Hey everyone! I know it has been awhile. No excuses, but I will try to post more often. If this chapter seems a little rushed it's because I just want to get to where my idea for the story actually starts. Hope you enjoy and see you at the bottom.

(In Naruto's Mindscape)

Kurama growled at Naruto, "I thought I told you not to use that power you idiot! I am supposed to be destruction incarnate. What are people going to think about me if you go around healing people like that?"

Naruto backed away from the angry fox slowly, "In my defense... uh. Well, you know we are secretly aligned with the rebel forces of Kiri.

Kurama looked at him with an unimpressed expression, "I am not concerned about the alliances in the human world."

Naruto searched desperately through his mind for some reason to appease the Fox, "...ah! It shows that you are even stronger than death. Not to mention it did take a few years of his life away so that is technically destruction."

Kurama idly walked in a circle while he considered the response. "I can accept that."

Naruto let out a breath he didn't know he was holding.

Kurama laid down and smirked, "But I am not going to use my healing factor to help you with the headache when you wake up."

Naruto's face fell, "Awww com'on. That's not cool. I..." Naruto started to fade from his mindscape signaling that he was waking up.

Naruto's first sensation was a spitting headache. He brought his hands up to his head to massage his temples.

"Welcome back to the world of the living." Kakashi said in a bored tone. "You have some explaining to do." Kakashi snapped his book shut.

Naruto was a little surprised that had closed his book, but figured that this was his serious side. "Is the room secure?"

Kakashi nodded towards the silencing seals on the walls.

Naruto nodded and ran his hand through his long hair. "Well basically the Leaf and the Kiri rebels are secretly aligned. Jiraiya-sensei and I went to negotiate with them sometime last year. We provide them with information and weapons and they promise an alliance when they win."

Kakashi had the same bored look on his face but Naruto could see that his visible eye was moving back and forth trying to comprehend what Naruto had told him. "Ok... but why stop me from killing Zabuza?

Naruto half laughed and then grimaced because of the pain in his head. "Zabuza was recruited by them and is now part of their forces. I didn't want to stir up any trouble."

Kakashi glared at him, "but you wanted to give your sensei more paperwork?! Do you even know how many pages you have to fill out for something top secret... Like 2 pages."

Naruto lifted an eyebrow, "...That's it?"

Kakashi gave him a deadly look, "as hard as I try, I can't read my book and do the report at the same time. That is precious time that will be wasted."

Naruto rolled his eyes, "why don't you use a shadow clone? You know the technique right?"

Kakashi froze and then walked over to the wall and slammed his head against it repeatedly while yelling, "STUPID, STUPID, STUPID..."

Naruto chucked at his antics and notice that his headache was almost gone. Kurama must have partially forgiven him because of the pain he put Kakashi through.

-In Zabuza's room-

Haku sat next to Zabuza's bed with a few hidden senbon hidden in her sleeves.

The door swung open and Haku launched the senbon at the intruder. Naruto surprised her by immediately shutting the door so that the senbon stuck into the back side of it.

She heard him chuckle, "That will teach me to knock." After a pause he knocked on the door and opened it. Haku again threw senbon at him ending with the same result.

Naruto glared at the door. "Now your just being rude... Next person who throws senbons has to abandon their master!"

Naruto opened the door again and Haku stared at him in confusion. 'He is obviously really powerful, but he is acting like a child.'

Naruto greeted her with a salute and turned towards Zabuza, "I know you're awake. Please don't throw anything at me."

Zabuza grunted and he relaxed the grip on the kunai he was about to throw at him, "What do you want?"

"Nothin', but I do have something to give you."

Both Haku and Zabuza tensed when Naruto pulled out a scroll.

Naruto noticed them tense up, "wow. I know I don't like to read, but you guys must hate it if you get that defensive about it." He then showed them the scroll that detailed the next shipment of weapons and information for the movements in the Kiri village."

Zabuza almost smiled, "I reeeaaaally don't like reading."

Naruto laughed and set the scroll down on the bed, "then just do what I do... Give it to someone else and let them deal with it."

-A few days later-

Naruto returned from collecting anything of value from Gato's estate. He paid Zabuza three times the amount promised and gave the rest to the village.

Sasuke and Sakura had only stopped complaining about Zabuza and Haku still being around when Zabuza glared at them menacingly. They still didn't know how this all happened and every time they asked Kakashi he just said it was classified.

The bridge was complete and everyone's spirits were lifted as the two groups of ninja set off to go back home. Neither would find out for a long time that the bridge was given the name: The Great Naruto Bridge.

On the way back to Konoha Team 7 traveled much faster and settled into a decent pace jumping from tree branch to tree branch. Naruto looked at his two teammates. They seemed to have matured a great deal since he had last paid attention to them.

'I suppose having a brush with death will do that to people. Jiraiya said that Akatsuki is full of strong people and I would feel bad if they didn't know what was coming... Plus it would be nice to have some back up that could actually help. First things first, I need to know if Sasuke is willing to admit he needs help.'

Naruto got the attention of his team and they stopped in a clearing in the middle of the forest.

Naruto looked at Sasuke, "I would like to challenge you to a spar since I haven't been present at your training.

Sasuke looked surprised but then grinned in determination as Kakashi sighed in defeat.

Sasuke smirked, "Finally a chance to actually beat up on you."

Naruto looked at Sasuke in a bored manner and held out his hand in a mock taijutsu stance. Sasuke growled at being considered a minimal threat.

Kakashi stood in the middle of them before jumping back as he started the match.

