man made his way to the other side of the counter and reached under the counter, pulling out a whiskey bottle. He held it out to Jose, asking him if he wanted a sip and Jose accepted his offer. The spanish man took the bottle from Wyatt and took a sip of whiskey before handing it back to Wyatt who didn't waste time and took a sip too.

Wyatt and Jose continued their conversation for the next hour but decided to switch it from the rather grim topic which started it into something else. They talked about their past lives back when the world was normal, and even talked about the better moments they had after it turned into what it is today. Jose had to admit one thing to himself as the continued his conversation with Wyatt. It was actually kind of nice to have someone to talk to again.

Their conversation lasted a little over an hour. The two men decided to end it because they had to go to sleep. Tommorow was another day. Wyatt walked over to his sleeping bag which was laying on the floor and turned to look at Jose after reaching it, "You can stay here if you want to. I've been on my own since Jonah's death and it would nice to have someone to talk to again."

"I'll consider it." Jose replied, "I'll let you know tommorow if I'll stick around."

Wyatt smiled at him and nodded his head, "Alright."

It's been a while since Jose decided to stick around Wyatt and if he was honest with himself, he wasn't regretting his decision, not one bit. Wyatt has proven himself to be trustworthy and a capable survivor who had what it takes to survive in this world. He ended up taking a liking in the beanie wearing man, despise finding his talkive personality a bit annoying at first, but he eventually had gotten used to it.

The two men were sitting around the table, facing each other as they were in the middle of a meal. They were still living in the petrol station, but were thinking about leaving it and moving to another place for a while now, mostly because it was harder for them to find any supplies in the areas they've been usually scouting.

Their attention was taken away from their meal when someone firing their guns outside of their home. The two men were instantly alarmed by it and quickly moved to the counter to pick up their weapons, in case if whoever was firing those guns was going to attack them. Jose grabbed his M4A1 and quickly grabbed his AK47, ready to use them at any moment and moved over to the front window of the petrol station.

The two men glanced through the front window of their home and saw two people, a blond haired woman and a younger blond haired man fighting off the undead. Wyatt's eyes widened when he set his gaze on the woman, which Jose failed to notice, at least for now. Jose made sure to eye the people who just appeared on the street out of nowhere, before turning to look at Wyatt and nodding his head at him, earning a nod of understanding from his beanie wearing friend.

The undead surrounded the woman and the man as Jose and Wyatt walked out of the petrol station and ran over the strangers and the undead that were surrounding them. The two men opened fire and started gunning down the undead, making sure to not hit any of the strangers and it was just a matter of seconds before all of the the undead died, one by one.

The two men reloaded their weapons but didn't lower them, yet because at first they had to make sure that the people they just saved were not going to try to do anything to them.

"Thank you so much for helping us." The woman spoke up to them in a very grateful tone, starting to walk towards them with the younger man, "I was starting to think it's over for us after those things surrounded us."

"Who are you?" Jose asked them, being cautious as the strangers approached him and Wyatt.

"I'm Monica." The older woman introduced herself and pointed at the younger man standing next to her, "This is my little brother Trevor."

Trevor offered them a small wave, "Hi there."

"I'm Jose." Jose introduced himself, turning to look at Wyatt, excepting him to introduce himself but his friend remained silent because was busy staring at at Monica. The spanish man rolled his eyes at what his friend was doing and introduced him, "This one here is Wyatt."

Monica nodded her head at Jose and Wyatt, "It's nice to meet you both."

"Likewise." Wyatt offered Monica a small greeting smile, "What are you doing here?"

"We were on the supply and our car got overrun in the middle of the forest." Monica began as she pointed at the forest behind her, "We ran for a few minutes before you guys showed up."

"More like for a few minutes before you appeared in front of our home." Jose corrected her.

"You two live in here?" Trevor pointed at the petrol station behind Jose and Wyatt, before realizing how obvious this question was. He gave the two men a sheepish look and rubbed the back of his head, "Right. Obvious question. Sorry."

"We do." Wyatt nodded in confirmation, "At least at this moment because we're planning to move out soon."

"Why?" Monica asked.

"The answer is quite obvious, senorita. Supplies are becoming harder to find." Jose explaned as he turned around towards the entrance to the petrol station, followed by Wyatt doing the same thing, "Feel free to have a look around the areas around us, but trust us, it will be hard to find anything useful."

