With the fight properly finished, Chara began to look around. Noticing Flowey staring at a pile of leaves. Illuminated by the various lit torches in the area. She looked, trying to figure out what was drawing his gaze.

"What'cha lookin at?" She asked.

"The Save point." He said. "You should, probably save, actually..."

"Eh?" She raised a brow, recalling her memory with Mychal, and the concept of saving and loading.

However, she didn't see a Save point there. And she was positive she would know. They were, after all, big glowing yellow-y things. Sort of hard to miss. Flowey gave her a look

"Do you...not see that thing?" He asked in surprise.

"Uhm, well-" She glanced towards the entrance of the room. "I did see...something like one. But that was when I was entering the room. And it was purple."

"Yeah...about that...your soul-" Flowey tapped her with a leaf. "why is it purple?"

Chara shrugged. "I just found red Lilac-ing." She snickered, while he glared. "B-but uh...I don't know...I just, woke up with it like this." She hummed, placing a hand to her chest as it shined briefly. "I mean it worked, right?" She glanced at him. "I did uhm...sort of die a little bit, and came back."

The flower hummed. "Well, that's true." He began to lean side to side, eyes closed, thinking. "Well, I know...another human did come through...a long time ago with one similar." He noted, adding. "But I never met them."

"Then how do you know they came through?" She asked.

"Cuz I saw the j-" He paused. "B-because someone brought it up. So...don't worry about it."

"K. Question Petals, how do you-" she tapped the flower. "know about saving and loading?"

"Cuz I can do it. Or, sort of?" He hummed a bit, glancing at the unseen thing. "It doesn't seem to be working with you here. I think I can save, but...definitely can't load."

"E-heh...that's weird." She noted. "Sorry?"

"Hmm...we'll, sort that out later." He reasoned. "So uhm, we should continue on."

"Absolutely." She agreed. "

With that said and done, the child wandered into the room to her left, rather than following the path to the right. Stepping inside, she squinted some, noticing something up on a pedestal. With shiny things inside. Stepping back out, she put her stick up to one of the torches, igniting the end. Looking back over the interior, it appeared to have a bowl on top, with what looked like candies in it. The entranceway dusty, leading to a ring of flowers around the pedestal.

"Hey, candy." She stepped closer.

"Hey idiot, don't eat those!" Flowey ordered appearing from a crack nearby. "This is, clearly, a trap."

She glanced over the 'take one' sign. "Hmm...maybe I can just take one?" She asked. "Might be chocolate."

"At the very least, it'll make you sick, just, don't touch them." He cautioned.

An intense debate began in her mind. An imaginary court-case playing out between herself, and various renditions of herself. Some wearing hoodies. Some wearing green sweaters, or red. All debating the idea of proceeding and attempting to take a piece of candy. One, wearing a rainbow scarf suggested they should heed Flowey, while another with a perpetual smile noted their combined inability to die, as a reason to do it anyways.

She sighed, and started back, as the Flower let out a sigh. Looking away for just a moment. Which she took, to immediately lean back over, and snatch one of the candies. Nothing happened, and so...without much thought. She took another one...

As she began stepping away, the bowl tilted some, making a noise that grabbed their attention. It knocked over, smashing against the floor with a loud shattering noise. The pillar breaking apart like it was pottery.

"That's probably not good," Chara said.

"What did you do!?" Flowey asked in alarm.

"Me?" She asked. "I didn't do anything!" She declared. "What did you do?"

"Chara, RUN!." He demanded, vanishing into the floor.

Her attempted dash, hurrying towards the entrance was interrupted by a snapping noise, and the start of something familiar. Her foot catching on something, tripping her as she was leaving. She was violently pulled up, the 'snikt' sound slashing into the air, piercing through the bottom of her shoe, which she managed to slip out of. Slamming onto the ground with a thud, wincing, and gritting her teeth.

She promptly saw the red leaking from her foot. The metal having sliced across it, when she was falling free from the shoe. The spikes piercing up, having reached the top of the door. With her shoe torn through, being held there for a time.

The flower appeared beside her. Noticing the blood, his expression turned to one of horror. Eyes widening, before he snapped from it.

"C-chara, are you alright?" He asked in alarm.

The cut itself, wasn't terrible deep. But it certainly hurt, quite a lot. And was definitely bleeding. She turned her leg to examine the slice up it. Shivering as she did, jumping when the door suddenly made another noise. The spikes rescinding back, hiding away beneath the flowers present at the doorframe.

