Yo, Welcome back.
I feel like last chapter didn't display enough of Naruto's character. So to rectify that, i'll attempt to show as many sides of him as i can in this chapter.
Hope you losers enjoy this chapter as it's going to be quite lengthy, if i do say so myself.
⁂
The young prince gazed up at the beautiful stars as they twinkled and illuminated the night sky above the Royal Palace Garden. He had a solemn expression etched onto his face as the grim thoughts of his younger brother's screams and pleas for mercy were still fresh on his conscious.
A day had passed since Zuko was exiled from the Fire Nation. He was sent away with the stigma that he could only return after successfully capturing the Avatar, an Air Nomad who'd just barely managed to escape before Fire Lord Sozin had them all massacred. The bald bastard had managed to evade capture for over a hundred years! Zuko would need a miracle to find him.
Naruto sighed in defeat for what seemed like the thousandth time today, as he sat between a sakura tree and a small pond. "I'm a horrible brother," he whispered to himself, resting his back against the tree as another wave of guilt washed over him. This was mostly his fault to begin with, he thought. He was the one who'd gotten distracted and blinded by his own selfishness and Zuko had to pay the price. "I should have been there to protect him," he mumbled to himself, with tears forming in his eyes.
"Repeatedly blaming yourself will never solve your problems," spoke the newly arrived Ursa as she sat down beside him before locking her son in a long embrace. "You either take responsibility and do something about it, or you just let it go" she said, massaging his shoulders. "Besides, he'll be going with your Uncle Iroh, so he'll be more than protected." She finished, giving him one of her signature smiles.
Naruto and Iroh had at the very least, a complicated relationship; or no relationship at all. His uncle had always been very distant to him, the man even outright refused to teach him fire bending. He could tell the old general had something against him. The man even went as far as telling Naruto that his future was nothing but great destruction and turmoil. This left a young Naruto confused as it was a sharp contrast to what everyone else had said to him. The young boy had never forgiven the general for his words; not that he'd ever asked for it anyways.
"You should be getting rest, Naruto. You know you have a very big day coming up," she sighed, draping one of her slender arms over his shoulder and looking down at him. "General Naruto~" she whispered in a sultry tone before giggling a bit as she pulled him into her large bust.
He didn't fight it. His mother always smelled amazing, feminine and inviting. Hell, she looked even more angelic as the full moon shown down, illuminating her visage as she smiled at him. Naruto couldn't help but feel a slight heat rising in his cheeks as he stared up at her. He was sure he'd end up full scale blushing if this kept up.
Whatever mother-son moment they were having was ultimately lost though as Ursa took it a step further, placing one of her flawless, slender fingers under his chin and tilted his head up as she captured his lips with her own soft pair. She moaned a bit as she felt her sons tongue invade her mouth and replace the previously chaste kiss with a far more heated one.
The two remained cuddled up and sharing deep kisses like that for a few more minutes as they just enjoyed their moment together.
Not a morally correct moment, but a moment nonetheless.
He sure ashell was gonna miss this while away on his journey.
Later That Night
Naruto slowly stood up, rubbing the sleep out of his eyes as he took in this new change of scenery. He could've sworn he'd fallen asleep underneath a beautiful sakura tree with a face full of bosom, but now he seemed to be in some type of ...'boiler room?' He thought with a pause as he took a step only to feel water submerge his feet. 'Yellowish liquid on the floor...?' He was beyond confused at this point.
"Where the hell am I?" He said to himself as he approached what seemed to be a gigantic gate with a tag in the center.
"This is your subconscious," a disembodied voice answered. "In other words, my prison," It Finished.
"Who are you!? Show yourself!" Naruto shouted as he pointed to the cage where the mysterious voice was coming from, only to receive no answer.
"My name is Kurama. I am an ancient spirit from a distant world that was sent here alongside you, Naruto Uzumaki. Upon the date of your birth, I was sealed into you by your dreaded father but something went wrong and we both ended up here." The voice said without pause.
"My father's spirit has since visited me and given me the task of guiding you to your destiny and educating you in the lost Art of Shinobi. As for my appearance... i'd rather it not be revealed," Kurama stated with his confident tone turning shameful at the mention of his appearance.
The demon was now grinning mentally at the flawless half lie he'd just told along with the excellent acting skills he'd displayed. "For now though, let's focus on what's truly important," he said with a pause for dramatic affect. "Unlocking your full potential as a Shinobi."
Naruto, being completely oblivious to the nefarious intentions of the 'spirit', fell right into its trap.
