Raven's eyes slowly fluttered open, the sunlight peeking through the windows causing her to blink a couple of times and adjust to the light. She closed them once again, a blissful sigh escaping her lips as she curled up into her comfortable beds and drew the blankets closer around her. She felt at peace in her current position.
Though, only a couple of minutes later, her peace was shattered by the sound of the alarm going off. The loud beeping caused her eyes to open wide and wince slightly at the ringing in her ear. I forgot… She had set an alarm clock for herself last night.
Looking around the room she was in reminded her of the fact that she was in a new place and no longer with the old couple that had been nice enough to let her live with them. She still felt terrible for leaving that couple without saying anything in return, not even a thank you. I really shouldn't have up and left like that. She admonished herself with a frown.
She was sure the old couple was probably thinking about her right now and wondering if something had happened to her or not. From the small amount of time she had spent with them, it had become obvious to her that their child or children had most likely perished with the way they were treating her.
The young woman bit her lip at the guilty feeling racking through her before she took a deep breath and shook her head, clear of those thoughts. She shuffled out of bed, her legs automatically taking her to the bathroom to freshen up.
Her feet touched down the cold tiles of the bathroom, her eyes taking in the perfectly clean and quite luxurious-looking room. Just like the other places… She thought, slightly amazed at how beautiful it looked. She idly wondered how the blonde was able to keep it this clean if he lived alone as he had told her.
She paused that thought a second later when her mind remembered the fact that the blonde was, in fact, a magician. Inwardly facepalming at her small stupid moment, Rachel stripped off the clothing Naruto had given her, which had perfectly fitted her somehow. How he had clothes that fit her perfectly, she didn't know. She chalked it up to his magical powers and didn't question it too much.
Stepping in front of the large shower, she stopped before entering it as she looked around for a handle to turn on the shower head but couldn't find anything at all but the shower head that was planted on the roof. Confused, she pursed her lips for a second. "Where is it?" She asked herself, stepping further into the shower.
"Eeeh," A squeak escaped her mouth suddenly, hot water started raining down on her from the shower head above her. Her face was tinted red from embarrassment, and she was glad no one had seen her get surprised by the technology Earth had to offer. I hope Naruto didn't hear me. The blonde looked like someone who would tease her if he came to know of this happening to her.
A sigh escaped her lips a second later, though, as the hot water continued pouring down on her body. It was a very relaxing feeling for the purple-haired beauty. It was only a minute later that she discovered the fact that there was no shampoo with her right now.
While Rachel had her dilemma in the shower, Naruto was in the kitchen, having his own at the same time as the girl in the bathroom. Standing in front of the dining table, his eyes looked back and forth between multiple options that on a small cooking book that he had bought from a chef who had called himself a world-renowned cook.
"To this day, I still don't know who that was." He mused to himself briefly before focusing his attention back on the cooking book. His problem would not be considered something big, but to him, it was quite the dilemma. There were simply so many options he could choose from, and yet, he had no idea which one would be the best to go with.
This was the first time a guest was in his house. Whenever his friends came to him, they would invite him later on to their house, so he never had to deal with deciding to prepare everything for guests.
Looking at the picture next to the dish in the book, his eyebrows rose exponentially. "Salmon for breakfast?" It caught him off guard. An addition to a breakfast called Swiss rost. He shook his head and moved on to the next one. The previous one wouldn't do. "Oh," He hummed in interest at the delicious-looking pastry.
It was a polish breakfast, and he didn't even try pronouncing it as he knew he would butcher it. Nodding to himself, he placed his hands on the book, right on top of the picture, before bringing it back up, though just a bit under his hand was the breakfast on a small plate, floating in the air as Naruto guided it to his left, gently placing it on the table.
Smiling to himself in satisfaction, he mentally patted himself on the back for having worked on mastering his powers on the watchtower for as long as he did. It certainly was paying off now.