"...Hey!" Monica's voice called out for Jose and Wyatt after a moment when they were about to enter the petrol station, making the two men stop and turn around to look at her, "If you're planning to leave this place, then how about you'll come with us? I think we have a place you may like."

"What do you mean?" Wyatt asked, as he and Jose turned around to look at Monica and Trevor again.

"Me and Trevor are from the survivor camp." Monica responded, "We can take you there if you want to. You'll like it there. We have food, water, people who can take care of themselves and our leader is a good man."

"You may believe me or not but we even a tank." Trevor added.

"A tank?" Jose wanted to be sure if he didn't misheard.

Monica nodded in confirmation, "Yes. We even have people who know how to use it."

"Why are you telling us this? We only exchanged a few words with each other. How do you know you can trust us?" Jose wanted to know as Wyatt turned to look at his friend, understanding why he was being so cautious with Monica and Trevor. After all, it was the same way how he acted when he met him on the road all this time ago and offered to bring him to his home.

"Because if you wanted to kill us, then we wouldn't be talking right now." Monica replied, "You would have either left us to die or kill us along with those things if you wanted to do anything to us."

Jose shared quick look with Wyatt before replying, "Give us a few minutes to discuss it."

"Of course. Take all the time you need." Monica nodded her head, smilling, "We will wait for you here."

The two men turned away from Monica and Trevor and entered the petrol station where they begun discussing if they should go with them to their camp or not. They ultimately decided trust Monica and Trevor and let them take them to their camp because their offer seemed to be genuine. They walked out of the petrol station and informed Monica and Trevor that they accept their offer.

They spend the next few moments packing everything they had onto the trunk of Wyatt's pickup. It didn't took them that long because they had Monica's and Trevor's help and didn't had that much supplies to pack in the first time. Lack of supplies was the other reason why Jose and Wyatt were planning to leave the petrol station and head out to find another place to live.

Not wanting to leave anything useful behind, the group of four walked back into the petrol station and made sure that they didn't miss anything before getting themselves into the pickup. Wyatt hopped into the driver's seat as Jose, Monica and Trevor jumped onto the trunk before the beanie wearing man started up the vehicle and started driving in the direction that Monica and Trevor told him to go.

It took them about an hour to make it to Monica's and Trevor's camp and during this time Jose conversed with the two people that he and Wyatt had met today and had gotten to know a bit more about them.

All four of them got out of the pickup and Monica and Trevor started leading Jose and Wyatt through the camp, intending to bring them to their leader and tell him that the two men that they brought to their camp saved their butts from the undead. Jose and Wyatt felt how some of the people in the camp were sending them suspicious look but the two men shrugged it off, understanding that these people were just being cautious.

Unfortunely Jose and Wyatt didn't get to meet the leader right after Monica and Trevor brought them to where he was usually spending his free time because he happened to be on the supply run with a few other people from the camp, but luckily for them, they didn't had to wait long for him to return to the camp because he returned only several minutes later.

Jose felt how his eyes widened in pure shock when Monica and Trevor introduced him and Wyatt to their leader because it was when two familiar people appeared in his view. He couldn't believe his eyes because he was certain that he'll never seen these two people ever again.

The Governor and Martinez were here.

The twe men he got separated from a while ago were standing right in front of him. They were alive. But where was Shumpert? He'll have to ask them once he'll get the opportunity to talk with them in private. The Governor and Martinez looked at him and seemed to be shocked to see him as much as he was shocked to see them.

"I'll be dammed." Martinez broke the silence between them as he shifted his gaze between Jose and the Governor, "This wasn't how I was excepting this day to turn out."

"Wait a second." Wyatt looked at Jose, "You know each other?"

"Yes." Jose pointed at the Governor and Martinez, "These two are from my old group that I told you about."

"So you've been on the road all this time?" Martinez asked Jose.

"For the first few weeks, yes." Jose replied, "But then I came across Wyatt here and he offered me to stay with him in his home which happened to be an abandoned petrol station."

"They saved our lives." Monica explained, "These things surrounded us and Jose and Wyatt rushed out to help us without second thoughts. We told them that we can take them to our camp shorty after that."

Martinez turned to look at Monica and Trevor and nodded his head at her, before turning to look at Jose and Wyatt again, "Why did you decided to leave our home?"

"We were planning to move out to another place anyway." Jose responded, "The areas around us were running out of supplies."

Martinez nodded his head at Jose's answer before saying, "If you want to stay here, there's two things you got to accept. One, I'm in charge. Two, no deadweight. That goes for everyone."

