Title: "Awakening"
Genre: Poetry
Disclaimer: I don't own CSI, but this poem is all mine... I'm not sure why I need a disclaimer when no names are used... In any case,no archive without my prior permission, please. :)
Enjoy! Feedback is much appreciated- Poetry really isn't my thing, so I need all the pointers I can get. :)
Awakening
He loves a night of restful sleep
Awakens with thoughts so deep
Of times before the silence screams
He sees within his fitful dreams
Dark walls, bright lights define the space
Where once he saw his true love's face
Memories, flashbacks, love so complete
Not once had he thought he'd ever compete
For what once was his, like nature's gift
Dependable tides that never shift
But tides aren't certain, love less so
Culpable, but how was he to know—
Eve- less trust in his perception
It was she who spun faceless deception.

A/N: I initially wrote this as Poetry assignment for English class at school, but I thought it suited Warrick and his relationship (or what I wish was his relationship) with his wife Tina. Of course, it could suit any pairing of characters. Please let me know what you think!