"Alright, now to taste it." Bringing the bun to his mouth, the blonde took a bite, and just seconds later, a satisfied hum escaped his mouth as his taste buds savored the taste of the pastry. It was, without a doubt, very delicious, and it took quite a bit of effort to refrain himself from taking more bites and finishing the bun already.
Placing the bun back on the plate, he stopped midway when a thought occurred to him. "Would she like this?" Soon after asking himself the question, a frown settled on his face. There was no guarantee Rachel would like the dish as he did just now. Scratching his head for a second, he debated on what to do.
Placing aside the first choice, for now, his attention was back on the book, clearing through multiple dishes.
"Not enough."
"Way too sweet."
"Fucking disgusting."
"Why would anyone think beans on toast was a good idea for breakfast?"
Comments such as those kept leaving his mouth as he tested many different types of breakfast, judging them for himself whether they would be good enough or not. He didn't want to disappoint the young woman as she was the first-ever person she had as a guest in his house for longer than an hour.
Ten minutes later, Naruto slumped into his chair and shook his head. Looking to his side, there were a couple of dishes resting on plates. "I am probably overthinking it." She hadn't said what she wanted last night, and the blonde had gone with something he liked himself, and it was delicious, according to her. I never thought I'd take this long to choose what to eat for breakfast. That was certainly not something Naruto had thought would happen last night when he allowed Rachel to stay here.
Though he facepalmed inwardly a second later, with a simple snap of his finger, the table was perfectly clean, no longer littered with multiple plates. Using his memory as a visual, Naruto used his powers to bring out all of the breakfasts he had liked, plates appearing all over the table, slowly being filled with many sorts of dishes varying from different countries.
Eyeing his work, he nodded to himself in satisfaction before making his way to his kitchen and bringing out beverages and setting them on the table in their place.
While most of the time, he was lazy and used his powers to get most of his stuff, there were times he would go out and buy anything he needed.
Hearing footsteps approaching, he knew his guest was coming here. Perfect timing.
Turning around, he was greeted with the sight of Rachel, who was no longer wearing her suit from last night, now dressed in a simple white t-shirt alongside a blue skirt. Naruto had to admit she was quite the beauty, his mind unconsciously going back to yesterday when Barry had asked him if he had a girlfriend.
He shook off those thoughts quickly and didn't let his eyes linger too long on her as they shot up to look at her face. "Goodmorning!" The Uzumaki greeted her with a smile.
Rachel was about to return his greeting, but her mouth clicked shut the moment he stepped aside, showing her the table. Her eyes widened slightly at the amount of food she was presented with in front of her.
Her surprise was quite easy to pick up on as Naruto chuckled sheepishly, catching her attention. "Yeah, I didn't really know what you would like to eat as breakfast and in the end decided to just add in a bit of everything."
Just a bit? Rachel asked herself in slight amusement. There was more than just a bit of food on the table. She shook her head, all the while smiling. "This is amazing. Did you really cook all of this?" She asked.
"Of course… Well, kinda," Naruto elaborated somewhat near the end. The black-haired sorceress, of course, figured out he had used his magic to speed up the process, but it still warmed her heart to know that someone went out of their to do all of this for her. Never before had anyone done anything close to this before.
Much to her dismay, she didn't really know what to do in this situation, seeing as it was something new to her. Her cheeks went red due to that, being unable to do anything other than mutter her amazement and thankfulness for doing all of this.
Naruto chuckled inwardly. He had to admit that she looked adorable right now.
"Come on, let's dig in. I'm sure you're pretty hungry." Raven followed Naruto's example and sat down on her own chair, immediately digging into her food. It was a quiet affair at the start, both of them simply enjoying their food and exchanging small talk with one another.

"He really hasn't done anything other than work?" Hal asked his friend, Barry, once again, closing his house door behind him before facing Barry and Billy. It was nearing 3 PM, and he had gotten a message half an hour ago from his best friend about canceling anything for the day.
There was no further explanation, but only now did he know why he had gotten the message.