"Uzumaki? Father? Destiny? Shinobi? Full potential?" Naruto overloaded with questions. He'd never heard of an 'Uzumaki'. Hell, he grew up thinking he didn't even have a biological father. He already knew that he was destined to be the next Fire Lord and to be the most powerful bender of all time; at least that's what everyone had led him to believe. And shinobi? What in Sozins name was a shinobi?
"Besides how are you going to teach me anything if i can't even see you?" He huffed as he folded his arms over his chest.
"My appearance does not-" Kurama tried to argue only for a begging Naruto to cut him off.
"Pleaseee?"
"No."
"Pretty pleaseee?"
"Haah..." Kurama sighed in resignation. Shortly after, the darkness that had previously enveloped his cage was lifted, revealing a massive auburn colored fox that was pinned to what seemed to be an even larger asteroid.
Naruto stared in shock and awe. The fox had to be at least DOUBLE the size of The Great Gates of Azulon! The behemoth could likely stand toe to toe with the volcano that the Royal Palace sat atop and still be taller!
"I know I'm hideous, you don't have to stare," Kurama stated as he lowered his head with a look of shame.
"What? Hideous? That's not a word i'd use to describe you. You're more of a walking natural disaster. Seriously, your tails could probably wipe out an entire city on accident!" The boy shouted with a smile and thumbs up.
He was definitely not helping Kurama's fake confidence problem.
"Hey! I didn't ask to look like this!" Kurama shouted with anger etched onto his face. "It was your vile clan that snatched my soul away from my body and sealed my consciousness into this abhorrent form, dooming me to a lifetime of discomfort," He finished as he drew attention to the large rock he was pinned to.
"Geez, really?" Naruto questioned. His clan must've really been a bunch of assholes. "Is there anyway i can help you? Maybe get you a change of scenery and help you off that rock?" he asked, wanting to help his new friend.
"Actually, yes. Yes you can." Kurama replied. His plan was being put into action now. "You see that seal tag right there, Naruto?"
"Yeah?"
"peel it back a tiny bit."
"Sure!" Naruto said as the liquid on the floor began swirling and carried him up to the paper.
Kurama watched with a grin as Naruto removed a bit of the seal. There was a reason he'd told the idiot child to only remove a portion of the tag.
He could not only sense traces of Minato and Kushina's chakra lingering around, but thanks to this new world and its connection to spirits he could now SEE a piece of Minato's soul in the seal. No doubt a failsafe for him to be summoned from the reapers belly and into the seal should Naruto, or anyone else for that matter, be dumb enough to remove it.
There was also another presence in the seal but it was fleeting and he couldn't get an accurate read on it as it's signal was so weak.
Kurama sighed in relief as naruto removed a tenth of the seal and willed him free of the asteroid.
"So how do i change the scenery?" The boy asked, still wanting to help his new friend.
"Just focus and think about what you want it to look like" Kurama said as his voice changed slightly. (Think Master Splinter from TMNT 2012) His form also changed into that of a well built middle aged man of above average height with fair skin and piercing red eyes. He now had sleek black hair that was covered by a pointed light brown amigasa hat. (Think Nanashi from Sword of a Stranger). His clothing was very simple, being a navy blue sleeveless robe and a pair of baggy black pants along with black sandals. (Think Yasuke from...well Yasuke). As for his weaponry, he was equipped with a long navy blue katana that rested on his pelvis.
Naruto quickly complied as he thought of a glowing full moon shining down on a large bamboo forest that surrounded a warm looking cottage and small pond that was swimming with koi.
"Okay so, are you going to teach me some old form of bending or something?" he asked, genuinely curious now.
"No silly." Kurama spoke with a deep chuckle. "I am going to be teaching you something far more efficient...and stronger" he answered with a smug tone, purposely letting his words trail on in an attempt to draw the boy in even more.
The demon's plan seemed to work as Naruto ran up to the stairs of the cottage where he was sitting and began bombarding him with questions. "Stronger than bending?" the boy queried with a very interested look on his face. "Tell me at once!" he demanded.
"To get to that, we must start from the beginning." The spirit man said as he patted a spot on the stairs beside him. "It all started when my father, The sage of Six Paths, usurped his mother, The evil moon spirit, and took control of the Land of Fire..." he spoke in a sagely tone as he began telling a very twisted and inaccurate tale of the NarutoVerse lore.
One Week Later
The blonde had his now signature bored look on his face whilst sitting in front of a large golden framed mirror. He was in deep thought as three maidens buzzed around him, styling his hair.
Today was his day. His first time outside of the Palace, his first time leading a fleet, and his first chance to test his newfound abilities. He'd been so caught up in his training and strategizing with Kurama that he'd neglected all else. He hadn't spoke to anyone in a full week! But his tenant couldn't care less as Naruto could barely even close his eyes without getting dragged back into his subconscious for more training and lectures.
