Chapter 3

Age 17 through 27.

Stanford and Stanley are now 17 years old. And they are coming to the end of their senior year of high school. The science fair is coming up and both boys have done a project for it. Stanley's is a foot bot that he threw together. Stanford on the other hand challenged himself. He did the math and the research and made a perpetual motion machine. After the teachers went through judging all of the projects. They went back to Stanford's project. The teachers gave him a trophy and a 1st place ribbon. Stanley is very proud of his brother. And their other project the Stan O War is nearing completion.

The next day at school the Pines twins are called to the principal's office. Stanley was told to sit outside of the office. And Stanford went into the office. When he went into the office. He saw the principal, Hi mother, and his father. Stanford sat in between his parents. The principal told all three of them that. Stanford's teachers love his project. And that his and a few others. Have gained the attention of West Coast Tech. A collage on the other side of the country. That evening Stanford and Stanley are sitting on the swings on the beach. Stanford is excited about possibly going. To a top notch collage on the other side of the country. But Stanley isn't so sure. After talking to Stanley Stanford went home.

What Stanford doesn't know is that. Stanley got a bag of toffee peanuts. He went to the high school. Stanley got mad and hit the table that Ford's project is on. The perpetual motion machine sparked but kept going. Stanley fixed what he though needed fixed and left. After he put up a sheet. The next afternoon Stanford is standing in front of his project. He's nervous and can see the group from. West Coast Tech coming toward him. The group walked up to Ford. A man asked "Ok kid what do you got?"

"Ok what if I told you the future of technology was behind this sheet?" asked Ford

He pulled away the sheet and the man said "I'd say we wasted a trip." Surprised Ford turned around and saw that. His project wasn't moving. He took a look and wasn't sure why it stopped. Then the man said "A perpetual motion machine. Has one job to not stop. It looks like you're not West Coast tech martial." The group walked away and left Ford. Wondering what had happened to his project. He stepped forward and heard something under his foot. Ford bent down and picked up an empty bag of toffee peanut. Stanford knows that toffee peanuts is Stanley's favorite. Mad Stanford left the school and went home.

Once at home Stanford went up stairs. He found Stanley in the living room. He's watching TV and playing with hi paddle ball. Stanley sat up and asked "What's the word sixer?" Stanford help up the bag of toffee peanuts and asked "Why did I find this by my broken project?"

"Well I might have been horsing around. But there might be a silver lining. Treasure hunting." admitted Stanley

"Why would want to go with you? You ruined my change at a great collage." spat Stanford

Filbrick overheard his sons talking. He went into the living room. The man grabbed Stanley by his shirt and yelled "You did what!?" Mad Filbrick shoved Stanley through the front door. He then threw a duffel bag at Stanley. Stanley looked up at a window that Ford was at.

"Ford tell him he's crazy. Don't leave me hanging high six." fretted Stanley

Ford just sighed and closed the curtains. As he walked away from the window. He heard Stanley's car drive off. Then he heard his mother yelling at his father. Ford just went to his and Stanley's room. He got into his pj's and went to bed. The next day after breakfast. Ford stared filling out applications for collages. Then he sent them out in the mail. Two weeks later and Ford has gotten rejections letter. From ivy league school like Harvard, Yale, Brown, and Norta Dome. Today he got a rejection letter from Texas Tech. With each rejection Ford stays angry with Stanley. Another two weeks have passed and Ford finally got an acceptance letter. It's from Backupsmore University which is a third rate school. This school is better than nothing.

So he started getting school supplies. And in September Ford went to Backupsmore University and met his roommate Fiddleford McGucket.

21 years old

Ford is now 21 years old and has graduated from Backupsmore University. While at Backupsmore Ford worked hard. He entered the doctoral program three years a head of schedule. Then he wrote a nationally ranked thesis. And Ford was awarded an enormous grant. So he sat down to think about what to study. Inspired by his six fingers. Ford decided to study oddities. And through his research Gravity Falls Oregon. Is a hot bed of activity. So he packed his bags bought a ticket to Portland Oregon. Once in Portland he got a car and headed to Gravity Falls.

After arriving in Gravity Falls he bought. An empty lot in the woods and hired a man named Boyish Dan. To build a house for him. Then Ford started investigating.

24 years old

Ford is now 24 years old and has been living in Gravity Falls for three years now. He has seen so much that he is now writing in a journal marked. With his six fingered hand and a 2 on it. There is so much that he's discovered. And the fact that he had found a UFO crash sight. Ford called up his collage friend Fiddleford McGucket to come help him. Three month later Fiddleford moved to Gravity Falls. He started helping Ford with his investigations. Even Fiddleford is amazed about what Ford has discovered.