"I'm telling you, dude. He said it himself." Barry shook his head at the reminder. "Anyway, that's why I got you all here with me so we can take him with us and have a day for ourselves."
Billy Batson, in his older form Shazam, groaned next to him. "How are you even sure he'll come with us?" He asked skeptically.
"Because he already said yes yesterday," Barry stated.
Hal snorted. "Yeah, just like the last time he said yes and proceeded to force us into help at his job in our suit to attract even more customers."
Barry winced at the reminder but shook his head. "No, It'll be different this time. Just trust me." He replied firmly and started dragging them to his fellow blonde's house. Thanks to the speedster, they got to their destination in mere seconds, stopping just before the door.
Barry went to bring out the spare key he had gotten from Naruto while both Shazam and Green Lantern recovered from the slight dizziness they were subjected to from the fast travel. "Huh, weird, he should be open by now." He muttered to himself in curiosity.
The three heroes wandered inside, looking at the place empty place for their blonde friend but saw him nowhere. Looking at one another, they all nodded. "Upstairs." They decided, making their way over to the stairs, hearing footsteps coming down their way.
"See, I told you it would be different this time. He's probably already…" Barry trailed off at the end once they saw Naruto was not alone but with someone else.
The two quickly took notice of the visitors as Naruto raised an eyebrow at them. "Barry, Hal, Billy, what are you guys doing here?"
"What do you mean what are we doing here?" Hal fired back and shook his head. "Don't tell me you've forgotten what Barry told you yesterday, and who is this, by the way?" He asked at the end, his gaze turning to look at Rachel.
"Ah," Naruto said in remembrance, the memory of yesterday's talk with Barry coming back to him. "I forgot about that," He muttered under his breath, a slightly embarrassed smile on his face.
Barry deadpanned. "You forgot…?" Naruto chuckled at his tone before waving his hand. His mind had been so preoccupied with the girl next to him that he had completely forgotten about his deal with his friend.
"I was preoccupied with something that took my mind off it." He explained as the three heroes looked back to the young woman, who was still standing next to Naruto, not sure what she should do. "Right, this is Rachel here. Rachel, these guys are a couple of my friends, they're Barry, Hal, and Bill-" Naruto paused at the end, his eyes landing on Shazam, who tried looking innocent.
"Wuh, shouldn't you be at school right now?" The blonde asked dubiously.
Sighing, Billy shrugged. "It's boring there, and I found Barry on the way, and that's how I got here."
Both Hal and Naruto rounded on Barry, who shot Billy a betrayed look before shaking his head. "Listen, it doesn't matter now. What matters now is how you suddenly have someone else living with you when you said you didn't have a girlfriend last night."
Raven's cheeks went red hearing that as Naruto shook his head negatively. "She's not my girlfriend, just someone who needed help last night," Naruto explained, giving them a brief summary of her situation. The heroes, of course, picked up on the fact that it was similar to Naruto, making them understand why he had decided to help her.
I'll have to tell the League about this later today. Barry told himself inwardly, making eye contact with Hal for a second, who seemed to be on the same boat as him regarding the situation.
"Naruto," Rachel got their attention as she softly called out. "You can go with them. I don't mind being alone." She suggested.
Naruto opened his mouth to respond but was beaten to it by his friend.
"Why don't you come with us?" Barry offered, catching her off guard. "We don't mind it, and I'm sure Naruto here wouldn't either." He jabbed his friend to snap him out of his little daze as Naruto blinked.
"Uh, yeah, that's actually not a bad idea." Grinning, Naruto looked over at Rachel, who seemed to be thinking about was unsure. She only needed a slight push, and Naruto knew just the right thing to say. "There is a really nice bookstore there that has much more than the small library has." He knew he had her when her eyes twinkled.
He remembered her telling him how she loved reading during their conversation at breakfast. It was a bit cheap of him to use her love for books to his advantage, but he knew it would be good for her if she came along with them rather than stay alone here.
Giving her own smile, Rachel nodded. "Sure, I'll come along then if you all don't mind."
