It was a snowy evening if the city of Royal Fire City as numerous parents were sitting down nearby enjoying each other's company while their kids play. Only a few hours until new years a new 'couple' was walking by the group until they saw a bunch of kids playing in the snow. A form of 'extreme' tag like to call it. The type – catch one catch all. The basis of the whole game was that there was one person who is 'it'. The person who is 'it' mush tag the others with their hand and only the hand must touch another person. Feet and others do not count. Once another person is tagged, they must help you catch the others.
What added to the extreme portion was the people not 'it' can defend themselves using different means. Even basic self defense was on the table. The parents didn't mind them doing it now as it was in the snow so it would cushion damages and falls as well as they wanted to toughen their kids up.
The couple who arrived onto the scene were known as Jacob Keyes and Catherine Halsey. They were attracted to this location by a certain boy who was playing right now. The son of a Captain Kushina Uzumaki and the late Captain Minato Uzumaki. Minato lost his life in a battle against rebels saving the lives of millions when the enemy acquired a nova nuke. His mother gave him to a family friend by the name of Iruka Umino to look after while she pursues these criminals in revenge.
The red hair, blue eye boy by the name of Naruto Uzumaki laughed in joy as he evaded the hands of his friends Shikamaru and Kiba. As if he had a second sense, he ducked underneath the spear tackle of a blonde girl name Ino and a roll to avoid the pounce of a boy named Sai.
"Nice try!" he laughed as another boy launched towards him going for a series of grabs which he avoided with ease. "It's like you are moving in slow motion Sasuke" he smirked ducking low and tripping Sasuke's feet when he went for another tag. Falling due to the trip he moved into a roll sliding on the snow before chasing after a running Naruto with the others.
Seeing the others pursing him Naruto ran towards a huge pile of soft snow. Doing a leap into the sky he landed hard upon it before kicking it up behind him blinding the chasing kids.
"My eyes! Hey, wait! Where did he go! When I get my hands on him" growled a girl by the name of Hinata not seeing Naruto sneak away from the kids but the couple did.
"He shows some good qualities to be part of the program. I want him in, but we must act quickly. His mother is away for now and his guardian is planning on taking him on a winter vacation. I feel the program needs him" stated Catherine watching the boy with a critical eye as he now climbed a tree watching everyone run around looking for him. He even made a few snowballs off the tree branch to throw at the kids forcing them to fight each other.
"The kids smart and athletic. Even making the kids fight each other instead of fighting him. I can see why you want him" stated Keyes looking at the kid amused
With that Catherine put in the plan that kidnapped Naruto during his winter vacation and entered him into the newly created Spartan program. It was during that program that the personnel noticed certain things about some members. Some were better leaders, stronger fighters, faster, or even sharper. But it was something they noticed in Naruto that was different from the others. While he was a amazing trainee, he had the talent to complement every team that he joined and was well liked by all the other trainees. Something Catherine didn't favor too much as it would interfere with the program at times.
It was good to be close with the other Spartans but not so much with all of them. They all needed to grow and learn. Not be handed the answers to them. It turns out while training something else shine like a diamond to help solve this issue. He performed amazingly well alone as well.
So that's what they did. Once training was completed, he was given more training before being deployed as a Spartan team of one. The Lone Wolf. By himself he put the lone wolf dies but the pack survives to the test. Placed on missions based for stealth, recon, and assignation first, it evolved to the point of wiping out bases of enemy rebels. Even shadowing fellow Spartans on dangerous missions as backup.
Late night outskirts of Rebel Base
A patrol was being conducted on the outskirts of the base by two members. It seemed like a typical patrol as the only you could see was the tree like foliage and the two moons shining bright in the sky between the numerous clouds. Being that it was spring it should be raining soon around this time of the year.
"Shit" muttered the man to the right feeling rain drops falling on his head. It started off slow but started increasing in amount in size. "We just had to be patrolling when this happens" he complained but didn't hear an answer from his friend. Turning to look at him, he saw a tall form standing in his place. With thunder rolling in he was able to sky the dark visor on the being before his vision went dark.