27 years old

Ford is now 27 years old and he has hit a road block in his research. He decided to get out of the house for a bit. Ford hiked out into the woods and started to calm down. Soon he's deep in the woods. He looked ahead and saw a cave. Curious Ford decided to go into the cave. Luckily he brought a lantern with him. Just in case he was still out after dark. Ford looked around as he walked through the cave. On the floor of the cave are ancient looking pots. And on the walls of the cave are writings and drawings. Soon Ford has found himself at the back of the cave.

There is more writings and drawings. The writing told of a being with answers. He continued to read and the writings warned him not to read the incantation a loud. Desperate to continue his research. Ford read the incantation a loud but nothing happened. Feeling defeated Ford left the cave and went home. The next day Ford fell asleep sitting against a tree. Suddenly he found himself dreaming. He was looking at a role of paper. When he heard a voice say "Hey there smart guy." Ford gasped, looked, and saw a floating triangle. The floating triangle has a top hat, one eye, a bow tie, arms and legs.

"Easy there don't have a heart 're not 92 yet." cautioned the triangle

"Who..who are you?" asked Ford

"My name is Bill. And you're Stanford Pines. The one that's going to change the world. But I'm getting ahead of ourselves." stated Bill

Ford and Bill chatted for a while. And Ford made a deal with Bill. With Bill's help Ford came up with plans. For a interdenominational portal. Once the plans were drawn up. Ford asked Fiddleford to help him build it. They would go to crash sight omega to get parts. Weeks turned into months soon it's December. It was time to test the portal. They tied rope to a dummy. Then they walked up to a line of caution tape.

"Ready and go." stated Ford

Ford and Fiddleford let go of the dummy. Unfortunately the rope wrapped around Fiddleford's wrist. The portal pulled both the dummy and Fiddleford into it. Ford quickly grabbed the rope and pulled. He pulled with all of his might. Luckily it was enough and Fiddleford and the dummy came out. Ford, Fiddleford, and the dummy fell to the floor.

"Is it working? What did you see?" asked Ford

Fiddleford spoke but Ford couldn't understand what Fiddleford was saying. Just then Fiddleford sat up and said "When gravity falls. Earth becomes sky beware the beast with one eye." Fiddleford encouraged Ford to destroy the portal. But Ford said that didn't want to. Fiddleford, stood, walked away, and quit. Now alone Ford wasn't sure what to do. Soon Ford realized what Fiddleford said was a warning. So when Ford fell asleep again. He confronted Bill and Bill revealed his plans. Betrayed Ford woke up and shut down the portal. Then he built project mentem.

It is now January and Ford is on the verge of insanity. Luckily Ford has found out where Stanley is. So he sent him a post card. Ford is hoping that Stanley will come and help him. If he doesn't Ford isn't sure what to do. Four days later Ford knocking at his front door. he grabbed his crossbow and opened the door. On the other side is Stanley. Once Stanford was sure it was Stanley. He invited him inside and started to somewhat explain. What is going on and what he needed. Soon the twins are in the basement. Ford explained about the portal. Then he gave Stanley journal 1.

"Do you remember our plans to sail around in a boat?" asked Ford

Stanley is speechless and didn't know what to say. Ford turned away and ordered "Take this get on a boat. And hide it where no one can find it." Mad Stanley asked "Is that it you finally want to see me? After 10 years and you want me to get. As far away from you as possible?" Soon the twins started fighting. The fight went into the lab then ended in front of the portal. Which was turned on during said fight. Stanley shoved Ford and Ford found himself floating. He looked behind himself and saw his portal. Ford can feel himself being drawn toward the portal. As he got closer he threw journal 1 at Stanley.

Before he knew he's somewhere where he has no idea where he is. He also can't see very well. So he got out an extra pair of glasses from his coat. He found himself swimming through a gravity free sea of lightning and swirling colors. He looked and saw his portal close behind him. Before he knew it he saw Bill sitting on a throne. Bill chuckled and said "Looks like sixer came to visit. Care for a game of chess. This time you're the pawn." Bill snapped his fingers and a beast that is 60 foot tall with fingers and teeth appeared. Scared Ford headed to the nearest space rock. That is floating with hundreds of other rocks. Ford hid deep inside a cavern of the rock.

He heard Bill "Minion got find him bring him back alive!" Ford made his way deeper into the cavern. Son he came upon a family of refugees. He sat down next to a purple fire. They talked about Bill and Ford told them. That he wants to figure out a way to defeat Bill. The refugees gave Ford a dimensional translator and a bag of rations. When it was safe to leave Ford left. He found a rift and went through it. The man isn't sure if he will ever return home.

But he plans on learning as much as he can about. Bill and his weaknesses and learn what he can. About the dimension that he happens to be in.
