You have reached Level 25 of your class! Time to choose a faith, depending on what you choose, different skills shall be rewarded!
In this Naruto Universe, there are 3 confirmed gods; Shinigami, Jashin, and Kaguya. You may choose one of these three. Alternatively, if none of these gods or goddesses are to your liking, you may RANDOM roll for gods and goddesses of other planets, universes, etc.
What do you choose?
Can we not fucking do this right now system?! I'm currently staring into the faces of possibly 10 angry Pro Heroes!
I took a small step backwards, adjusting Momo's still unconscious body over my shoulder as my eyes scanned my surroundings, looking for the getaway portal and the dungeon chest. Ultimately, I'll have to give up the chest if I can't get to both.
But I realllly want that reward chest….
A glimmer in the corner of my vision caught my eye, I turned towards the shipwreck zone and saw the portal out of here hovering over the water in the center. The chest, meanwhile, was on the ship that was miraculously still above the water. If I get the chance, I should be able to rush towards the chest and then make a sharp right turn towards the portal.
Suddenly, blood exploded from the ground below me and crystalized, trapping my legs in place as a violet mist enveloped the area around me. I coughed and covered my mouth and nose with my free hand, I narrowed my eyes as I saw Midnight and Vlad King rush towards me, while the rest of the staff went to apprehend the other villains and secure the students. I had to act fast.
Bracing myself, I used Force explosion from both of my feet and shattered the crystalized blood entrapping my legs and blowing away the violet aroma in my immediate area as I rocketed upwards. Righting myself midair, I use it again to rocket my way towards the shipwreck zone. Once I came close to hitting the water I twisted my body and landed feet first on the surface. I started running as soon as I landed on the water surface as to not lose momentum, a quick glance behind me revealed that Vlad King was on my ass, using his blood as a sort of makeshift bridge as he hardened it under his feet as he ran after me, but the hardened blood behind him was quickly loosing their structure as the blood bridge, for a lack of a better word, 'melted' behind him.
But Vlad King was getting dangerously close to me, I had to get him off my ass. Making a split second decision I decided to give up on Momo and threw her body past him. Vlad King halted his approach and immediately turned around to get her to safety, leaving me all alone as I sped towards the chest.
I made it to the ship and ran up the hull of the ship, continuing my run I snatched up the chest as I passed it and arced to the right and leaped off the ship and sailed over the floating trapped villains, landing back on the water's surface and sprinted towards the portal. As I ran I noticed the water level sinking, did they seriously have the ability to drain the water?
Well, that kinda makes sense.
I picked up speed and dashed towards the sinking center. When it was clear I wasn't going to make it in time I jumped into the air and used Force Explosion from my feet and launched myself towards the portal, missing it by a wide margin, just as planned, and landed on the wall of the USJ. Sticking to the side, I ran along the wall and positioned myself so I was a straight shot away from the portal. Grinning, I stared at the frustrated teachers.
"TEACHERS OF UA! You will always remember this as the day that you almost caught Tatsuo Kyodo!"
"Did that guy really just quote Pirates of the Caribbean?"
Ignoring that stupid staff member, I used Force Explosion again and rocketed in a straight line right into the portal, offering Vlad King a nice middle finger as I passed by him and disappeared into the portal. I was finally out of danger, well, kind of. I was still at the bottom of the lake. But with another use of Force Explosion later and I launched out of the lake with a huge explosion of water. Gasping for air, I walked back to shore and sat underneath a tree. Placing the chest in front of me, I grabbed the chest key from my inventory and opened it.

Doton: Earth Spear or Doton: Lightened Boulder
I don't know either of those. System, can I get a description for each?
Earth Spear is the user flowing earth natured chakra through all parts of their body, increasing their durability and power. This technique highly increases damage resistance, while also granting a minor attack buff.
Lightened Boulder reduces the gravity on the target, making it lighter. The user can reduce the atmosphere around them along with the user themselves to take flight and increase their maneuverability, and with enough mastery control their flight with specific body movement. This technique vastly increases dexterity and speed, but consequently reduces attack.
So, two support techniques? I guess it just boils down to whether or not I want to be able to tank attacks or the ability to fly. Hm…
I'll take Doton: Lightened Boulder
Doton: Lightened Boulder (1/10): The user reduces gravity on the target(s), making it lighter.
X2 Speed, DMG dealt/2
Cost: 600 CP
The chest disappeared, releasing a sigh of content, I leaned back into the tree and closed my eyes and exhaled a deep breath. Opening my eyes, I looked back at the earlier notification I received after reaching level 25. System, what does choosing a God do for me?