"Martinez no." One of Martnez's friends said, "We already got too many mouths to feed, not to mention you just invited these four to our camp."

Ignoring what his friend just said, Martinez asked Jose, "So? What do you think, Jose? Will you accept those two things?"

"You know me, Martinez." Jose nodded, "You know that I'm far away from being a deadweight."

"Same here." Wyatt nodded his head, "You may not know me, but trust me. I will gladly work with all the people in your camp to earn my keep."

Jose and Wyatt spend the rest of the day settling down in Martinez's camp and Monica and Trevor made sure to introduce them to every resident of the said camp. A few of the people that the two men were introduced to by Monica and Trevor were the Chambler sisters, Tara and Lilly who arrived at the camp in the exact same day as Jose and Wyatt did, Lilly's daughter Meghan and Monica's closest friend, Alisha who used to be an army reserve before the world became what it is today.

Jose also learned what happened with Shumpert. He was dead. He asked Martinez what happened to him to which Martinez replied that Shumpert let himself get bitten by the undead because he couldn't take it anymore. Jose was a bit saddened by this news because he liked Shumpert but didn't mourn his death for long because he knew that there was nothing he could do to change it.

The day after Jose and Wyatt became a part of Martinez's camp and the former reunited with the two people from his old group, the two men were going out on a supply run along with Martinez, the Governor, the two brothers who introduced themselves Mitch and Pete.

"How's the fishing?" The Governor asked, walking through the forest with Jose, Martinez, Wyatt, Mitch and Pete.

"There isn't any." Pete replied, "Pond's dead. We still got rabbits, skunks, some possum out here, though."

"It's still better than nothing." Jose stated, walking next to Wyatt.

Pete nodded, "Yeah."

"You sure we're headed in the right direction?" Mitch asked Martinez, catching up to the leader of his camp.

"If Howard's map is right." Martinez replied, looking down at the unfolded map in his hands.

"We should have dragged his ass out here to make sure." Mitch stated.

"He's an old man." Pete pointed out, "He can barely walk."

"That's why I said dragged." Mitch told his brother, "Hope this is worth it."

"Supposedly this guy was a survivalist type." Martinez explained, "His cabin might have stuff we can use."

"Hell, maybe he's still alive." Wyatt said.

Jose shook his head, "I won't keep my fingers crossed, amigo."

The group continued conversing with each other for the next few minutes. They stopped when Mitch noticed the Governor separating himself from the rest of the group, with his pistol in ready. He must have notice something. Martinez, Jose, Pete, Mitch and Wyatt followed him and it wasn't long before a beheaded corpse tied up to a tree, with a sign that said "Liar" placed on it's chest appeared in their view.

"What the hell is this?" Pete asked, staring at the corpse in disbelief.

"Poor bastard must have screwed with the wrong people." Wyatt shook his head.

"Best to not think about it." Martinez stated as he turned away from the corpse and started walking towards their destination again, "Let's go."

Martinez, Jose, the Governor, Wyatt, Mitch and Pete continued to walk towards their destination for quite some time now. The group of six came out of the forest and entered a field with tall grass. They walked through the field for a few moments before an old jeep with a cabin standing behind it came into their view. This must have been the place they were making their way to ever since they left the camp.

They walked past the jeep and approached the entrance to the porch of the cabin. Martinez pushed it open and walked through it, followed by everyone else from his group. The first thing that they spotted upon entering it was a lifeless body of a man. The body had a bullet hole between it's eyes and there was a machine rifle laying next to the body.

"Took himself out." Pete stated.

"You think he's the one who 'd those military guys?" Wyatt asked.

"He still has his head." Jose replied as the Governor crouched down in front of the body and picked up a picture of a man and his family, "Some of it, anyway."

"...Let's see what he's got inside." Martinez said after a few seconds of staring at the corpse.

He pushed the door open and took a quick peek inside as Peter slammed his weapon against the doorway, wanting to check if there were any walkers inside. There was one and it seemed that it was trapped somewhere in the house because it was slamming itself against the door or the wall. Everyone readied their weapons before entering the cabin, with the Governor being the first one to enter and everyone else following him. The group of six walked together through the house, searching through it and making sure that it was completely safe to move around it without having to keep your guard up.

When they reached the room from which the sound of a walker slamming itself against the door or the wall came from, they started looking around it, hoping to find the undead and take care of it but much to their confusion, the walker was nowhere to be seen. It wasn't long before they found out where the walker was hiding, though as it came out of the shadows and leaped itself at Pete, wrapping it's hands around him.

