- A Hearty Meal -
Naruto opened the door only to see Shizuka, "Shizuka?... What brings you here?..." Naruto asked confusedly, he knew that Shizuka was the leader of Nadeshiko Village, and the last time he saw her was when the two of them fought. He also remembered what their battle was about which made him blush as a result.
"May I come in?..." Shizuka asked
"Oh… Uhhh… Sure" Naruto replied not what to do, Shizuka then entered his apartment and Naruto followed her inside. "So… Shizuka? What made you visit Konoha all of a sudden?" he asked
"Straight to the point as always, I have come here for you" Shizuka said as she stared into Naruto's eyes
"M-Me?!..." Naruto was shocked to hear this
"Indeed, and I will be taking you with me back to Nadeshiko Village" she replied
"Wait what?!... What do you mean 'will'? I can't just leave the village all of a sudden, Tsunade-obaachan will kill me if I left without her permission!" Naruto protested
"Don't worry about that Naruto, I already took care of that" she replied which confused Naruto even more. How the heck did Shizuka convince Tsunade to allow her to bring him back with her to Nadeshiko Village?
- Earlier -
"Now that we're in a much more appropriate place to discuss such things, shall we begin?" Tsunade asked and all of them nodded in agreement.
"Alright and before we begin, I just want to clarify that the three of YOU want to have the hand of Naruto, I repeat NARUTO, in marriage. Did I hear that right?" she said to the three of them
"That is right Hokage-sama, the three of us would like to ask his hand in marriage" Koyuki answered
"Okay, but why?" Tsunade returned
"Naruto has helped and saved each one of us during our time of greatest need and we are eternally grateful to him. Not only that, the others and I have come to realize our true feelings for him as well" said Shion.
Hearing this made something click in Tsunade's mind, she remembered all those missions where Naruto was sent to aid them. "That explains why they came here…" she thought to herself but she still couldn't just hand over Naruto all willy-nilly. He still had responsibilities as a shinobi of Konohagakure (Hidden Leaf Village), she also wanted to give Naruto a say in all of this since this would greatly affect his life.
"I see… But I can let Naruto leave the village that easily and I would also like to let Naruto have a say in this situation, there is no way I could force him to marry a person he does not love" Tsunade answered
"Very well then we would like him to get to know each one of us more, and then he can decide which one of us he wants to marry" Shizuka offered
"So basically you want him to go on a date with all three of you then?" Tsunade asked
"Precisely but not all three of us at once, we would like it to be one on one" Shion requested
"I suppose that could work but I still cannot allow him to leave the village just for a date" Tsunade reiterated
Koyuki then came up with a loophole that would bypass that, "What if it wasn't just a date?" she retorted
"What do you mean?" Tsunade wondered
"What I'm saying is that what if we were to ask Naruto to become our personal bodyguard for a month, then it would count as a mission right?" she replied
Tsunade found this amusing and thought that Koyuki was clever for finding a loophole that would get them what they want, Tsunade also wanted to end this since it was giving her a massive headache. Naruto never fails to cause her trouble, both directly and indirectly.
She sighed and accepted Koyuki's suggestion, "Alright then, but if Naruto picks none of you at the end then there's nothing we can do about it. I suppose the three of you can and will respect his decision" Tsunade added. She didn't want to turn Naruto's entire world upside down, she still wanted to give Naruto a choice in all of this because she wants him to be happy as well at the end of all of this.
"We understand that Hokage-sama, and we will respect his decision no matter what" Shizuka replied
"Okay good, the only problem left is who among you gets Naruto all for herself first" Tsunade asked, the three of them glared at one another since all of them wanted to have Naruto first.
Tsunade noticed this and quickly defused the whole situation before it escalated, "Why not settle this with a game of Janken?" Tsunade suggested. She knew it sounded stupid but it would be fair for all three of them and it was an easy solution too, the three of them agreed and settled it once and for all.
- Back With Naruto and Shizuka -
"Okay then… If that's the case, when do we leave?"
"Right now"
"EHHH?!..."
"What's that problem?..." Shizuka asked
"Well… There is some stuff I'd like to do before we leave…" Naruto asked sheepishly
"And those are?..." she asked
At Ichiraku Ramen
"Teuchi-jiji! Are you there?!" Naruto approached the counter seeing that no one was there, Ayame then came out from the back and took notice of Naruto.
"Oh! Naruto! It's so good to see you, what would you like to have?" Ayame asked
"Oh you already know what I want Ayame-neechan, dattebayo!" he said cheerfully
"Alright then, one order of Miso Char Siu" Ayame replied
"Oh! Almost forgot, Ayame-neechan this is Shizuka and she's the leader of Nadeshiko Village. She's pretty strong and awesome too" Naruto introduced her to Ayame
Shizuka was delighted with Naruto's introduction of her, but she wanted to change one simple thing from what Naruto said. And that is, "She's pretty, strong, and awesome too".
