Dear Diary,

My parents gave me this Diary for my 14th birthday and told me I could write whatever I wanted to in it. The good part was that they said that they wouldn't read it. The first thing is that I am a little nervous about starting 9th grade at LCHS because I won't know anybody there except maybe one or two people. Those people are Steph and Joey. They did cheerleading with me last year, but they went to St. Leo's and I went to Centerville. Mom said that I shouldn't worry because I am good at making friends and that Steph and Joey will introduce me to the other kids. Maybe things won't turn out as bad as I think they will.

Dear Diary,

I thought that Michael took you. I thought he would find the key or find some way to bust in and read what I wrote last night. We went to the mall today to look at some new clothes that I might like to have but would probably never have the chance because I go to a Catholic school now and I have to wear a uniform. Joey called me today on my cell phone and told me the classes that I would have. She also told me the names of my teachers and what they teach. Steph also called me on my cell. She told me that I was in the algebra group along with Joey and her. I asked her how she knew and she said that when the school knew I was coming in 9th grade St. Leo's sent them my grades from 7th grade that determined what math group I would be in. Over all the teachers said that I was a very good student also doing my best and just trying to live my day like it was my last.

Dear Diary,

Mom told me today that Michael has to go to the hospital because he has something wrong with his stomach. I asked her what it was and how long it would take. She told me that she didn't know what it was or how long it would take. I learned that I have to rely on my friends a lot because I had to stay with Steph because she had room in her house.