"Get it off of me!" Pete cried out for help, trying to shake the walker off of him, "Get it off of me!"

The Governor quickly walked over to Peter and freed him the undead's grasp. He grabbed the undead by it's shirt and threw it on the floor as Pete collapsed on the floor. The Governor knelt down in front of the walker that he just threw on the ground and brought the back of his pistol down on it's head a few times, killing it off for good.

Pete was about to get himself back on his feet but stopped himself from doing so when he spotted two heads laying underneath the bed. He quickly crawled himself away from the bed, not wanting to be anywhere near the heads as another walker came out of the shadows and attacked Martinez. He thankfully managed to push it away from him before it did any harm to him.

Jose pulled out his knife, ready to use it at any moment as the walker that just attacked Martinez started moving towards him. The spanish man grabbed the undead by it's collar with his free hand and pressed it against the wall. He placed the knife in it's stomach before pulling it out and stabbing it again, but time in it's head which killed the undead.

He pulled his knife out of it's head as the walker slided down the wall. He focused his entire attention on the sliding body because it reminded him of the time where he stabbed Courtney which ultimately resulted in her demise. He shook his head, deciding not to think about before turning around to look at the group, offering them a nod of his head.

Later that night, the group was still in the house, deciding to spend the night there because it was too late for them to return to their camp. The group was split up around the house. Jose, Wyatt, Pete and Mitch were searching through the rooms, hoping to find something worth taking back to the camp with them, Martinez was putting some wood in the fireplace after starting the fire in it while the Governor was watching him from his seat.

"If it was just you in that pit, I wouldn't have brought you into the camp. If it weren't for the people you were with... the girl..." Martinez said as he stood up from his kneeling position in front of the fireplace and walked over to the seat next to the Governor. He sat down on it and looked at his former leader, "You seem different now. Changed. Are you?"

The Governor was silent for a few seconds before nodding his head, "I am."

"Good." Martinez nodded in return

"Amigos." Jose's voice ran through their ears as the spanish man entered the room with Wyatt, Pete and Mitch, the latter holding a box filled with supplies. He sat down on the free chair, "I have to say, it was worth coming here."

"Exactly." Mitch nodded in agreement, taking his seat on the free chair as Wyatt and Pete sat down on the floor. He placed the box on the table and pulled out six cans of beer, "We got some canned food and even got some beer."

"Oh, yes." Wyatt grinned, "Give one one, please."

"Coming right up, bud." Mitch smirked as he tossed each person in the cabin a can of beer.

Pete opened his can of beer and took a quick sip before asking, "Man, what happened here? I mean, what the hell was going on in this cabin? Was he storing those biters?"

Martinez looked at him, "They were his wife and kid, man."

"No, they were biters." Pete shook his head, "What about those heads?"

"Probably belonged to the guys who did the wrong thing to the wrong man." Jose theorised.

"Yeah." Pete nodded, "Probably."

The Governor placed his can of beer on the table, not wanting to drink anything now, "Probably best not to think too much about it."

"Better listen to One Eye Bri, Pete." Mitch agreed with the Governor, "I can never tell if he's winking or blinking. But you know how to regulate, don't you, Bri? He was always like this, Martinez? Jose?"

"Oh, yeah." Martinez responded as Jose nodded in confirmation, "Ice in the veins. You should have seen him back in the day."

"What about you fellas, huh?" The Governor quickly changed the subject of the conversation, "What did you do before it all changed?"

"I was... I was an ice cream truck driver." Mitch let out a short laugh, "Till I upgraded my life and I became a tank operator for the US Army. Then when everything went tits up, I got the hell out and took my ride with me. End of the world don't mean shit when you got a tank."

"I was in army too." Pete replied, "Stationed out of Fort Benning. Stayed for a while after it all started."

"That's my Pete." Mitch nodded his head at his brother, "He's too loyal to bounce."

"I was doing some modeling work." Jose decided to add his part to the conversation,

"Are you trying to say that you just had to smile for the camera and people were actually paying you good money for it?" Mitch wanted to be sure if he didn't misheard it.

Jose laughed, "You can say that."

Martinez let out a short laugh at the memory that flew through his head, "You have no idea how suprised people back in our camp were when one of us found a magazine with him on the cover on the supply run."