Sasuke flexed his muscles in preparation for the coming fight and activated his sharingan. He dashed forward throwing a flurry of punches and kicks at his blonde teammate.

Naruto's eyes widened fractionally at the new speed Sasuke was showing. Naruto decided to test him by throwing some punches and kicks of his own. Sasuke impressed him with how he would either avoid or block and no matter what would always counter. Naruto smiled at all of his inventive ways to land a hit.

Sasuke was feeling a little desperate because he had not hit Naruto yet and decided to try something really unpredictable. Sasuke transitioned his next attack into a handstand where he started to attack with his feet. This was only a distraction though as he grabbed a handful of dirt. He then transitioned back to standing on his feet and threw a haymaker at the blonde who pushed the attack to the side using the momentum to spin Sasuke around. As Naruto closed to take advantage of the position Sasuke threw the sand in his hand over his should right into Naruto's eyes.

Naruto was caught off guard by the sand in his eyes and felt Sasuke land several blows. Naruto cleared his head and listed as he heard the sound of a leg swinging through the air. He raised his arm to block it which caught Sasuke by surprise, but only for a moment. Naruto met with varying success when blocking attacks until he caught Sasuke's ankle after one of his kicks. Naruto smiled and swung him around threw him.

Naruto rubbed the remaining sand out of his eyes in time to see Sasuke emerge from the forest breathing hard.

"You might as well turn off your sharingan Sasuke, or you just run out of chakra."

Sasuke gritted his teeth and grudgingly deactivated it. He continued to breath hard, he was out of chakra and he knew it.

Naruto crossed his arms, 'Sasuke definitely has promise as a close to mid range fighter and Sakura is great with chakra control. It's time to start treating them as equals and let them know what they are in for.'

"I guess since this team shows promise it is time for me to tell you both something about me. On the night that the Fourth Hokage foght the nine tails he was doomed to fail unless he sealed it into a new born. There's something about not being able to kill a chakra construct. Anyway he sealed it into his son, which as it turns out is me."

Sasuke had caught his breath by now and was just in time to join Sakura in a wide eyed silent stare.

"I am telling you this so you can choose whether you want to stay on this team or be reassigned. You both show great promise and I want you to be on the team that will reshape the world."

Kakashi appeared standing beside Naruto, "I have no doubt that you can become the hero's of this world... With a little teamwork building."

Sasuke crossed his arms and closed his eyes thinking, 'So he is a Namakaze. No wonder he is always beating me. I have to avenge my clan and to do that I will need power...'

Naruto looked at Sasuke in his thinking pose, "I heard about what happened to the Uchiha Clan. I know that you want revenge, but have you thought about what would happen if Itachi has teammates? Itachi is in a class of his own and with back up there is no way you will beat him."

Sasuke opened his eyes, 'Naruto's right... I can't do this alone.' "Very well, but there is one thing I want to know. How strong are you really?"

Naruto ran his hand through his hair and itched the back of his head, "I could probably give Kakashi a run for his money though only because of the ungodly amount of chakra I have."

Kakashi looked at him from the side with one eye, "Then it looks like I have got to start training harder as well." After his statement he put his hand in the middle of the group.

Naruto smiled, "Just try to keep up." Then put his hand on top of Kakashi's.

"Hn." And Sasuke put his hand on Naruto's.

They all looked at Sakura.

Sakura was very conflicted over this reveal and what it meant for her team. 'If I decide to do this I can't let the other two carry my dead weight. Naruto has trusted me with a huge secret. If I'm a good ninja Sasuke is sure to like me, now what could I be good at that they can't.'

Sakura took a step up to the group, "Before I agree I want to know what I can do to even help."

Kakashi spoke up immediately, "You don't have a lot of chakra but you do have a lot of control. So most-likely you will either have great success as a medic or genjutsu specialist."

Sakura's face brightened when she thought of her idol Tsunade who was a medic and also a Sannin.

She nodded and put her hand on top of Sasuke's with a minimal blush.

Kakashi looked at all three of his students, 'This is a dream come true. True team spirit. I will make this the best team there ever was.' "TEAM 7 ON THREE, ONE... TWO... THREE!"

The rest of the team just stared at him. Naruto cleared his throat, "I think this is the most excited I have seen you about anything but a new book release from Jiraiya- Sensei."

Kakashi's one eye fell, "First thing we are going to learn about is how not to abandon one of your teammates in a cheer."

Naruto broke the tension by suggesting they camp in the clearing because of certain details they had to discuss.

After the fire was going and they were all sitting around Naruto cleared his throat to get everyone's attention.

"I want to start by saying that the number one rule for a ninja is deception. Taking this to heart we will be trying to deceive an entire continent until we are ready. Jiraiya has found a group named Akatsuki that is comprised of incredibly powerful ninja, one of which is Itachi."

Sasuke's eyes took on a flaming hatred but his facial expression didn't change.

"Not to mention that Orochimaru was part of the organization until he tried to steal Itachi's body somehow. So we will have to be on the lookout for him because he might try the same thing with Sasuke."

Sasuke again glared but said nothing.

"Lastly the only people who know of our plan is the Hokage, Jiraiya, and us. While we are in front of everyone else we have to make sure not to give away that we are a higher level than higher powered genin."

Naruto looked at Sasuke and Sakura, "Shouldn't be to hard for you two until you start improving."

Sasuke growled menacingly and steam came out of Sakura's ears before she stood up and karate chopped the middle of his head."

Naruto was surprised by how much it hurt and yelled, "OOOUUCH," while he rubbed his head where he was sure a bump was starting to form.

Sasuke Smirked as the rest of the team laughed at the site.