The skills you will gain from your monk class will change depending on the deity chosen, along with class promotions. Your chosen deity may also give you quests, though whether you do them is up to you. Learning new skills can be affected by your choice too.
So, choosing a God doesn't like, change my personality or anything?
Choosing a God does not affect the player in any psychological way.
Alright then, so my options are Naruto Deities or a random one? Okay, let's think about this.
Kaguya is out, as much as she is a milf I don't see any benefit with choosing her other than maybe getting her favor if she ever gets released from the moon, not happening. Jashin would be okay but I wouldn't get the immortality that Hidan has. Hidan got his immortality thanks to some experiment done by the Jashin cult, not from Jashin himself, so there's no guarantee that I would receive the same thing. As for Shinigami? That's a definite maybe, I could see some potential usage out of it. But a random god could potentially be really good, but also really, REALLY bad depending on who I get.
System, if I chose random, could I still choose which type of god I get?
Yes, you may choose a domain you would like your god to have and the system shall randomly select a God/Goddess/Entity from that domain profile
That makes this decision so much easier. So what I should do is choose a domain that would help me in the long AND short run, so no niche domains like dreams or whatever. No, what I need is something that will give me a huge power boost. Wait a second, I already told Kakashi and team 7 I could use senjustu…wouldn't it just be wonderful if I had a deity that could help me with that?
System, give me a random Nature Deity!

Gaea is a goddess of the Greek Pantheon, Goddess of the Earth and Nature. Mother of Titans and Giants, wife of Ouranos, and the personification of the Earth.
For reaching Level 25 with Gaea as your chosen faith, you have been gifted the following perks: One with Mother Nature, Earth's Favored
One with Mother Nature: You have been blessed by Mother Nature herself. You have a natural calming aura around you, animals are docile and tame around you. Whenever you are still for a lengthy period of time, the growth of plant life is promoted. You have no problem finding fresh food
Earth's Favored: Earth style techniques are easier to learn and master.
Not bad at all, though I'm sure better abilities will be available at later levels. Now, let's deal with all of those SP points I got. System, bring up my status.

Now that everything has been sorted, I can go back to what I need to do. It's still early morning, so I can get some more training in before I need to head off and fight in a civil war. Standing up, I walk over to my pile of leaves I gathered from the other day and took one. Walking up to the lake, I placed the leaf between my palms and walked on the water, I'm going to master water walking before I leave, even if it takes me all fucking night.

It took me all day to get it done, but I have finally mastered Water walking
Water Walking Exercise [20/20]: An advanced Chakra Control exercise developed by the Hidden Mist Village, which was later shared with the other hidden villages after the first ninja war. 20% CC. Completion of this skill allows access to Expert level Chakra control exercises. Cost = 10CP/Sec
I even got 5 levels in my Earth Release skill, which was nice.
I walked through Tsunami's door, probably for the final time, and made my way through the dark room to the couch I have called my bed for the past few days. I reached and pulled back the blanket and started to lay down, gently pushing the other person out of the way so I could lay down.
Wait a minute.
I felt around the face of whoever was in my sleeping couch until I found their cheek and started to poke them, repeatedly. An annoyed whine came out of their throat as they tried batting my hand away, but it was for naught for my poking continued with renewed vengeance. Eventually my poking overcame their desire to sleep as the person rose up to glare at me through their tired eyes.
"Stop poking me! I'm trying to sleep ya know?!"
"…Naruko? What are you doing on my couch."
Naruko's tired, annoyed expression slowly morphed into a sleepy smile
"Oh Tatsuo you're back. You never came back after our contest, and when I checked the lake earlier you weren't there so I assumed you went into one of those thingies again. I was waiting for you to give you your dinner, but I must have fallen asleep."
"Ah, thanks Naruko. You're a good friend ya know?"
"Oi, that's my thing. Only I can say ya know, ya know?"
"Didn't realize that you owned that saying Naruko."
"Well now you know, you should apologize for attempted theft of my catch phrase."
"Oh your majesty! Please forgive this humble servant Tatsuo, for he did not know that your law decreed he could not speaketh such a saying."
"Hm…I dunno, your majesty doesn't feel like forgiving such an egregious offence."
"Oh woe be me, for if his majesty cannot forgive him then this unworthy peasant cannot go on."
"Pfffff"
We shared tired grins as Naruko sat up fully on the couch. Plopping down next to her, we sat in comfortable silence as our sleepiness started to set in.
"Mmm. Naruko?"
"Hahhhh, what's up Tatsuo?"
"M' sorry, but I gotta leave tomorrow."
"Oh….can I ask why?"
"You're not upset or anything?"