In the week that the two had known each other, it was obvious that Kurama had left a massive impression on the boy. Naruto had removed the sleeves of his black and gold kimono, began wearing a pointed light brown amigasa hat along with sandals, and tied a thick white cloth around his waist to hold the expensive new sword he'd had commissioned so he could be more like his teacher.
Said blade had a golden, oval shaped guard, and the tsuka-ito(1) was braided with white and dark blue material. The blade also featured several intricate ornaments, most notably, a golden dragon head with green gems for eyes that sat at the endpoint of the hilt. (Think the Yamato sword from DMC 5).
The blade's scabbard/sheath was also highly customized as it featured a gilded dragon that stretched along its entire length.
It was obvious that he'd spared no expense when it came to his sword.
Now that he thought about it though, he had learned A LOT over the past week. Kurama had told him tales of his life before being captured and sealed, He'd told him stories of the many men, women, and children he'd slain in the name of his Nation, He'd also told him about his clan, The Uzumaki. According to Kurama, they were a bloodthirsty group of shinobi who had no morals as they hunted him and his siblings and drained them of their chakra to boost themselves and future generations of Uzumaki to come before sealing them away.
This caused Naruto to feel pity towards the spirit and resentment towards his original family. He'd swore to Kurama that one day he'd be able to free him from his prison and return him to his Human form. The two had also came up with plans to one day return to their previous world and hunt his clan into extinction as retribution.
Other than his history and knowledge about the 'Elemental Nations' as they called themselves, Kurama had taught him the basics of chakra and the five main elements. Over the week of training, Naruto's 'Prodigious Child' title proved to be true as he had managed to master multiple jutsu of each element and many other basic jutsu. Turns out that chakra stuff truly was more versatile and deadly. The 'Jutsu', as Kurama called them, ranged from almost teleportation to giant dragons made of lightning. Kurama had also given him access to his innate abilities as his host and as an Uzumaki.
According to the spirit man, Naruto would be given chakra reserves comparable to that of a tailed beast, black flames rumored to be as hot as the sun, and great longevity. Kurama purposely left out the part about chakra chains though as they'd just be a hindrance to his plans.
Naruto was brought out of his musings when he heard a hard knock on his door. "Prince Naruto! Your fleet and palanquin will be ready within three minutes" the man shouted before his footsteps could be heard moving down the hall.
Luckily, the maidens had just finished his hair, leaving his originally wild blond locs tamed and forced into a sleek top knot that was being held in place by his ancient royal hairpiece.
Naruto quickly hopped up from his chair, grabbing his amigasa and placing it on his back before heading for the exit of the palace. Once he'd walked out of the palace doors, he was surprised to find a huge parade of citizens cheering his name and wishing him well on his journey.
And was that a giant floaty of a ten year old him?
It wasn't everyday that they got to see the crowned prince of the Fire Nation. They hadn't seen the boy in years!
Naruto smiled and waved to the crowd as he began approaching his crimson colored palanquin with golden trim. It had two small steps that lead to his seat, which was a red cushion. The palanquin was emblazoned by a golden sculpture of a dragon with glowing green gems that promised pain and misfortune for eyes.
He continued smiling as he stepped into the palanquin and closed the curtain behind him.
A Fire Sage struck a gong and the palanquin bearers lifted it off the ground and began their slow march to the docking area.
The crowd never stopped cheering.

A Tsuka-ito is the grip/handle of a traditional katana.
At the Harbor
He was again, caught by surprise as the ship looked far bigger than he remembered. It was obscenely large and was labeled a Yamato Class Destroyer(2). The ships name was 'Great Harmony' and it was about 1,129ft long and could hold up to 4,000 crew members at max capacity and fit 16 regular sized cruisers and an assortment of other types of smaller vehicles inside its bay.
The massive battleship screamed royalty and promised suffering to all who opposed it. It had four smoke stacks instead of the typical two. It's railings and edges were lined with gold as well as the roof of its massive comm-tower. The ships bow -like Naruto's palanquin- was emblazoned by a golden sculpture of a dragon head that had glowing green gems that promised pain and misfortune for eyes . The massive sculpture acted as intimidation, a docking device, and a lethal ram.
One would think that with all that luxury, it couldn't be a capable battleship, right? Right...?
The six gigantic trebuchet's, the armor that could withstand almost any attack, and a top speed that outclassed most cruisers said otherwise.
All in all, the ship was a beautiful testament to the Fire Nations technological and naval superiority. Ozai had commissioned this ship specifically for Naruto to send a message to the world that the Fire Nation ruled the seas and any attempt to fight back would be futile.
'It's beautiful,' he thought to himself as he walked onto the deck.