Flowey kept saying something, but it wasn't processing. Everything seemed silent, her eyes unblinking as she rose to her feet. Staggering, stumbling, and then limping over to grab her shoe. It was dusty now, and had a few holes punched through it, nearly tearing it in half.

Pressing her fingers through a hole, she felt strangely hollow. Her internal debaters yelling angrily at the one who made such a poor suggestion. As her imagination processed things, before her attention returned to the Flower presently looking at her in concern.

Sound returned slowly, as did her smile. "That...that was side-splitting, huh?" She joked. "The door really likes Sole food."

"You almost died!" He exclaimed in disbelief. "How can you joke about that?"

She noticed the flower near her foot, wrapping vines around it tightly, causing her to wince more. He gave her a stern, and annoyed expression. Before sighing, and severing the vines from himself.

"Sorry." She apologized, realizing that her hand was shaking violently. "I mean, even if I did die, at least I'd have two shoes again." A disturbed laugh escaping her lips.

"Chara-" Flowey began, noticing that she seemed to be tearing up some. "Eh, you alright?"

"Sure." She smiled some, adding. "Just uh...hurts a little is all." She suggested leaning against the wall to put her shoe back on, despite the holes. "T-thanks for the help."

"Okay...no more veering off the path, alright?" He said. "Let's...get you home."

Chara felt both guilty, and a bit idiotic. She contemplated triggering the trap again. Try things over, without the pain she was experiencing now. However, she resisted this, deciding instead to Persevere, despite her stupid action.

She straightened herself out and took a deep breath. "Yeah...we uhm, probably should." She began limping some.

Flowey briefly considered his next action. Wagering she would undoubtedly get herself into more trouble before too long. Noting that all it took was him being out of sight for a second, for that to happen.

"Hey, just...let me see your arm." He requested.

She did as he asked, the flower uprooting himself with a bit of effort. Climbing up her arm, wrapping around it. He came to rest on her shoulder, glancing at the flower necklace she still wore on her neck. Then noticing her little smirk.

"You're like a parrot now." She suggested, wiping her eyes.

He managed a smile. "Just...call me Parry."

"Howdy-" She said, mimicking his voice. "I'm Parry, Parry the Parrot."

"Squawk." He replied plainly, making her smile. "Hey, can you heal at your save?"

"I don't think so." She glanced at her arms, still burned. "I don't think it does that...yours?"

"Not at present." He noted frowning. "Sorry."

With some newfound hesitance, the pair continued onwards. Heading to the right, before taking the left turn towards another room. Entered the next one, Flowey hummed some, pointing to the cracks in the floor, and strange window-like things on the wall.

"That floor is super fragile." He explained. "If you step on it, you fall down."

"Eh...t-to where?" She asked.

"Another floor. One of them is safe...should be a marking or something." He reasoned.

She hummed, limping forward. Giving an examination to the floor, keeping her away from the door across the end of the hall-like room. It didn't take her too long to notice that one of them had a strange mark on it. A little scorch mark, that the other sections lacked.

"Can you uhm...maybe push on it?" She asked.

"Yeah." He replied, as she knelt down, wincing. "Careful...don't hurt yourself."

He created a little pellet, tossing it at the spot. Causing the ground to give way. The magical tiles shining, a little, giving them the ability to look down. It did appear that there was nothing at the bottom of the fall. He huffed some, and tried another. Revealing the same nothing, save a distant floor.

"I thought...is there no way down safely?" She asked.

"W-well there was." The flower huffed, thinking. "Look, I'll uh...I'll lower you down, okay?"

"Are you sure?" Chara glanced to him.

"Sure, I'm sure." Flowey replied. "Just, let me latch into somethin, okay?"

He looked around for a moment, before extending his roots petals into vines. Punching them into a more stable section of the floor. Giving her a nod, she leaned forward, staring down. For a moment, the idea seemed to inspire dread, her heart beating a little quicker. But she reminded herself she could just 'continue' if she died. Even if the pain would be bad...it would be okay.

With that macabre thought, she carefully gripped the edge, glancing to him. "Don't drop me..please."

"I won't, just...go." He huffed.

Lowering down, with the vines she was able to see Flowey strain in the process. Farther they went, into the dark that was below. Her good foot coming to touch the ground, her damaged one gradually resting beside it. Her friend gave a little pant, strained while withdrawing his vines, to be normal pets once more.

"Are you okay?" She asked quietly.

"Yeah...just-" Flowey blinked, whispering. "Chara...no sudden noises..."

