DISCLAIMER: My mother was only 10 when MASH premiered in 1972 therefore making it impossible for me to own it!
Right, this little fic is kind of a sisterstory to 'Confessions of a Broken Heart'.
This is a letter that Frank's eldest daughter Elizabeth wrote to him...as you will see she is a lot like him since she's the oldest. Okay please R and R and enjoy!

Dear Dad,
How are things in Korea? I can't believe that you have been gone for exactly one year. It seems a lot longer than that. I miss you so much dad but I'm so proud that you're over there fighting the Red Menace like a true American!
I hope that those Captains aren't giving you too much trouble, dad. You are a brilliant doctor no matter what they say. If you want my opinion, that Captain Pierce thinks way too highly of himself.
7th grade is going pretty well. The Science lessons are really hard dad; the teacher is always picking on me and saying that I need to do better. Don't concern yourself though, I know that mum wasn't that great in school, not like you.
On the other hand my History teacher Mr Owens says that I have the greatest knowledge of military history than any other 13 year old he has taught. I told him that you were in Korea, he wishes you luck daddy.
We had to do a surprise Geography quiz on Monday and I got the results back yesterday. I got 35 out of 50, I hope that pleases you daddy because mum was very proud.
As for the rest of my subjects, I'm coping in Maths but I'm ashamed to say that I have to get Amelia to help me (she's in 4th grade for heaven's sake!) But it is really hard dad; I must have inherited mum's math skills too, Amelia got yours.
As for the family, Amelia's piano lessons aren't going too well. She's having trouble learning Moonlight Sonata but other than that she plays quite well. When you get home we'll perform a piece for you, obviously I'll be playing the violin not the piano.
I don't know if mum told you already but Loretta is starting piano lessons too. Every second afternoon for an hour and she's picking it up quite fast. I think that after a few more lessons, she may even been better then Amelia.
Well, I guess that's it for now dad. I love you and I miss you heaps! Give my regards to Major Houlihan (he seems to be the only military man there!) and continue keeping those soldiers alive. I look forward to your return.
Love and kisses,
Elizabeth xoxo