Ozai had gifted him this ship on his tenth birthday, but due to him being sheltered and never allowed to leave the palace, it was promptly retired.
Until Now!
Many were glad to see it finally being put to use as a ship this expensive and deadly couldn't just go to waste.
"Your Grace!" Shouted a long line of about 30 Imperial Firebenders as they each dropped to a knee and removed their helmets, in a show of respect.
"Good morning, men" Naruto replied, his voice loud and steady (something he'd learned from Kurama)
"As you all may know," he spoke as he began walking down the line of soldiers. "A few weeks back, the unthinkable happened. A large breakout occurred at the highest security prison in the Fire Nation, the Boiling Rock." he finished as he continued his pacing.
"And as it turns out, the escapees thought it would be a good idea to align themselves with a group of rogue firebenders and earthbenders to form a rebellion. Said rebellion has captured a top of the line Fire Nation resort, Ember Island."
"Our mission is to depart to Ember Island and commandeer it. Once we have regained control of the island, half of you will accompany me to the Boiling Rock and the rest of you will remain behind and make sure that any form of insurgency is eradicated, Am i understood!?" He shouted as he raised a flaming hand into the air.
"Yes! Your Grace!" The benders and crew hands all cheered as they began their short trip to Ember Island.
All who opposed the Fire Nation deserved to be met with flames and burned to ash.
Info Card #2
A Yamato Class Destroyer is a class of battleship I came up with. As you guys may be able to tell, i took heavy inspiration from the real life Yamato Battleship (The largest battleship ever created). This ship class is a step up from the Royal Sloops that the Fire Nation used in canon. The Yamato class Destroyers are basically just larger, Faster, more heavily armed, and more technologically advanced Royal Sloops.
Late night, five days later.
Naruto awoke with a tired groan. Their originally short trip had been prolonged by some massive storm and he was utterly restless. Sleeping alone in a cold bed on a violently swaying battleship was something very new to him, as was waking up with severe morning wood everyday and having no-one to cure it for him.
The ships Royal Quarter was slightly smaller than his room in the palace, but no less ornate. The room had a huge platform style bed that was covered by maroon colored, silk bedsheets and golden pillows. The walls were lined with torches, and large red Fire Nation banners draped down the walls, thus giving the room an orangish-red hue.
All in all, the quarters was very reminiscent of his room in the palace, Naruto thought to himself. Yet for some reason, it felt so foreign. Something was missing. No, someone was missing.
Brushing those intrusive thoughts aside, Naruto pushed the covers off of himself and began his slow trek to the door. He groggily grabbed his pointed amigasa, before strapping it onto his head, as It would protect him from the rain. He needed some fresh air to clear his conscious.
Minutes later, Naruto could be seen in deep meditation. He was in a kneeling position on the deck of the ship with his sheathed Katana laying in front of him as the massive ship was rocked by the howling winds and crashing currents.
The storm seemed to worsen at the sight of him, as thunder began to boom and heavy rain poured from the heavens.
Inside the seal
Naruto's eyes were covered by a thick white cloth as he remained on high alert. According to Kurama, learning not to reply solely on one's vision was vital to becoming a great 'Ronin' as he called himself.
'The life of a ronin is a very dangerous and unpredictable one. Your vision can be taken from you at a moments notice, whether it be by smoke screen, or an enemies blade. The result will always the same.' Kurama had told him.
"You must use your surroundings to your advantage," Kurama said as five faceless swordsmen of many sizes, all equipped with different forms of weaponry, surrounded his student with their swords drawn and slowly began zoning in on him.
Naruto let out a calming breath before unsheathing his elegantly crafted katana and holding it in-front of himself.
Kurama watched in anticipation as the crystal clear water of the pond reflected off of the boys gleaming silver blade. He wanted Naruto to be patient, sure, but he was also itching to see some action dammit! Enough of this standoff bullshit!
Naruto's ears perked as the five armed men charged in an attempt to dogpile him. The boy waited patiently for them to get close enough before swiftly shifting to the side just in time to avoid a slash from a massive sword. 'No doubt a great sword' he thought to himself as he maneuvered around the man, before swiftly amputating the large swordsman's dominant arm and sweeping his leg, aswell as slapping an explosive tag on him.
He didn't have time to confirm the kill though as he heard a wizzing sound; indicating that an attack was coming. Naruto acted quickly, as he brought his katana up to guard.
'Tanto,' he thought to himself as a much small blade made contact with his. Naruto ducked back before sheathing his katana and quickly closing the distance between him and the dagger wielding assailant. He knew the weakness of a Tanto was its lackluster defense and range, so he began punching toward the man, send multiple mini fire balls before he hopped forward and outstretched his arms; sending a massive wall of orange flames at the faceless man, killing him too.