"Tatsuo, you're your own person. Even if I'm sad that you're leaving you got your own stuff to do. Besides, you leaving doesn't change the fact that we're still friends, even if we did just meet so soon."
"Yeah, sorry. Just thought of some people who get mad at stuff like that, was just a little worried."
"That sounds like some Tsundere shit Tatsuo."
"Haha, yeah."
"So why are you leaving tomorrow?"
"I agreed to help some people from Mist to aid them in their civil war. Going out to meet up with them tomorrow and we're going to the aid of the bloodline faction."
"I didn't realize Kirigakure was in a civil war…"
"Oh? I didn't realize it wasn't common knowledge."
"..Do you know why there's a civil war?"
"Their Kage went crazy and started killing off people with bloodlines some years ago, real horrible shit."
"Oh kami above that's awful! Why would a kage do something like that?"
"Well, between you and me I think it's because someone could be controlling the current Mizukage."
"You think so?"
"Yeah, their Kage went through too drastic of a shift for it to be natural to me. One day everything's fine and then the next the Kagura clan, that's a bloodline clan that was the first to go, gets wiped out? Seems a little suspicious to me."
"Yeah, that does sound a little fishy."
"That's just my thoughts on it, at the end of the day the kage did still commit those crimes even if he was controlled, that shit just doesn't magically go away"
"So you're going to aid the resistance? That's pretty cool of you."
"You think so?"
"Yeah!"
"Good to know that the future Hokage herself thinks I'm cool."
"Well of course I do. We're, what did you call us again? Besties better than the resties?"
"You don't mind that do you?"
"Of course not! I was happy to hear that. I, I don't have a lot of friends back in Konoha."
"They're just missing out, and I don't have many friends either, so I guess that makes two of us."
"Mmm. When do you have to leave tomorrow?"
"I dunno, probably early morning I would say. They never gave me a specific time, but I figure I should be there early instead of late."
"Yeah, that sounds reasonable."
"Hey, cheer up Naruko. Even if I'm not around physically you can always send me letters through our summons."
"You can do that?"
"I don't see why not, all you'd have to do is give a letter to one of the Jaguars and they could give it to me. So even if we're far apart, we can still talk, ya know?"
"yeah…Yeah, I could do that. Anyways, I'll get off your couch so you can sleep."
"You don't want to stay?"
"I don't want to intrude on your sleep…"
I laid down and shuffled over so Naruko could lay down next to me, "I don't mind, think of it as a sleepover between friends."
Naruko took a step forward, hesitated, and then laid down next to me. I covered the blanket over the two of us and felt myself relax.
"I've never had a sleepover with a friend before, or at all."
"Well neither have I, so this can be our first sleepover together."
"Oh Tatsuo I can't believe my first time is with you~"
"Pfff"

I woke around 7 in the morning with Naruko still asleep. Carefully, I maneuvered myself out of the couch and did some light morning stretches. I carefully walked up the stairs and took a quick morning shower, making sure to scrub off all of the grime off of me and taking care of my long hair. Afterwards, I dried off and went back down the stairs and I nudged Naruko gently until she slowly woke up.
"Mnnn, Tatsuo? What are you still doing here, I thought you had to leave?"
"Aren't you gunna send me off?"
Naruko got off the couch and bounced after me to the front door. I opened the door, turned around and gave her a quick goodbye hug. Grinning, I separated from her smiling face and walked away, waving behind me. When I saw her wave back, I smirked and sped off into the woods towards Gato's warehouse. I reached the place in 5 minutes and pushed open the doors, gagging slightly at the stench of so many rotting corpses. Making my way up the stairs, I reached the door where I met Haku the first time and knocked on the door.
Haku answered the door, senbon poised to strike. Upon seeing my gorgeous face, Haku backed down and let me inside. Sitting on his bed was the man Zabuza himself, his large ass blade on his lap as he ran some of oil drenched cloth along the blade's sides. Seeing me, Zabuza dropped the cloth on the floor and strapped the blade back on his back. Standing up, Zabuza walked out of the room with Haku in tow. I rolled my eyes good naturedly and walked to catch up with them. We all silently walked out of the warehouse and deeper into the woods surrounding us, and kept walking for a good 30 minutes until we came to the shore of wave. Beached on the sand was a moderately sized sailing boat, big enough to have a lower deck for sleeping.
Zabuza stopped in front of the boat and turned around and cleared his throat a bit, Haku and I stopping to listen.