Barry smiled. "Sweet, let's not waste more time then. The place is already open!" The speedster urged them, Pushing them out of the building.
"Wait, let me change first. It's cold and snowing outside." Barry stopped, stepping back and giving his friend thumbs up as Naruto went upstairs, Rachel following behind him.
Minutes later, they both returned with appropriate clothing to counter the cold outside.
"Where are we even going?" Naruto asked him with a whisper, looking back to see him lock the door to his home behind him. He hadn't actually known where they would be going when he told Raven she should come with them. The blonde just didn't want her to be alone here while he was having fun out by himself with his friends.
Barry turned around and slung his arm around his shoulder. "You'll see, buddy. I got it all planned out," He answered vaguely as they started following the Scarlet Speedster to their destination, wherever it was.
xxxxxxxxxx
Their first stop had been a movie, which tickets Barry had already booked. Getting one for Raven had been no problem as Naruto simply paid for hers. The choice was made by the speedster, and they had all enjoyed it.
Now they were following the older blonde for about twenty minutes as the sun was slowly setting down. It would be only minutes before the street lamp would be turned on to illuminate their surroundings. It was obvious they were heading to the center of the city, where
It was only a minute ago that he had fallen in line with her after seeing that she had silently been following them while she took in the sights they were passing by. Not wanting to leave her out of the loop, he had instantly engaged in a conversation with her.
"We're almost there," Barry called out to them, looking back to see both of them in a conversation with each other, pausing briefly to nod at his word before going back to it. He hummed in interest at the sight before nudging his friend, Hal.
Hal scowled slightly at the jab, giving his friend an annoyed look. "Look at those two," The Green Lantern raised an eyebrow but did so and blinked once he saw the same sight as Barry did seconds ago. He turned back to the blonde with a smirk on his face, instantly figuring out what his friend had done before him.
"They seem kind of close already, right?" Barry nodded enthusiastically.
"I don't think I've seen him be like this with a girl before. Not even Diana, Dinah, or anyone else." He whispered back. "It might be just because her situation is the same as his was months ago, but…"
Hal glanced back at the two for a second before turning back to his friend. "Nah, it's definitely more than that. Dude already likes her."
"Yep. Even during the movie, he mostly talked to her about it." Barry chuckled. "You thinking what I'm thinking?"
Raising an eyebrow at the comment, Hal smirked again. "You wanna try and get them together already?"
"What are you two whispering about?" They nearly jumped up in shock from the voice of Billy joining their conversation. Barry let out a sigh of relief of it not being Naruto and hooked his arm around Billy's shoulder, planning to let him on the plan but was stopped by the beeping sound in their ears.
They collectively groaned in annoyance. "Now of all times?" Barry muttered under his breath in annoyance at the timing. The other two heroes were right there with him, expressing their annoyance too.
Both Naruto and Rachel must have noticed their grumbling as they stopped their conversation and looked at them curiously. Naruto, seeing Barry tap his right ear, instantly figured it out.
"Ah, that's too bad. You guys should go." Rachel raised an eyebrow when the three quickly took off.
The two were left watching them run off before the purple-haired turned to look at her new friend in confusion. "Where are they going?" Naruto merely waved his hand.
"Just their work calling them in. Don't worry about it." He answered simply. He couldn't simply tell her they were The Flash, Green Lantern, and Shazam, although he didn't really lie either as they were indeed called in by their work.
Now left alone, they both realized the plans for their day, which had been planned out by the speedster, were now no longer viable as the man had left. Looking at their surroundings, Naruto recognized where they were and hummed inwardly. "You know, even though they left, we're not too far from where he was taking us. We might as well go through with it now that we're here." He suggested to the girl next to him.
Rachel slowly nodded, making Naruto grin. "Actually, we can visit that bookstore first, it's nearby, and we should go there before it closes." Raven mirrored his smile as she was excited to see what she could find there. Reading had always been something she loved to do. Although, she wondered how Naruto knew of this.