Woosh
Naruto quickly dropped down to the floor, dodging a wide slash from what he thought to be an odachi. Thinking quickly, Naruto rolled away from the man in time to evade a downward stab to the face, before pulling himself to his feet.
As he rose to his feet he began swaying his arms in a circular motion. Naruto listened intently as he heard the man begin running towards him.
Right into his trap.
The water beneath the man quickly froze over sending him slipping and sliding towards Naruto who hopped forward and sent a flaming punch straight through his chest. The man dissolved into a puddle shortly after.
'Three down,' Naruto thought to himself as he weaved backwards and under a punch and roundhouse kick, only to be kneed in his lower back, sending him sliding forward. 'Two to go,' He thought with a grunt of pain.
The blond stood still for a moment, catching his breath.
Without hesitation, one of the last two men jumped high into the air and began launching hundreds of what seemed to be small daggers in his direction.
Naruto quickly stomped the ground as five rectangular columns of earth shot up to defend him. A few seconds later, the projectile storm had finally died down. Naruto raised both of his arms to the sky before punching forward, causing multiple new columns to rise up and charge toward his attackers location at breakneck speeds, crushing him.
Naruto wiped away a bit of sweat that was forming on his brow, as his ears perked up once more. Seconds later he drew his katana and held it above himself in a defensive manner.
Cling
"Katana," he said to himself as the two swords clashed, sending small sparks through the air. The two fiercely fought to overpower one another, trying to break each others guards. But Naruto just smirked to himself before removing one of his hands from its original place on his tsuka-ito and forming a 'Ram' seal with it.
Black flames roared to life as they coated his silver blade and melted through the mans katana with ease.
Naruto capitalized on the mans temporary weakness by stomping the ground and bursting forward, kneeing the swordsman in the solar-plexus causing him to drop to his knees as the ground beneath him began to shift and encased his lower body in stone; immobilizing him.
Naruto showed the faceless test dummy no mercy though as he body flickered behind the kneeling man with his back turned to him and his katana in a reverse-grip before swiftly finishing him. (Think Ash's 'Sight Unseen' finisher from Apex Legends).
'I'm so badass,' he thought to himself dreamily, only for his tenant to ruin his little moment.
"Are you gonna keep fawning over yourself, or are we gonna move on to the next exercise?" The demon in disguise groaned. (Yes that's a transformers reference. Deal with it.)
⁂
Many hours later.
"General! General!" Shouted one of the older deck hands as he waved his calloused hand in-front of the young blonds face, trying to get his attention.
"What?" Naruto calmly asked as he seemingly woke from his trance.
"We're here!" The older man said with a big smile as he reached into his pocket and retrieved a medium sized ornate box and handed it to the prince. "And a royal messenger hawk left this for you," He finished.
Naruto yawned a bit, finally rising from his kneeling meditation position and returning his sword to its place on his waist before grabbing the small red box.
"Thank you for informing me, Captain Wu," the blond said as he pocketed the box.
The storm that had previously plagued their them had all but disappeared, and was replaced by sunny skies and fluffy clouds.
Naruto glanced toward the island with a frown. He could see the eleven Fire Nation ships that the escapees had stolen. They were being used as a blockade, so none of the tourists could leave.
Seeing this, he cleared his throat before enhancing his voice with chakra so that his entire fleet could hear him. "Wedge Formation! We must block off the bay as it's their only means of escape! Great Harmony will be the lead!" He shouted with a pause. "Once we dock, hold your fire until i give the signal." He finished, watching as the ships scrambled to follow his orders.
It took the large fleet of ships about three minutes to get within range of what seemed to be the lead ship of the blockade.
The rebels immediately began firing.
What followed was an absolute massacre. Naruto's fleet severely outmatched theirs, his ships were more advanced, his ships had FAR more artillery and with Great Harmony leading the charge, their blockade was reduced to nothingness in a moments notice.
All it took was a minute, and he'd already destroyed the ragtag blockade and lined the beach with his massive ship and fleet.
The large group of rebels and escapees were paralyzed in fear as the golden dragon head glared down at them, Its jade eyes seemed to glow with nefarious intentions as it relished in the absolutely colossal shadow Great Harmony had created. Seriously the monstrous ship had almost blotted out the sun from their point of view.
With a loud hiss, the bows of each ship in the fleet began to drop simultaneously, as hundreds of soldiers marched down the ramps and poured out onto the beach.
"Surrender now, and we won't hurt you-!" Naruto shouted before pausing as what seemed to be the leader of the insurgency stepped forward.