"Lucky bastard. Talk about easy money." Mitch snorted, "What about you Wyatt?"

"I was a bartender at a local bar." Wyatt replied before thinking to himself, "Or at least I was before I was arrested."

"One of the reasons why you like to talk so much?" Jose asked his friend with a grin on his forming on his lips.

"Yeah." Wyatt nodded in confirmation, grinning.

Pete turned look at the Governor, "What about you, Brian? What did you do when it all went bad?"

The Governor's answer was quick and short, "I survived."

The next day, the Governor, Jose, Wyatt, Lilly, Tara, Martinez, Meghan, Alisha, Monica and Trevor were sitting around the table under an umbrella, eating breakfast, drinking and having fun. Everyone werre doing their best to contain their laughter as Martinez was telling them a funny story from his life before the world turned into what it is now.

Tara laughed as she pointed at Martinez, "Wait, your father was a Catholic priest?"

"That's right." Martinez nodded in confirmation.

"So the father became a daddy?" Monica joked, earning some laughs from the others.

"It caused some problems with the Church a little bit." Martinez smiled.

"Yeah." Wyatt chuckled, "I can tell."

"This is all stuff Brian and Jose heard before." Martinez shifted his gaze between the two said men, "We spent a lot of time out there together."

"You've done all right here." Lilly said to Martinez, "I mean this camp. It's the first time I've felt safe since all this started."

"The place Brian, Jose and I lived before kind of worked. I guess I wanted that again." Martinez explained.

"Sounds like your old camp was pretty sweet." Tara stated.

Jose smiled and nodded, "It was."

"You guys had walls, right?" Alisha wanted to be sure.

"Yeah." Jose nodded in confirmation, "We built them ourselves."

"It was a good place." Martinez said to which Jose nodded in agreement.

"This place is good, too, right?" Meghan asked him.

Martinez smiled at the girl, "You know it."

"I want to hear all about it someday." Lilly said as she looked at the Governor, "Brian won't say a word."

"I say leave the past in the past." The Governor said, grabbing all the used plates.

"Well, for the first time in a long time, I'm shitfaced." Tara declared.

Lilly looked at her with unamused look on her face, "Tara."

"Sorry." Tara apologized as she turned to look at her niece, "Meghan. Don't say that, okay?"

"You want to get out of here?" Alisha asked Tara as Meghan laughed at Tara's answer.

"Yeah." Tara nodded as she stood up from her seat and held her hand out to Martinez, "Double thanks for the suds."

Martinez bumped her fist, "Yeah."

"We'll have to go too." Monica said as she stood up from her seat, followed by her brother, "We have to check the traps we set up in the forest."

"Mind if I come with you?" Wyatt asked her.

Monica asked, "No. You're free to join us if you want to."

Trevor looked at Jose, "What about you?"

Jose shrugged, standing up from his seat "I have nothing else to do anyway."

Lilly stood up from her seat and started helping the Governor in taking the dirty plates and the empty beer dirty off the table while everyone else headed out to do whatever they had planned for the day.

The next day, the entire camp was gathered in one place, because they were told to come here by Mitch and Pete who had an important announcement to make. Jose stood with Wyatt, Monica, Trevor, the Governor, Lilly, Tara, Meghan and Alisha as Mitch and Pete walked over to the residents of this camp and made sure that everyone was present.

"Listen up! We found what was left of Martinez in a pit this morning." Pete declared, as the entire crowd started muttering among themselves at the revelation they got for him. Jose turned to look at the Governor, eyeing him with a suspicious look on his face, "Looks like he was hitting some golf balls, he got drunk, he fell in."

"So what now?" Monica asked as she stood between her brother and Wyatt.

"I'm taking leadership of the camp." Pete declared as he stepped forward. The crowd started voicing their disagreement with this decision as he held his hands up in the air to calm them down, "Hold on! Hold on, now."

"We should vote on who leads, right?" An old guy said, as the rest of the camp started voicing their agreement.

"You can't just take over." Tara stated.

Mitch glared at her, "Shut your mouth, you little bitch."

"What?" Tara stepped towards him, with Alisha following her as the crowd was starting to go crazy.

"Hey! Calm down! Calm down all of you!" Pete shushed everyone, "We need each other now more than ever. The only way we get through this, through any of this, is together. Now this is temporary. We'll find some kind of way to do a vote in the next couple of days. For now, it's business as usual. Okay?"

When the crowd remained where they stood, Mitch yelled out, "You heard the man. Move!"

