Max walked through the door with Magnus right behind him, both of them were laughing hard at something, only stopping when they saw the state of the living room. It was covered with boxes of snacks, packs of water, orange juice, apple juice, powerades, gatorades, cases of all flavors. Ensures, breakfast essentials, boxes of waffles, pancakes, hot dogs, packs of chicken, baby food, apple sauce, fruit cups, pads, soap, razors, notebooks, grocery bags all over the place, right in the middle was a panting Alec, babies and the puppies.
Magnus looked as if he was about to explode because he just knew Alec unloaded all of this himself with a little help from his girls. "Darling are you alright?" Magnus asks as he approaches his fiance looking as if he was in nothing but pain. Alec had the audacity to smile and nod. "Stop lying Alec, I can see you are in pain right now! How.. W-Why would you unload this stuff by yourself? You could have waited until one of us got home, you don't have to do everything alone." Magnus was clearly pissed off.
"Papa!" The girls squealed loudly, taking the attention off of their daddy. They gave him juicy kisses on his cheeks. Smiling, Magnus picked them both up giving them kisses and hugs. "Hi my babies, did you have a good day today?" They nodded and started speaking to him in their adorable baby talk.
"Here dad," Max handed Alec his medication he needed to take for the pain. He couldn't handle seeing his dad in pain and not wanting to see his parents argue. But his pops was right though, Alec shouldn't have done this on his own.
"What the hell happened here?!" Jace exclaimed seeing the living room filled with food.
"Language!" Shouted Alec from the floor.
"Sorry bro, ummmm why are you on the floor? Are you okay?" Asked Jace, closing the door behind him.
"This lovely genius, (Magnus nods in Alec's direction) decided to unload everything himself instead of waiting for us." Magnus says placing the girls back on the floor, watching them go right back to their daddy. Alec glared at them not wanting to hear anything else from them. He knew he shouldn't have done it, but the food was in the car for two hours in the sun. So sue him! Alec said nothing, beginning to get up refusing Magnus's help. "There is food on the stove for dinner, I'm not hungry. You've ruined my appetite and mood, so do help yourselves with putting all this shi..stuff away. Enjoy your evening, I do not want to be disturb with any of you." With that Alec, walked to his and Magnus's bedroom and slammed the door loudly. Thank goodness the girls were too busy playing with the puppies to even notice.
"Damnit," Magnus muttered under his breath. This was not how he wanted his night to go. But he was right, Alec was pregnant and shouldn't be lifting anything heavy! "Hey, can you guys start putting this stuff away please?" Not waiting for a reply, Magnus walked towards his room only to find it locked and hearing a crying Alec behind it. Knocking softly, "Baby, can you open the door please? I want to make sure you are okay."
"Leave me alone Magnus, just leave me alone!" Alec shouted, crying harder. Not liking this, Magnus took out his wallet, pulling out a credit card, sliding it between the door and popping it open. Success! Magnus thought in his head. Walking into the room, he saw his fiance crying into his pillow, clearly in pain. Sighing, Magnus closed the door behind him and walked over to his love. Picking him up to hold him close to his chest, "I'm sorry for shouting at you baby, I shouldn't have done that, but you're pregnant baby. You can't be picking up packs of water and everything else. You can not strain yourself Alexander, you are still healing."
"I know, I'm sorry but the food was in the car for two hours and it is hot as hell outside. I had ice cream, popsicles, not to mention cheesecake. The waffles are so soft, so I had to bring it in. Please don't be mad at me, I promise I won't do it again." Alec says into Magnus's chest. Sighing, Magnus lifted Alec's head and kissed his beautiful lips. "Shhh, love it's alright. Just don't do that again okay? You worry me. I wasn't here for you before, I'm here now, so let your family help you baby." He pleaded. Alec nodded in understanding. The two of them spent thirty minutes making up and just talking out their frustrations. When Max walked into the room, he heard the two of them laughing curled into each other.
"Hey dad, we need your assistance. We have no idea what goes where and my siblings are no help! Riley and Sariah are trying to open their cookies and the puppies are right beside them trying to get some. Jace decided to open a box of chips and went to town now sharing with the girls. They aren't helping!" Max sounded defeated, he was so over putting away groceries. Alec laughed and nodded. "Okay, give me a second, I have to use the bathroom, but in the meantime Magnus can go and help you."
It took them an hour to put everything away with Alec's directions because Magnus was not having him help with anything. Alec started to get hungry and wanted food before he passed out from the medicine he took. "Hey baby, could you please make me a bowl of spaghetti please? I feel myself falling asleep and I need to eat again." Magnus being the loving fiance, made plates for Alec and his babies. The three of them sitting on the couch (the girls having blankets under them of course) began eating their dinner after praying. Finding this adorable, Magnus filmed them laughing every once and a while as the girls climbed up to get a bite of his biscuits. Playing on the TV was the old school little mermaid, the girls were obsessed with the bright colors. He uploaded it on his social media accounts then joined his babies on the couch too.
Magnus cleaned up the girls mess, then proceeded to the bathroom, might as well give them an early bath because they had sauce all over the place. Alec was told to just relax and get into bed, but of course he didn't listen. He laid the girls clothes, lotion, and pampers on the bed. "Hey bro, I wanted to say thank you for getting me my pads and tampons. You're the best." Izzy kissed Alec's forehead.
"You're welcome, this should last you for two months or more. I don't really know, but if you run out just add it to the list on the ridge." They spoke until Magnus walked out with two dripping wet babies. "Give me one!" Izzy shouted, taking Riley in her arms. The two squealed at each other, Izzy got her dressed then went to kidnap her other niece. "They are coming with me for another hour. I will bring them back when it's time for bed," with that she walked out the room with her giggling nieces. Magnus kissed Alec's lips seeing him asleep now. Not wanting to wake him, he cleaned their room and then went to shower for the night.
