The Dating Game (A NARUTO ROUGH DRAFT FOR NOW)
(PS: This is a challenge one of my readers showed me, thanks Ogremen ^^. I really like this because I am a sucker for these types of premises. Anyway, hope y'all enjoy it! I'll still probably focus on N.R. [Naruto: Reimagined])
(PS#2: I decided to swap out Toki with Shizuka of Nadeshiko Village since I'm assuming she's more well-known compared to Toki, this is not to discredit Toki. But I think she's a good substitute since she technically lost to Naruto, and has to marry Naruto due to her village's tradition. I also reduced the number to three by removing Haruna (sorry Haruna) since I think three is enough plus I don't think a lot of people know her since she's from a filler episode in Part 1 if I'm not mistaken)
- At The Hokage's Office -
"For the last time Naruto… There are no extra missions as of now, I would have given you one by now if there were so that you would stop pestering me" Tsunade said to Naruto while she was rubbing her temples due to the headache Naruto's antics have caused her.
Naruto sighed in response, there was no point in continuing to press the question. Tsunade's answer won't change no matter how many times he asked the same question, Naruto also fears the possibility of pissing off Tsunade lest he wanted to be a stain on the wall. Since there were no available missions at the moment, Naruto decided to head home and just take the day off. Naruto couldn't remember the last time he had a day off, the closest thing to a "day off" he had lately was when Jiraiya told him that they were going to celebrate his birthday. Though Naruto didn't expect his sensei to bring him to a strip bar, Naruto shook his head for remembering his sensei's antics. "I wonder how much of Ero-sennin's perversion rubbed off on me?..." Naruto thought to himself, he sighed hoping that he won't end up being a "super pervert" much like how Jiraiya likes to call himself.
- Moments Later -
Suddenly someone barged into the office, it was Kamizuki Izumo. A Chunin of Konohagakure no Sato, "Izumo? What is the meaning of this?" Tsunade asked.
"My apologies Hokage-sama, it's just that we have company outside. A lot of them…" he said to Tsunade, this made her wonder as to what he meant. "Who are these people?" she replied.
"It appears that the rulers of various lands have come to Konoha, there are three of them Hokage-sama. One is from Yuki no Kuni (Land of Snow), another is from Oni no Kuni (Land of Demons), and the last one is from Nadeshiko Village" Izumo explained.
Knowing this boggled Tsunade's mind even more, what could they possibly want from Konoha? Tsunade set her thoughts aside as she got up from her desk and prepared to meet their guests.
"Very well, kindly tell our guests that I will be meeting them at the gate right away" Tsunade said to Izumo, he nodded and quickly left the office to relay this message to them. Tsunade sighed, "How could this day get any worse" she thought to herself.
- At The Gate –
A crowd of people could be seen just waiting outside the village, Izumo and Kotetsu were there to prevent them from barging inside. They had to call for help from other Konoha shinobi in keeping this crowd in check. Various banners could be seen, each one showing the symbol of the land/village they hail from.
Tsunade arrived at the scene to see that things are slowly getting out of hand, all groups demanded to be let in since they simply wanted to have an audience with the Hokage. Izumo and Kotetsu kept telling them that the Hokage was on her way to meet them and that they should wait just a little bit longer.
"It's the Hokage!" one of the people yelled, the groups began to cheer since the very person they wanted to talk to has arrived. "I apologize for making all of you wait, to what do I owe the pleasure?" she asked them. The leaders of each group then stepped forward to greet Tsunade.
"It is nice to see you Hokage-dono, we apologize for suddenly intruding upon your village. I am Kazahana Koyuki, the daimyo of Yuki no Kuni (Land of Snow)" Koyuki introduced herself.
"It's a pleasure to finally meet you Hokage-dono, we also apologize for not informing you ahead of time of our arrival. My name is Orikasa Shion, the priestess and ruler of Oni no Kuni (Land of Demons)" Shion said.
"It is good to see you again Hokage-dono, I hope that Jiraiya-sama hasn't been causing you trouble. Since the others have introduced themselves, I believe I should do the same. I am Yukino Shizuka, the leader of Nadeshiko Village" she said.
"It is a pleasure to meet all of you, though the question still stands. What business do you have with Konoha?" she asked
"I would like to ask you to give me Naruto's hand in marriage" all three of them said in unison, they then glared at one another as if they were stealing the very person they came here for.
"N-Naruto?..." Tsunade asked in confusion, "How on earth did that knucklehead manage to woo these women, add to the fact that they were prominent leaders of distant lands" Tsunade thought to herself.
She was concerned for Naruto since she knows that Naruto was nowhere near to being ready to marry, it's probably a hundred years too early as a matter of fact. That's the motherly side of her talking, but the Hokage side of her begged to disagree. Having a political marriage would surely be beneficial for Konohagakure, that's for sure. Tsunade was torn but she had a solution for this, but she had to control the situation for now.
"Yes Hokage-sama, we would like to ask you for Naruto's hand" Koyuki stated
"Indeed though it's only a matter of who" Shizuka said as she glared at the other two, both Koyuki and Shion also glared at their competitors menacingly.
Tsunade sighed, she jinxed herself for asking how worse could this day possibly be. She needed another drink of sake to ease her headache though it'll probably cause her to be hungover as a result thus causing her even more headaches, adding to the fact that Shizune would also lecture her on moderation. It was a lose-lose-lose situation for her, "Screw it, I'm drinking more" Tsunade thought to herself.
"I am open for discussion but for now shall we take this conversation somewhere more appropriate," Tsunade asked, and all of them agreed in return.
- In Naruto's Appartment -
Naruto was lying on his bed while he was spinning a kunai with his finger out of boredom, Naruto sighed for he did not know what to do. Sure he could train outside but he thought that was boring since he pretty much trained all time, he could go to Ichiraku Ramen but he just wasn't in the mood to eat at all which is rare even for him. He then considered the thought of hanging out with some of his friends, but then he realized most of them were probably busy. Naruto already knew Shikamaru was out on a mission and so were Neji, Lee, and Kiba, Choji on the other hand was still recovering from a recent mission. He could probably pester Sakure though much like Tsunade, he would probably end up as a stain on a wall and he did not like that idea. Naruto then thought of Ino but then he realized he was not into shopping at all. The list went on and on until he finally reached the end of it with no luck whatsoever. How Naruto wished to be out on the road with his sensei again, even though his sensei would cause him from trouble than good. He still considered those times to be worthwhile memories, there wasn't a time that was boring in his opinion. But unfortunately, his sensei still had some work to do, he had a spy network after all.
Naruto decided to get up and walk around the village instead but before he was about to leave someone knocked on the door, Naruto's curiosity was aroused as a result. "Who could that be?" Naruto asked himself as he opened the door.
(A/N: I probably won't make this fic that long since my main focus is NR after all, though I still hope you liked the intro of this idea. If you don't like harem stuff then this is probably not for you, but if you do then I hope y'all can be patient with updates on this one haha. Sorry for the cliffhanger XD, that's all cheers! ^^)