Ayame lost her train of thought as she laid her eyes upon Shizuka, she was surprised to see such a beautiful girl with Naruto. A million questions then popped up in her mind, who was she? Why was she with Naruto? Was she Naruto's girlfriend? This caused her to zone out for a bit
"Uhhh… Ayame-neechan? Are you alright?... Hello?..." Naruto took a closer look at her and snapped his fingers to catch her attention, Ayame snapped back to reality and asked Naruto to repeat what he said.
"Oh, uh… Sorry about that, what were you saying Naruto?" she asked
"Are you alright? Are you sick Ayame-neechan?" Naruto replied
"Oh, haha… No, I'm not sick Naruto but thanks for asking" she made sure to remember what happened and share it with her father that Naruto brought a girl, and not just any girl, a leader of a village to their humble stall.
"Where was I? Oh right! What would you like to order, uhhh…" she asked Shizuka
"I do not know much about ramen but is there anything you would recommend?" she asked Ayame
"Okay then, I'll be right back with your orders" Ayame said as she went to the kitchen to prepare their meals. She returned after a few minutes have passed with two bowls of steaming ramen.
Ayame placed both bowls in front of them and handed each one of them their own chopsticks, Ayame also handed them their own chirirenge/renge (spoon used for ramen soup). "One order of Miso Char Siu and one order of Hakata Tonkutsu Ramen" Ayame said.
Naruto broke apart his chopsticks and prepared to chow down but he decided to see what Shizuka thinks of Ichiraku Ramen, Ayame was also anxious to hear her response.
Shizuka didn't notice that she was being watched, she broke her chopsticks as well. "Itidakimasu (I humbly receive)" she said as he took a sip of her ramen and ate one of everything in her bowl.
"So… How is it?..." Naruto asked
Shizuka wiped her mouth and answered Naruto, "It's delicious, the broth is rich and the noodles thin yet firm. The roasted pork is juicy and it is perfectly seasoned. Just the way I like it" Shizuka responded
This made Naruto happy and made Ayame sigh in relief that their ramen was able to meet her standards, Naruto then ate his own bowl of ramen.
It only took him a few minutes before he was able to finish one bowl, "Done!" he said cheerfully
Shizuka was surprised by Naruto's speed in gobbling up ramen but this did not turn her off. Instead, it turned her on actually. She thought that he was just like her, Shizuka is also a heavy eater but doesn't show it since she only eats a lot in private. Seeing this made her realize that this could be a way to bond and relate with Naruto. She also recalled one of the things that her mother taught her was that the way through a man's heart is through his stomach. Shizuka smiled and with that being said, she planned on taking advantage of it.
Shizuka decided to pick up her pace and finish her bowl of ramen as well, "Would you like to go for seconds?" Shizuka asked
"Sure!" Naruto said joyfully
"Ayame-san, one more order each of the same ramen" Shizuka requested, "Okay! Coming right up!" Ayame said as she went back into the kitchen to fetch their orders
An Hour Later
"Ahhhhh… That hit the spot, we're ready for the bill Ayame-neechan!" Naruto said to which Ayame calculated the amount of money they had to pay.
Naruto then looked over to Shizuka to see the same amount of bowls he had, both of them ate twelve bowls of ramen. Naruto burped and Shizuka heard it, "I'm impressed with your appetite Naruto" she complimented him
He was caught off-guard by this because usually, Sakura would say it was rude and gross to burp loudly in public, "Thanks, I could say the same to you too" he gave her a foxy grin. Shizuka burped loudly too and quickly covered her mouth in embarrassment, "Hey, not bad but I can do one better!" Naruto claimed as he let out a much louder burp.
Shizuka giggled in response, Ayame then returned with the bill and placed it on the counter. Naruto saw the amount and took out his wallet but Shizuka beat him to it. "Oh… Don't you want to split the bill?" he asked
"It's okay Naruto, I don't mind" she smiled at him
"Are you sure?"
"Yes Naruto, shall we go now?" she then paid for their meal and left with him
"Sure thing, thanks for the meal Ayame-neechan. I'll be back next time so prepare a bowl of Miso Char Siu for me okay?!" Naruto yelled as he and Shizuka were walking away from the stall.
"Sure thing! Take care!" Ayame said as she waved goodbye. After that, she could no longer see Shizuka and Naruto from a distance. Ayame returned to her work once more, she couldn't wait to get back home since she has a juicy story to share with her father as well.
