Chapter One: June's the Wrong Day

Yasu wandered the hallways of the high school, searching for something or someone… "What'cha doing Yasu?" Yasu jumped a little as her bubbly companion, Isuzu, popped up next to her. Yasu replied in her monotone, "Searching for the Guru." Isuzu asked, "What makes you think he's here?" Yasu replied, "She goes here to learn." Isuzu scratched her head, confused, "But I thought she was the balance of time and space. Doesn't that like make her super smart?" Yasu turned to her and said, "The mortals do not know and it's part of their customs to send their children to these educational centers for most of their days." Isuzu pouted, "That's awful! I could never, ever do that!" Yasu showed a small smirk, "That's why Father destroyed our schools." Glass shattered in a nearby room and a small groan escaped the throat of a young high school girl. Yasu immediately entered the room, Isuzu on her tail, to see the Knights in the classroom. All of the students, except three, left the room in a screaming frenzy. Yasu turned to the girl whose hand was pierced with a kunai knife to the blackboard. Her violet hair, beaded on some strands, was pulled back into a bun, revealing her azure eyes. Isuzu stumbled over to the other three and exclaimed joyfully, "Thank god you guys are here!" Yasu glanced back over at the three individuals and rolled her eyes, 'Great. Father sent them to protect her. What was he thinking?' The Knights suddenly attacked the unsuspecting assassins. Isuzu pulled out her fans and threw a gust of wind at two of them, thrusting them back out the window. One of the three students took out her concealed bow and arrows and fired them at five more of the Knights. One boy took out his sword, which transformed into a huge kickass sword, and started slashing at the other Knights. The other boy pulled out his sword; however, it did not become as massive as the first. Yet, it had its own specialties. Yasu decided to join her team and fight. Before she could even pull out her concealed weapons, the Knights disappeared. "Damn it…" She muttered. She turned to her team and asked, "So why are you guys here?" The younger boy told her, "Keh. What don't ya ask Father for all I care?" The girl told her, "Father wanted her to be protected until you came." "What's going on here?" The five turned to see the other girl holding the bloody kunai in her hand while blood dripped onto the tile floor. They remained silent as she sighed, "Fine. If you won't talk then I will leave." She turned and walked towards the door. However, the older boy stood in her way, saying in a monotone, "You cannot leave." The girl started to say, "Well, if you aren't gonna move, I'll have…" Suddenly, she fell on her knees, clenching her stomach tight. Isuzu bent down and asked, "What's wrong?" The girl spit up blood on the floor. She muttered, "Esaeler eht urug." Isuzu asked, confused, "What?" She said louder, "Esaeler eht urug." She spat up more blood before fainting. Isuzu, being as confused as ever, asked, "So what are we supposed to do now?" Everyone sighed; Isuzu had a lot to learn.