The crowd started dispersed as Pete approached the Governor, Jose and Wyatt, "Gear up, you three. We're going on a hunt."

The Governor, Jose, Wyatt, Pete and Mitch were walking through the forest, with Pete, Jose, Wyatt and Mitch walking in the front of the group and the Governor walking in the back. Jose turned around to look at the Governor who was walking behind him and decided to stop for a second and let him catch up to him, wanting to talk with him about what happened to Martinez.

Wyatt turned to loo at Jose and noticed that his his friend stopped out of the sudden, "You're not coming?"

"Give me a moment, amigo." Jose replied, "I'll catch up to you."

Jose eyed his surroundings to make sure that no one was paying attention him, as the Governor catched up to him, now walking next to him. The spanish man didn't waste time and whispered to him, "I assume that you had something to do with Martinez's passing."

The Governor turned to look at him, whispering back, "Are you going to do something about it?"

"No." The spanish young man shook his head, "I want to know one thing. Is this thing that you're planning related to the prison?"

"It is." The Governor confirmed Jose's suspicions with a nod of his head.

"Then I want to be a part of this." Jose said, without hesitation in his voice, "Our community started falling apart the moment they came into the picture. I want them to pay. I want them to know how it feels when some people just appear out of nowhere and destroy everything you worked so hard to built."

"Hey." Mitch's voice called out for them, causing the Governor and Jose to turn to look at him, Wyatt and Pete.

The Governor and Jose ran over to him and and the rest and knelt down when they saw a camp of at least ten people. It was quite easy for them to say that these people had a lot of food.

"How many?" Jose asked.

"Ten." Mitch replied, "Maybe less, but they got a lot of supplies?"

"Maybe we should let them in?" Pete suggested.

"Are you crazy?" Mitch asked his brother, "We barely got enough to go around as it is. Look, Pete, I know you don't want to hurt nobody. Neither do I, but we need those supplies. Now let's just go over there and take what we need and go home. No rough stuff."

"You want to rob them?" Pete wanted to be sure if this was exactly what his brother was suggesting.

"Why not?" Mitch asked him in return, "We need their stuff. They got guns, but if we roll up on 'em quick"

"No." Pete stick with his decision. He stood up and started walking away from the camp, "No, we can find our own supplies. Come on."

He walked away from the camp that he and the others just found as Mitch stared at his brother for a few seconds before standing up from his kneeling positon and following his brother. Wyatt followed the two brothers shorty after as Jose and the Governor exchanged a look with each other before following the rest of the group.

Later that day, the group of five was walking back to their camp. They didn't do so bad. They found a few squireels and some condensed milk, but still didn't change the fact that it wasn't enough to feed the entire camp.

Mitch shook his head, "What a joke."

"We did all right." Pete said.

Mitch showed off the squirells to his brother, "Yeah, a couple of damn squirrels, some condensed milk."

"What do you want from me?" Pete asked his brother, raising his voice a bit, "I'm trying here."

The Governor turned back and something caught his attention in the distance. He turned away from the rest of the group and started walking towards it. Jose, Wyatt, Pete and Mitch instantly noticed this and followed the Governor who led them to the camp that they found earlier that day. It was raided and all of the people were dead.

"Son of a bitch!" Mitch shouted, throwing the squirrels on the ground in anger.

"This wasn't muertos." Jose remarked, eyeing the destroyed camp, "People did this. Must have happened just happened."

"We would have had those supplies." Wyatt shook his head to which Mitch nodded in agreement while he was angrily searching through the camp, hoping that something was left behind.

"You're worried about supplies?" Pete couldn't believe his ears, "These people are dead, guys."

"You're damn right they're dead!" Mitch shouted, "That was gonna happen either way. Now some other group's got our stuff."

Everyone stopped what they were doing when they noticed that one of the people from the camp was alive. The guy raised his hand in the air, moaning in pain as Mitch pulled out his knife and went over to the wounded man, with the obvious intention of finishing him off.

"Mitch, no!" Pete tried to stop his brother but it was too late. Mitch stabbed the wounded man in the head, killing him, "He might have lived."

"Might have." Mitch said, walking away. Pete watched his brother leave for a second before picking up the squireels and following his brother, with Wyatt following him shorty after. Jose and the Governor exchanged another look with each other before following their group.

"My offer from earlier is still up. I want those people from the prison to pay." Jose whispered to the Governor, "What do you want me to do?"