"Alright, Haku already knows this but we're heading back to Kiri to join up with the resistance. Sailing directly from here to the mist will take about 3 days, two if the wind is on our side. We must approach quietly, otherwise the Mizukage's forces will be alerted of our presence. You, explosion man, you're going to have to stay above deck. Haku and I are known faces among Yagura's men, if they spot us we'll be assaulted immediately, so in the event that they spot you they might pull you aside for some questioning. We have supplies taken from Gato's warehouse stored in the lower deck, so you can claim that you're here with the shipment that they ordered 4 days ago."
"What about you and Haku?"
"There's a false wall on the lower deck that hides a room that was used for smuggling illegal goods, the room is big enough for the two of us along with some hammocks so that the two of us can sleep down there. You'll stay above the ship in the captain's quarters."
"Dude, I don't know how to maintain a ship."
"Good for you that I do, we'll be fine for the first day or two, I'll be able to send some water clones to help take care of the ship and direct it to where we need to go. You're just the showman, to trick the loyalists into letting us through the water blockade."
"Sounds simple enough, what should I do during the two days of nothing?"
"Train? Meditate? Jerk off? I don't give a fuck what you do during this time, my priority is saving Kiri from destroying itself, not solving your boredom."
"Alright alright, seesh man. Don't get your panties in a twist, we'll stop the war in time before the Chunin exams. How long away is that anyways?"
"We have a little more than 4 weeks before the genin need to leave the village to get to Konoha for the weeklong journey. Essentially, our goal is to end the War within a month so that we can scrounge some of our elite Genin and maybe some of our weak chunin and send them to participate in the Exams so that clients send us more missions. More missions translates to more income, and then we can dedicate that income towards rebuilding Kiri."
"What if the Chunin exam plan doesn't bring in a lot of missions?"
"Then it's not too big of a problem. We're banking on the Chunin exam's to rack in more missions from countries other than the one's who already send us missions like the land of Honey and Bird. There are 11 minor countries to the right of Kiri that send us missions that they can't deal with, that's already going to be enough to get us back on our feet within the next 2 years or so. If we do well in the Chunin exam's, however, we can rebuild quicker and be done maybe within a year from then."
"Alrighty then, let's get a move on."
"Haku, help us push the boat into the water."
"Ah, before that let me do something real quick."
Walking up to the boat I placed my hand on the wooden hull. I used Lightened Boulder and made the boat incredibly light. After forcefully grtting Zabuza and Haku on the boat, I pushed the boat easily into the water. Once we were deep enough in the ocean I jumped onto the boat, letting the wind carry us out to sea. Zabuza immediately created some water clones and had them go around the boat doing various things, some did something to the ropes connected to the sail, another went up to the steering wheel and had another clone beside him with a map. The real Zabuza and Haku went down the stairs and I heard a small creaking sound which I assumed was the false wall opening for them.
Sitting down, I looked through my skills seeing if I could train anything. I also swapped Hero of Wave back to The Jaguar Summoner. Letting out a sigh, I sat against the wall to the captains quarters on the deck of the ship and started to Meditate.
(-)
I was startled out of my meditation when I was shaken by a clone of Zabuza.

"Oi kid,"
"Dude I'm 18."
"We're approaching the blockade, just hold the steering wheel still and let the boat gently drift between the two ships an-"
"I've been meditating for two days?!"
"No, just 1 day and about 14 hours, whatever you did to the boat to make it lighter when you pushed it into the water cut our trip in half. Now get up and get to the steering wheel, they can't see us yet due to the heavy mist around us, so you need to get up there and get us between the two boats we're approaching."
I raced up the steps and took control of the steering wheel from one of the water clones. All the clones on the deck then jumped overboard into the water and dispelled, leaving no trace of them ever being on the boat. I ended the Lightened Boulder jutsu and let the now heavier boat slowly drift between the two loyalist boats. As soon as our boat drifted between the two others, our boat stopped in it's tracks, probably due to some sort of jutsu, and 4 ninja jumped onto my boat. Grinning, I waved down at the enemy and made my way down the stairs next to the steering wheel and onto the deck. I strolled up to them and held out a hand.
"Yo! Tatsuo from Gato's shipping company here to deliver an order we received 4 days ago."
The ninjas remained silent, until one stepped forward – presumably the leader – and nodded to one of his companions. Said ninja went for the stairs that led down to the cargo and made his way down. The other two silent ninja positioned themselves on the deck. The leader looked back towards me.
"We're here on behalf of the Mizukage to receive our shipment. Though, it's strange to see that our usual delivery team isn't here to greet us."
"Their crew got assigned to a shipment headed towards Suna's capital, they wouldn't be back for another 2 weeks, so I was sent instead."
"Alone?"