"I didn't take you for someone who liked to read." She voiced her thoughts to him.
Naruto simply shrugged while they were walking to the store. "I'm not. I just went there when I first got here to pass the time." Putting his hands in his pockets, a memory came to his mind. "That's where I actually met the person who gave me the cooking book I always use. Weirdly enough, he never really said anything else to me, not even his name."
Raising an eyebrow, she asked, "You never met him after that?"
Naruto shook his head. "Nope, never. It was suspicious at first, but the book had so much to offer that I can't really complain about anything else."
Rachel nodded. That definitely sounded more like the Naruto she had come to know thus far. Even if it had been only a day, it was easy to understand what kind of person the blonde was.
Soon, their attention was on the decorations that hung on the traffic lamps, along with small Christmas decorations next to them. The decorations had a nice contrast with the streets littered with snow. They quietly walked through it, seeing many other people enjoying time with their family or loved ones. It was a great atmosphere all around, and they enjoyed it immensely.
They all look so happy. Rachel thought to herself, inwardly wishing that one day she would be able to do the same things as them without a care in the world. She bit her lip thinking about that possibility as it sounded like a fairy tale. If only… She continued gazing at everything they passed by. It was absolutely breathtaking for her, and she was lost in all of it.
"...Rachel?" She blinked, coming back to reality to see Naruto snapping his fingers in front of her with a raised brow.
"Sorry… I was distracted," She muttered, shaking her head clear of her previous thoughts. "What were you saying?"
Naruto picked up on her emotions quite easily but didn't say anything about it, merely pointing behind him. "Just that we're here." Looking behind her new friend, Raven saw their destination and smiled, her previous thoughts briefly forgotten and replaced with giddiness at the many new things she could pick up to read on.
Sensing that her mood had gone back up, Naruto gave his usual grin. "Come on, let's go inside then." He urged her as she nodded and walked past him and into the building. Naruto stayed behind for a second, looking back at what she was distracted by, and remembered what she had been feeling at that moment.
Longing.
He hummed as he thought about all of it. It was easy to know why she had that feeling as it was something he had gone through during his childhood many times.
And with those thoughts, he entered the store with her, instantly being bombarded with the smell of books. It was odd to him to see that new books always had a distinct smell to them. This place looks even bigger than the last time I came here. He made the observation. It looked like the owner was doing well for himself.
"I didn't expect it to look like this…" Raven muttered in slight awe. It looked more like the library she had visited but only ten times bigger rather than what she expected, a simple book store.
Naruto chuckled at her tone. "Yeah, I was surprised like you too." He even thought there was some magic involved during his first visit, but that thought had quickly been shrugged off by him.
Looking over to Rachel next to him, amusement quickly showed itself on his face seeing the excited look she had. It was as if he was looking at a kid who was in a candy store.
Rachel's head looked around the place, unsure of where she should start looking but stopped when something caught her gaze. Is that… Slowly, she walked forward until she came to a stop in front of the first row of products with the title of Manga above it. What interested her the most was the one that had the same title as her new friend's name.
Naruto. It was surprising to see that the person on the cover looked completely like him. There was no distinction between the two. "Naruto," She called out to the Uzumaki, "You have to see this…"
Said blonde was at her side in mere seconds and was presented with the manga right in his face courtesy of a surprised Rachel. "Look." And look is what Naruto did and did a double-take seeing himself on the cover.
"Huh?" Confused by what he was seeing, that was the only thing he managed to get out before taking the Manga from Raven's hands and inspecting it for himself. It was clearly him on the cover page, with no difference at all between him and his lookalike. Heck, he could even remember the time and place on the cover.
"What the hell…?"
Safe to say that discovering the fact that there was a whole story about his life written by someone in this universe was not something he had expected to discover when he came into the store with Rachel, or ever for that matter.
xxxxxxxxxx
Some time had passed after their visit to the book store and after he had gotten over his surprise. It was still weird when he thought about it but chalked it up to multiverse stuff. It had gone off his mind when both he and Rachel enjoyed a walk throughout the streets, passing by many stalls decorated for the upcoming Christmas event.
