Chapter Two

Italics are the fanfictions I used. I never changed anything in the fanfictions, no grammar, no orthographic, nothing!

Author: Bones Pixi
Story: Anniversary night

29th March 2019

The last two weeks were rather slow as they only had one case in Baltimore. The ones near home were the worst.

Especially when children were involved, like the last one. Aaron and JJ always feared that Jack or Henry would be a victim once and Emily was worried about both JJ and her husband as she knew how much the kids meant to them.

Luckily, they caught the unsub soon after abducting his first boy.

As soon as they wrapped up, they drove home to their kids if they had any. Aaron and Emily share a long hug with Jack and Henry and JJ share lots of little kisses.

The past days were spent catching up on paperwork and JJ searching for cases they had to assist in person or where it wasn't too important or only a consult over the phone was necessary.

On a few evenings, Will had the late shift JJ spent time searching fanfictions. But mostly after she brought Henry to bed.

On Thursday evening she sat herself down on the couch with her laptop on her lap. After starting to click through the pages the title Anniversary Night caught her attention. It was about her and Will.

She definitely had to look into it. She opened the webpage and started reading. Into the first paragraph, she already had to laugh.

"You still good to babysit tonight?" JJ asked as she ducked into her friend's office.

"Abso-freakin-lutely," Penelope said as she span around in her chair to look at the blonde profiler standing in the doorway. "What time should I come over so I can play with my Godson?"

"Well, our reservations are for eight, so seven?" They would have gone for an earlier time, but any earlier would have been cutting it too slim for JJ to get back from the Bureau and to get ready for a night out.

"Easy-pesy."

100% Garcia. She always wondered why they knew them so good. So exact like they were all profilers.

Reading further she realized it was their anniversary and they would go out for dinner. As much as she loved Henry, she also enjoyed alone time with Will.

"And for you sir?"

"A beer, whatever's on tap is fine," Will said.

"Certainly," the waiter said as he began to turn away.

"Actually, sorry, excuse me. May I get a glass of orange juice as well," JJ asked after the waiter turned back around.

"Of course."

On that part, she choked. How could this person know about her cravings? She stopped wondering and continued to read.

The last few parts made her smile, laugh and cry at the same time. So much passion for people and couples they didn't even know personally.

But sometimes it doesn't need to be all that personal.

This story was perfect. JJ saved it and closed the laptop. Soon after making herself comfortable, Will joined her on the couch, and together, they relaxed for the rest of the evening.

The next day dragged on and the team members couldn't wait for the dinner at JJ's.

At around four-thirty, Aaron and Emily left to pick up Jack from school. They promised him to go out and eat some ice cream. Afterward, they would bring him to Jessica who was going to visit her parents over the weekend. Jack was really looking forward and both husband and wife were glad for some alone time.

After Haley's death, both Aaron and Emily found it important for Jack to spend time with his grandparents, so Jessica made this trip every other month with Jack.

"Hey Jack-Jack," Emily said as he ran towards her.

She picked him up giving a short kiss to his hair. In return, she got one on the cheek. Aaron joined their little reunion. She loved the times they had like this. Even if she appreciated every little moment, she loved these the most.

"Come one buddy. Let's get some ice cream." Hotch said and took Jack's left hand while Emily took Jack's right hand.

"How many scoops do I get?" he politely asked, and Emily was proud of her stepson.

Back in Quantico JJ came from the little break she had spent outside in the park nearby. She had gotten so nauseous that she had to go outside as she saw a family sitting on a bench eating ice cream.

She remembers the times she had with Henry and Will and the feeling of how Limited these moments would get crept up on her.

She really looked forward to becoming a sibling for Henry, but for now, she would enjoy the time she had with Henry and Will. As she came upstairs into her office the clock told her that she only had to work for another hour before she could go home.

After half an hour she finished looking through the latest case on her desk deciding heavy-hearted that this only would require a consult over the phone.

JJ always hoped to have made the right decision It was an immense load of paperwork she had to go through on a daily basis and they couldn't take every case.

The second case she had time to look through would require two Agents there, preferably Derek and Reid. She wrote the required action on a post-it to put it in the file.

She then shut down her computer grabbed her bag, and jacked, as well as the case files which she would put on Hotch's desk for his final decision.

Like every so often she waited for the rest of the team as they scrambled their files together putting them into the drawer. Ten minutes everyone left in their separate cars.

Arriving home she gave Will a kiss and lifted Henry up. Talking to him she went into the kitchen to get the ingredients for dinner.

Luckily it doesn't need to be special, so for the adults, she made chicken parmesan with noodles and for the kids, she made pasta with a tomato sauce. Emily informed her that Jack wouldn't come so she only had to cook for Dashiell, Erin's son, and for Henry.

Dinner was ready and she changed into a flattering dress.

Reid, Derek, and Garcia arrived, and right behind them were Erin, Dashiell, and Dave. Welcoming them in, they sat down in the living room where they would enjoy a small aperitif.

Twenty minutes later Emily and Hotch arrived apologizing for being late.

"Emily didn't want to say goodbye." He said chuckling earning a playful glare from his wife.

The team and their family enjoyed the wonderful meal talking about different things.

Tonight, was all about the relationship between JJ and Will. How they failed to keep it a secret, JJs departure to Afghanistan and all around the family of three.

After Will cleared the table and did the dishes JJ stood up to get her laptop.

"This is the story I chose. It is really sweet and this writer has skills I would love to have. Anyways, it's about Will and me. About our anniversary and how we spend it together. The best parts for me were these;

"All of it. So since I met you my life has been amazing. When you walked up to me at that crime scene and shook my hand, I knew you were something special. And it didn't take me long to realise I wanted to know you more and better. And when you handed me your card, and basically told me you felt the same, I knew that this was going to be something. And yeah we had our ups and downs in that first year, but it was all worth it. And ever since then you've made my life the best it can be. I can't imagine my life without you and I never want to. You're the love of my life, and one of the best things that has happened to me, the other being Henry," Will said. JJ listened closely to every sweet word. She was so thankful she had found this man.

I know this sounds way too cheesy but I loved this part. Just like this part.

"I found out a couple of days ago, but then either you were working or I was, and I wanted to tell you but there just hadn't been any time until now," she explained and Will nodded along as his glance changed from his wife to the positive pregnancy test. "And with Henry I told you over the phone, and with the-" she began but decided she didn't want to bring up the miscarriage right now. "I just wanted to tell you right this time, no matter how cheesy it was."

"This part is wonderful, mostly because it's the truth." She said and it was silent.

Everyone had to process what she read and what she just said. Will was the first to get up taking his girlfriend into a hug and spinning her around.

"Darlin' this is perfect, you are perfect. You are the love of my life. Whether good or bad days I want to spend the rest of my life with you, Henry, and this little munchkin. Will you marry me Jennifer Jareau?" he asked going on one knee holding a jeweler's box with a beautiful silver ring and a diamond on it.

All the ladies had tears in their eyes as JJ was nodding. No one was prepared for this announcement and proposal. She couldn't speak, all she did was cry happy tears about how lucky she got.

After congratulation on the baby and the engagement, the guests left leaving the family alone to celebrate.