She raised a brow, before looking around the area. It was dark, almost jet black in some respects. But her attention promptly fell on a couple Froggits, resting in one of the corners. And then to a fly-like creature relaxing near the door on the left side of the room, which seemed to be a way back up to where they came from.

Her heart did beat faster at this. She wasn't sure they could progress, fighting that many enemies. At least, not as damaged as they were. His request for silence was met, however, as he pointed to the door leading out.

Chara took a breath, holding it, as she began to limp to the exit. Creeping past one of the sleeping monsters. Reaching near the other. Who shifted some, and let out a soft croak, when they passed. Both tensing up, facing it. Only to discover the creature was effectively snoring. The light from the hole starting to fade, as the magic stone that made it up, began patching.

Her companion motioned for her to hurry up some. Which she did. Reaching the door, and passage going up. Thankful to be out of this location, as they began to scale it. Gradually reaching the top. Pushing out of the strange wall window, and onto the floor. Chara finally letting out the breath she was keeping in, turning her head back to the broken section they had passed. Suddenly realizing something.

"H-hey Flowey?" She asked.

"Yeah?" He glanced.

"Why didn't you just...lift us across?" Chara inquired.

He was quiet for a moment, before groaning. "Let's just keep going."

"Okay." She sighed, the two getting up again.

The next room had a single rock, a sliding spot to a slot for it. And a row of spikes blocking the way. However, as it seemed far too easy, the duo approached it with caution. Examining every angle, checking every little thing. Finally, they pushed the rock, the spikes going down. Waiting for a few moments, the rock suddenly shifted back slightly, causing the spikes to burst back up.

"There's the trap." Flowey commented in annoyance.

"Hmm..." Chara thought, briefly visualizing an inventory page of sorts.

|Chara |LV 1 |HP 5/20 |G 5|

|Items | |Stats | |Cell |

She briefly wondered; heading to Stats. Finding her own page a little bit...lacking. Telling her what she knew. Name, Chara. Level, health, etc. Her armor being a 'Flower Necklace' and a her weapon being a 'Broken Stick.' She noted she could move left or right, briefly swiping her hand. To display Flowey's page.

|Flowey |
|Lvl 1 |
|HP 2/12|
|AT 1 |
|DF 0 |

She made a note to observe this. Remember it, and try to keep better track of it. - Health added to Battle Hud. - With a sigh, she wiped away the thought of the menu however, and turned her focus back to the rock.

"Maybe...I can use the stick?" She suggested.

"What...to keep it from movin back?" Flowey asked, shrugging. "It could work."

She limped to it, as Floweys vines pushed the rock into place. Chara shoving the stick at an angle that would keep the rock in place. Before the duo started away from it. Hearing the rock try and shift, as Chara limped across the presently rescinded spikes. Glancing back in time to hear the stick snap, the spikes jumping up once more. A sigh of relief escaping her lips, a smile forming.

"Told you." She said, limping along.

"I didn't say it wasn't a good idea." He replied, adding. "Course...now you don't have your stick." He nudged. "You could have asked me to get it, then catch up with you, though."

Chara looked to his smug little grin. And glared some in response. Prompting him to snicker and chuckle.

"Yeah, yeah, laugh it up Petals." She huffed some. "Ya know, you could have suggested it, instead of losing our weapon for us."

"I mean I could have." He shrugged. "But I didn't want to steal your thunder."

"Gee...thanks." She rolled here eyes, while digging out the candy from her pocket, as she limped on, briefly inspecting it.

Monster Candy - Has a overtly licorice flavor - Heals 5 HP

Holding it out to him, the Flower raised a brow. "You want me to eat something that was part of a trap?"

"It will heal you. Just...eat it, nerd." She requested.

Flowey huffed. "If I die-" She glared a little. "okay, okay, jeez. So serious." He undid the wrapper, popping the candy into his mouth. "Huh...tastes like licorice."

He chewed on it as they proceeded onward. Entering the next room, which had a little turn, to the next general puzzle. Which appeared to be a vast space of breakable walking space. Chara and Flowey stared at it briefly.

"You know all this stuff, right?" Chara asked.

"Eh-heh, usually I uh, skip some rooms." Flowey admitted.

"Why?" She asked in frustration, hearing a sound like hopping.

"Well, I'm trying to avoid-" The world flashed red and black. "other...monsters."

The duo noticed a strange gel creature. Which seemed to have been resting. Only, to be knocked into by a rather familiar looking Froggit. Which grinned a little as they appeared.

"Croak." It said, roughly translating to- "Die."