Currently, they were sitting in a restaurant and eating the food they had ordered.
"This is really good," Rachel commented, Naruto agreeing with a nod. "It's not as good as the food at home but delicious nonetheless." Naruto raised an eyebrow at the fact that she was already calling his house her home but didn't say anything about it.
It was obvious to him that she was getting more and more comfortable with him at a rapid pace. It made him smile internally, knowing he had managed to make her life somewhat better already.
"You're right, not as good as home but still good." Naruto agreed. Rachel shook her head at his boasting, which Naruto picked up on. He shrugged his shoulders at her, knowing she was somewhat teasing him about using his magic to do that. It was his powers, which he loved using. He could safely say that it was one of the greatest things to ever happen to him in his life. The powers were extremely powerful and versatile, even more so than his chakra. He could essentially do the same stuff he previously could with his Chakra but now, he could even do more.
Though it had its limits too, as he had discovered when he tried to find his home throughout the infinite multiverse and even tried recreating Kurama and the others but was unable to do so.
It left him to do what he could do with his powers, which was making food out of nothing among many things, even if it wasn't really because of his cooking but his magic, he still took credit for it. He was shameless like that.
Their conversation was interrupted when a small child bumped into their table and caused the remaining food to spill over and land on Naruto.
A second later, an older woman came to their side with an apologetic look on her face directed to them. "Oh no, I'm so sorry for what he did." She quickly apologized, grimacing at the sight of the food splattered on Naruto's clothes. She looked down at her child, her grimace turning into a stern expression. "Lucas, apologize quickly to the mister."
The boy named Lucas looked down and mumbled a quickly apology as the mother shook her head.
Naruto looked down briefly for a second at the state he was in before giving the mother of the child an unconcerned look. "Ah, don't worry about it. It's nothing too bad." The mother opened her mouth to respond but stopped when she saw the blonde bring out his hand and hold it closely to his clothes, extending it a second later as all the food that had fallen down and made splatters on his clothing simply started coming off and floated in the air.
Her eyes grew wide in fascination at what she was seeing, as did her child's watching him set down the spilled food on table. Wow... She marveled at how it looked like nothing had happened to him. Nothing was left on his clothes, looking completely new after the magical display.
"Whoa, how did you do that?" Lucas' voice snapped her out of her thoughts as she saw the man smile at her child.
"Magic," Naruto winked at him, holding out his hand to create a simple ice cream cone that landed in the kid's hand. The small boy's eyes shone with delight and he beamed at the older man while Rachel and the mother were left to watch the sweet scene in front of them.
Rachel smiled. He's a good person... She had thought Naruto would've shown some sort of irritation at what had happened but he had surprised her with what he did just now.
The mother looked at Naruto with amazement. "You're that magician from that one place." She stated, getting a nod in return. She had heard of the place, as had pretty much everyone in their city. The man in front of her was somewhat of a celebrity with powers that fascinated everyone. "Thank you for being understanding with Lucas. He's a bit of a handful..."
Naruto shrugged. "Ah, like I said, it's nothing to worry about."
Smiling, the mother took a hold of her child's hand, giving the both of them a nod. "I apologize once again for disrupting you two's date." Rachel blinked in surprise hearing that before she blushed and went to correct her but the older woman simply continued speaking before she walked off. She was left sitting there with Naruto, embarrassed by the woman's assumption. That was the third time today people had mistaken them for a couple. Twice, it had happened during their walk and right now was the third time.
Do we really look like a couple? She asked herself, contemplating on her relationship with the blonde. She stopped herself a second later, shaking off the thoughts. You've only known him for a day Rachel, don't get too ahead of yourself.
"You alright?" Naruto calling out her snapped her out of her thoughts to see his blue eyes staring at her in concern.
