"Alright my bubble gums, it's time to wash your hair now." Said Alec as he lifted both girls onto the countertop beside the sink. Alec washed the girls hair twice a month. Simply because their hair wasn't that dirty. If anything Alec would only put water in their hair and brush it back. The girls' hair was curly and thick. A mixture of both him and Magnus. After the incident at school, Alec had more free time now. So that meant that he was able to go back to work and get back to his regular schedule.
"Me first daddy please?" Sariah asked sweetly. Alec smiled and nodded. Their pronunciation of words was getting better and better each day. Alec had them on ABC mouse everyday. Plus the teachers at the daycare really taught the kids. Feeling proud, Alec kissed both of his girls then got to work. Pulling out the baby shampoo and conditioner. "Music daddy!" Riley exclaimed.
Alec gasped, "You are so right Riles, my apologies my princess." Alec put on his Imagine Dragons playlist and went to work. He washed the girls hair twice then let the conditioner sit in their hair for ten minutes before he washed it out. After their hair was washed and detangled, Alec cut their ends then styled their hair into finger curls. Normally Alec would put their hair in braids, but he wanted something different. As the girls laid down to take their naps for the afternoon, Alec took the puppies outside to give them baths as well.
Wet…. Alec was drenched in water and shampoo by the time he was done washing the puppies. He dried them, then put coconut oil on them so their coat would look pretty and healthy. Sighing, Alec walked into the house and gathered all of the dirty laundry. Honestly, you would think they had nothing else to wear with tons of clothes inside their hampers. Alec placed all laundry baskets by the front door so he could load his car to take them to the laundromat. There was NO way in hell he was going to run up his water bill for all of the clothes. Not to mention bedspreads. Ugh, a long day.
"Hey Allie, why are you wet?" Nadia asked him as she walked into the house seeing his grey shirt drenched. Smiling Alec kissed her cheek. "I gave the puppies a bath and they kind of enjoyed hugging me, not to worry, I'm about to get changed and head out. Would you like to join me or are you here to steal my gum drops?"
Nadia laughed, "I'm here to steal my babies of course. Remember they are coming with me today." Rolling his eyes, Alec walked into his room to change his clothes and get dressed. Not wanting to over do it, with it being hot outside. Alec pulled on some red/black basketball short, red/black Nike shirt and his black Nike Air Max. "Where are you going?" Nadia asked, carrying two wide awake babies.
"Ummm, I have to wash clothes and I am not doing it here, so I'm going to the laundromat down the street. It would be much cheaper to wash there and that way, all clothes can be dried." Nadia nodded in understanding. Afterall she saw all those clothes in the baskets by the front door.
"Okay, please be careful and tell those damn kids of yours to wash their clothes. Who lets their dirty clothes pile up like that? I blame the parenting. They are a bunch of lazy bums." They laughed. "I'm glad I was taught the correct way or I wouldn't know the first thing about taking care of a family. So thanks mom, you and pops taught me everything I know. And you're still teaching me." Alec said, giving her a hug. Together they made their way out the house.
Alec was sitting in his car when his fiancé called him freaking out because he didn't know where Alec went. "Alexander! Where are you? Where are the babies?" Since Alec was almost killed at school, Magnus and co have been overprotective of Alec, not wanting him going anywhere alone. "I'm at the laundromat down the street washing clothes and the girls are with mom. You are free to come and join me as long as you help fold clothes."
"Why didn't you call me to tell me where you were going? Or that you needed help? You aren't supposed to be doing things alone Alec! So sto-" Alec hung up on Magnus mid rant. Not wanting to hear anymore of that nonsense, he was enjoying his triple bacon cheeseburgers and refused to be interrupted. Magnus showed up glaring at his fiance. Alec just watched him while taking a bite of his burger, not given a fuck what he was shouting about. He refused to let anything or anyone agitate him during his pregnancy. So if he ignores you or walks away from you, it's for a reason. So Alec watched Magnus talk to him from outside the car. It was very entertaining. Considering he couldn't hear a world Magnus was saying. He was listening to this podcast. Magnus got frustrated then, he tried opening the car doors but came up short. Honestly, what did it take for people to leave him alone so he could enjoy his damn food?
After he was done eating, Alec turned off his car then went inside the laundromat to fold the clothes. "Alexander Bane! Are you seriously going to ignore me?" Alec kept walking. Magnus went to grab his arm and Alec snapped. "I would advise you to not touch me right now. After what happened at school, you are lucky I didn't break your hand. Seeing as all you have done was bitch at me. Even though I didn't hear one word of it." Alec said nonchalantly. "I am more than capable of taking care of myself as you saw at school. I am hormonal and you all have been stressing me out. From this day on, I refuse to get upset, agitated, stressed, or argue with anyone. I will continue to live my life how I want and when I want. So, how about you start over and ask me how I'm doing and instead of thinking you are the fucking boss of me. Now move, I have clothes to fold. If you aren't going to help then leave and I will see you when I get home."
Magnus pulled Alec close, not letting go. "I'm sorry baby, please forgive me. I'm just stressed out. All I see when I close my eyes is you being held at gunpoint and I know that's no way to live, but Alexander I could have lost you. Please forgive me." Alec sighed, he wasn't really in the mood to have a heart to heart. HORMONES! Thankfully the laundromat was empty and it was just them. Though Magnus did text the other to meet them there to pick up their clothing. By the time they finished their heart to heart, everyone showed up to help with the clothes.
"If I see this shit again there will be hell to pay. Jace and Isabelle you are old enough to know when to wash clothes. You have become lazy. I won't stand for it. Not to mention those dirty ass rooms. I am not your maid. So when we get back those rooms and bathrooms had better be cleaned. I dont give a flying fuck what you have to do, clean it! Because I do it everything is going in the trash, I don't give a damn what it is. That was our agreement, do I make myself clear?" Jace and Isabelle gulped loudly hearing Alec's cold deadly voice. They nodded and helped fold clothes. It was a lot of clothes. They had three baskets each. Alec, Magnus, and the girls' clothes were all washed a week ago so they didn't have a lot of clothes. Just underwear and undershirts.
Before going home Alec stops at Dairy Queen and gets him the chicken strip basket with 6 chicken strips and a large royal New York cheesecake blizzard. It sounded so good Magnus got one then Max wanted the same. By the time they left, the back seat of the car was filled with food for the whole house.
Sigh…. Sticky babies are not fun…