He was a brolic tan-skinned man with oily black hair and a freakishly strong jaw. No doubt an earth bender. He wore a forest green kimono that he'd most likely stolen from one of the tourists and a pair of baggy beige pants.
The mans dark eyes narrowed as he glared at Naruto before turning his back to him and facing his vastly outnumbered rebellion mates.
"Men!" He shouted with power and conviction in his voice. "Have you all given up so qui-" He tried to say but was cut off as a bolt of lightning struck him in the center of his back, killing him instantly.
"As much," Naruto said with a devilish grin plastered across his face as all hell broke loose.
Naruto just stood on the bow of Great Harmony and watched as his elite fire benders absolutely destroyed the already demoralized rebellion.
It didn't take long to subdue the criminals as they outnumbered them, one to fifteen.
Once all of the criminals were bound by chains and on their knees, Naruto descended from his ship and began taunting them as he led them aboard and showed them to their new temporary homes in the Brig.
Later
Naruto entered his quarters with a frown on his face. "That mission was a total waste of my time and my talents," he grumbled to himself as he plopped onto his comfy bed before reaching into his pocket and pulling out the box.
"Might aswell see what it is eh, Kurama? It might be instructions from Ozai to go on an ACTUAL mission," Naruto said. But because of the feminine smell of the box, he doubted that was the case.
When he opened the box, he felt all of his anger get washed away and replaced by hunger.
Inside the box was a simple black bento box with a note on it.
"Gods i love that woman," he sighed to himself as he dug in. The ship food wasn't bad at the start but it got progressively worse and worse the more their mission was prolonged. Whoever stocked the ship clearly didn't take weather into account, a mistake that would cost them dearly once he had returned.
After finishing his meal, he retreated to his mindscape.
"Seriously! I didn't even have to use any strategy! Hell i didn't even have to fight," He sneered, his voice significantly louder than usual.
Kurama sat silently upon the set of stairs that led to his comfy looking bamboo cottage and listened to the boy rant for a while before speaking.
"Tea?" the demon offered.
"Thanks Kurama," the boy said, taking a cup, and momentarily forgetting about his rage. "They all just gave up as soon as we docked!" He complained before sipping his tea with a frown.
"Wasn't that the point?" Kurama inquired. "Your fleet was deployed to send a message," the spirit paused, enjoying the way Naruto hung on his every word as he sipped his tea. "Not to fight a war." He stated.
'Damn you and your wisdom' Naruto cursed him mentally.
"I heard that," Kurama responded, narrowing his piercing red eyes.
"Oh yeah," the boy said sheepishly as he began rubbing the back of his neck.
"Though I too am quite disappointed in the difficulty of this 'mission', if you could call it that. I was really hoping to see my teachings in action." He finished with a small smile as he patted the spot next to him on the stairs, which Naruto eagerly took.
"All i wanted to do was help," the blond sighed as he leaned against his teacher and closest friend. He genuinely hated seeing troops return unsuccessful. It always made him feel like precious Fire Nation life was being ripped away for nothing as his families plan to 'save the world' had grinded to a steady halt. Thousands of Fire Nation men and women died during the sieges of Ba Sing Se and the many failed expeditions to the North Pole.
"Besides, if i'd known it was going to be this easy i would've brought mother along," Naruto said.
He needed to get home. He had gone a solid two weeks without any sexual alleviation.
He was a chad, don't get me wrong, but not that much of a chad.
The journey to the Boiling Rock had been long and strenuous. It had taken another day just to get there and according to the ship captain, they'd need another day to repair damages, restock, and fuel up.
"What are we going to do, Kurama?" He asked his tenant as they shared a map. "I'm soooo bored"
"Hmm, we could travel to the Sun Warriors ancient city ruins," The man said. "It would take about seven hours worth of time to get there and seven hours back,"
"What are we gonna do there? Look at old rocks?" Naruto stated with sarcasm leaking from his voice.
"Yes"
"Beats waiting around here doing nothing" Kurama said.
"Good Point," The blond said. And so they began their small journey to the Sun Warriors' ancient city.
Ancient Sun Warriors' City
It had taken him a few hours to get here, but he'd finally made it. The boy had decided on taking a small cruiser from Great Harmony's bay and set off on his own. He left a message behind for his fleet of course, telling them he'd return before the night was over.
'Careful Naruto,' He heard his mentors voice ring through his head as he stepped on the island. "Why? The Sun Warriors died off a long, long time ago. there's nothing to worry about," Naruto responded.
'Use your Chi/Chakra sensing,' was the demons short reply.
Naruto used his sensory, and true to Kurama's word, he sensed about fifty humans, and three unknown entities. Two of said entities were quite powerful, a bit stronger than a master Firebender. The third entity though, was a completely different story as It was around Iroh's level and seemed to still be growing.