The Governor responded by turning to look at Pete. Jose instantly understood what the Governor meant by that. Pete might have been a good man but he was too weak to lead those people. He was not strong enough to make the tough decisions to provide for his people.

The next morning Jose shook his head with a small smirk on his face at the view of his Wyatt and Monica sleeping next to each other on the former's bed, cuddling before walking out the trailer that was given to him and his beanie wearing friend upon their arrival at this camp. He made his way to Pete's trailer and knocked on the doors.

"We need to talk, amigo." He informed Pete right after the said man opened the doors.

"About Mitch." Pete said, understanding why Jose came here to talk with him. He moved out of the doorway, allowing Jose to enter his trailer. Jose entered the trailer and made sure to lock the doors behind him as Pete spoke up, "I knew this was coming. I've been getting him out of trouble my..."

He was cut off by Jose who placed his hand over his mouth and stabbed him in the back. Pete let out a muffle painful scream as Jose pulled his knife out of his back and threw him on the floor. Pete let out a painful grunt as Jose sat down on his back and wrapped his arm around his neck, beginning to choke him. He didn't let go off Pete's neck until the man stopped moving.

He placed his hand on Pete's neck, looking for pulse but finding none. He stood up and grabbed Pete's body by the shoulder, beginning to drag it towards the exit from the trailer as the Governor opened the doors.

"Is it done?" The Governor asked him.

"Yes." Jose replied, "I'm heading out to dispose the body right now."

"Remember where we agreed to leave it? The Governor wanted to be sure if Jose remembered about it.

"Yes. The lake." Jose answered, "What about Mitch?"

"I'll stay in this camp and talk with him." The Governor replied, "I'll decide what we should do with him once I'll take with him."

Jose nodded his head in response as he dragged Pete's body out of the trailer. The Governor grabbed Pete's body by it's legs and helped Jose to bring it to Wyatt's pickup, wanting to get rid of it as fast as they could. They placed the body on the trunk before parting ways. Jose got himself into Wyatt's truck and started it up, before driving out of the camp to get rid of Pete's body as the Governor made his way to Mitch's trailer.

The Governor knocked on the doors and Mitch opened them a few seconds later. He looked down at the Governor who pulled out his pistol and aimed it at him, motioning for him to move out of his way and let him enter the trailer. Mitch did as he was told and the Governor entered his trailer, making sure to lock the doors behind him.

The Governor sat down on the seat as Mitch sat down on the couch, asking the one eyed man, "...Where's Pete?"

"He's dead." The Governor replied, "Jose killed him after we agreed that it had to be done."

Mitch angrily stood up and glared down at the Governor, "You gonna kill me, too, now? Huh? For the old guy at the camp?" The Governor remained silent and motioned for him to get back on his seat and Mitch complied, not wanting to get shoot. He spoke up again to the one eyed man, but this time, he sounded like he was close to crying, "Why did you do that to my brother?"

"You were right about that camp." The Governor began, "We should have taken their supplies. I don't care that you killed the old man. Men like your brother, always doing the right thing, even at the cost of their own people. I and Jose will do everything it takes to protect this camp. Now, if you join us, I promise you you will never have to worry about whether you were doing the right thing or the wrong thing. Because we will do the only thing."

Mitch was silent for a few moments, debating with himself if he should join the Governor and Jose. He eventually nodded his head, making his decision, "...What are we going to tell the camp about Pete?"

"We'll tell them he died on a supply run saving our asses." The Governor replied.

"You think they're really gonna believe it?" Mitch asked him another question.

"People believe what they want to believe." The Governor answered, "Everybody loves a hero."

Jose have returned to the camp shorty after and informed the Governor that he had disposed of Pete's in the exact spot where they planned to. The two of them new what they should next. It was time to implement the next part of the plan into effect. They along sat around the same table along with Mitch, Tara, Wyatt, Alisha and Monica as they were in the middle of a small meeting about where they were discussing what they should do to fortify their camp.

"How's the perimeter coming?" The Governor asked.

"Good." Monica replied, "We got cars ringing almost the entire camp."

"I think a few more runs, we should have ourselves a nice little buffer." Wyatt added to which Monica nodded in agreement.

The Governor turned to look at Mitch, "What about the pits?"

"They keep coming, we keep burning them." Mitch replied, "I don't know if it's the heat or what, but there have been a hell of a lot more of them lately."

The Governor nodded his head and looked up at Tara and Jose, "And the armory."