Placing the bodies in the woods, the being ran up the to the wall of the base just directly underneath a watchtower. With a leap he gripped the top of the wall before pulling himself higher to launch himself to the walkway of the tower. Landing at the same time it thunders in the shadow of the sound allowed for him to move forward and snapped the unaware guards neck alerting no one to his presence.
Crouching at the edge of the door he looked around at all the personal walking around getting a tally before jumping down to the ground. Making easy work of the rebels walking around he made it up to the communication center. From the window he could see three men working inside doing different tasks. Looking at the edge of the building he looked over it until he found what he was looking for.
Walking over he took his axe and slammed it hard through the power cable cutting the power to the building. The properties of the axe were made of a special metal that made sure electricity couldn't be conducted through it. The men inside groan as the power went out thinking it must have been because of the storm. With the timing of the thunder the being came smashing through the window with a silenced pistol and an axe. Two fired rounds and a slash dropped the three men dead allowing for the being to place an explosive on the radio gear.
Stepping outside the building and climbing up another tower to kill the guard he took his position before pulling out two grenades. Pulling the pins, he tossed them far in separate directions before taking out his silenced battle rifle and waited. It wasn't long when the grenades went off startling everyone awake. With the few remaining running around panicking he started firing precision shots killing anyone he could see. A few rebels went into the communication room to call for help triggering a explosion that destroyed the communications fully and killing them. Within a few minutes the base was littered with dead bodies.
The door to the command room opened for the being to step through into the light to face the commander behind the desk. "You. The one they call so many names. Spartan, Lone wolf, Ghost, Death, Grim Reaper. I never stood a chance against you" muttered the Commander looking at the black armor of the Spartan who grabbed his pistol and shot the commander dead in the head.
Finishing up with the mission he rigged the whole base to explode before disappearing into the woods. A loud explosion followed his departure wiping the base off the planet. Just another completed mission for Spartan Naruto – 009 "Lone Wolf".
Frigate Dawn's Approach
Stepping off a pelican with wet boots the spartan walked up to meet his handler who was waiting for him with her pad in her hand. She watched as the tall Spartan in black mjolnir IV armor walked up to her and stopped to look down at her before reporting in.
"Reporting in as order Agent Konan. Rebel base has been destroyed. No survivors" he saluted before dropping his hand and standing in attention. Walking over to his side she connected a wire from her pad to the armor to get a system check.
"Good work. The board would be please. You also have a new mission assigned that is sure to change things quite a bit" she started handing him another pad full of data.
"Review the packet in its entirely. We are heading for Planet Harvest" she finished as she removed the wire and walked off with him following.
Ignoring everyone moving out of the way as he followed after her he read through the packet about a group of aliens formed something called the Covenant who are hellbent on killing all humans. They are currently invading the planet. His job was not to fight the Covenant but to help secure important assets on the planet. Kill all who oppose or interfere. Whether they were alien or human.
He followed her to a room where there was a group of engineers standing by waiting for them. Moving over to the platform he stood in the middle as the engineers opened up certain parts of the armor and connected wires to them to run tests on it.
"I'm sending data to your visor about what we know on the Covenant and all relevant information. Studying it until we reach Harvest which shouldn't be long as we are very close" she finished emotionlessly before sitting down and looking at her own pad to study.
The information displayed over his visors on the Covenant while the engineers went to work. It first covered the species that had been identified and what they were called and some habits. So far, they encountered grunts, jackals, elites, and hunters. They also each had their own ranking structure, so they were organized. It then went over the weapons they used which was growing as time went on. Next which were vehicles and aircraft that were very bizarre in shape but extremely deadly from the videos he seen. Plasma damage that burns, melted, exploded, and incinerated vehicles and people with ease. Finally, there ships that outclassed our own in every way. It was showing that they were advanced then us in every field.
'They made have better technology then us but who is the better combatant between me and them. I shall find out myself and wipe out any of these Covenant that stand in the way of my mission' he thought was multiple videos of their most fierce and discipline warriors charged the human lines as rounds pinged off their shields.