Naruto might've hated the man but even he couldn't deny that Iroh was no slouch.
Naruto began walking towards the center of the ruins while keeping an eye on the humans. It seemed as if they'd noticed his presence as they were rapidly closing in on his location.
Naruto continued his long walk until he came face to face with a large mural. The mural depicted two large dragons teaching a sun warrior to firebend.
"Hey Kurama, do you think that those three entities are dragons?" Naruto questioned as he continued walking.
"I do." Was his short reply.
It didn't take Naruto long to find the Sunstone chamber. Being curious, he approached the door and gave it a few experimental knocks. When he received no answer he shrugged to himself as he swept his legs forward before rising again and swirling his hands in a circular motion, causing a massive lash of black flames to roar to life before it slammed into the door.
Naruto waited patiently as the doors melted away revealing a massive chamber. He stared in awe as he walked in and observed the statues. It didn't take long for him to realize that these movements were very reminiscent of the way the dragons were moving in the mural.
"Summon a clone and try them," Kurama said, he theorized that since the dragons had four limbs and humans only had two, they had to make up for it somehow.
Naruto didn't hesitate as he summoned a lightning clone and began mimicking the statues. After he'd done all of the steps and connected fists with his clone, a large pedestal rose out of the floor.
"There it is!" Naruto said in excitement as he'd just found the most powerful of the three entities. His smile faltered though as he realized it was just some golden egg, there was no dragon in sight.
"A very powerful spirit is trapped within that egg, Naruto," Kurama said. "Oh the irony," he snickered.
Hearing this, Naruto quickly grabbed the egg only to realize it was booby trapped when a geyser appeared and began spewing green liquid everywhere.
Naruto immediately body flickered to the exit. He was NOT about to get trapped on some ancient island with a bunch of dragon worshipping freaks.
"PUT THE SUNSTONE DOWN, NOW!"
'Speak of the shirtless freak and he shall appear' Naruto mused to himself, earning a low snicker from Kurama as he turned to face the man.
Naruto replied with a simple "No."
"You don't understand! That stone will draw out your darkest desires and emotions! It targets and brings out the worst parts of you!" He shouted trying to reason with the boy. When he noticed that his words had no effect, he tried again. "If Yulong(3) is released from his prison, he will destroy the entirety of the spirit world, and mankind as we know it!" Stated the man who Naruto had now deduced to be the chief, if his massive headpiece was any indicator.
'Oh he's definitely over compensating for something with that headpiece,'Naruto thought to himself with a snicker at his culturally insensitive comment. Surprisingly though, Kurama made no remarks.
"The Avatar is a spirit right?" Naruto questioned innocently. The chief looked slightly surprised by his question but answered truthfully nevertheless.
"Yes. Why?"
"So if i were to free this 'Yulong' fellow, he'd end the avatar cycle aswell, right?"
The Chief, being completely unaware of Naruto's heritage and position as 'Crowned Prince of the Fire Nation', again answered truthfully.
"That is correct?" he answered, this time with a questioning look in his eyes.
Before the two could converse anymore though, a scrawny looking man ran over to the chief and whispered something into his ear.
Naruto watched as the chief's facial expression slowly morphed into one of pure panic and mortification. The scrawny man had definitely spotted his imperial cruiser.
The chief slowly walked over to Naruto before dropping to his hands and knees and speaking. "Please, your grace, do not do this" the man said, his tone low and shaky.
"I will agree to not free him on ONE condition," Naruto started with his eyes closed and his index finger raised. "Take me to your dragons."
The chief sighed. He had to make a choice, betray his friends and give up his entire life's goal by leading this Fire Nation hellspawn to Ran and Shaw. Or sit back and watch as the blond caused the end of the world.
His answer was obvious to all who'd heard the options.
Info Card #3
Yulong is an ancient spirit dragon OC I've created. He was brought into existence at the same time as Raava and Vaatu.
None of the Sun Warriors spoke a word as they led the blond to their century-long allies. It hurt them to know that they'd be betraying the dragons, but they had no other choice.
A short walk later and Naruto stood in between two massive mountains. "Where are the dragons?" the boy questioned with a sneer as he threatened to destroy the stone.
"W-we have to draw them out, N-naruto" The chief stuttered. He knew the boy was being subtly influenced by Yulong so he was walking on eggshells.
"It's Lord Naruto to you, Peasant" The boy hissed. He was becoming impatient.
"Y-yes, Lord Naruto." The large man said as signaled for the drummers to begin.
The sun warriors quickly began humming and chanting as loud drums played and they formed circles of fire in their hands.