"Gato knows I don't work well with groups, I'm good enough on my own to not warrant one."
"I wasn't aware that Gato had established a connection with Suna yet."
"Gato's expanding his growing shipping empire. He's already contacted the land of lightning and is in the process of striking a deal with them to let us sail through Gaikotsu Bay to see if we can set up shop at snow."
The leader narrowed his eyes in suspicion, but his subordinate from before came back up the stairs and came over.
"Captain, the contents of the cargo are safe and secure, nothing abnormal was found sir."
Nodding his head, the leader motioned for the man to step in line with the other two. Turning his head back to me, I tensed slightly as he reached into his Mist Jonin jacket, but relaxed once he pulled out a pen.
"Everything checks out, you got the papers for me to sign?"
"Oh yeah, the papers, sorry man I must have left them in my quarters. I'll go grab them."
Jesus fucking Christ Zabuza I hope to Gaea that you got those papers otherwise we're caught!
Making my way into the Captain's quarters, I was keenly aware of the Leader's gaze as his eyes followed my movements. Once I was inside the Captain's quarters I sped towards the huge desk with a wooden chair behind it, which was next to a big hammock. Sifting through the side drawers, I found nothing but random trinkets and alcohol. Cursing, I opened the little drawer directly underneath the desktop and found some papers. Briefly glancing at the contents of the paper, I let out a sigh of relief when they were the order forms for the shipment.
I walked back through the doorway and onto the deck making my way to the commander. Handing him his papers, I leaned back on the railing of the stairway with a smile. Once he signed the papers, I grabbed them from his hand and walked back to the desk, placed them back inside the drawer, and came back outside to see the ninja's returning to their post. Only the captain was left.
"You're going to go straight to the dock and let our men empty the Cargo. Seeing as it's late, you can stay the night at one of our inns. You're permitted to see the marketplace to restock on food, but you must be accompanied by an escort. Once you're done with that, you are to leave immediately."
"Got it."
"Good, now enjoy your stay in Shonin no Mura."
Nodding, I went back to the steering wheel and waited. Sure enough, the ninja on the ships beside me waved some handsigns and the boat resumed its course towards the port in the distance. Once we docked, I waved over some sailors I saw and asked for help securing the boat to the dock. It took a little convincing, but they eventually came around and helped tie the boat down. Grinning, I paid the 6 sailors 1000 Ryo each and thanked them for their help. I turned around to get Zabuza and Haku only to see a squadron of Loyalist shinobi unloading the ship. I nervously stood around, hoping that they don't find my two stowaways. Suddenly, the area around me was filled with mist. Like, more mist than usual. I felt a Kunai rest itself on my throat and I immediately elbowed the fucker who was behind me, grabbed his jacket and slammed him into the ground. I held the man in front of me as the mist cleared, all of the loyalists dead on the ground with slit throats.
My anger focused on a tall man with spiked blue hair with one of his eyes covered with an eyepatch, the veins around said eyepatch were bulging prominently and with ears adorned with talisman earrings. The man also wore a black turtleneck sweater thing and was covered in turquoise haori that had white trimmings. The man was surrounded by shinobi of various ranks, all aimed to strike at me.
"Ao, you came to greet us with an Entourage?"
"Zabuza, you're alive?"
"Of course I am you- ugh, never mind. Yes, I'm alive. This is my associate Tatsuo; he'll be aiding us in the war."
"What value does he bring to us?"
"The man is an explosive expert if his slaughter of Gato's men was any indication. I didn't witness the battle myself, but I did see the aftermath. 35 dead, and as you can see Tatsuo himself doesn't have any lasting injuries from that bout 4 or 5 days ago."
"Hmph, well it's not up to you to decide if he joins us or not. He'll be allowed to follow us to a meetup point, there we can meet up safely with Mei-sama and she'll test his capabilities."
"Whatever, I don't care what you do with him just know that he'll be of great use to us."
"Alright men, burn the supplies."
"Whoa whoa whoa, no need to do that. I got a better idea."
Before Ao could complain further, I placed my hand on one of the large crates containing supplies and put it in my inventory. The men around me gasped as I inventoried the other 20 or so crates of supplies.
"Alright, cargo secured, let's get going."
"How the hell did you do that? Storage scrolls can't carry that amount of weight!"
All I offered Ao was a smug smirk and a flip of my glorious hair. Sauntering passed him, I motioned for him to move.
"Oi, get your ass moving. I doubt those loyalists at the blockade didn't notice your slaughter of their men. We need to get a move on."
Ao growled lowly, but ultimately complied and ran ahead with all the men. Zabuza sped past me with Haku, and I followed after them into the misty foliage.
