The J Law of Scifi Commanders
(Crossovers with every modern scifi show with starships in it)
(I noticed one night that scifi writers have no sense of originality in naming the lead male role in a show)
1. If you plan to lead a starship, group of commandos, space station, or intergalactic fugitives- Your first name must normally begin with J or at least have J beginning your last name, in your first name, or begins one of your real life names.
2. Choosing John is usually the best- often get to lead massive fleets or at least be able to destroy them.
3. Jack or James are your second best bets- You still get to save the human race. However you never get a fleet, rarely destroy one, and will likely never get the girl for good.
4. All other Js may vary.
5. Only white guys can have a first name beginning with J, sorry all other groups.
6. The J rule only applies to ordinary humans- sorry- Dileen Hunt (heavy-worlder human)
1. Commander John Crichton- Fugitive, Control wormholes, and good commando
2. Captain John Luc Picard- Commands federation flagship and fleets at times-
3. Captain John Sheridan- Interstellar President and commands fleets of different races
4. Colonel John Shepard- Leads commando team
5. Colonel Jack O'Neil- Leads commando team
6. Captain James T. Kirk- Commands top federation starship and occasionally admiral
7. Captain Jonathan Archer- 1st commander of powerful human starship
8. Captain Jeffrey Sinclair- Commands space station, but as Valen commands entire
Minbari Race, holy man
9. Captain Jack- (Dr. Who)-Time Traveler (is getting his own show soon)
10.Captain Katherine Janeway- Commands federation starship and later admiral
11. Captain Benjamin Sisko & his son is Jake- Commands space station, fleets, holy man
12. Battlestar Galactica's commander's name in real life is Edward James Olmos- Commands remains of human race