His eyes are so... She was unable to respond to his question, lost in the blue eyes of her friend. A warm feeling spread throughout her at the concerned tone and look she got from him. Never before had anyone else been like this to her apart from her mother and the old couple that she had interacted with briefly. It was a feeling she dearly wished that she always experienced and cling to it forever.
Her moment of daze was gone when Naruto snapped his fingers in front of her, causing her to blink a couple of times before she remembered why exactly she had been out of it for a second. The blush on her cheeks from what the mother of that child had said became even worse, her entire face becoming red forcing her to look down. "I'm fine." She quickly mumbled out in her state.
Naruto was left confused by why she was suddenly feeling embarrassed from what he could pick on from seeing her red face and sensing her emotions. It left both of them sitting their in an awkward silence for a minute before they were saved by the waitress coming to them. They were soon back outside after that, having paid for their meal and were walking back to their home.
On the way, they had encountered Barry again, who had come to apologize to them for leaving them so suddenly along with apologies from the other two that were with them for a small amount of time. The older blonde was unable to stick with them for longer as he didn't want to leave his pregnant wife alone for too long and.
As it was getting closer to midnight, the two had gotten back home and were already on the second floor inside the house.
"Today was really fun," Naruto said with a smile, remembering all the fun they had. "Never thought I'd see that someone made a story of my life here on earth." Though it had affected him to see that the other version of himself had gotten his happy ending, he didn't think about it for too long as he spent more time with Rachel and the negative feelings soon left his mind.
"Yes, it was." Rachel turned around in front of her room's door, facing Naruto. She gave him a smile, unconsciously realizing she had been doing that a lot more since she had met the blonde compared to when she first got here.
Naruto returned her grin, "Good thing you didn't stay here, you would've missed out on everything we did today," A second later, he pouted. "That and I would've been alone too when Barry and the others had to leave."
His comment got a giggle from her. "I'm glad I did too." It was silent for a second, the standing in the hallway that was soon illuminated further by the moonlight peeking through the window. Raven bit her lip for a second, looking down as she gathered some courage before looking up. "Naruto... I can't thank you enough for allowing me to stay here with you and for bringing me along today for what you had planned with everyone else." She twiddled with her thumbs a bit as she saw Naruto looking surprised at her for what she was suddenly saying. "I really enjoyed today with you, and I hope that..." She stopped, seemingly hesitating with something. "That I can stay with you here for a bit longer if it's not too much trouble?"
Naruto blinked, shaking his head at her as he crossed his arms. "I told you already that you can stay here as long as you want. You don't need to thank me for any of that. It's nice having you around here, you know."
Rachel smiled even wider, hearing that, the warm feeling that she had felt at the restaurant returning once again. She didn't really know what to say right now to the young adult that had helped her so much during the little time they had known one another. "Thank you..." In the end, she could only manage to utter those words with the best smile she could give him.
Naruto's breath was taken away when the moonlight that shone through the window focused more on Rachel, the slight wind causing her hair to sway slightly. Blue eyes looked on in awe at the beauty in front of him, realizing that she was one of the most beautiful women he had ever encountered in his life. The moonlight and the wind only made her look better in his eyes. There were many good looking women that he had met over the years, the likes of Tsunade, Mei, Diana, Dinah, and many others came to mind, though none of them had the effect the woman in front of him current had.
Briefly, his thoughts went back to the moment when the woman had mistaken them for a couple, the thought of them being actually one sounding not too bad for him at the moment.
"Goodnight, Naruto," He heard her say softly, her voice bringing him back to reality, watching her step into her room, closing the door behind her as he was left standing in the hall, his mind still thinking about her beauty.
"... goodnight." He softly whispered before turning around and heading to his own room.
The entire night, the two had each other on their mind as they thought about their day while falling asleep.
xxxxxxxxxx
And that's the 2nd chapter. I think this should prolly make it clear that this isn't really a plot focused fic but just a slice of life type of shit. Don't even know if I'm doing a good enough job at it with the interactions or not but yall let me know if I did.
See you next time.