Naruto quickly created a shadow clone to leave in his place as he began using his fire to propel himself up the mountain of stairs with the sunstone in hand.
The chief didn't have time to be surprised by the complete doppelgänger of the boy as his old friends Ran and Shaw made their appearance. The dragons seemed angered by the lack of primordial flame and made to destroy the blond.
Naruto just watched as the two massive dragons -one red and one blue- charged at him with open mouths and full intentions to kill him. He smirked to himself as they both stopped dead in their tracks once they got within an inch of him.
"Good dragons," Naruto said with a sadistic smile as he watched the two dragons submit to him.
The blond slowly approached the red dragon and placed a hand on its head. "What's your name?" He asked.
The creature unhinged its jaws but no physical sounds came out. Naruto Instead heard a deep and raspy serpent-like voice in his head.
"Shaw " The voice drawled with a hiss at the end.
"And yours?" He questioned as he turned to the blue one.
"Ran" The blue one said, it's voice slight lighter and more feminine that it's red counterpart.
Naruto smiled at that, they had completely submitted to him as all things should.
"I require two things from you both," Naruto said as he began running his hand along Rans scales.
"Anything for you, Lord Naruto" They both said in unison.
"First things first, I want you both to fuse. I am one man, I do not require two of you." He said as he ran his hand across one of Rans horns. "Second, I want you to teach me your variant of fire bending." He finished before stepping back.
The two dragons shared a long look at they both flapped their wings and rose into the air before shooting forward and coiling themselves around each other repeatedly until a large blue pillar of energy surrounded them.
Naruto and The Sun warriors watched in awe as the two dragons had fused and become one.
Now floating above them was a much larger Azure-scaled dragon. The massive dragon now had yellowish armor plates lining its underside, long black hair training down its spine, two sets of jagged horns, and even sharper claws and fangs. (Think Kaidou's Dragon Form from ONE PIECE)
Naruto retained his smirk when the massive dragon descended and bowed its head to him again.
"I am in everlasting servitude to you for as long as you keep my father, Yulong, contained" the dragon spoke, It's voice actually being heard now. It was a blend of Ran and Shaws.
"Deal," Naruto spoke as he mounted the dragons head and coated his hand in Amaterasu.
As a child, he'd heard tales of his great grandfather Sozin, conquering his dragon Fang, before imbuing it with his flames. If he could do that to his dragon and make it spit his black flames he'd be unstoppable.
"I think i'll name you Qīn," He said as he pressed his flaming hand into the dragons forehead.
Qīn gave no visible reaction instead just closing its eyes and resigning to its fate.
The Sun Warriors watched on in sadness as they listened to the two converse. Said sadness quickly turned to fear when Naruto looked over his shoulder and gave them a wicked smile before mounting the massive dragon.
Almost as if a silent command was issued -which there was- Qīn stared at them aswell as it rose into the air before unhinging its jaws and releasing a massive breath of black flames that incinerated everything they touched.
Naruto watched with a smirk as Qīn razed the entire island to the ground, leaving nothing but a barren wasteland behind.
The blond grabbed the Sunstone and placed a small kiss on it. 'Bring out your darkest desires and emotions my ass! This thing is awesome!' Naruto thought to himself before sealing it into one of Qīn's scales as he ordered the dragon to return him to his ship.
"One helluva trip, eh Kurama?" Naruto said with his eyes closed as he'd just entered his mindscape. He frowned when he got no response and opened his eyes to see his mentor sitting on the stairs of his cottage with his brow and eyes obscured by his amigasa as he hung his head low.
'That's strange' Naruto thought to himself. His mentor had always told him to keep his head high and never falter.
"You okay, Kurama?" Naruto asked as panic began to set in. He quickly rushed up to his closest friend and began rapidly shaking him only to recoil in fear as Kuramas eyes snapped open.
Gone were his trademark slitted red pupils.
They were replaced by glowing green ones that promised pain and misfortune.
End Chapter
this chapter was quite long as i wanted to go more in-depth with the scenes and characters.
Speaking of which, there are three things i would like to address.
1. NO, I did not change the original Naruto verse lore.
2. Naruto was sheltered his entire life -for reasons i won't explain right now. Thus leading to him being very lonely and quite gullible. This is why he sticks to Kurama the way he does. He is his very first 'friend'.
3. I just know there's gonna be people in the reviews complaining about my somewhat OC dragon Qīn. My response to you is...
Drum roll pleaseeee.
suck my balls.
Qīn is now my favorite piece of fiction and i will run a gauntlet with your entire bloodline to defend him.
As for the lack of Lemony Goodness this chapter, i sincerely apologize. I truly hope the action and fights made up for it.
and with that said, see ya next time.