"Solid." Tara replied, "We rounded up all the ammo in camp. We're officially stocked in the bullet department."

"I already told our crews that our supply runs are arrow only from now on." Jose added.

"Good." The Governor nodded his head, "Gunshots are a luxury. Sooner or later we're gonna need 'em."

"Keep in mind that we may not have to use them just on the muertos." Jose added, "Mitch and I and Wyatt and Pete who unfortunely is not with us anymore, we all saw what people can do out there."

"Exactly." The Governor nodded his head in agreement, "Let's go."

Everyone nodded in understanding and parted ways to do their job. Tara and Alisha made their way to the other side of the camp and joined Trevor on guard duty. Tara didn't stay on her guard duty for long, though becaus her niece approached her and tagged her.

"You're it, Aunt Tara." Meghan said to her aunt.

"What? I can't be it. I'm on guard duty. I have to be a responsible adult." Tara said, but did it only to lower Meghan's guard as she tagged her back only a second later, "You're it."

"Go get her." Alisha told Meghan as Tara pushed herself into run.

"No fair!" Meghan shouted, running after her aunt as Alisha and Trevor smiled. Not much time had to pass before Meghan spotted her aunt hidding behind the bed sheets on the clothes lines. She ran over to the sheets and moved them away from her aunt, telling her with a smile on her face, "Gotcha!"

Her smile faded away from her face when she saw that it was a walker standing behind the sheets, not her aunt. She let out a terrified shriek and quickly moved over to the nearest trailer. She got herself on the ground and started crawlin away from the walker, but unfortunely for her, the undead was faster and grabbed her by her leg.

"Aunt Tara!" Meghan cried out for help as her aunt who heard her screaming quickly ran over to her and grabbed the walker by it's leg, beginning to pull it away from her niece. Tara kept pulling the walker away from her niece, but the undead was too strong, but fortunely for her and Meghan a shot came from their right side and the walker was killed off with a single bullet to it's head.

Lilly quickly ran over to her daugher and embraced her in a tight hug, telling her that everything was okay as the Governor lowered his smoking pistol, watching the scene in front of him as the rest of the camp started gathering around them.

"Philip." Jose whispered to the Governor when he approached him, using his real name, as the one eyed man turned to look at him, "A muerto sneaked it's way into our camp. I think we both know what has to be done."

The Govenor nodded his head, knowing exactly that the time for what he and Jose were planning to do has come. They turned away from the scene in front of them, made their way to Wyatt's pickup and got themselves into it. Jose started up the vehicle and drove off in the direction of their next destination. The place that would be a perfect home for the peopl from their camp.

The prison.

It didn't took them that long to get to the prison. Jose had to admit that he was suprised himself by how short their journey to the prison was. He parked the pickup on some forested road and got out of it along with the Governor. They made their way to the edge of the forest and set their gaze on the prison. It looked exactly the same as it was the last time when they saw it.

They spotted Rick and Carl. The father and the son were standing together at what appeared to be a small farm which must have been the place where the prison group was growing their food. The Grimes were chatting with each other while digging into the ground of their farm, making sure to take care of the plants.

Jose's attention was taken away from the prison when he heard a few people chatting with each other not too far from him the Governor. He listened to the sounds of the conversation for a few more seconds, wanting to make sure that he wasn't hearing things. He wasn't. There were indeed some people, possibly from the prison close to him and the Governor.

He nudged the Governor on his arm, causing the him to look at him. Jose raised his finger in the air, telling him to listen without saying any words. The Governor listened to his surroundings for a few seconds before the same noise of the conversation between a few people rang through his ears. He pulled out his pistol and started walking in the direction from which the noise was coming from, with Jose walking closely behind him, the spanish man holding his M4A1 in ready.

It wasn't long before they spotted Michonne, DJ, and Hershel. The three people from the prisons group were standing in front of the blue truck as they were close to finishing their job which happened to be getting rid of the bodies of the undead. The group of three was in the middle of a conversation and all three of them were smilling, having no idea that they were being watched.

The Governor glared at Michonne, feeling how the rage started building inside him at the view of the dark skinned woman. The images of her killing his beloved daughter flew through his mind as he raised his pistol and aimed it her.

Oh, boy. The prison battle is in the next chapter. I can't believe we're so close to finishing the prison arc. It feels like yesterday when I was writing our characters breaking into the prison and making it their home.

Hope it wasn't that bad. See you in another chapter.
