The Corpse' Bride's Poem
My skin is pale, as pale as…a dead body
My gown is torn like…a neglected gown
I sleep in a bed as nice as…a coffin
And I guess you could say I live in a ghost town
My skin has rotted like a leper…no, a corpse
My conscience talks to me like a…maggot in my head
My knee often dislocates like a …skeleton
My heart beats lightly like one whose…dead
I wait here for someone to marry me
I know I'm as beautiful as someone whose…died
I just hope they don't mind my limbs…falling apart
After all, I am the Corpse Bride
